My dynamic stretching session with Georgia was transformative. I have been working to recover from Achilles tendinitis and felt like I had reached a plateau. Her very focused work not only made me realize how many patterns of compensation I had created, but also made a big step in releasing and retraining movement patterns. I felt so much better afterwards - like I could stand evenly on both feet again. I highly recommend her work.

I’ve had two sessions with Georgia at Confident Ground and I’m already counting down to the next one. This isn’t massage therapy, Georgia works with my gentle, focused movements, guiding and pushing against them to find and release adhesions as they show up through her expert touch. It’s a deeper muscle release than I’ve felt from most massages, release through movement rather than pressure. Ok, and also my joints felt like they’d just had a full service oil change, smooth and revitalized.
For adventurers or anyone craving a different option, this is it. It’s not traditional, but that’s kinda the point. Georgia brings a fresh take that digs into the tissue in a way that lingers. The experience feels like a collaborative adventure, not just a treatment. (My gametip: try a dynamic stretch session with Georgia followed by a relaxing massage the same day. The combo of healing and processing creates a compound effect that sticks around, leaving me feeling looser and more grounded days later.)
Georgia’s approach, rooted in functional movement and fluid awareness, really connects with those of us looking to explore our bodies differently. Seriously, treat yourself to Georgia's magic at least once. I'm looking forward to session three!

Six months after my shoulder replacement surgery, I'm working to improve my range of motion. Georgia guided me through a series of movements that felt amazing — now both arms feel more alive, flexible, and strong.

The first time I went to see Georgia Mitchell at Confident Ground, I did not know what to expect; I have been to stretching classes and one-on-one sessions - I am a bodyworker, and have experienced many different modalities. First I noticed the session was very active/interactive - I was being asked to do things! She tested muscle strength, range of motion and neuromuscular reaction in every direction of movement, then used resistance to help me stretch and activate the muscles that were not working smoothly or efficiently. It was an eye-opener; over three sessions my walking and movements became smoother, stronger, and easier. I often say to my clients "if your brain didn't send a nerve message to the muscle, it wouldn't contract". Georgia went so thoroughly through the possibilities of movement that my legs feel "woken up". I'd guess this work is amazing for any type of injury rehab, athletic pursuits - especially runners/running sports, and pretty much anyone who wants to be more in touch with their body. Awesome experience!

Supportive, Practical, and Empowering: I’ve attended two workshops so far with Georgia at Confident Ground, and both were deeply impactful. Georgia creates a welcoming, judgment-free space and brings a passion for movement that’s truly contagious. Her teaching is clear, grounded, and full of practical exercises that I now use regularly to support my mobility and reduce pain. Her commitment to accessibility is admirable, and she offers modifications as needed to make sure each person gets the best education possible for their unique body. I left each session feeling more connected to my body and more empowered to take care of it. I highly recommend Confident Ground to anyone looking for lifelong tools and compassionate guidance on their movement journey.

Georgia provides a unique stretching practice that allowed me to not only become more attuned to my own body movement and strength, but also created so much relief for constant tension! She is highly intuitive and follows what the body needs, using variety of simple and complex movements to focus on isolating density and tension stored in muscles and tendons. Do your body a favor and make an appointment!

Georgia was fantastic to work with! She is so knowledgeable and her expertise really shows. She works with your body to help improve your natural movement, reducing tension and tightness. After an hour and half with her I felt like I was 18 again! Will definitely be returning.
