I had signed my daughter up for weekly lessons with Coach D and canceled further lessons after the first not because of the coaching, but financial constraints. I was told it was taken care of, and yet I got a missed lesson notification? I understand the billing issues now.

D1 offers high-quality training in a welcoming, well-run facility. The coaches truly care and it shows in every session.

Decent training for my son but very unprofessional billing situation. After canceling our subscription (it’s about $200/month for two classes per week —pretty pricey) and receiving a confirmation email that billing would stop after 30 days, I continued to be billed weekly nonetheless.

I’ve sent many emails and called their business phone numbers over the last couple months while the billing continued. Zero response. Last week, I eventually had to cancel the debit card linked to the account just so they would stop charging me.

Not sure what the deal with these guys is but the whole situation has left me with a very bad taste in my mouth.

I finally wanted to switch from a traditional gym, to a gym that was a bit more focused with what they offered. The personal training and guidance with nutrition has been such a game changer for me. Then I have been using the group classes throughout the week in between 1:1 training. It’s been an about 6 weeks and can say I’m on my way to being in the best shape of my adult life.

I would highly recommend D1 to anyone looking to grow in their fitness journey.

My husband and I joined D1 shortly after moving to the area, and it has been transformative. We have both seen huge growth in the amount of weight we’re lifting from week to week, and the InBody scans are so informative for seeing the actual muscle we’re building. The programming Maya has written for us in our personal training has been hugely impactful, and we love joining Coach D and Michael for supplemental fitness classes throughout the week. Everyone has been so warm and welcoming- we can’t recommend them enough!

Mediocre adult programming, feels like they just want to get me through the door, kids classes are fun for my little ones

I did not join this gym. This review is not about quality of their training. They have no information on their site about cost, cancelation policies or anything that’s important in terms of $$. Gyms are notorious for hidden fee, contracts etc. Any place that is not upfront about their prices is not worth my time even if they have the best gym in the town.

The training was good. However, the billing policy is terrible. To get out of your subscription, you need to give a 30 day notice, at which point they charge you a $199 cancelation fee. They won't wave the fee even after 11 weeks of payments at $49.99. I don't understand charging a fee after you spend that much money.

My 16 year old has completed his first month of 8 sessions at D1 and is loving it. He consistently looks forward to attending and appreciates how each session presents different challenges as well as the feeling of personal growth afterwards.

I appreciate the knowledge his trainer, Brandon, shares with each of the kids. He’s intentional in getting to know each of them individually and their particular sport. He then incorporates drills that will be beneficial for increasing their strength endurance.

If you’re not sure if this program is right for your child, I would recommend signing them up for a trial class!

James has been going to D1 Beaverton for 10 weeks now. We really like how the coaches not only hold the kids accountable but also know how to make athletic training fun for the kids. Personally, we have seen a noticeable change in James’ body, physical ability and most importantly his mental strength. We will continue to train at D1.

Great team at D1 from owner, to general manager and of course the trainers. My 12 yr old son has been going twice a week since the first week and improving his overall speed and strength while getting in great shape for the upcoming athletic season.
