Lauren’s yoga sculpt class was perfect balance of flow and burn! She is great at explaining the form of the room and has such a confident teaching style! Would definitely recommend her classes to any level!

Absolutely love the group classes here! There are so many to choose from. For the price you pay and the quality you get, this is an amazing value. I took Yoga Body Sculpt with Lauren on Friday and it was awesome. All props you could need were in the room (including yoga mat!). Lauren gave clear cues and creative poses, while having me sweat and leave with a great workout! The playlist was great and it was so much fun. Can’t wait to come back and try out more classes and instructors!

I’ve been going to Crunch Fitness for a while now, and it’s easily one of the best decisions I’ve made. But what really sets this gym apart is the amazing and knowledgeable staff—especially Bea, and Estrella.

I’ve really enjoyed the gym since joining a couple months ago. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. I especially love any class with Deanna, Kayla, Mckenzie, and Jimbo. I also LOVE all the HIIT classes! The only downfall is that it’s sometimes hard to make the 4:30 pm start time for some classes. I also wish some of the morning classes were offered in the afternoon.

I recommend Crunch to everyone I know. I especially love the group fitness classes and HIIT classes. My fav group fitness class is the So You Think You Can’t Dance. It’s so much fun and brings me back to my dancing days without being too challenging for beginners!

I do really like this gym it’s spacious and lots of equipment. When you first sign up they annoy you with a lot of cold calling and trying to get you to sign up for stuff. Also on weekdays around 9:30 to 11:00 AM there is some very stinky people that come in that I notice do not clean equipment after using it. I have wanted to say something about the smelly folks but hopefully yall read the reviews. Thank you! I do enjoy this gym.

Went into the gym earlier today and was planning on getting a day pass because tons of my friends have recommended this place. While there I overheard a girl in a pink cowboy hat YELLING at some girl about vacuuming wrong. The girl apologized and kept vacuuming and the other girl in the hat just kept berating her about how she was “vacuuming wrong” repeatedly. The other girl started crying and I was so annoyed seeing this I just walked out. The other workers were very friendly and I was impressed by the huge facility but I also don’t want to go to a gym where workers yell at each other loudly over stupid things. I’m here to work out not deal with the work drama.

I just wanted to give a shoutout to the staff at Crunch Fitness in Springfield Oregon. Yesterday tragedy struck my family as my sweet dog, my best friend was struck and killed by a speeding motorist. I received the horrible news while I was in the middle of my workout. I immediately turned into a sobbing and blubbering mess. The whole staff and other members, despite me looking like a crazy person, were so comforting and helpful. They all helped me maintain my composure and assisted me till it was safe to drive. They went above and beyond in a day and age when most people stare and avoid. Thank you CRUNCH staff and members..

In an update to my previous glowing review, there have been some updates.
If your plan to living in this area permanently, it’s a great gym.
But DO NOT sign up for crunch if you plan on moving.
Crunch has made it near impossible to cancel my membership. My main issue is that I addressed this with the person who sold me the membership and they ensured me that I would be able to cancel anytime, anywhere. That was a lie. You can’t get a hold of management, you can’t get ahold of corporate and they will not help you in any way.
Overall, I will not be doing business with crunch ever again.

Love this gym and the staff. Tyler was my kickoff trainer and i've been with him for a little under a year now. He does an amazing job keeping you motivated and pushing you to achieve your fitness goals! All while being friendly and just a great person to workout with. Highly recommend working with him!

I had joined the gym and my husband and I went regularly.
But he did tragically in July 2025. I had to save money to bury him. But crunch was asking for $150. I asked to cancel because my husband died and I needed to bury him. The response I got from the front desk was heartless. The gal literally said “yea sorry, don’t care, you need to pay fees and an extra month to be able to cancel.”
I was so hurt and upset I emailed the manager. After several emails I finally got a reply that said “I’ll see what I can do”
That was July 31sr 2025. I STILL have not heard back. I am ready to get back in the gym. But I won’t be going here. Not after that have tested me so poorly after my husbands death. They are horrible.

My hardest part of working out, is child care.. I finally was like ok, crunch, right by my house has a daycare. So I get a membership, my kids have fun, they love having all the kids to play with. Usually there is 2 people in there, well today, there was one who stood alone.. her lovely name is Zoe.. so I have a 4 and 5 yr old, and they fight, they are rowdy, there are kids. So I walk in there and all the kids range from 9 no to 8, there are like 15 of them in there, they are ALL playing nicely, quietly, and perfectly!! Idk what kinda matrix I walked into, but I like it!! This place so far, all in all, I give it a 10/10, cause they have great machines, super nice staff, and great atmosphere.. but if it wasn't for Zoe, and this moment I had in here seeing this magic, I wouldn't even be able to be here 💜. Thank you Zoe!!! -Rebekah b 👑

Update:
3 Stars – The Price Is Still Right, But Now My Ears Are Paying the Price
A lot has changed since my last review, so credit where it’s due: Crunch has made some improvements. Paper towels have somehow re-emerged from extinction — still elusive, but no longer a cryptid. I actually dried my hands with something other than hope the other day. Progress!
The adductor machine has also risen from the ashes. It lives! No longer modern art, it now functions like an actual piece of gym equipment. I almost cried.
Check-in? Surprisingly efficient now. The front desk staff is friendlier, faster, and no longer require a blood sample and a password to let you in. It’s like someone cast a “customer service” spell.
BUT. And it’s a big, loud, unavoidable but…
The music. Has. Declined. Dramatically.
It’s as if someone gave a rogue AI access to a cursed Spotify account and told it to hurt us. The playlist sounds like rejected tracks from a 2003 Now That’s What I Call Music CD, and it plays at a volume that defies physics — my noise-canceling headphones are no match. It seeps into your soul. I’ve considered earplugs, prayer, or simply accepting my fate.
So yeah: improvements have been made. But Crunch, I beg you — change the playlist before we all lose our will to lift.
Still three stars, though. Because the price is low, and now the towel-to-hand ratio is finally better than 0:2.
2 Stars - The Best Part Is... the Price
If you’re looking for a gym that’s technically open and kind of functioning, look no further than Crunch! The best part? The price. It’s low enough that you won’t feel too bad when you show up and discover the paper towels have once again gone extinct.
Hygiene? Optional. Apparently, refilling paper towels is a once-a-quarter event here—if you see one, take a picture. It might be a cryptid.
Also, shoutout to the adductor machine, which has been out of commission so long I’m starting to think it’s just modern art. No “Out of Order” sign anymore—it’s now just “part of the vibe.”
And then there's check-in—oh, they gatekeep that like it’s Fort Knox. Be prepared to wait while they squint at the screen, scan your barcode 14 times, and consult ancient scrolls to figure out if you’re allowed to enter.
Two stars because again—the price. But Crunch, maybe crunch a few more numbers into towel refills, functional machines, and a check-in system that doesn't feel like airport security.

I have been with Crunch for almost a year now and could not be happier! There are so many machines, equipment, and areas to do additional stretching or ab work. I also did 6 months of training with Tyler Wooley and it was the definitely worth my time and money. Tyler was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating, and kind. He helped me reach my fitness goals within the first 3 months and have been growing since! Highly recommend both Crunch and training with Tyler.

Got a membership here almost 5-6 months back due to having to visit family in Eugene every other weekend.. in the beginning, I was told by one of the reps that the plan I wanted ($9.99 a month) “sucks” and that I should upgrade to the $29.99/month. I already had a membership at a different gym, so I ended up agreeing to $16.99/month, since that option would allow me to cancel anytime.
Found out that they’ve been charging me $30 per month this whole time and made me pay another $30 when I told them I wanted to cancel my membership. I had to tell the girl at the front desk my reason of leaving several times… she seemed annoyed at me, yet incompetent at her job. It’s a shame because the facility is great, it’s just that the workers and member service here “sucks”.

Not really a customer service oriented company when you try to cancel your membership. Company policy states you have to mail a handwritten note canceling your membership if you’re not local. Policy is geared toward money retention rather than retaining brand loyalty.
Won’t be seeking out another CRUNCH in my new city.

Just joined and the staff and equipment was great! The gym is less than a year old so it was what I expected. Only thing I wish they had was towel service. Everything there was all clean now, but gyms with towel service seem to stay that way even years after they open and it encourages members to wipe down equipment. I know it’s a big expense and people steal them..but I hope they consider it in the future.

Got into the trai ers program was one of the biggest mistakes. I've been getting overcharged for BS. 800$ for a personal trainer that doesn't do anything. Has been a miserable experience. They keep taking huge amount of money for no reason. The last time I called. It was because it was for "paying the building" what kind of scam is going on here. DONT SIGN UP FOR THE TRAINER. Good staff, great gym, good equipment, rarely busy, but poor administration.
Membership benefits vary by location. I signed up for the peak category months ago based on a promotion that allowed guest access(see attached).
Now, this location claims it’s not their policy, which is inconsistent and frustrating since that was the main reason I chose this plan. I live too far away and was already considering cancellation; this change only motivated me more to do so. Please ensure marketing consistency across locations!
If you want a solid basic gym, I recommend it here but suggest opting for the base plan.
Cancelled in person on 4/27/25, paid $26.99 to close out my account, and got a form emailed to me to verify that I owe $0 and have cancelled. I’m reading a lot of reviews that say they have been charged for months post-cancellation, so I’ll update here if I get charged extra after cancellation.
Update: I have NOT gotten charged after cancellation, so yay!

Joined this gym a few months ago and so glad I did! Never had any issues. The staff, especially Riley, are super friendly and helpful! Riley always greets us with a smile and is eager to assist and serve! The trainers are also knowledgeable. I trained with Andre (?) and he knows his stuff about mobility and agility. As a pro 400m runner, I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to train for running. And Nick loves to train folks in lifting and definitely knows his stuff and is able to successfully give cues for correct form. The gym equipment is top notch and there is so much equipment, more than any other gym I’ve been to in this area (Springfield/Eugene). I also appreciate how CLEAN the gym is! They seem to care about keeping equipment well maintained and functioning too, which shows they pride themselves in having one of the best gyms in the area. Super happy with the experience thus far!

If you're a student in need of a gym membership over the summer don't sign up. Even with the "$1 sign up" it will cost you 1 month's cost after you cancel ($30) + the yearly maintenance fee ($50) at cancellation despite being told otherwise. When signing up it says the cost of the prorated annual fee is $0 then you are charged the $50 when you cancel so 2 annual fees for a minimum of 2 months of membership. The manager Raul is not helpful or sympathetic towards his misled customers. Click to cancel is also not in practice even with a california address on account.

DO NOT GO TO CRUNCH FITNESS. They are crooks! I had to get another debit card after I told them over 20 times, and that's not an exaggeration, because they kept taking the money. AFTER I TOLD THEM OVER AND OVER AGAIN TO CANCEL IT!!! Now, they went to collections. Ding on my credit score.

When I first started my regiment at Crunch Fitness, I was a little overwhelmed. I tried numerous times to start my weight training, and could never get a rhythm going. After many months of trial and error, I committed myself to start a routine, and stay with it. Polo Tapia recommended me to start a three month program with him to get the ball rolling, and it was a pleasant learning experience. He was there every step of the way in making sure I was not only pushing myself vigorously, but encouraging me to do it with positive feedback. He absolutely made my weight training both enduring, and fun. If anyone is having difficulty getting started, and don't want to feel overburdened on your diet and exercise, I highly recommend getting started with Polo Tapia. He's the man that will get you where you need to go.
P.S They were also able to accommodate my three month training program after a bit of confusion on the contract. Rob Brown was able to take the time to resolve the matter, and was communicative on the whole process. Thank you again for your time and your commitment to your members. Looking forward to the next time I see you all.

The overall quality and affordability here really can’t be beat—especially with child care included in the top-tier membership. That’s a huge benefit that makes it stand out from other gyms.
It can (and probably will) be busy at times, but that’s to be expected with a popular gym. My advice: show up with a good attitude, be patient and helpful with others, and don’t be afraid to ask or offer if someone wants to work in. It makes the whole experience better for everyone.

I joined because of the child care! Wish they had more hours for it, but most people should be able to make it work as they have both morning and afternoon hours. Well kept gym with lots of equipment and free weight options. Pretty decent pricing, especially for the top tier that includes child care. The contract is less than desirable, but not much different from most gyms out there. I also got a trainer and they have a lot of options to help fit budget needs. I would definitely recommend for anyone searching for a new gym.

Dirty machines, kid care is garbage (limited toys, and 1 adult to 35 kids), times of classes are limited to morning and nights. Also, went to cancel within the first 30 days of the PLUS "cancel anytime" membership, they are having me pay the annual fee (even though it was directly stated it's after months 2) and the 2nd month of a membership.
NEW RESPONSE to owners: Yes I wrote this after the only staff told me my daughter was the 35th kid in kidzone (1:35 ratio), yes often there are 2 adults but still vastly understaffed and horribly under the standard of care I have set for my child to be in.
2) yes most good gyms have an annual fee, you are planet fitness not a good gym. 3) I did sign up hoping long term so when the continual amount of lack this place kept popping up I had to cancel will 1 month of signing up. The annual fee was told to me to be paid for after the 2nd month. However, I was told no matter what I have to pay the second month and the annual fee.
Do better, don't just respond to reviews with lies and hope to scam people into a week at your gym where they end up paying over $120 for 2 weeks.

While the staff are kind and the gym is clean. I entered a contract for personal training but none of my trainers have been consistent. I’ve tried twice to freeze it so I can catch up to the sessions I have left over and neither time have they truly fixed the issue. I have 14 sessions and no personal trainer now. I regret getting it I have ocd and it’s been more difficult to have a trainer than to just do it myself. And I am paying $270 every other week. So currently I have 630$ in sessions because of the situation. Plus they charged me two weeks in a row one time. Also I’ve tried to talk to them and got treated like an annoyance and I was trying to be super chill about it.

Signing up for crunch for a month to try was the worst decision ever. I do not recommend, though they have nice equipment. The reason I joined was because I wanted the chance to work out while my 4 yr old could go to play nearby in the same building and really hoped it would work. I went in and watched one morning when I tried to go work out, and my son didn’t want me to leave. The two girls sit at a desk behind the gate not interacting with the kids at all, there was one tiny basket with legos and a very small toy small car and then a tv, and crayons, like no toys at all. no adults doing anything with the children and the girls working talked pretty rudely to the kids too whenever they HAD to interact with them. If they could be that way while I’m watching I wondered how they might speak when I wasn’t there! I thought it was going to be something fun like a kids play group they do at church for example. Also the first time I took him in before he decided he hated and never wanted to go back, I picked him up and they did not ask for proof he was my child or anything. I was never able to go back to that gym, and since have had emergencies landing me in the emergency room multiple times as I was losing my pregnancy at the time which was a very long physical process for me, and moving out of town. I have tried to cancel over the phone/online email and was unable to go into the store. Even sent a letter per request from prior email, still kept receiving emails and texts about a still active account. They are a nightmare to try and cancel with, I would never recommend this gym. Planet fitness was so much better even though it is smaller.

Poor routine maintenance on machines and equipment. Loose and missing fasteners on ab machine and hyper extension bench. One of the hip belt squat machines is being used with the wrong belt that can easily tear. The belt is designed for dips or pullups, not for squats. My bank statement is how I see what days I get charged. I asked to cancel on the 16th and got charged 11 days later on the 27th. The gyms excuse is that they actually charged me on the 23rd. How am I supposed to track what days they charge me if whats reflected in my bank statement is different? Rob Brown looked at me like I was an idiot for not knowing they charged me several days before whats been regularly posted in my bank statement. No refund. My warning to everyone is to make sure you cancel at least 2 weeks ahead of time if you are paying for training! And dont expect the training manager Rob Brown to be helpful at all.

Absolutely do not sign up for this gym. I was moved to Alabama due to the military and mistakenly forgot to cancel my account before I moved. When I called Crunch, they told me I could only cancel in person or "send a handwritten letter to their location". I have been working out my entire life and I have NEVER seen a gym with such a policy. Absolute scam of a location and you should not sign up.

Horrible staff. A friend of mine signed up for the gym (before it was opened), unbeknownst to him - the staff member told him to fill in some info to lock in a cheaper price and that their was no contracts, no obligation, and that he would be informed before the gym opened to see if he wanted to go ahead and fully get a membership. He never received any sort of notification, and Crunch sent him to collections for over $200 months down the line because of an account he never knew he had. Crunch's business practices are scary! Would rate 0 stars if I could. Take accountability Crunch. Somethings obviously flawed if you've received this many 1 stars due to billing

I’m a retired International strength coach with 27 years experience Within the Fitness industry, Working in Dubai for 10 years Australia, Portugal, Egypt, London, Los Angeles, New York and Oregon.
I say this to give context to what I’m about to say about this incredible Gym here in Eugene Springfield.
After traveling the world as a coach and being And probably close to 100 if not over 100 gyms worldwide, Crunch fitness has impressed me in every single location I’ve entered.
Being 53,000 ft.² here in Eugene, Oregon the sheer size variety and availability of all the incredible equipment (including 10 oly platforms) is a deal closer let alone the staff’s friendliness, gym cleanliness and location.
People love to complain about new business in the beginning when they are working out the kinks, I’ve rarely seen so many male divas in a comment section complaining about amenities when most men wouldn’t mind working out in a spider filled garage.
I also see a lot of people in the comments making so many excuses about the gym and giving negative reviews simply because of the contracts that they chose to sign without a pistol pointed at their head.
Don’t like the contract?
Don’t sign it, or maybe people just chose to not read the contract they signed which is a life lesson for them to identify.
I always find it revealing when people complain about a $30 month membership to a multi-million dollar facility that gives you unlimited tanning, massage and access to all the Gym’s equipment and classes, but they never complain and are willing to spend $200 a month on their Frappa Macha Mocha Morning Coffee.
“When necessity exits only judgment remains.”
People will always use the easiest most available, excuse in an attempt to cover their lack of discipline.
I absolutely love this gym and recommend it to anyone anywhere.
God bless!

Interesting how I sign a form prior to their opening in which the sales rep specifically told me nothing would be charged & no membership was established, I entered the gym once for a walk around tour, and that's it. Then a few months later I have a $300 collections bill?
The craziest part is that they tried to partner with our workplace for flyers & my coworker got scammed as well in similar fashion.
Not exactly sure how they get away with this sort of stuff but I'll be contacting BBB alongside many others.

FYI, if you have a locker for over 24 hours, they break the lock and throw all your stuff away! i had over $300 of shoes and gym bags in my locker and they threw it all away!!!! i was in a car accident that has caused me to be injured so i was gone for a few weeks so when i show up to use the gym they informed me everything gets thrown away. this is UNACCEPTABLE. i have contacted headquarters but i’m sure they won’t do anything about it. i cancelled my membership on the spot but i’m sure they won’t make it easy as most gyms do. all of this is so terrible to deal with on top of dealing with everything from my accident.

Reached out via website to cancel my membership the day I was charged, was told by the corporate company this franchise represents, that this location did not accept online cancelations, and that an employee would follow up with me to discuss how to cancel.
Okay. Perfect.
They never followed up. Next month, I was charged again. Went in the next day to cancel, and was told even though I'm canceling on the 1st, (and reached out 30 days ago) I'm still going to be charged next month, because they need a 30 day written notice to cancel. So now that's now two charges for a membership I wanted to cancel, being told I needed to give a 30 days notice, when I had reached out 60 days prior to my final charge. The girl behind the counter said "Yeah most people just want the free month and then cancel. If gyms don't do this, they don't make any money." I've been paying for this membership since the second month they opened.
When I sign a contract for a business, I expect them to uphold the contracts they signed when they agreed to open a franchise to represent the brand and company well. This location so far has represented them poorly.

DO NOT EVER GO TO CRUNCH. You will not be allowed to cancel your membership except by coming in person (I moved out of state) or MAILING A HAND WRITTEN LETTER, which they no doubt will delay or claim illegibility. I get an error message when trying to save my payment info to my credit card instead of my bank (so I can dispute it if they try to charge me again). The app will mysteriously stop working if you try to access your agreement (the # you need to write in the letter in order to cancel). They think this awful experience only affects customers who are leaving already, but yikes, this is to show them it will affect their CX and credibility regardless. Ridiculous.

Update…someone from the company decided Raul didn’t know what he was talking about and they gave me my money back but still won’t ever use this gym again.
Original:Shady company. Charged me for 2 memberships and 2 annual fees after I had quit. Took documents into the Crunch Fitness in Springfield OR on 3/14 to cancel and the person in charge at the time Scott (who no longer works for the company) never ended my memberships nor did he pass on the paper work to Raul who isn't worth anything because he would prefer I submit a fraud claim instead of reversing my charges.

Absolute trash gym. Me and my gf cancelled our memberships due to the day care being terrible to our child. I literally watched a kid beat the crap out of another kid while I was signing my son up for the daycare. Should’ve been my first hint. Our friend was supposed to be working in the day care, which is way we considered them in the first place. She never started due to the manager Raul or whatever stating he lied to her about them lacking hours cause he was attracted to the superficial airheads who have clearly never worked with children. Raul also ensured me that I wasn’t signing any kind of fee when I cancelled my membership which I got on recording and intend on letting the owner have a listen. Avoid this gym waste of time and money.

A GREAT addition to our community!
Crunch Gym is a new business in our community and I am very pleased they established a location in Eugene-Springfield because it offers our community additional (much needed) gyms from which to choose.
Since there are few corporate gyms (no 24Hour Fitness nor LA Fitness) in this area, it pleases me to see a major gym expand their presence into this area. Crunch gym has created many jobs for this community and is contributing to the local economy. This is a good thing!

Would leave 0 stars if it was possible. Parents beware these kids that are hired have no love for their job or children. They sit on their phones in the daycare and target certain kids. There was one time our first week attending this gym Rain one of the daycare people was allowing kids to smack themselves and others with toys but her main focus was conveniently our son in a toy car minding his own. A few days ago kids were throwing, kicking and bouncing balls off walls and TV but my son was putting his feet under a play rug and that took priority. They don’t call or communicate with parents with attending to children they take matters into their own hands. I have spoken to Raul the manager twice he says to keep giving them a chance. We were patient. Today we went in and the kids in the daycare inform us that he is no longer in their system and that “their system randomly deletes kids” all the time. They don’t care about your kids, always asking what kids is ours with no security in place or searching in the system before hand. Daycare is directly in the front of the building our kids are just sitting ducks in the front not even the back of the building where they are safe. It’s a joke. We went to cancel and the kid at the front informed us that will be charged our annual, monthly and cancellation fees. Not worth it.

For a place that boasts an inclusive environment they sure do have like to have Fox News on loop spewing the most hateful crap imaginable.
Not only that, but I went to one of their Kickoff meetings and explicitly stated my goal was not to lose weight but instead just be healthy and get new exercises and was pressured multiple times to name an amount of weight I wanted to lose until I said a random number. I am freshly postpartum mother, just looking to get more movement in my life, so advising any weight loss is detrimental to my milk supply, and therefore my baby’s health!! I stated this several times during the session, and was told that I still needed to name a number to lose. Thank god I am informed about proper exercise and health for postpartum mothers or else I would be in a really bad situation right now.
Moreover, they did not ask about any previous exercise experience or my comfortability in the gym. They just said how much weight do you want to lose over and over until I just about walked out.
They are not training their personal trainers to actually listen to clients, I felt like I was in a sales pitch, and a bad one at that. Fix your personal training so that your people don’t give harmful advice, and while you’re at it switch the dang tv.

I am amending this review now that my issues have been resolved to my satisfaction.
Today, I spoke with the manager about my adverse and limited experiences a single former staff member. I’ve been advised that they have taken corrective action to ensure that all staff provide reasonable accommodations throughout the facility. I am glad to see that they support their members when concerns are raised.
Furthermore, after the incident that took place, I’ve noticed the efforts to make new staff aware of how to make the relaxation area more accessible.
I find the facilities to be generally clean and well kept considering the foot traffic during the evening hours when I go with my spouse. I enjoy bringing in a guest to the facility when I would like my kid to come along with me.
I would recommend management be more accessible to members. I did not have the ability to reach out to them directly except during their limited hours most days of the week. Having a phone number or email readily available would have been helpful in my situation.

I followed the terms outlined in the contract to exercise my buyer’s right to cancel as established by the state of Oregon. I signed a contract on December 6th. According to the contract, which is screenshotted below, I could exercise my right to cancel by sending a letter postmarked before the third business day after signing the contract, which would be December 11th. As you can see from the photo below containing the postmarked envelope, I sent a letter that was collected by the postal service on December 10th. However, the address specified in the Crunch contract was marked undeliverable and returned by the postal service, as communicated by the insufficient address sticker on the envelope. I then went to Crunch in person to explain that the contract was flawed, as the provisions it outlined to exercise the buyer’s right to cancel were not actionable given the undeliverable address. See photo below, which is time and location-stamped. Crunch verbally agreed to honor my buyer’s right to cancel since I followed the terms outlined in the contract. Still, I am getting charged. I have disputed these charges with my bank, which has honored my dispute given the evidence I have obtained. If Crunch continues to unlawfully attempt to collect charges, I will challenge these charges in small claims court, as I diligently exercised my buyer’s right to cancel under Oregon law.
Edit: I have forwarded this documentation to the Oregon DOJ Consumer Protection department and the Oregon Attorney General, as this is the procedure for reporting consumer protection law violations in Oregon.

MY NEXT STEP IS REPORTING TO THE BBB. FRAUDULENT CHARGES HAPPENING TO MULTIPLE PEOPLE. Check their lowest reviews and see. They keep wrongly charging me. Once for $87 and then another charge for $101. I have no idea why I even got these charges for a cheap gym membership. The manager has since told me they would be refunding me but I haven't received it. Then they emailed me and said they're looking into it but never call me back and are always busy doing tours instead of taking care of the customers they are wrongly charging. I want a refund immediately and this very valid review is staying up until it's resolved. For a new gym wanting to build good reviews, they surely don't care about helping their customers with billing issues. But they have no problem trying to recruit more people to scam.

I do not recommend this gym.
My first issue was with the childcare. The safety protocol they have in place is that they take your picture and use that as identification when picking up your child. Being the concerned mother I am, I tested this safety protocol and sent someone in there to pick up my child (who is not on the pick up list/ they did not have a photo of) and my child was handed off to them. When I voiced my concerns, the manager said that he would take care of this issue by firing the employees who did not follow protocol. However because this happened 3 separate times, I do not feel comfortable taking my child to Kids Crunch anymore. The childcare doors are right next to the entrance of the gym and if anyone can walk in and pick up a child without their picture taken, this could lead to kidnapping.
My next complaint is that I signed up at this gym with the guarantee of 1 month free plus another month free for signing up a friend. (December + January) However, I was charged $31.99 in December 2024 (my first month as a member). After speaking to the manger he said there was no way to refund but that I would be given extra free months. Then in January, I was charged $86.98 and $54.99 on the same day. Now I understand that there is an annual fee of $55 but once again I should not have been charged any monthly membership fees. I then spoke to three different members and was told I would not be reimbursed but could request extra free months or they would take down my information and have the manger return my call. (In my experience, the manager never returns any calls.) Finally, one of the members I called saw that someone had set up two different accounts under my name and I was being charged on both. I have yet to receive any sort of refund. The lack of communication is frustrating and I feel scammed.

Signed up for the $1 a month free and thought they would be charging me the 9.99 after that considering that it's the basic package. Instead they charged me $12 and then $67? I'm assuming this is the yearly charge but it said that the yearly charge was TBD on my contract and one would assume that they would let you know when that charge is coming. Can't cancel online or by phone. Obvious grabs for money.
Edit: It says very clearly on my contract the date for the yearly fee was to be determined and did not state anywhere that it would be charged after 60 days.

Fraudulent charges, rep came by where I work before the gym opened and said that they needed a card on file to lock in the rate for the gym and that I would receive a text message when the gym would officially open, and that's when I could decide whether or not to do it. Unfortunately that is not how it at all went down and I saw a bank statement just recently for $160 dollars. I will never join this gym, and no one I know will join this gym. DO NOT COME HERE. I signed up for the dollar membership and two months later they took $85 out of my bank account. When I asked for a refund, they would not give it back. I haven’t stepped into the building once since getting the dollar membership and I’m extremely upset that I can’t get a refund. This has happened to over 10 different people I know. i’ve seen multiple Facebook posts about it too.
Also just wanted to add in my review that this place won’t let you cancel your membership and likes to argue in person & over social media. VERY Unprofessional. They say one thing, don’t tell you about an “annual fee” and scam you out of your money. I have multiple friends fighting there banks against this company over false advertisement. Front desk is incredibly disorganized depending on who is manning it. Especially when you want to use the massage chairs and tanning. They have a list but since employees keep coming in and out, no one actually checks it. Not very cohesive.
Men's locker room can be pretty gross depending on what time you hit the gym. Water pressure is mid, temps fluctuate and the showers don't have any shelves and the sauna door doesn't seem to close very well.
Still waiting on someone to contact me for the Body Scan. 🤷
Paper towels to clean the machines are the worse. Unless you want little fuzzies everywhere.
Overall:
Most employees are nice and good at their job.
I think the price point is worth it for all the classes and equipment!
Front desk Sophia is awesome! Very aware of her surroundings and people.
Group classes are awesome!
Great machines.
Great weights.

Love this gym. Lots of free weights and areas that you can use. Amazing class opportunities. Staff are friendly and help keep the space clean.

Open, large gym, plenty of nice, new equipment, large locker room, staff is always available and friendly.
Now the reasons for 3 stars-
1. Showers seem like they never get cleaned-there was a bandaid that I personally saw stay in the same shower stall two days in a row which tell me they don't get cleaned regularly- and also have no shelves along with the floors in the locker rooms are constantly dirty- it's a surprise when they're clean.
2. The paper towels provided to clean equipment are so cheap and poor quality that they fall apart when trying to clean equipment which also makes me question the cleanliness of equipment between users. We usually bring a microfiber cloth to use with their spray.
3. Gym claims to be 24 hours but is technically only 24 hours Tues, Wed, Thurs and close early Friday and have limited weekend hours.

This is what I needed for me personally. I have been training with Chase since it opened. Rick from corporate paired us up and it has been phenomenal. I am losing weight getting a lot of strength, feeling great, and gaining confidence. He brings a new school approach and pays attention to new information around physical science. He is also very responsive to questions. I am getting fit without being in pain. He is easy to talk with about food and food habits. I don't feel judged. I keep trying to get Rick to give him a raise. I'm hoping this helps!
My only feedback is that the mens showers don't get cleaned well. Multiple strangers to me have also noticed and commented on that as well. A new place though is bound to have some hiccups though and I'm sure they will get that under control.
Overall the mix of good price, great equipment and the trainers made this a way better option for me when it comes to the other local gyms

John is the best instructor I've had. His vibe with Llama In My Living Room is unmatched. 12/10 will keep coming back as long as John is there.

This gym is very clean, has a ton of different equipment and space, solid amenities, and all for a very reasonable price.
I just had my free personal training session with Holden. I would highly recommend him and the program. Holden was very professional and informative. He helped me immensely on my form and specific machines that will be beneficial for me.
My 1 star off is mostly for the bathrooms. There's only 3 or 4 showers, while most gyms I've been to have double that. The handle for the temperature of the shower will not stay, gravity will force the temp to go hotter or colder. The hooks are non-functional, they flip down when I try to hang my backpack or even a towel.
I've seen this in other reviews but, what's up with the scanners? They hide them?
All and all, I'll be keeping my membership here. Mostly because I love the variety of classes and machines.

Best lawyer up if you want to cancel membership, Until they get sued like Planet Fitness. Canceling membership will be a hassle. I was going to join but to many stories from friends about canceling.

Good, new gym and nice staff that clean pretty frequently, but I'm subtracting one star for them not being a true 24/7 gym. Who closes at 9PM on a Saturday and Sunday?? That's prime time for gym goers.
I'd suggest that they implement a ruggedized card scanning system outside the door that unlocks the doors for a few seconds and allows people to enter the building after hours with their keycard even during non-staffed hours. Other gyms such as Pursue Fitness have this same system and it works great. That's the only reason I might consider changing gyms going forward at this point.

Clean facility with a lot of space, machines and weights to work with where you're not always having to wait for open machines near to use.

Yeah, it's a big gym. Yeah, it's new gym equipment for a few months, but it's near impossible to cancel. If you cancel, and they wrongly charge you - they will not refund you. I've been fighting it. I now have to fight it through my bank because Crunch Fitness will not do anything about it. They have the same thing as every other gym. The daycare sucks, it's way to many kids to few workers. The age groups are not separated enough. It's crazy how little the daycare is compared to what it could have been with that sized building. Walking and having the same person you gave them to say, "is this one your kid?" was sooo sketchy, and gave me the strangest feeling... like you dont remember who belongs to who? Yes they have lots of machines, no they do not have good customer service, no it's not a decent daycare, the parking lot is always packed. Find another gym, its not worth it. They will still charge even after you cancel and they won't refund it.

This is the first club I have visited outside of my home club from another state. It was clean and the front desk staff was super friendly! For just being open a month- I was surprised how busy it was. Members seemed friendly and I was able to get my work outs in while visiting, thanks Springfield!

Good gym, however it doesn’t have portable step platforms, and only 1 smith machine, assisted pull up machine, portable bench, and abduction/adduction machine. Would be great if it has at least 2 of these machines to increase availability.
Also, it seems like nobody cleans the equipment after each use.

Lies lies lies. They will tell you anything to get you to join. "your first month is free" I got charged, Lie , "if you have a friend join you get a month free" , they kept trying to change my plan without asking me and neither one of us got a free month, lie. "We don't allow people to film" tell them someone is filming you they don't anything... lie. Nice facilities the staff are always cleaning which nice but is not needed, the place is new they should organize first (put weights away or back in the right spot etc)
