I drove from the east side to visit my daughter in Hillsboro and we did a collab workshop making candles next door at AR Workshop and then went to Ether & Stone for yoga. It was such a fantastic experience. I wish I lived closer…I would be coming to this yoga studio all the time, and will certainly come back when I’m in Hillsboro. This place is special.

Ether and Stone is an amazing yoga studio! I was recently searching for a new yoga studio as the previous studio I was attending had to close due to rent hikes. In my search, I was lucky enough to find Ether and Stone. Jes is an incredible yoga teacher who provides great instruction from basic yoga movements to advanced poses.
As a physical therapist, I can confidently refer patients to her knowing she can safely modify poses to accommodate for almost anyone. Many stretches and mobility oriented movements that I prescribe to my patients are also taught by Jes.
The environment at Ether and Stone is intimate, not too big, and attended by other yogis who are kind and welcoming. I highly recommend Ether and Stone!

Ether & Stone has a special place in my heart. I was looking for yoga studios in 2017. Life was a bit turbulent then, and I knew I needed tools to navigate through it. I recollect driving past a yoga studio in orenco, and decided to sign up for a class. At that time, it was pre-Ether & Stone, and Jes was one of the instructors. Shortly after that, Jes took ownership, and it became Ether & Stone. With Jes's creativity and inspiring thoughts she had transformed the Studio creating a space of warmth, peace and connection. When life was turbulent back in 2017, I did over a year of Personal Yoga Sessions with Jes, and this was life changing for me. I developed tools and skills that helped me navigate through the challenging times and continue to utilize them today. As time went on, I wanted to deepen my yoga practice, and I signed up for Yoga Teacher Training led by Jes. I do feel I walk quite differently in this world since then. Weaving in the yoga philosophy within my life, feeling more centered/balanced and at peace amongst the noise from the outside world. I continue to attend classes, and as I walk in the studio, I am able to leave my busyness at the doorway and connect with my breath and body on the mat. As Jes so eloquently puts it, " Bow your busy mind to your wise heart". I am so grateful that Ether & Stone resides here in Orenco and to be amongst the beautiful community of yogis that practice here.

What a beautiful space! My first practice here came after a frantic, busy day, and I genuinely felt like I left all of that stress at the door. After a number of years away from the mat, I opted for the gentle yoga class, and it was just as cozy, slow, and centering as I hoped it would be. The studio is clean and welcoming, and I'm looking forward to my next opportunity to visit!

Gorgeous studio, lovely and knowledgeable instructor, and perfectly small class sizes. Jes clearly cares deeply for her students - love her quiet energy and thoughtful cues! Great class times for those of us who work M-F. Really enjoying this studio and highly recommend checking it out! Note that there is free parking in a nearby parking garage.

From the first time I stepped into Ether & Stone, I found it a calming and welcoming place. Since then I've learned that it's no coincidence that the space feels this way. Jes, the owner of the studio, has cultivated a space and set of classes which consistently serve as a respite, a mini-retreat, a home for self care and a truly lovely yoga experience. I've now attended dozens of classes and continue to look forward to Jes's classes where she shares her guidance, compassion and expertise.

When I moved to Portland a few years ago, I intended to try a few yoga studios and pick my favorite. I attended a class at Ether and Stone and felt so at home in the space I never ended up going elsewhere. Most classes here are fairly gentle and great for beginners or those who like help finding modifications. I am also happy with the variety of pricing models and location (there's always free 2 hour parking available in the garages nearby). In summary, yoga classes here make me feel happy and Jess is kind and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I love this tiny yoga studio! In fact, I didn’t like yoga until I met Jess. She is always so welcoming and nice that it’s impossible not to like yoga. I love that there are different levels and a bit of meditation at every class, cause yoga is not just physical exercise, it’s about harmony within yourself. Strongly recommend!

This a very nice and cozy yoga studio. Jess and Bonnie are great. If you're looking for a softer practice or just new Jess is here for you. When you're up to more challenge and intensity choose Bonnie's class.

I’ve been attending classes regularly for about 8 months now, and I’ve enjoyed each class. Jessica (owner) has been so kind and welcoming. I had never taken a yoga class and wasn’t sure what to expect, but I find the classes to be easy to follow and instructors are always able to help modify poses for everyone.

I went to Bonnie Weeks's Power Vinyasa class on Friday, and I loved it. The movement, the atmosphere (although a bit hot for my sensibilities), and the people all added to an exciting and focused experience. Bonnie's skills as a yoga instructor are commendable, and while her essential teaching platform is not unique to yoga, her style and presentation of vinyasa was exciting and I will certainly count myself a regular every Friday because of her attention and aplomb. I am smitten with this quaint yet formidable studio.
