To whom this my concern,
Safe Splash has been very fun so far. I have learned many things like how to fix my butterfly because of the encouraging staff/teachers. I improved because of these staff helping me with my swimming journey. I really appreciate the staff that are helping me. They have taught me how to do freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. The way the teach is very detailed and has a lot of feedback and compliment. The method they teach you is very specific details and every class they make us practice and improve our skills. The way they teach me/you is very effective and is very helpful. All of the instructors are very kind and they help us with anything. Now swimming feels safe and I can elude any types of problems instead of drowning because I know how to tread water (which is very helpful to me because I am short!) I feel that I have improved since the first day I did my first swim class and I feel that I am safe at Safe Splash and that I could recommend this to anyone and that they could stay, be safe, and have fun. In Safe Splash, I will always saw that the instructors are very nice and they show a lot of kindness. I will say that Safe Splash is a very fun place. It has neat facilities and that they is everything that you need to
learn how to swim!
Regards, a swimmer named Dharshan (advanced 1 student!)

Been sending both of my kids here for a couple years now the staff have always been so helpful and the kids have made a lot of progress since they first started. Never would have imagined that my youngest could even float but look at him now. Staff are really great with encouraging and helpful and if we ever need to reschedule a class they got you. 10/10 love this place

We had a great experience with both my kids at Safesplash. The coaches are well-trained, and the monthly splash and tell sessions are particularly helpful for parents to understand their child’s progress.
I highly recommend Safesplash, as it helps children learn in a way that will be beneficial throughout their life.

My son has been attending SafeSplash Swim School for the past few years, and the progress he’s made has been incredible. When he first started, he couldn’t swim at all — now, he’s like a fish in the water! His confidence has grown by leaps and bounds, and it’s been amazing to watch him develop both his skills and his love for swimming.
He genuinely looks forward to class each week, and we've had consistently great experiences with all of his instructors. They’ve been patient, encouraging, and really know how to connect with kids.

Really happy and satisfied with the staff and instructors and also to learn about my child's progress. All the instructors teach swim lessons patiently and review child's progress with parents at the beginning of each month. Would highly recommend. Thanks to Chris and all the instructors, past and present!!

The instructors have been great! They’ve been able to work with both my children giving the individualized attention they need. One of my kiddos is tentative and needs more reassurance and the other one is like a little duck in the water and needs to be supported in being challenged and they have been able to meet both their needs 😊 my kids always look forward to swimming.

We have really enjoyed our time at the hillsboro safeslash location . We enrolled our daughter when she was 3 and she was scared to get in but they were so kind ro get her into a toddler parent class for few days to acclamatize . There has been no looking back sine then , she is now at level 3 thanks to focused care she has got from her instructors Britany , Chris and Sarah . It was also great experience working with the managers like Chris as they are onsite most of the time and also easily reachable directly via phone or email for scheduling or other questions. Big fan of the center so much so that I have enrolled in adult classes.

Safesplash Hillsboro is an excellent facility to learn swimming skills. My kids love the sessions. Instructors are focused on improving student swimming skills and small class size helps individual attention. Kyana and Vy helped my kids excel in the swim technique. Chris has been great managing the classes and make-up sessions. Highly recommend this facility for swimming.

Starting 2nd summer here at Safesplash Hillsboro. My son is taking adaptive swim classes and the instructors are very patient, kind, and encouraging! They did accommodate a class for me when they didn't have an adaptive one, which I appreciated. They tend to run their pool a little on the cooler side, which last year, my son's lips would turn blue from being cold after the 30 min. lesson. My son has a lean build, so we bought him a wetsuit for class and that so far seemed to help.
When I reached out to customer service for a problem with tuition they billed incorrectly, they were apologetic and they fixed it immediately.
So far we are enjoying classes at Safesplash Hillsboro!
**Update** October 2025- our son has been taking lessons for 6 months now and he's progressed to level 3! Vy, Kyana, and Chris have been accommodating to make sure our son has his lessons. We have been pleased with the instructors and the program overall! 🏊🏼♂️

Chris M. and Kyana A. are outstanding and accountable swimming instructors. Both of my children, Kimi and Kayson, ages four and eleven, have been enrolled since April 2024, and the progress they've made is remarkable. Their swimming skills have significantly developed and improved under Chris and Kyana's attentive and responsible guidance. I highly recommend their classes—you’re more than welcome to join and see the difference for yourself!

I could have given more stars for this Safe splash location if there was a place to do so. My kid, who is 7 now has been coming here since he was an infant. My daughter, too, was taking classes here as well and has graduated to participate in swim teams. All the teachers we have had over the years were great including the current teacher Brooklyn. Chris, who runs multiple locations of Safe splash across Portland/Seattle is a great manager/communicator. Overall, we are very happy with Safe splash and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good swim class for their child.

I’ve been bringing my kid to SafeSplash for sometime. We love the location since it’s close to our house. The management is kind and cooperative and very friendly and adjusting. I’ve never had an issue scheduling a make up class or them adjusting extra time if we by chance are late to class. The only issue is change of instructors sometimes, which they are slowly getting better with these days. Thank you team SafeSplash!

My daughters have taken swim lessons at Shute Park and Forest Grove in the past. Unfortunately, the first challenge was just getting them into a class — it often felt like a battle with other community members for a spot. Once they were enrolled, I didn’t see much improvement in their swimming abilities, which was disappointing.
I decided to try SafeSplash, and I’m so glad I did. The difference has been tremendous. My daughters have made noticeable progress, and I credit a lot of that to the structure of the program and the dedication of the staff. Kayna, in particular, has been incredibly helpful when it comes to scheduling makeup classes and making the experience smooth for our family.
While dealing with the corporate side of things can be a bit frustrating, the Hillsboro branch, run by this team, is outstanding. Their commitment and professionalism make all the difference. I highly recommend this location for swim lessons!

My kids are progressing well in their semi private class and they enjoy it too. We don't get much communication regarding what skills they are working on or what it takes to move up to the next level. The most tedious item is scheduling make up classes. Semi private classes are impossible to schedule on the app and although the on call customer service is polite, they almost always need to do a call back to approve scheduling a make up (and sometimes don't leave a voicemail then someone else takes the class) and they can only schedule them 2 weeks in advance, so have to keep calling back for availability. Need better options for scheduling makeups and for cancelations on their end, customers should have the option to receive refund/credit the account when makeups cannot be easily scheduled.

I like the facility due to proximity and how 1:1 focus the coaches give to kids during semi-private classes. They are flexible with make up classes and management do a good job of listening to concerns or addressing any issues. Only wish the pricing is more reasonable and also have more dates are available - Which I think is work in progress.

I like how the coaches are really engaging and communicates very clearly with my son.
Continuation is a big thing for us. We have the same set of great coaches that are continuing with this center, and are working with my son for more than a year now. Even when my son's level changes, he is still working with the same coach. I truly appreciate that.
I love working with this management team - its very easy to reach out to them, find a class, accommodate schedules, basically whenever i need some help.

Our experience with SafeSplash Swim School in Hillsboro was unfortunately not as positive as we had hoped. We initially signed up for a month of classes, but decided to discontinue after encountering several issues.
The main problem was overcrowding. During our session, there were six other families present, resulting in about nine people in the pool simultaneously. This created a very cramped environment, making it difficult for us to focus on the lesson and for our child to receive adequate attention.
The pool area's layout also presented challenges. The sun's glare made it hard for us to see what was happening in the water, and we struggled to hear the instructor's directions due to the noise and echoes. These visibility and audibility issues significantly impacted our ability to follow along and support our child's learning.
Given the cost of the lessons, we expected a more personalized and attentive experience. The crowded conditions and environmental factors made it challenging for our child to receive the focused instruction we were hoping for.
While SafeSplash may work well for some families, the combination of overcrowding, visibility issues, and difficulty hearing the instructor led to an unsatisfactory experience for us. We felt that the value provided did not align with the cost and time invested.
It's worth noting that experiences may vary, and perhaps smaller class sizes or different time slots might offer a better experience. However, based on our particular session, we couldn't justify continuing with the program.

First off, the quality of the lessons was very bad. I felt like my child barely got feet wet. Thirty minutes? It is actually 3-4 min of actual lesson! We could've learned more from a YouTube video.
Unless you enjoy throwing your money into the deep end and watching it sink without a trace, steer clear of Safesplash Hillsboro. They are literally stealing people's money. I also requested the authority to a review of the lesson footage to back up my concerns, but it seemed to vanish into the depths of their inbox. Communication, it seems, was as elusive as a sunken treasure. No written communication so far although I have sent several message/email through their website. I only got a call back.

If I could give no stars I would. I called ahead of time to have my classes for my children be cancelled so I wouldn’t be billed for the next month. Was told they had no record of that, and they would only submit me half the refund. My children have not taken a class for the next month. I want my money back in full.

The cost to quality ratio is abysmal. If you sign your child up for lessons here, know that they will get about 6 minutes of swim lessons in that 30 minutes a week. If the class is cancelled, you will likely have to badger them to give you a make-up token (I have had to call or talk to one of the instructors multiple times to receive this token). The instructor will likely change multiple times and be replaced by another brand-new instructor that does not receive sufficient training. By the time that instructor has determined how to teach swim lessons, they leave. The promised evaluations do not happen. Communication will be lacking.
Swim lessons are difficult to come by right now. This isn't where you want to look. We tried it for many, many months hoping that the quality would turn around and it has not happened.

Our 5 year old son has been going here for about 4 months and it's been a mess. Lots of classes canceled never the same instructor they only get about 7 min of actual swimming instruction per session often times class is dismissed 5 minutes early and that's on a 30 min class that's a big deal. Never enough seats for parents to sit. Mostly he hasn't learned much of anything. Won't be returning its been a waste of time and money

Last Friday (April 7th) during my daughter's first class I HAD TO JUMP IN THE WATER TO SAVE HER. The instructor was far with another kid and the person outside the pool who was apparently the "lifeguard" didn't pay attention to the situation. None of them came to our help or paid much attention to what happened. It felt very unsafe to have kids unattended during class. I don't want to be in a situation to have to jump in the water again to save my daughter. And that's not even counting the fact I lost my phone during the incident due to water damage.

Hi, my kids have used safe splash for several months. Based on my experience, I will NOT recommend this place if you are genuinely desperate to teach your kids the life saving skill. Absolutely zero communication from safesplash about change of class timing, cancellation of classes, double charging the monthly fees and clock based teaching without pushing for betterment for kids skills. As I mentioned, this will be good place if you are not finding any other place. In general, quite disappointing with such unprofessional behavior…

I do not reccommend this swim school for the following reasons:
1. Classes are 30 minutes 1x/week with 4 students per class and 1 instructor. The instructors spend about 10 minutes total with each kid, if you're lucky. It's $185 per month so $46 per class. Sound like a rip off? Yes, yes it is.
2. They cancel classes based on weather, which is understandable. However, they do not refund you. They offer make-up classes. Which, if you cancel are useless.
3. My child went to a grand total of 2 classes and I was charged over $300. I dropped the class because he is still too afraid of water at this point. The customer service team told me I was one day late to recieve any kind of refund. Moreover, that refund would only be 25% of my March tuition.
I feel completely conned out of money by this company. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB so hopefully they rethink their policies in the future. I write this review as a warning to other parents that are thinking of enrolling in this swim school. Go elsewhere!

I am writing as parent of kid who has taken SafeSplash Swim School classes. One of the worst company - literally a fraud operation. Takes your money, then they cancel classes at their own will, do not refund your fee for cancelled classes or let you reschedule. If your kid is sick and you need to cancel or reschedule class for any reason, they do not allow for that as well. Their customer service is totally 3rd class and frustrating as you never get to talk with any responsible manager or company employee. They just take your message with promise to call back, however then never responds afterwards. Just pathetic. Better find other places to learn swimming as you will just get cheated here. I wish we could give them 0 star rating.

Sammy is a wonderful teacher. That is a horrible simplification but it’s accurate. When I first brought my five year old in for swim classes she was afraid of putting her face in the water and wouldn’t think about going near a pool without her floaties. Today at splash and tell she showed me her side breathing. The coaches Jordan Taylor and Steven are all top notch educators who ensure my child is pushed to learn and excel regardless of their level of current experience. The staff are kind and caring and more than willing to accommodate a wide range of circumstances. This is also the only company that I have ever heard of that stops billing you if they can’t get ahold of you or if you can’t make it for long periods of time, most places just keep dinging you till you cancel, not these guys. All and all a fantastic group of people and great results kids love it and so does my family. Thanks safe splash
