Welcome to Eugene Yoga! We are a community of experienced teachers committed to fostering a safe and nurturing environment in which to provide yoga and movement classes that serve you. We are honored to be the recipient of the Register Guard's READERS CHOICE Best Yoga Studio award for the past 6 years, as well as Eugene Weekly's Best of Eugene award 5 of the past 6 years. We offer hatha, vinyasa flow, gentle, and restorative yoga, as well as specialty classes in pre- and post-natal yoga, yoga nidra, yoga for strength and balance. Laura's Strong Flow class is a fun, dynamic, comfortable place to realize your body is capable of far more than you thought. In addition to being an epic yoga instructor, she's like a personal trainer, coach, astrologer, and cheerleader for your efforts when she's teaching. I'm way stronger and more aware of my own movement signatures for attending her classes than I would ever be practicing on my own. Always worth the time and effort!

I really and truly could not recommend Amy's Sound Meditation more. Amy is incredibly kind and makes sure that everyone is comfortable and has what they need. I really like the strong bones, strong core class. The 10 to 11:30am is a perfect time of day for me and Donna does a great job guiding us through the different poses/routines.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Jean is a wonderful class. It is very challenging yet very accessible, with Jean offering lots of modifications and occasionally some adjustments. It varies week to week, but with lots of familiar poses as well. Overall a complete yoga experience with a fantastic instructor. I leave each class feeling complete.

Every teacher I've taken classes from have been wonderful. There's a variety of classes to choose from. I highly recommend Carolyn's gentle yoga class, Jennifer's Hatha and prenatal classes, and Andrea's more rigorous Iyengar classes as well as her restorative class. I always leave feeling simultaneously invigorated and relaxed.

This is one of my favorite places to land when I am not teaching. Both locations are very inviting, and there are some incredible teachers. Iβve only attended group sound baths here which Amy holds such a lovely space. Itβs affordable, calming, and each time I walk away with a great experience. Just remember to bring a pillow and blanket or something lay on! Yoga mats, eye covers, bolsters, and a couple of thin blankets are provided however, the floor is still a little too hard for this lady!

I love Carolyn's Sunday morning gentle yoga class. The predictable class structure is comforting (important for people seeking trauma-informed yoga), the movement is just right to help me stretch and strengthen, and the restorative rest periods are good for the spirit. This class has been an important part of my self-care routine and I always leave feeling like "That was just what I needed, I'll have to go again". I'm grateful it's offered at the South Studio during the weekend! π©·
I can't leave two separate reviews, so I'm adding to this review to say that Jennifer's Friday morning gentle/adaptive class has been equally valuable to me. I was able to attend for several months and unfortunately can't go anymore because of my current work schedule. I really enjoyed Jennifer's teaching style where she creates a safe, welcoming atmosphere where nobody is judged (something I struggle with in yoga classes) and variations of poses are seen as a more authentic experience, doing right for your body in that moment rather than conforming to class expectations. I'm really sad I can't attend Jennifer's gentle/adaptive class anymore and really hope Eugene Yoga considers asking Jennifer to teach a class like this in the evening on a weekday or maybe on a Saturday because I would love to keep going to this class and keep it in my self-care routine! Not being able to go anymore has left a hole in my week; it's just that special. <3
TLDR I highly recommend Carolyn's Sunday gentle yoga class and Jennifer's Friday gentle/adaptive yoga class!ππ©·π

This beginner yoga series has literally changed my life!!
I had a friend recommend this class and Jennifer specifically and after much uncertainty and anxiety I finally went and I immediately understood why. Jennifer Jamieson is so kind, pleasant, calming and also coaches you through yoga, the concept and how everyone's body might have a more comfortable version as a beginner. She reminds us to connect with our soul, energy and to fuel our bodies with appreciation and kindness in a way that I did not even know I needed. I had never done yoga as an adult, I felt both mentally and physically out of shape in every aspect of my life! To connect with my mind body and soul in a neutral and safe place with encouragement and a no judgement was exactly what I needed. Now, I'm that dorky student who looks forward to class every week - I can proudly say I am now a yoga lifer!!

Iβve practiced yoga with the teachers at Eugene Yoga for over 20 years and the teachers are all wonderful! Some of my favorite classes include Lisa Namyetβs yoga Nidra and iRest series, Jennifer Jamesonβs yoga for strength, level 2 classes and beginning yoga series, Laura Kempβs Bhakti Nidra, and Jeanβs vinyasa classes. Cultivating Calm and Resilience with Cynthia Gayman was an outstanding experience. Beginning with an explanation of how yoga cultivates a healthy body, mind, spirit with scientific research that supports the effect it has on our bodies major systems, Cynthia seamlessly wove together a class that encompassed guided meditation, asanas, pranayama, mantras and chanting with a final relaxation. The most kind, compassionate, and fun instructors in town! Both studios embody the best of both worlds: the South location is nestled in a quiet green neighborhood with two gorgeous studios with tons of windows for natural light. The new Downtown location is more sleek and modern, with a nice snack bar full of healthy and local products, and only a short walk away from the heart of downtown! They host awesome workshops like Yoga in the Vineyard, and frequently have visiting instructors host specialty workshops. The office ladies are the very kind. :)
