Sweet space 🫶🏽 Vanessa is a real one and knowledgeable about all types of bodies. She offers variations of poses that are accessible and gentle. Also, the r&b playlist was fire. 10/10 recommend.

We had a lovely sound bath with Deja! She was an incredible instructor and we left the class feeling awakened for the start of a new season. FLOW in The City’s space is gorgeous. It feels very empowering, supportive, and an incredible organization for our community. So grateful to have this in Portland! Vanessa is running an incredible place. I cannot recommend this enough and can’t wait for our next class!

I was visiting Portland and stumbled upon this yoga studio. It’s a beautiful bright space, mats and props were provided, the vibes were amazing, and the yoga practice itself was just what I needed. I would definitely recommend and return whenever I’m back in town!

This is a great studio. I found it when I was staying in downtown Portland for a conference last year, and I still think about it. Vanessa was really welcoming, had a calm, sweet early morning flow. I just dropped in that one morning, but it ended up being a great part of my trip to Portland.

What a beautiful and intentionally out together space. As someone who is BIPOC, I struggled to find a yoga studio where I felt seen and comfortable to be ME.. That all changed when I came to Flow in the city. The people, the energy, the music, the space it provides us all to show up and be exactly who we are, how we are! It’s an unmatched environment. 10/10 would recommend!!!

The instructor yelled at me and my friends to stop eating our meal and leave my community rooftop so that the yoga class could use the space. Management sent notice to residents the following day confirming the instructor was making false claims. I thought Yoga instructors were supposed to be calm - maybe that's why there was only one student attending the class.

I found this studio on a short trip to Portland. I was drawn in when I read their purpose statement. It was the “Culture Forward” for me!
Vanessa was amazing! She led us through a beautiful practice to some very dope sounds. The studio itself is beautiful, warm and welcoming! If I’m ever in Portland again I will definitely be back.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! The teachers, the vibes, and the space are immaculate. Lots of variety as far as teaching styles and difficulty are concerned. The ability to be part of an amazing community is my favorite part of being a member here. 5/5!

As someone just getting into yoga, I cannot rave about Flow in the City enough!!! The studio is so welcoming and friendly, and the staff really makes an effort to make sure new folks feel encouraged and included in the space, which I really appreciate since I’m a bit on the shy side hahah. Classes are approachable for people of any level, but really the thing that makes FITC different from any other yoga studio in Portland are the playlists!!! The music is the gamechanger here! They also have a lot of events for members and to involve the community. Studio is well equipped with really nice yoga mats, blocks, and knee pads as well!

A really special gem in the heart of oldtown Chinatown - Vanessa the owner has created a sanctuary for the community to gather and flow. Book a class online, you won’t regret it.

FLOW IN THE CITY is the place to practice!

Creative flows, compassionate teachers, and the BEST playlists.

#TheSanctuary is a breath of fresh air serving the culture & community space we were missing from downtown Portland.

I’ve been a long-time student of Vanessa and this studio is a true representation of the care and compassion she has not only for the people in her studio but for her community as well.

What Portland has been missing! This studio will make you feel welcome and at home. helping you with your practice, Teachers queue you into poses and give you that extra reminder to lengthen and breath. Also very encouraging to push through your practice or take the breaks you need. And the biggest thing for me, was the FIRE Playlists!
