Beautiful space with an amazing ballet teacher. I just checked out Foundation Health and Fitness and WOW! I love that it's so open and airy inside. They have every need you would want under one roof. They have a large gym with all the equipment. A beautiful room filled with pilates reformers. Outside in a covered patio they have saunas and cold plunges. There is also PT and a massage therapist. It's a really amazing experience and all under one roof. I highly recommend talking with Matthew R. He's highly knowledgeable and super fun to take tour with. Once you try it out you'll be hooked.

I’ve been to Foundation Health & Fitness a few times now, and every time I walk in, I’m impressed all over again. The gym is always spotless, from the floors to the equipment, you can tell they truly care about keeping the place clean and welcoming. The staff goes above and beyond, greeting you with a smile and always making you feel comfortable and taken care of. Clayton, the general manager always has a smile on his face, and is always a pleasure to interact with.
What really sets this gym apart is the quality of the equipment. Everything is state-of-the-art, top of the line, and kept in perfect condition. You don’t have to worry about broken machines or outdated gear here, it’s all the best of the best. Whether you’re lifting, taking a Pilates class, doing cardio, or training in a more specialized way, they’ve got exactly what you need.

Discovering Foundation has been a highlight of my year! It’s such a fun and committed community, and I appreciate the variety of classes and training styles. I love that I can get strength training, ballet, barre (and more) all under one roof. They have classes and equipment for stretching and recovery too—I think it’s awesome how well-rounded they’ve built out their offerings.
Class sizes are small too, and the instructors are attentive to proper form and bring great vibes and motivation. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows your name. It really is a joy to spend my time there.
Special shout-outs to Antje, who makes ballet approachable with a keen eye for technical fundamentals and focus on building strength and balance for outside the studio, Sebi, whose strength classes keep us challenging ourselves with smiles on our faces, and Erica, whose barre classes deliver a major burn and catchy beats.

This place is fantastic! There are so many choices in classes and all the trainers are so patient, helpful and encouraging. I appreciate how they check in on how I’m feeling in the beginning of class and are ready to help me modify or individualize my workouts even in the group lessons. I like how friendly everyone in the classes are to each other. The gym is so clean and all the weights, reformers and machines are in great condition. My favorite classes are the ballet classes.
Antje’s ballet classes are amazing! Her attention to detail and planning all the combinations to work your entire body make her classes my favorites. She is encouraging and inspiring to all levels and ages of dancers in her classes. She has built community among the dancers in her group classes and celebrates growth and perseverance. Her dedication and mentorship to dancers in private lessons helps dancers reach their goals. I’m so grateful to be able to take classes from Antje and continue to enjoy my life-long love of ballet through her instruction.

I love pain, and Foundation brings the pain. Not like the pain you feel from stubbing your toe or from seeing a 12 yr old beat your time down the local mtb track. But the good pain, the pain that makes you stronger. No egos, just a solid community of coaches and members who motivate each other to show up and put in the work. 10/10 would recommend FHF to anyone who isn’t looking for the typical bro gym or crossfit cult.

I’ve previously left a review for Foundation Health and Fitness (truly cannot say enough good things about this wonderful community of wellness!) - however, this follow up post is to specifically highlight the exceptional massage therapy services offered by Grant Jordan. His work absolutely deserves its own recognition!
Grant is the best massage therapist I’ve ever worked with, hands down. I’m not looking for a massage just to relax—I want to improve how I feel, move, and perform. That’s exactly what Grant delivers every single time.
What makes him stand out even more is his background as an athlete and coach. He truly understands the physical demands of training and how to support recovery in a smart, effective way. His level of knowledge, care, and expertise reflects the high standards that Foundation Health and Fitness is known for.
I feel lucky to work with him both in the gym and for recovery. I highly, highly recommend Grant to anyone in or near Bend, Oregon looking for recovery, therapeutic, or sports-based massage.

Foundation offers the most complete experience with the highest skilled instructors that you will find. They actually care about you and your well being. If you want to start working on your health and fitness, and don’t know where to start, fear not, Foundation Health and Fitness is the place to come. Whether your physically fit or physically challenged, they help you define your goals and then, with exceptional expertise, guide you step by step towards those goals. All the trainers and staff work with you at where you are at and coach you with tremendous support. Their knowledge in providing you with modifications to be able to participate in the workouts and classes is incredibly inclusive and respectful. With so many services under one roof: fitness, chiro, PT, nutrition, massage, and more, you can get any kind of help you may need along the way. And if they don’t have a specific service you may potentially benefit from the team knows where in the community to refer you to. Being someone that has some physical challenges, the team at Foundation has helped me achieve goals I didn’t think I could reach. I’m blessed to be a part of this health and fitness community. And if you need to soothe or relax some sore muscles then check in for a massage with Grant. He’s got the knowledge and technique down on how to ease the muscle tension and soreness while on your fitness journey. He knows just how to get your muscles to relax. His massage always helps me feel like I can honestly rest for a bit before taking on the next challenge. I appreciate that greatly.

Adding to this review…a few months ago I started to receive regular massages from the in-house massage therapist Grant Jordan specifically for shoulder tightness and mobility. Grant’s knowledge of musculature is incredible. He incorporates gua sha and cupping along with hands on muscle manipulation. I have felt improvement in my shoulders mobility as well as range of motion not only during my workouts but with every day activities. Thanks for the great bodywork, Grant!

Their massage therapist, Grant, is hands down the best massage therapist I’ve ever seen & I refuse to go to anyone else now. Amazing customer service and he knows exactly what to do. Best gym in town! FF includes personal training, group classes that are hard but can be adjusted to fit your level and fun! Also there is an outdoor sauna and cold plunge. There is chiropractic and massage therapy at the gym, Pilates, yoga, barre, and ballet. Everyone is so inviting! if you want to lose weight, get strong and build muscle this is the place! I personally feel the trainers are the best part. This Fitness gym is one of a kind. They are so dedicated to their work and helping people achieve their goals. It’s like personal training. Bonus the gym is really clean.

Foundation is honestly the best gym I’ve worked out at, in Bend and elsewhere. The variety of classes and quality of coaches has allowed me to challenge myself in different ways and see meaningful gains in mobility, stability, strength, power, and cardio. I’m breaking through plateaus I had training alone. The workouts are well-balanced, effective without being dreadful, varied, and interesting. There’s also a great recovery room, sauna, and cold plunge. The icing on the cake is really how nice and friendly everyone is. The classes are small, the coaches will remember your name, injuries, and even how hard you pushed yourself last class. If you’re looking for group workouts, Foundation is the place!

I have absolutely adored taking class with Antje at Foundation BalletU! I have been learning things from her that had never been previously taught to me before, and have largely improved my dancing. Foundation Health and Fitness is a wonderful community of genuinely kind and intelligent people. At first I was only interested in their ballet classes and I was resistant to trying anything else. Once I tried the Pilates and Barre I was hooked. Now I pay for my employees to go and I've got several friends going as well. I've noticed FHF teachers have thorough training and a high level of body intelligence. I feel safe with my body's quirks in every class. They even loaded up my Physical Therapist's special recommendations in their system and the teachers have integrated her notes into my classes! For those looking for adult ballet - Antje is a dream. She makes it easy to stay committed to the practice of ballet no matter what's happening in my life. I can come when I am exhausted from grown-up responsibilities and I can come when I am filled with energy and ready to learn. I am getting stronger and enjoying ballet more and more every week, injury free. Whenever I feel like I might be too tired or too busy to go, my friend reminds me that my to-do list always seems shorter and life feels brighter by the time I'm walking out of the studio.

I have been teaching Pilates for decades and could not be more grateful to have found my forever home at Foundation! As an instructor and manager of the Pilates program I could not ask for a better team and community to be surrounded by! From the facility and ALL of it's offerings, to the coaches and the owners, this place is a first class operation, there are no details that have been missed. I addition to my Pilates workouts, I am learning so much from the strength and conditioning coaches. I come from a history of back pain including surgeries and all that comes with it and they are teaching my how to safely move my body in the gym. I utilize the in house PT's, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, massage therapists, breathwork and assisted stretching classes. I also routinely frequent 541 Social Club for contrast therapy
(sauna/ice bath) and the recovery room. Come check this place out, you won't be disappointed!

I’ve been a member here for a month. Being a beginner, it’s super intimidating to be vulnerable around others. All my fears have been squashed since joining. The instructors and admins are so welcoming and VERY kind and understanding. They meet me at whatever level I’m at with no judgement or attitude. Every time I walk in the door someone greets me by name and is super encouraging. I’ve never experienced that at a big-box gym. Fitness is a slow process and I look forward to growing here. Foundation Health and Firness is what I’ve always hoped a gym could be!
I’ve been frustrated in the past by needing to have multiple memberships at different locations to get all of the various types of workouts in that I crave for my fitness.
Foundation seems to have hit the nail on the head by creating a Holistic approach to fitness working side by side with in-house massage therapists, chiropractic and physical therapy practitioners as well as all of the fitness modalities.
From ballet, to Barre, to dynamic strength and kinstretch, breathwork, Pilates, etc…. you get everything you want or need in one membership and one gym one location..
I also have been completely impressed by the level of professionalism, sincerity, and commitment the instructors and healers at foundation show each and every one of their students. I feel totally seen, heard, and cared for at this gym, which is important when you’re there 5 days a week!!
The setting is also so inviting. All of the work the founders have put into this gym from the maintaining a clean environment, to the lighting, making great use of space and acquiring the best equipment out there, they’ve really put in the effort and it shows.
I couldn’t recommend this place enough! I also really truly love the ballet classes that are offered by a retired professional ballerina! I had no idea how much work and integrity it takes to create a foundation in ballet. As a 50 year young woman, I appreciate the options!!
I can listen to my body and sign up for the classes I feel can benefit me throughout the week.
Also…541 Social is there…..Contrast therapy. Try it….Exhilarating!!!

I was looking for a fitness class that I could do to help rebuild my foot for running, and discovered they did ballet classes at Foundation. I have fallen back in love with ballet with Antje’s Ballet U. Classes. My body is very stiff, but I really have enjoyed getting back into ballet with her “every-body can enjoy ballet” approach to her teaching. I found her classes pin point a lot of weakness I wanted to work on but also rejuvenates my muscles as well. If you are in Bend and thinking about trying/want to get back into ballet as an adult, I would highly recommend trying Antje’s Ballet U. Classes at Foundation.

I have lived in the US for seventeen years after moving from Germany. I have never found a venue as fitting for taking ballet classes as Foundation. Now I am teaching ballet classes!!!! Foundation fitness is the bomb. If you want a fun place to workout and meet peeps this is it. Matt is so friendly and fun. Sebi is a awesome instructor and so good a making you sweat. Sebi is the best!

Foundation's approach to fitness is unique. Everyone there is passionate about getting people stronger and healthier over time. You can see it in the classes they offer, between Strength, HIIT/Cardio, Pilates, Yoga, Barre and more. I love the synergy between all these classes.
I find the same energy and intensity I loved in CrossFit gyms but I find the programming smarter with built-in warm-ups and cool downs, and a continuity week after week.
All classes are challenging yet approachable for every level and coaches always make sure to correct your form, make modifications and find different progressions for harder exercises.
I joined Foundation with a back injury and I feel a lot stronger 3 months in. It makes managing back pain so much better.
The community is also amazing, from the staff to all members. It makes such a difference in how enjoyable and motivating it is to workout.
It's been really fun to watch it grow since its inception.
Foundation also partners with 541 Social Club (same location) for contrast therapy (sauna / cold plunge) which has really helped me with recovery and pain management.

I had just moved to Bend in December of last year, I was looking for a fitness center that had an ice bath and a cool community of people to connect with.
I found Foundation and was pumped! I ended up joining the launch team and am on staff now. But I tell people all the time, I would have been a member here anyways.
You will see me still taking the classes, using the Normatec boots or recovering in the ice bath.

A few years ago, I had a severe concussion and brain bleed that affected my quality of life worse than I could have known was possible. It has been a painful and sometimes depressing part of my life until I started to fight back.
I started a program that the first eight weeks was to reconnect and strengthen brain, vision, and a self recovery from everything type of deal. On week 9, the program suggested to incorporate physical rebuilding.
My grandson, Grant Jordan, works as a Personal Trainer and Licensed Massage Therapist at Foundation Health and Fitness and I made an appointment to tour the facility and to hear his thoughts on creating a program to try to rebuild and strengthen my body and mind.
The hardest part was walking into the facility and being nervous that only extremely fit people would be in there or people might wonder why a person like me might be doing in there.
The gym is extremely professional, clean and welcoming. There is not a single employee or person in there that I have met that did not treat me or look at me as though I was any different. I quickly realized that anybody who was in that gym was wanting to better themselves and that everyone treated everyone else with dignity and respect.
Grant designed me a program with him and it also involved starting a Pilates journey in the same facility. I chose a one on one sessions with a beautiful woman by the name of Alexa Morgan, who runs the Pilates portion of the gym.
Alexa is knowledgeable and professional and her ability to just be real on her own journey to keep pain at bay but also teaching as she wakes up my muscles that have been asleep for far too long. She knew I am i recovery and the Pilates machine had me on my back, without me even asking, she knew the bright lights could be a problem and already had the lights dim with great background music going as she taught me. It was great!
All members at Foundation Health and Fitness has given me a feeling of hope.
I see Grant for LMT work, cupping and now personal training as we take it at my pace to rebuild and attempt to grab my life back and will continue to see Alexa for the Pilates portion in an attempt to put myself back to a better me.
I recommend this very clean and professional facility to everyone looking to better their life. I appreciate you all!
