Love this studio, the instructors, and the courses. My favorite is strength X -- weights and cardio. A bonus is that the 6am course is only 45 minutes, which is good for my 8am in office schedule. But I also enjoy hot fusion on the weekends. As a longtime Bikram yogi, I miss the traditional series and can't find a place here that's convenient and works in my schedule. And while the hot fusion varies from class to class and adds vinyasa flow, it still includes most of the Bikram poses, so I get my fix. On the weekends the morning classes are very full and occasionally book out, so make sure to reserve a day in advance and prepare for shoulder to shoulder. But otherwise the classes provide more than enough space. Sculpt especially seems to be popular at this studio. It's fine, but I prefer strength. C2 is pretty fun and C1 is perfect for when I'm feeling sore or need to have more self care and move slower. Restore is just too slow for me period. It's an hour of stretching. Which I guess some people enjoy. Overall I really enjoy and appreciate this studio and the people!

I’ve been a CorePower devotee for over a decade, and I’m just over it. For $35 a class or whatever it is now the studio should not be this disgusting. Every time I go to class I’m trying to keep anything that will touch my body off the floor around my mat to avoid picking up copious amounts of body hair and literal crumbs (is someone eating in the studio?!). The equipment needs cleaning between classes, and not just the half assed DIY wipe down. The Christmas lights on the floor just pick up more crap, do not look at them closely. Clean up and I’ll consider a return but I just can’t help feel like an idiot with the price to disgust ratio as it is right now.

I love all CorePower programming especially sculpt classes but in general their studios could be cleaner. For NW studio, I find myself actively avoiding this studio because of how cramped and dirty it is. Although they can’t expand the space, they can control the cleanliness and noticeable wear.

As other reviews have noted, there seems to be no between class weight cleaning or wipe down from students post class. The carpet is filthy and the weights are falling apart. I think this is an issue that needs to be addressed by corporate as a whole, but the volume of students this location makes it hard to ignore/exacerbates the issue.

I love Corepower, it is a great community. The teachers are caring and compassionate about what they do. They are always friendly and say hello and good bye and acknowledge me and are willing to help and assist with anything I can to better my practice. I have never been as comfortable in a workout facility. I am a life long member with corepower, it is life changing!

I truly love CorePower, but this location is... something else. While there are some incredible instructors, unfortunately, there are one or two who dominate the schedule during the most popular times and their approach feels more like extreme CrossFit rather than yoga, particularly in the YogaSculpt classes.

Instead of fostering an encouraging and playful environment where you can push yourself or listen to your body, these instructors resort to intense and aggressive tactics. They yell things like, "You SHOULD be able to lift this weight. I DON'T want to see light weights in your hands!" and "I PROMISE you won't get BULKY if you lift more - insert eye roll here - COME ON!" and these instructors (not the ones I like) do not give you alternative options or modifications incase you need (for whatever reason) to do something other than instructed.

When you choose heavier weights, you're singled out in front of the entire class with comments like, "You MUST be the Hulk! Guess we'll have to teach you a lesson today..." This results in everyone staring and judging you for the rest of the class. By my fifth class with these instructors, I decided to switch to a different location because I felt bullied and judged.

If I modify a move due to an injury, I shouldn't be screamed at or put down for lifting lighter weights. CorePower NW, perhaps you should consider removing "YOGA" from your name and rebrand as an intense powerlifting studio. Just a suggestion.

Love this studio! Highly recommend. I'm so glad I joined and everyone there is great. My one suggestion would be to please keep the light lower in sculpt classes. When the lights are bright it feels like a PE class and it is harder to get in the zone.

The studio is nice and the yoga classes are good. Instructors are typically friendly and knowledgeable. My biggest issue with this studio is they don’t use microphones so in the sculpt classes, the teacher crank the music to the highest maximum volume, while expecting you to somehow mind read their program as you sort of flop around following your neighbor. It’s aggregating every single class I take. If you’re hard of hearing in anyway you’ll have zero idea what to do until you finally catch on and by then the instructor has moved on to something else you have no idea.

Been taking the Yoga Sculpt for about a month now and LOVE it! Perfect full body work out that mixes HIT, weights & yoga. Impossible not to get your sweat on with the added heat. Great for any fitness level as most exercises can be adjusted to go as hard as you want to or as easy as you need to. Trying to convince all my friends to join. Favorite classes to take (so far at NW) for overall workout & music playlists are McKenzie, Lorenzo & Marnie’s classes! All are great teachers & definitely have motivated me to push myself harder. :)

CP is a good place generally, I've visited in multiple cities via class pass and memberships, unlimited is worth it if you go enough. Here, you just have to find the instructors and classes you like. They have the usual equipment & amenities, but the one thing objectively bad is their mats for rent. I use & recommend lululemon, every time I forget my mat I may as well not go because I always slip and hurt myself on their awful mats. I don't know why this company rents out something they have to know is a bad experience, you can't do half the down-dogs and have to start making up your own practice.

Summer did a great job checking me in and let me know key tips to enjoying and successfully finishing a hot yoga class. Kudos to you summer and then you were the instructor well done well rounded employee. I was recommended by my dear friend and coworker Tyler b. Tyler is someone that I can rely on and is all about a healthy mind and body. I'm so honored to be his friend and for him to be my friend. Such a great class totally coming to detox. And conquer my anxiety of not having fresh flowing air. Mind over matter.

Also, clean location and inside was fresh clean and welcoming . I enjoy a clean high standards business.

One star for the cleanliness of the studio and response from HQ Colorado. I went to a class in late November 2019. I couldn't get into my office to grab my mat so for the first and last time I borrowed one from the studio. Almost two weeks later and $375 to see a specialist and get treatment, I am battling a staph infection ON MY FACE. I called HQ and they had zero empathy for my situation. I will never use the studios equipment again.

I tried a hot yoga class here on a whim... new city, new experience, why not?... and it was SO exhilarating and yet calming (?!), while maintaining the level of a rigorous workout. I loved the instructor and sweated my butt off. As someone who has never taken an "official" yoga class... but am an avid gym go-er, this was a different but truly awesome experience. So fun... that I went again in the same week.

The first time I visited this studio, I thought, β€œThis is going to be jock yoga for rock climbers, and I will hate it.”

Six years later, CorePower is still my most consistently visited set of studios, although I go almost exclusively during the cold months. It is wonderful to get THAT warm at least once a day on chilly days. I love that I can go at 6am or 9pm and then shower in their clean, well-appointed locker rooms on site, and get on with my life direct from there. I also appreciate that some classes are warm, some are not, none are as super-heated as Bikram, and most classes do not just repeat the same sequence of poses every time (although the Hot Power Fusion class is a great modification of the Bikram model). I *highly* recommend CoreRestore as well.

I also get *ridiculously* strong with a consistent CorePower practice. That core strength is for real: it integrates all the rest of the strength of my body. My body feels like that of a badass goddess all winter with CorePower.

Okay place to sweat, bad place to practice yoga. I found the studio super corporate. The space itself isn’t very inspiring or unique - there’s no natural light in the main studio, which is also tiny. There are no lockers onsite so you’ll have to settle for leaving valuables unattended by the front door.
As for the practice itself, it was.. interesting.. but not really yoga. The instructor was misnaming postures, the music was *heinous* (Africa - Toto played TWICE within a one hour class), and shavasana was no longer than 25 seconds.
I think most worryingly was the complete lack of flow within the class and instructing students to get into pretty deep stretches with zero warm up. The demographic of the class was fairly mixed (at least age wise) - I’m in my late twenties, in shape, and practicing yoga fairly often, but diving into deep backbends / deep hip openings with minimum isolated warm ups seems like an injury waiting to happen.

Core Power Yoga has changed my life. I used to go once or twice a week, and now I go six days a week. Healthiest addiction I've ever had. Also, I'm pretty sure I'm getting my moneys worth from refilling my water bottle there twice daily alone.
I love the classes, the yoga clothes, and most of all, the instructors. Thank you for keeping me healthy, thank you for keeping me happy, and thank you for my sweet ass.

Legit studio with really good teachers. There are various classes/levels and classes are offered all day which is very convenient. I’ve been practicing 15+ years so I don’t want to do the same practice every time I pay for a classs. My only compliant is the cost. Classes are quite a bit more then other studios so it’s not my primary studio. Has showers but locker room is cramped.

This is a fun, clean, and non judgmental Yoga studio. I've had great experiences here.

I've done yoga off and on for the past few years decided this year to start going consistently. CorePower has been awesome for this objective. It's calm, but vigorous. Every instructor is on their a-game, but modest and motivational.

For a place with hot yoga, the studio is kept extremely clean. I love that the studios are on hard wood floors too. They also have a decent selection of yoga gear for sale.

This has been a fantastic place for my practice. It's run very professionally and other yogis of all skill levels come in calm and focused.

Granted, I only live 300 feet from the studio. But even if I didn't I would still come here. I love the instructors, the availability of classes, and a mood that somehow nicely bridges the gap between being too "crunchy" and too "gym-ish".
I'm sure everyone is partial to their own studio, and I've heard comments about CorePower being too corporate, but it completely works for me and I love it when I can catch some classes in Seattle and feel right at home.
I'm lucky enough to live in an amazing area and this studio is at the top of the list of things I love coming home to when I've been away. Apart for my actual home, that is.
Keep up the good work CPY!

Oh Core Power Yoga, how I love thee, let me count the ways...

1) An athletic yoga class in which your heart rate gets up and you feel challenged, yet still have time to stretch out at the end of class. Perfect!

2) Great instructors who inspire you to challenge yourself, yet still find the peace and let go when you need to

3) Some of these great instructors include (my faves): Claudia, Sarah, Jill, James

4) Plenty of options for all levels and varieties - standard Bikram to hot vinyasa flow for Type As like me!

5) Great locations with free street parking!

6) Frequent classes - classes are very regularly scheduled so you can get to yoga at almost any hour of the day between 6AM and 8PM!

If I had to point out some potential negatives, they could be:

1) Very full classes - sometimes to the point where you can't do a pose without hitting your neighbor. Open a new studio, please, and create some room!

2) Price - I would love to be a member here, but it's crazy expensive. I usually just go when they have groupon deals.

3) Very fast yoga can lead to injury - some instructors flow very fast - I actually like this a lot, but I think it can be dangerous and cause injury or not allow you to find alignment in your pose.

Overall, if it weren't for the price I'd probably give this place 5 stars. It's a 4.5! Love this place.
