I generally enjoy Lifetime Beaverton, but two recent experiences were disappointing.

At the front desk, a staff member was impatient and unhelpful while my family and I tried to add a new member. The response was defensive and unprofessional, though another staff member stepped in and handled it properly.

Later, on the 3rd floor during a strength class, an instructor yelled at members for accessing dumbbells and jump ropes, even though everyone was doing individual workouts and the class wasn’t clearly in session. The hostility made the workout environment uncomfortable.

Most staff are excellent, but these repeated issues make the member experience inconsistent. I hope management addresses them to maintain the high standards Lifetime promotes.

On 11/29/2025, Coach Ken’s tone at Lifetime Fitness during the Saturday 10 AM Alpha class was completely unacceptable. I accidentally crossed the training area, and instead of communicating professionally, he spoke to me in a rude and aggressive tone. I immediately apologized and changed my direction.

Later, when I approached him calmly to address the interaction, he used the slang phrase “Ken and Karen,” which made me feel even more disrespected. For context, “Ken and Karen” is a derogatory U.S. slang term used to mock people as entitled, difficult, or overly demanding. It is widely recognized as an insult, and using this kind of language toward a member is entirely unprofessional.

Our family has been Lifetime Fitness members for almost three years, and we have never experienced anything like this. Every staff member and coach we’ve interacted with has always been extremely friendly, respectful, and kind. This incident stands out precisely because it does not reflect the culture we’ve known and appreciated at Lifetime.

The issue was not his words—it was his tone, attitude, and the unnecessary sarcasm. Members deserve clear and respectful communication, not hostility. I hope Lifetime Fitness addresses this so all coaches uphold the professional standard that the rest of the team consistently demonstrates.

My partner has alzheimers and I bring him to lifetime regularly. He wandered away from the area where I was working out and I couldn't find him. Eric at lifetime helped me to locate him. Can't emphasize how much the club has helped me with an outlet for my frustrations...they allow him in the family changing room otherwise I would not be able to use lifetime. Thank you lifetime..

Can i give them 0 stars? Visiting from out of town and called twice ahead of time to confirm that day passes were available — especially since it was a holiday. Both times, I was told yes.

I arrived at 7 AM this morning only to be met with an extremely rude front desk employee who immediately said no, with zero explanation or effort to help. Completely different information than what I was given over the phone.

I went out of my way to get here based on what their own staff told me, and the customer service was honestly terrible. Definitely not the experience I expected from Lifetime, especially when traveling.

Would not recommend this location.

My locker in the men’s locker room was broken into by someone using a master key (likely an employee) and my Rolex was stolen. From the sounds of it, this is not a rare occurrence. Lifetime offered nothing other than to file an incident report.

I’m truly disappointed to be changing my 5-star review after so many years of loyalty. We’ve been founding members since Life Time Beaverton opened and were clearly told our rate would remain locked. After receiving notice of a $40 monthly increase, it feels like that commitment to long-term members has been forgotten.

I have seen them increase on members slowly and I’m wondering how they target their members because some have not experienced an increase. Is it intentional? It appears this way. But why are they increasing the price when we were told with their initial sign up that we would be locked in?

Their excise for the increase is that it will improve the club, however I have not seen any improvements in the 3+ years. A new machine might replace something maybe every year. But if anything, there has been a decline in the club.

We live 30 minutes away and have made the drive regularly because we believed in this club and community. Our son competes on the swim team, and we’ve supported Life Time wholeheartedly despite the distance.

We’ve always valued the staff and the quality of the facility, but it’s frustrating to see loyalty disregarded.

Awesome indoor pickleball courts! This place is serious about pickleball. They have a whole team of coaches to monitor play, conduct lessons, and coordinate activities. The open play and leagues are well organized. They have paddles for sale and for free demos. The gym area is enormous. The spa and pool areas are super nice as well.

Many of the reviews, I support. It’s a great gym, outside pools is amazing, classes are good and the facility is immaculate. Membership is on the spendy side. Classes can be crowded for the really popular ones and times and hard get in to, extra fees on classes, front desk has employees that are better than others but mostly good, great gym staff on the 3rd floor and in the classes I’ve taken, kids academy is great, cafe food is great, swimming lessons are great but do agree that there’s a gap of classes and activities for kids over 5. And I don’t expect anyone to ever answer the phone.

The worst part I’ve found are the MEMBERS! Assuming the cost would make this club not optional for many, Money does not equal class or manners! The members are rude and dirty (thank goodness operations is so great at cleaning up after these people). They don’t understand what being in line means - waiting your turn- cleaning up after yourself and your kids, it’s a gym not an amusement park, you can’t block the stairs, machines, walk area catching up with your friends and think no one should ask you to move, you can’t be drunk on your own alcohol you brought in that Hydroflask and YES, the rules apply to you too! We all paid the same membership fees so YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL.

I toured this twice and realized the prices are absolutely awful. Youre going to save 10x more money building a gym at home. The steam room was just a warm humid room and barely worked. Way to many people in the steam room and sauna as well as the cold plunge. The sign up price and monthly for a family of 4 is more than 3 car payments combined into 1 month. I was hoping to leave villasport to find a better gym but unfortunately one does exist. Lifetime fitness was so cool when it first started but I watched the price go up nearly 50% from the " founders price ". The pool for the kids is weak and there are no structures for the kids to play around. Its just a basically pool. Id recommend going else where or like I recommended home gym save the $$

I really wish this location would match the hours of other Life Time clubs. Every other one I’ve been to is open until 12am seven days a week, but this one closes at 10pm on weekends. It’s frustrating for those of us who work night shifts—especially with a major hospital right down the street. For a premium membership price, the hours should reflect the needs of the community. I’ll gladly update this to a 5-star review once they figure out how to staff the extra 4 hours a week.

I mostly use this gym for swimming outside, but they’ve closed most of the outdoor lap pool for people to float around in these annoying giant floaties. There’s only 2 lanes left for outdoor swimming. This often results a few adults floating around and taking up 80% of the pool while 4 swimmers must be crammed into 2 thin lanes. Will be cancelling my membership.

Life Time has been an excellent experience so far. The staff are friendly and welcoming, which really makes this place stand out. Overall, it’s a luxury gym that feels worth every penny.

The first floor has a café, lounge, clean locker rooms with saunas and plunge pools, and multiple indoor and outdoor pools, including an adults-only option and fun water slides. They also have lifeguards on duty, which gives extra peace of mind for families.

The second floor offers plenty of included classes, indoor basketball and pickleball courts, and a great Kids Club that keeps children active with real activities instead of screens.

The third floor has top-notch weight and cardio equipment, guided workout tech, and recovery tools like hydromassage and compression therapy. There’s plenty of space and equipment for serious lifting too.

One of the best perks is the Kids Club and their programs. The teachers are caring and certified, and the activities are great. It’s so convenient to drop the kids off for complimentary classes while adults work out. They even have Parent Night on weekends where you can drop the kids off for a few hours. It’s an amazing perk if you have little ones.

The swim program is another highlight. My kids love it and stay motivated when they see older kids dive. They really want to keep learning so they can do that too. The swimming instructors are caring, certified, and the coaching gets better as kids move up. There are always lifeguards on duty, which makes it feel extra safe. The family locker rooms are very convenient and always clean.

Parking can be a bit of a hassle since it fills up quickly, but so far I’ve always been lucky enough to find a spot.

I love LifeTime, butttttt….

If I could complain about one thing it would be the pools the pools the pools. The pool hours for kids are terrible and you aren’t able to free swim without lifeguards present. Two weekends in a row now they haven’t had enough lifeguards to staff everything appropriately. The outdoor pool is only open from late May to early September and the indoor kids pool is only 2ft deep. Kids under 12 aren’t able to use the hot tub and the slides are slow and not nearly as fun as their neighboring competitor club.

Kids Club: 20/10
Gym: 10/10
Classes: 10/10
Spa: 10/10
Cold Plunge/Hot Tub/ Sauna/Steam Room: 20/10
Showers/Locker Rooms: 10/10

Literally everything else about LifeTime is amazing.. but ughhh this club seriously lacks when it comes to the pool availability. If your sole interest is swimming for your family then get a membership at Villa. Pools are open year round and you can free swim with your kids without lifeguards present. (I know this because we are members to both clubs for this reason)

Otherwise, LifeTime is your club because everything else is outstanding.

I’ve been going here since they opened and I’m thrilled! I can’t believe some of the whiny reviews here. Sometimes parts of the facilities are closed for repair or cleaning but they are usually in off times and people need to understand that when a facility is open the majority of the day and night they have to have time for updates and maintenance. The staff retention is fantastic—many people still work here after two years of being open! The facilities are always so clean and inviting. The instructors are wonderful and there’s so much to do for kids and adults. Two and a half hours of childcare every day!?!? Thank you! It has everything you ever wanted and everything you didn’t know you wanted. I would give it ten stars if I could!

This place started off good (could have been better), but these last few months have gone downhill. I mean it has been absolutely awful. Different faces around (very high turnover), no one knows anything, broken equipment , and don't get me started about management. They (she) does not take your concerns seriously. Scared to leave my belongings in the locker room due to theft. Very recently our daughter does not want to go to child care anymore (she use to love it). Probably time for us to make a change. Paying too much to feel this yucky about a gym.

Considering the price to go to LifeTime it is saddening and concerning to see that none of that money in memberships goes towards safety/security of the facility. Non-members are somehow getting into the locker rooms and stealing not only belongings, but CARS? STILL? How many have to be taken before any accountability is taken by Lifetime?? To lie and gaslight people who this is happening to by saying it's "never happened before" is completely false. They not only do not care about the members but the employees safety as well. Do better Lifetime.

TLDR: this is not anything like Equinox, Thirdspace, or any other high brow gym at this price point. They have bad classes, awful customer service, and are completely oversubscribed.

I put down $650 to join this gym (1st month dues + initiation + an add on Pilates package) and I gave it a good shot but it was an awful experience.

1) The equipment on the floor is never available. This place is so oversubscribed and seemingly full all times of the day. There also only seem to be a few good instructors that always have waitlists for their classes (but I wouldn’t know because I couldn’t get into any of those classes).

2) On that note, the classes I COULD get into were awful. Good example: the 2 spin classes I took were the worst I’ve ever been to. We’re repeatedly told to stand out of the seat as we put down the resistance and go as fast as we can…. That’s a recipe to blow your knees out. There’s a way to make things tough without making them unsafe. I’ve been to many spin classes in many cities and I’ve never been told to turn DOWN resistance as you get out of the saddle - if you’re out of the saddle, it should be hard and your RPM should be low. Also, their lights that both flash AND spin are nauseating. Pick one: flashing OR spinning.

3) I went to pickleball “open play for all levels” and was told it’s actually only for intermediates and I should come back for their beginners class which is only held on Sunday. To clarify, I wasn’t expecting any instruction and it’s been a while since I’ve played but I did think one could give it a go, since it was an “open play - all levels” class. So, essentially, it’s not all levels and if you go to church on Sunday (or have any other block) you’re not getting into the pickleball cult here.

After that experience, I tried to get my first month dues back. Caroline was very helpful and told me I’m 2 days outside of the 7 day grace period window, but she would ask for her manager to see if there was any wiggle room.

Her manager came up and told me I could not, because THAT’S HOW CONTRACTS WORK… yes, I know how contracts work, actually! I also know how customer service works and how good gyms work. I’ve been a member at Equinox, Thirdspace, and other gyms in major cities internationally. They wipe the floor with this place. All I was asking was to get $220 back, not the full $650, and I think that considering how awful my experience was they probably should have been more open to at least discussing it (especially because they would have still gotten $450 out of me).

In summation, it’s good to know that only I have to uphold my end of the contract and that your classes can be awful and there’s no repercussions for you! Wish I would have read that part in the fine print.

It’s annoying to pay all this money to have key facilities closed. I workout here 5 mornings a week and rely on using the steam room afterwards for my body to recover. Except for the days the steam room is closed all morning during open hours for cleaning.

Please notify members when facilities are closed. My time is valuable and my morning at Lifetime literally sets the stage for the rest of my day. Please take that responsibility seriously and provide a top notch experience to ALL your paying members.

The gym is worth the high price when it’s being taken care of properly, but when the staff decides they don’t care about certain members’ experiences (Looking at you too neglected basketball court/equipment) it can give you pause when you see the autopay come out each month…

Lifetime’s stated mission is to help members live happier, healthier lives. Sadly, this location doesn’t live up to that goal for members with children. My daughter has become less healthy and less physically active since we left Villa Sport and became members at Lifetime. The Beaverton LT location was seemingly built and staffed with no consideration for the needs of families with kids over 5. The childcare is oriented towards preschoolers (so older kids loathe going), and the only pools that are deep enough to swim in are never staffed with lifeguards, which means that kids under 18 are not allowed to swim there- even when they are swimming laps and under the constant supervision of a parent. I really enjoy this gym for my own fitness routine, but stressing about my child’s health and worrying how she will stay physically active has now made me less happy and healthy. My humble suggestion to LT Beaverton is that they make it clear to prospective members that it’s simply not designed to accommodate families with kids between the ages of 5 and 18.

The reservations for classes are hard to make because the gym is VERY FULL. Most of time if you can’t make it during the first a couple hours once it’s open you’re on waiting list as 12,14! The worst part is, even you got reservation, your spot got took by someone else if you are one minute late. And the instructor says” I can have you if you’re willing to squeeze in”. What the heck! Isn’t the other person who took the spot supposed to be squeezed? Then why do I make reservations for?! Really bad experience. Not worth $269 monthly fees.

Do not join this gym. The Pickleball group is incredibly toxic. After the announcement that basketball courts would no longer be removed, the staff seemingly support members sending out unsolicited text messages to sign petitions to remove the basketball courts. Then they silence anyone who expresses any issues with these tactics. The Pickleball players feel entitled to all of the space offered in the gym and have issues whenever anyone disagrees.

Apart from this, the gym is constantly kept uncomfortably warm, and members routinely forget to wipe down the equipment after use.

Life Time is my '3rd place.' I've never been too keen on gyms, nor have I frequented a gym before. In the past I was the type to have gym membership that I paid for monthly but rarely visited. All that changed with Life Time. I am here religiously, it is a part of my weekly schedule 5 days a week and something I honestly look forward to. The facility is fantastic, there is something (many things) for anyone, but it's so much more than that. There is a community here. If you frequent the gym at the same times and days, you'll start to see familiar faces, and slowly it becomes that 3rd place. I've made new friends here, found new things I love, and well... I'm in the best shape of my life. The classes are fantastic, Stacey is the reason I go to Barre, Lauren, Austin & Billy for GTX, Hayley & Jay for Alpha, Margaret for Yoga... to name a few. Grateful for this place, the community within it and my amazing experience thus far.

Really disappointed. I called 2 months ago and was told - NO joining fee.
Today I took a tour and was told it’s 200$+ 269$ per month+ 40$ for each reformer Pilates class.

The entire first floor (dining and spa) is open to the public.Parking is a nightmare.
The most ridiculous is that members can bring an entire additional family as guests four times per month.

This policy was evident by the pools and recreation areas teeming with children.
Also, a family membership (2 adult and 2 children) is only 519$ per month, with the same 200$ joining fee. A couple is only 369$ per month, so 184$ per person.

This means that a single person is paying disproportionately more- to join and to use the club! They also provide free day care, not a benefit to me all- yet I’m expected to subsidize it.

I work way too hard for my money to subsidize families, their day care, kids club, and their numerous guests. I also almost got hit by one of their members in the parking lot- she proceeded to flip me off.

Been a member for a year now. I notice people often have an issue with the price being expensive. Personally I’d pay 2-3x the cost of 24hr or LA fitness just to have fewer crowds and more access to the equipment I want to use when I want to use it. Being able to use the cold plunge, the outdoor pools on a hot day, the normatec boots and all the other extra amenities that other gyms and even most other health clubs don’t have is just the icing on the cake.

Love this gym, but found out that they’re removing the only basketball court and replacing it with MORE indoor pickleball courts. Personally, I don’t play either sport, but my boyfriend who also attends this gym loves basketball and the court here. It would make much more sense to ADD outdoor pickleball courts, since they are already indoor ones. People who like pickleball enjoy playing outside in nice weather.

Pickleball is also a fad sport; the demand is going to go down over time. This decision is going to drive away many of the young, fit members. My boyfriend had basketball friends that were looking to sign up until they heard about this. Hope they reconsider.

EDIT: Funny how suddenly there is a flood of 5-star pickleball reviews within a 24-hour period when pickleball has barely been mentioned in reviews since opening. Really sad that Lifetime feels the need to fish for fake reviews rather than listening to their BIPOC members.

EDIT 2: Just spoke on the phone with someone and they let me know that (while no official decision has been made) the design team is working on an alternative to adding pickleball courts without altering the basketball court. This is encouraging to hear so I’ve changed my review from 1 to 3 stars for the time being. Once LifeTime has made a concrete decision and announcement, I’ll be happy to change my review to 5 stars.

EDIT 3: In the past few months, this gym has become insanely busy. Some days, there is not even a single available pool chair outside. People will leave their towels on chairs to “reserve them” and seemingly never come back. In the actual workout area, don’t even think about coming after normal working hours (3-6pm). Almost every standard machine/station is used back to back. People also have no etiquette, as a woman stood 5 feet from me, staring in silence during my whole workout and plopped down before I had a chance to wipe it down. It’s very clean here, but having to plan my day around the crowds is feeling like a waste of money.

Just signed up. So far we haven't been able to use the Normatec and hydromessage chairs because the operating hours tend to close early especially on weekends which is not optimal for the working person.
The Lifetime Lounge also has limited hours and is often closed. For $360 a month I do expect to see more things open and running. I also was a part of a Gym in AZ that had the EXACT same hydromessage chairs that allowed me to scan my QR membership on my phone for a one time use without having to find someone to let me use it. I am not sure why Lifetime has not set up the chairs to be able to operate with a simple scan.
As far as family events, classes and cleanliness. It is a great gym. If I could change one thing, it would be to extend the hours of the recovery area and lifetime lounge well into the night. Other than that I do enjoy this Gym. But My husband is ready to look at other gyms :/

I've been a member since the doors opened last June and while it's a major upgrade to 24 Hour fitness, it comes with a price premium that you come to expect with a premium club and amenities. The good stuff are the classes are nice, the locker room is well kept and the sauna, cold plunge and tub are nice, the gym space is ample and well thought out, and there's plenty of machines. I regularly enjoy my works outs here and that's why I continue to go here. The employees are always upbeat, excitable and welcome, and that's never a problem to me.

They do have recovery stuff that's free which is cool and some salon options which is convenient

I will say that as a previous member of other premium clubs, the place isn't as welcoming. Just feels a bit too sterile. The Cafe and the bar aren't really anything to be excited about, as they aren't really lounge type places like what other clubs have, but more of a stop for a smoothie or bar and go. Again, it's fine, but wish there was a full service restaurant or lounge in a separate part of the building that you can settle in at after you work out for a meal. But I typically just leave and go get food elsewhere if i'm not eating at home.

The pools are nice and were pretty busy last year, but this summer could be even busier with more members. They do a good job with ambiance and landscaping.

Speaking of busy. The gym has started to get more crowded as members join and I now feel I have to come at specific hours to feel comfortable in the space let alone find parking. I do wonder what mgmt does to balance more memberships and managing hospitality. I certainly feel a bit frustrated when it gets busy in the weight area and locker rooms as it reminds me of 24 hour fitness. and that was part of the reason I left. Sometimes getting to your locker in the layout in busy times means awkward situations waiting for people to dress while you're in a towel.

Another thing was the bball court to pickle ball not even a year after the place was built... Just left a source taste in my mouth that reduces diverse sporting options and caters to the current craze. Glad to hear they are figuring other things out and listening to their members.

The work spaces aren't as plentiful and there's no place to work without the noise of gym traffic, and they are usually full by mid morning, and to get quiet additional work spaces you have to pay ~$30/day to get access to their Life Time Work. So unless my power or internet is out at home, I won't plan on working or lounging here. It's a great place to workout, steam, tub, and shower, do the classes, but it's not the type of club where you can spend all day here like some of the others. For us, it's workable but certainly has room for improvement.

Edit. Changing to five stars. They now seem to send out alerts over the app when the pools are closed, can’t ask for more than that.

Overall, a positive experience, the issue I take is that the kids pool is so frequently closed because of a supposed chemical imbalance. Three weekends in a row now we showed up after the pain of getting our kids dressed and ready to swim only to find out that it’s closed yet again. Family swim also starts at 10 AM, do you realize that kids this age wake up at six.

For how expensive this gym is, it's hard to understand how rampant stealing is here. I left a plain Stanley quencher in the locker room overnight at closing (on accident), and it was stolen by the time I had come back only 2 hours after opening. This means that within 2 hours, someone had already stolen it! You could easily find this quencher at any store for $45, and some nasty dude really felt like they needed to steal my USED Quencher. They'll probably get about $20-30 for it if they resold it since it's an extremely common color so it's baffles me that people who are able to pay for this gym would really stoop down this low.

This review isn't so much about the gym itself but about the quality of the people who go to this gym. Hopefully, these lowlifes get caught and banned.

With a gym that is so expensive and exquisite in its presentation, they really know how to sweep the rug out from beneath their members. When we signed up for a membership, the basketball court was a huge draw (as it was with many members). Now, I understand needing to switch things up and adding other activities, but how can you get rid of the only basketball court for 3 more pickleball courts. I don't care about demand. If it's that popular, change your hours or figure out another way to adapt to the growth of pickleball.

One of the main reasons why the demand is so huge is because a max of four players can only play per net. And that's if it's doubles! Way more players can use a basketball court at the same time as three pickleball courts.

But I digress. It's frustrating for those of us who had used the basketball courts on a routine, but even more frustrating is the reasoning Lifetime is giving us and their focus on tournament play and the dollar signs in their eyes. It's ridiculous.

Pickleball is a nice sport and I'm glad people are loving it, but there needed to be a compromise somewhere and there just wasn't one they were willing to give. For how much the membership is $400-500+ for us a family, we will be looking into other gyms (Villa Sport, for example) as an alternative. While the others may not have the glam of Lifetime, all glitter eventually runs off and what you're left with is the activities and options, which Lifetime has significantly limited themselves to.

Absolutely love the gym and the equipment, the front desk is always friendly and welcoming. I'd love to do some work or reading in the cafe but feels like every-time I do, the cafe employees are screaming/yelling. Don't get me wrong, some of them are really pleasant and nice but the screaming is to the point it’s annoying. But overall I love the amenities and the Spa is amazing and so relaxing. *Updating my review*, the leadership team have decided to not take the courts away and let Basketball and Pickelball co-exist. This club is a premium facility with great service and it’s the best gym I’ve been to on the west coast. I’m glad management has changed their mind so I can reinstate my membership.

They are taking away the basketball court in this facility. It is regularly used by members, kids, and families. After talking with the GM, i was told that Lifetime values all members. It’s disappointing that Lifetime is not taking its current members (60 of us who play basketball regularly) and the kids camp (who uses the gym for recreational games) into consideration and is just looking to sell new memberships to pickleball fanatics to cash in on the pickleball craze. There is already pickleball courts in the facility and they are taking the only basketball court we have to build more.

I’ve made my original 5 star reviews 1 star and will be cancelling my membership (along with many others) if this is not addressed.

I’m going to be completely honest, this gym is expensive. I will say that given that, you do get what you pay for. Tons of luxury amenities from the beautiful hot tub, cold plunge, steam room and sauna in the women’s locker room. There are tons of pools and the indoor ones are awesome (I have not had a chance to use the outdoor pools since we joined in the wintertime). I really love the class offerings and I’m here 4-5 days per week. The studios are gorgeous, comparable to any boutique fitness studio and all of the instructors I have taken classes from are great! I’m a big fan of Alpha strength, as well at GTX, hot yoga, and barre. We also recently started playing pickleball and have really enjoyed that. Everyone I have met from the staff to other members are super nice and I have been very happy with my experience at Life Time. I love that I can just show up and workout because they have everything from yoga mats to pickleball paddles, plus towel service, nice hair dryers, and quality personal care products in the locker rooms.

Lifetime IS the place to be! Everything here is at your fingertips.
I’ve been a lifetime member for 15 years in MN. After relocating to Portland I desperately missed LTF. No other fitness facility in Portland was comparable to the greatness I had in MN.
AND NOW it has arrived in Beaverton!

It has been a gift in my life. It brings a piece of MN back to me and most importantly IS the place to meet all of your fun, fitness and PLAY needs! Group fitness, yoga, kids academy, bball courts, pickle ball, massage/salon/chiropractic services, work remote at Life Work, get your “lift on” or your “cardio on” venturing to the 3rd floor which hosts a splendid array of cardio machines, free weights, barbells, machines and many squat racks. TRX, Bosu balls and any play/fitness item your mind can imagine…it’s all here. The outdoor pools are fantastic, hosting slides and family area pool in addition to a fresh water hot tub and adult only lap pool. Inside you’ll find two lap pools-family and adults, followed by a shallow pool for the littles.
The rejuvenation suites in locker rooms host a sauna, whirlpool, cold plunge pool and steam room. Showers fully stocked with all needs you may have- blow dryers, shampoo, conditioner, razors, quips, makeup remover, shaving cream, cotton balls, deodorant and lotion. Free towel and locker service=beautiful! A perfect place for all. Community and staff are remarkable. Highly recommend joining/visiting Lifetime.

I can't say enough about the exceptional experience my family and I have had at Lifetime Beaverton. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the warm and welcoming staff who make you feel like part of the family. The swim team coaches are absolutely fantastic, providing top-notch guidance and support to swimmers of all levels. Compared to other gyms we've tried, the swim programs here are in a league of their own.

The variety of classes and programs offered is truly impressive. Whether you're into BARE classes, pickleball, or yoga, there's something for everyone. And let's not forget the fun events like Salsa night and Karaoke that add an extra element of enjoyment to the experience.

The spa services are simply divine and well worth the cost. Summer pool parties are a blast for the whole family, and the dry HydroMassage chair and Normatec Compression sessions are perfect for post-workout recovery.

Despite being a gym, Lifetime Beaverton feels more like a social healthy club. There's a real sense of community here that you just don't find elsewhere.

Regarding the recent decision to add more pickleball courts and eliminate the basketball one, I believe some of the 1-star reviews are unjustified. While I understand the frustration, it's important to recognize that this facility offers so much more than just one activity. It's unfair to dismiss all the amazing amenities and experiences because of one change.

In my opinion, Lifetime Beaverton offers exceptional value for everything it provides. It's not just a gym; it's a place where you can truly thrive physically, mentally, and socially. Highly recommended!

I was very disappointed to hear that lifetime might be removing the basketball courts. They are small as is and provide a crucial space for kids age 12 and up as there is really no other place for them to enjoy (especially in the winter.) I’m not sure why the giant area on the third floor between the gym and the workspace was filled with rocks instead of utilized for a pickle ball space.
If the basketball court is removed we (along with many other families) will be leaving this gym.

The staff was always friendly but a few months into my membership the value of what lifetime offered just wasn’t practical.

I love to lift, and only use those facilities and equipment, and when you break it down it doesn’t make sense unless they provided some type of tiered membership where I can use only the weightlifting equipment.

Paying $290 a month for a gym membership that only dedicates 20% to 30% of the total floor space to actual weightlifting equipment makes zero sense. I’d understand if I used all of the provided services but I don’t.

It’s more of a social club, and also the first time I’ve seen people napping on couches located throughout the second floor of the building.

If they offered tiered pricing I’d consider coming back but at $290 a month just build your own gym or sign up at Villasport if you’re looking for something comparable but at half the price. If you want to add a second person it’s still cheaper at $220 a month vs what I listed above.

Overall my family has thoroughly enjoyed the amenities of Lifetime, but the recent news of removing the basketball courts has been a devastating blow to this basketball court using family. I have exchanged emails with the GM asking for consideration to reverse this decision. The lack of customer service for the basketball users or ANY consideration for a multi-use court is disgraceful.

To call this facility an athletic club without a basketball court is nothing short of an embarrassment. Fully understanding the need to meet the needs of a growing pickleball community, to turn your backs on the basketball community, eliminating it entirely is unacceptable for any respectable athletic club. The GM has been responding to emails on this topic with condescending, insulting responses, and I’m sure I will receive the same. Shame on you.

This is the best gym I have ever been to, my wife and I live very close so joining was not really in question. We have often said we could be members here for the rest of our lives. We have a 4 & 5 year old that love the kids programming, they like the dodgeball, tumbling, arts & crafts and we especially love the 2.5 hours of kids club every day and the 3 hour parents night out. My wife and I are frequent users of the pool in summer, pickleball as often as we can get on a court, Alpha strength programming, Yoga, Barre and we use the cold/hot tubs almost every visit. The facility is amazing, the services are second to none but more importantly the people and community are what have actually changed our lives. The amount of new friends we have made is unprecedented in addition to the casual hang outs with other parents from neighborhood and elementary school. Jared and his team have made this place a home for us, for now and the future. Shout outs!! Brody in pickleball, Chase in concierge, Lorena and Nicole in Kids Academy, Jesse, Hayley, Zach, Dean, Maria, Christine in Fitness, Natalie and Matt in cafe. Lifetime has been a wonderful addition to the community. The club is brand new, the equipment is always in working order, and the facilities are very clean. They offer a variety of classes in every exercise type imaginable, and the staff couldn't be more accommodating and helpful.

Pickleball is a primary draw for the Beaverton location. Of the more than 200 Lifetime clubs across the country, Beaverton is #2 nationally in terms of the total number of different club members playing on a monthly basis - despite the club having just three courts. While I personally enjoy playing basketball at the club, the decision to remove basketball in favor of three additional pickleball courts is sensible from a business standpoint.

The demand for pickleball far outweighs the demand for basketball, and there is simply not enough court availability in the current configuration to accommodate the demand. As others have noted, court reservations and open plays often fill up mere SECONDS after the registration window opens.. That's not sustainable. The addition of three courts will allow more members to play and allow the club to offer more instructional sessions.

I would encourage those upset about the decision to give pickleball a try. The club offers free "intro to pickleball" sessions for members, and the instructors are phenomenal.

Joined the gym because my wife and I were collecting gyms (Orange Theory, Pilates, Burn Boot Camp, 24 Hour, etc) and realized this one had it all plus Pickleball.

After a bit, it was clear that Pickleball was always booked solid, with tons of people getting interested and it became tough to get in to play. Much appreciation to the management for listening to feedback, running some analytics on use, and deciding to expand the pickleball to add more courts. I feel bad for the loss of the Basketball courts and hope they can do some kind of expansion in the future to bring that back, but I agree with the decision. I've been over there at all hours, and the pickleball courts are full from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm every day of the week, while the basketball courts are much less commonly full.

Can't end the review without applauding the fact that they've got ice bath, wet and dry sauna, hot tub in the locker rooms. I invited a friend as a guest and he calls it the Taj Mahal of gyms.

Was offered to try 4 free swim lessons as a trial for my daughter. The class was much worse than other swim classes we have tried although they do have really nice facilities. Ultimately it was not for us so we did not finish the free trial. They automatically charged me $95 and when my husband called to explain that we have not even finished the 4 free classes they asked if he had talked to anyone about it. No one had talked to him about signing up or discussed anything, the free trial month was during the storm and we didn’t have electricity for 1.5 weeks not only that but the last class was also cancelled due to the storm. The person over the phone said they would refund him for EVERYTHING and cancel I got a cancellation message saying we would be charged $25 for a class we didn’t go to. We pay over $400 a month In membership fees and this is making me want to cancel. I don’t understand why they think this type of scammy and predatory behavior is ok. The swimming class was incredibly unprofessional and there were no other participants. They are desperate for $25 but charge the fees they charge? It’s embarrassing and disgusting. Also want to mention that when my husband tried to explain this to whoever he spoke to in the swim department she spoke to him in an angry tone with a nasty attitude and my husband was communicating in a very nice and calm manner. I have used the spa services, the gym, the daycare and all of their facilities and have come across nothing but kind and helpful employees. I wasn't going to write anything about it, but after hearing more news and information about the upcoming changes, I felt hard pressed not to. With my few months at Lifetime, I've enjoyed the basketball courts to work out. Since I've joined and played pick-up or shot around, I've reached goals of losing weight and building my cardio. I enjoyed the basketball community as well as the space to see the different adjustable hoops for kids to learn and play since there aren't many basketball options in the area that are outdoors (especially winter) or open like this for me to really give my kids time to learn in a non-rushed environment.

Then I learned that all the basketball courts were going to be replaced by pickleball courts. I read on threads how this has been happening across the country as a way to get partnered with Pickleball leagues. At first, I understood this may be a business move, then I sat on it and heard from a local or regional manager how the move "may lose 50 members, but has the ability to gain hundreds of new ones" off of 3 new courts, when there are outdoor parking lot of parking structure options that can be looked into replacing. That statement that was in an email screenshotted to us rubs me the wrong way, and feels disrespectful for the members that were already playing here and paying all this time.

So I write this review to say not only is the membership pricey to begin with, that by adding 3 more pickle ball courts and ignoring members who enjoy the basketball space, it feels like there are targeted members... those who are able to afford a high membership price and the time slots throughout the day to play. A business move is a business move, and by seeing their responses to their recent reviews, it's all PR and management. With a new pickleball facility opening up down the block, I can happily tell my friends I would not recommended Lifetime Fitness as a place to go. Much love to the staff there who wash the towels and bathrooms and keep the facility up the way it is, it's unfortunate of this corporate decision that could have been thought of before versus changing it this way.

The removal of the basketball courts has been a major blow to the overall appeal of the gym. For many of us, playing basketball was a crucial part of our fitness routine and a significant reason for choosing Lifetime. The decision to eliminate this amenity in order to create more space for pickleball players is both perplexing and frustrating. Furthermore, the security at the gym appears to be severely lacking, as there have been multiple reports of stolen cars from the parking lot. This not only raises concerns about the safety of members but also reflects poorly on the management's ability to ensure a secure environment.
The ongoing issues with the pool and cold plunge are also deeply disappointing. The pool has been out of service for an extended period, depriving members of a key component of their aquatic workouts. Additionally, the cold plunge has been consistently out of service for weeks, undermining the promised variety of amenities that initially attracted many of us to Lifetime Gym.
What exacerbates these problems is the apparent lack of communication from the management regarding these issues. Members are left in the dark, with no updates or timelines for when these facilities will be restored. This lack of transparency is both frustrating and disrespectful to the paying members who expect a certain standard of service.

This facility is amazing! I’ve been a fitness professional for about 10 years now and this gym is easily the most well equipped & thoughtfully laid out in all of Oregon. No joke. I’ve been to every notable facility in Portland major (including the MAC) and nothing compares. The variety in machines/amount of platforms/volume of weight options/cardio machines (top notch brands btw) and more. It makes me sad it opened once I moved away no joke! I’ve convinced roughly 6 of my PDX clients to join w/o any incentive if that helps you gauge how impressive it is. One of my clients has been a member since opening day and of course the gym has gotten WAY more filled and busy, but it still has so much space you can find alternatives if you go at a peak time. If not, I suggest you hire one of their PT team for guidance :)

The facility in general has so many fabulous amenities. Yes some of them like the spa services are extra - but thats because they’re specialty services. Someone below was complaining about the pricing structure- I hear you sis but also you need to know how much goes into the background of operating and maintaining a massive too notch facility like this. The equipment in the gym alone would run at LEAST 600k? Possibly more…and then you have to maintain it all. And add in huge pools, sauna (saunas break a lot), cold plunges, janitorial for all that square footage, cafe, lounge areas, classes, and more and $270 a month is absolutely worth it. If you only want the gym and locker rooms I’d suggest the 24 hr fitness Tanasbourne. If you want access to a CLUB then you pay for a CLUB. There is no reasonable way to keep track of members who “only pay for gym/locker rooms” so thats kind of silly…again I’m speaking from purely a decade of gyms I was a member/employee for both LA Fitness and member at 24 & Anytime Fitness AND private training gyms I ran my business from so I bothered reviewing this because I saw so many liked the below review and I think its worth clearing up the understanding of what goes into a clubs “fee”.

Anyways, I also included a video from when I visited with a client who was a member. Can’t say enough good things about the staff as well, especially Jarod! Cheers!

Every time I walk into Life Time I'm immediately transported to what feels like Nordic country club. :) All the folks at the front desk are ALWAYS so pleasant, especially Kim!
I'll list out a few highlights:
The entire facility is pristine
Classes are great
Equipment is always working properly
The app is easy to use
Always smells lovely
Cafe/Smoothy bar is delicious
Spa area is beautiful and Sauna/Steam Room are amazing
etc.etc.
I've never been so impressed with a gym! I was a member of Equinox a few years ago among others and Life Time takes the cake!

I recently joined Lifetime and absolutely love it! It’s a beautiful facility and everyone has been very welcoming and kind. I’ve had no issues with the swim center for my little one and the front desk has always been so helpful. The gym is always super clean and fresh which is really nice :) Thank you LifeTime!!

Amazing gym. We are members in NJ and visited this club while on vacation. They were gracious enough to let us workout and take a class.

I’m not a member but I visit the spa for massage appointments with Rachel C. She’s an incredibly skilled and effective therapist and compared to the dozens of other therapists I’ve seen, she’s at the very top! She does deep tissue and is great at finding the trouble spots and loosening everything up. Most of my family members see Rachel and we all think she’s fantastic.

Lifetime is worth the price. Yes it costs more than other clubs but you get what you pay for. It is very clean and is very family friendly. My 6 year old enjoys the classes for kids and my husband and I enjoy taking classes together (our favorites are Upper RX and Gluteus Maxout with Kimberley) and taking advantage of parents night out. I also recommend the spa services. As a former member of Villa Sport, Lifetime is so much better.

The Aquatics Dept is extremely disorganized with very poor communication and their policies are as transparent as milk. Our children missed a class because they were sick and we wanted to respect the other children in the group. There is no make up for missing one class. Instead you have to miss at least 1 of 4 classes a month for a minimum of 4 months in order to earn enough "vouchers" to earn one make-up lesson.... Read that again. When we cancelled lessons because of this ridiculous policy they charged us $95 for the month even though we have not and will not be using any of those 4 lessons. So disappointing as we would have kept our kids in these classes for many months to come.

Lifetime Beaverton is exceptional in every regard. The staff are friendly, hardworking, and helpful, and the facilities are very clean/well-maintained. The value the membership has added to our lives is immeasurable. My partner and I love attending all the fabulous classes and they even have a variety of awesome classes for kids! Our kids have so much fun they beg us to go. They take swim lessons, too, and our oldest is having a blast on the swim team.
Overall, the club has led us to a healthier lifestyle (mentally and physically) and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to join.

Signed up for a tour as a family and arrived late (yes, our fault, but we have two kids under 6 and it can happen here and there). Lady at the front desk was very rude about it in front of other members. I asked if we could check out the kids area ourselves and received another rude response. Not a big deal, I understand it’s a potential liability but not the way to treat a family willing to pay over $500/mo for membership.

I love this gym but I hate that there's nothing for 13-14 year olds. Lifetime charges the price for an adult membership but they're too young to do anything alone and to old to go to "kids club"... Which forces you to kinda tote around your teenager while you're attempting to get a work out. Not the end of the world, just wish they would either recognize the issue and add more classes/things to do or lower the price for them since they can't have the full "adult" experience.

I joined Life Time a few weeks ago, and have a few critiques that they could improve. I'd really give it 4.2/5.

1. There is no designated stretching area.
They have yoga mats hanging, but it very much feels like you're awkwardly stretching in the middle of the walkway in the main room. They should add a large floor mat or even rope off the area for stretching.

2. The spa room in the bathrooms are harshly bright.
It feels more like a hospital than a lounge... ideally this would be a dark and relaxing space. Also having lounge chairs to relax would be great.

3. No indoor kids pool play area.
We used to be members at VillaSports, and they had a nice indoor kids pool area (sadly it was almost always broken).

Overall, the place is very clean and new, it has plenty of high end equipment, AMAZING child care hours, and a nice outdoor pool, friendly staff, great classes, and a nice cafe, bar, and working area... It has corporate hotel vibes in the design, is a bit pricey, but the pros outweigh the cons.

Wanted to recognize Kim for giving my husband and I a fabulous, in depth tour when we first came by. She was so warm and bubbly and we knew immediately we had found the right gym for us, and are so glad we signed up. We haven't missed a single day in the gym and have been making amazing progress. We cannot speak more highly of the facility and the staff, and appreciate the attentiveness and attention to detail.

I also want to give a shoutout to Stephanie who was so willing and excited to answer any questions we had. Also very pleasant to chat with. Can't wait to go back!

Updated review as of 6/9:

The first week of being a Lifetime Fitness member has been life changing to say the least! I start my days by being warmly greeted at the front desk by the lovely concierge staff and drop of my belongings inside the beautiful locker room, no need to bring a lock or a bulky towel! Once I'm upstairs I have a variety of options to start my day with I usually go with either an Alpha class, which will push your limits and have you doing more than you think you can, or Yoga which will also challenge you in a more relaxing way. I want to specially shoutout Hayley and Sonja who have been immensely kind and encouraging every time I see them. The classes Lifetime offers makes the membership so worth it, I even got the courage to try some new things this week! Intro to pickle ball taught by Brody had me laughing and learning the whole time and the way he took the time to give detailed coaching throughout the session left me very impressed, but the most fun I have ever had in the gym was Dance Jam with Robert! He is the most animated, fun person I have every seen and you will 100% be walking out with a smile on your face. After your workout(and a shower) I highly recommend a hydro massage which is included in the Premier membership, this experience left me feeling rejuvenated and Emily who taught me how to use the machine was such a pleasure to interact with. Another way to relax in the facility are the amazing amenities in the locker rooms which feature a hot tub, steam room, sauna even even a cold plunge!

I also got to experience the spa which is to die for! I can typically have a hard time describing what I want, but Jayson listened to me and almost read my mind. I have never seen my hair look as good as the day I got my hair done with him. Not to mention his conversation and customer service were incredible. As well as Aimee from the front desk, such a doll! They also have samples of the products for you to try which is the cherry on top.

In conclusion:

If you value your health and want to be around others that feel the same you should be a part of the community here. I've met some awesome people and nearly everyone has a smile on their face when leaving the building. When interacting with the staff I feel seen and valued which will definitely keep me coming back for the foreseeable future. Thank you Lifetime Staff!

Great facilities. Fun/talented staff. Diverse set of classes/activities/machines. The staff are friendly and engaging. I like all of the instructors that I've taken classes with. So far I'm really liking the community vibe here. Super laid back and not a lot of pressure to look/be fit. I've met a lot of interesting people already. Thus far, I'm digging the experience!

Love this place! My only critique is that the bathroom stalls should have seat covers, especially when members are paying $200+ for memberships. I think it’s a really basic amenity that most public restrooms have already.

I want to love this club I really do but it’s just not functional for parents with small children.
I will say the club itself is beautiful and I love all the amenities for adults but when it comes to functionality as a family this is not the place to go unless your kids are older.
The daycare does not change diapers or assist toddlers in the restroom.
I have an almost 1yr old and a 3yr old, my 3yr old is potty trained but the toilet was too tall for her to get on to herself. For such an upscale club I don’t think it’s realistic to call parents to come change a diaper or assist their child in the restroom when the whole point of drop off care is to have a relaxing time to enjoy the facility without wondering when the next call to assist your child will be. Daycare hours also are not great but I will say the daycare staff and activities are amazing.
Another big issue is the family locker rooms only having 1 restroom and one small shelf with towels.
I was advised there are more restrooms across from the family locker rooms but there are only 2 individual stalls.
So for a club that’s 175k sq ft they thought 3 bathrooms for all those families would be enough? That was very poor designing.
The two advertised mushroom water features for children were not actually added to the pools and the outdoor slide hight requirements is 48in Again not ideal for parents with small children.
Also the big push to sign up as a founding member for beach club access is a joke. They made it seem like there was a private area for an additional cost but anyone can use the outdoor pools and all outdoor is considered beach club. Upper management needs to really re think the rules and plans to make this a more family friendly club because it does not compete with other athletic clubs in the area.

Life Time has done an excellent job creating a very upscale feeling gym. It certainly does give off the vibe of a country club, and it looks and feels much more upscale than any other gyms in the area besides maybe MAC.

This Life Time facility is three stories tall, and on the third floor lives all the weight equipment, cardio, and recovery gear (hydromassage, theragun, Normatech leg stuff, foam rollers, etc). The equipment is all new and top of the line, which is a nice change from the usual work out stuff I have found in other gyms around the area. The cable machines have QR codes to help understand the workout and targeted body areas, some of the cable machines even have video monitors that offer a guided workout and live breakdown of performance. The treadmills have huge video screens that offer interactive guided run types and information display (very fancy), there's enough cardio machines that there should never be a wait to use a certain type machine even at peak times. Finally a gym that understands that people want to lift weights! There's lots of power racks, smith machines, and free weights, even advanced weight lifters should find exactly what they are looking for!

The second floor has a plethora of exercise class rooms with instructed classes included with membership costs (Pilates are the only class with additional fee from what I am told). There’s a nice indoor basketball and pickleball court on the second floor with signup sheets for pickup. The second floor also houses the child care facility, which looked very nice. It was refreshing to see a variety of physical activities available for the kids instead of just a bunch of TVs to babysit them.

The first floor is where you will find the café, lounge, locker rooms, spa, and pools. There’s three indoor and three outdoor pools to keep all the swimmers happy, and thankfully there’s an adults only outdoor pool as well. The outdoor pool with water slides will be very popular in the few warm months we have here in Oregon, they look pretty fun even as an adult.

The locker rooms are really nicely done, with abundant lockers (built in combo locks, no need to bring your own) nice showers, and complimentary hygiene products included. There’s a sauna, steam room, hot spa pool, and cold plunge pool included in both the men’s and women’s locker room. For those with families, there’s also a large dedicated family locker room.

My interactions with the facilities staff, personal trainers, and front end concierge staff have all been very positive so far. Very friendly people that immediately remembered me and made it a point to come over and say hello again and check to see how I was doing. Very impressive, as gym staff are notorious for being a little… disengaged.

At the end of the day, this gym is really expensive at $269 a month/$3228 a year for a single person and goes up from there with additional members on the plan. While this isn’t as expensive as something like the MAC in the Portland area, it’s also way more expensive than the run of the mill options like 24/Crunch/PF/YMCA/LA Fitness etc. Is it worth the high cost? Only you can decide, but if you are a frequent gym goer and want to take a bunch of the instructed classes the cost quickly becomes easily justified. An Orange Theory premier plan is $179 a month for three classes a week and doesn’t include anywhere close to the same level of amenities, access, or hours of operation. Barry’s PDX charges $249 a month for 30 classes and once again doesn’t have competitive amenities, hours, or space.

At the end of the day, Life Time offers a full service luxury gym experience with a wide variety of equipment, amenities, and instructed classes that is reflected in the membership cost. I’m personally very excited to be a member here!

So excited Lifetime Fitness is now in Oregon! I had a membership while living in Arizona and they are by far the premier Health and Fitness club in the U.S. From state of the art equipment, to top notch instructors for the classes. Great heathy food choices in their cafe and a phenomenal outdoor pool!
