Such a welcoming environment, the coaches here are very educated on various methods of fitness and nutrition, if you are looking for a good well rounded coach then Aron and Tim are your guys! These are coaches who care about the whole function of your body and want to teach you proper technique, highly recommend.

The coaching at Mahoney Crossfit is awesome. They really focus on making sure the movements are being done correctly and adjusting the movements and weights to each client's abilities. Having been to many crossfit establishments, the coaching at Mahoneys is excellent. They have a friendly, supportive, family atmosphere and are very welcoming to new members as well as drop-ins. I strongly recommend them to anyone interested in Crossfit, whether they are just beginning in fitness or they are experienced athletes.

Tim doesn't just run a CrossFit training facility, he runs a health and wellness business within. Tim has one of the best coaching teams I've seen. When you walk into Mahoney's Crossfit, you will start with an individualized plan to meet your specific goals including nutrition analysis and movement science. You cannot find these services at any other gym. Tim and his team have made a huge difference in my life, ability and demeanor.

I have been at Mahoney Crossfit for about 6 months now and my husband also just recently joined.We couldn't be happier with our decision to join the MCF family! They take the time to teach you how to perform the movements before putting you in classes, which was so helpful and a major reason I chose MCF over other boxes in the area. Tim, Aron, Wyatt, Justin, Heath, and Tiffany are always very helpful and go out of their way to address any concerns or weaknesses you have.

I've been going here for a few months, and absolutely love it. I have always dreaded going to the gym and rarely made any progress because I would find every excuse in the book to avoid going. This is different. This is the most positive, fun, supportive experience I have ever had in fitness.
Tim and his coaches make sure that you feel confident in what you are doing, and that you have good form and understanding of each exercise before letting you move forward on your own. It is very evident that this is a family-like team; you are not just another number or monthly membership here, you are part of the MCF Team.

Mahoney CrossFit is a mid-sized box that feels like a close family. Of course there is always plenty of intensity and drive to go harder/faster/heavier, but the coaches at Mahoney's focus most on creating a culture where doing the movements correctly and safely is priority number one. There is a lot of emphasis on building up a good skill base to work from.

Before I started CrossFit, I was very active and fit. The issue was that as my physical abilities increased, I found myself getting hurt more often. CrossFit and the close attention each client gets from the coaches at Mahoney's has helped me to build a healthier, better balanced body. You won't build huge bulging muscles, and I won't guarantee you'll get a six pac. What you WILL get is the most functional, fit body you've ever had.

It's been a mix of lazy, unaccountability, 4 knee surgeries with no meniscus, to severe depression prior to coming to Mahoney CrossFit. Doctors had me try everything on the market for the depression and all phases of PT for the leg but i plateaud. I with outside stressors had fallen into a dark bad place mentally but after one visit with coach Tim, Melanie and the rest of the clan I felt like I was at home! I wondered, was it just because it was the initial visit? Would the cohesive family feeling, the upbeat feeling and atmosphere, continue? I can say it did and it only got better and stronger with each visit :-)
I had issues with sleeping and that was improving drastically. I continue to be amazed with each visit, with each WOD. No matter your skill level, how in shape you are they are always there to cheer, push you on through and to your potential. They take a lot of pride in each and everyone of us! Mahoney Crossfit's clan/crew are extremely concious of any injuries you may have, and Taylor fit or scale down a WOD so you can alleviate those injuries and strengthen those weaknesses so to speak.
My kids and friends are noticing a big change not only physically, but also mentally within me. I am noticing those changes myself and to me that is worth anything!! I was not doing good, but I feel a lot better and I can look myself in the mirror again and feel good and feel like I belong again :-)
When this clan comes together, nothing can stop us/them. This is a true family who cares about one another and that all started with Coach Tim, and Melanie
I do realize that a lot comes from within one's self, but I do not now where I would be with out this family, this clan, the Mahoney's and their coaches. It's nice to feel so welcome and get checked on when you don't make it in. That's true family, true love.

I signed up for Mahoney CrossFit after having a thirty (30) minute one on one conversation with Tim in which he described the curriculum and philosophy of CrossFit. I knew from the enthusiasm and knowledge that Tim displayed in that short talk that this was exactly what I needed to excel to the next level in my pursuit of mountaineering. I had worked out at other gyms but had plateaued and needed a new plan since I had a scheduled climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro in five months.

CrossFit turned out to be exactly what Tim had described. I took myself to a new physical and mental preparedness that I am certain made it possible that I summited Mt Kilimanjaro. Albeit very challenging, CrossFit is most importantly a result achieving course. Those who can get past the initial physical and mental shock of the regimen are bound to achieve new levels of physical fitness. The course is also very competitive and with its competitiveness becomes fun and adds to the fulfillment of CrossFit which sets it apart from the mundane gym routines that so many are caught up in.

On a personal note, I want to mention how much I appreciate the time spent by Tim, Melanie and Wyatt with teaching Crossfit. All three have been very helpful and supportive of all the CrossFit clients. Tim took more time out of his day to start a class to begin at 4:30 to fit within my work schedule. Often times I would be the only student at this class.

I would highly recommend that you consider Mahoney Crossfit as a your next step in achieving your fitness goals.

I have been with Mahoney Crossfit almost from the beginning about 2-1/2 years ago, and I can tell you that the owners, Tim and Melanie Mahoney, have always been incredibly supportive of me in my fitness goals. In addition, they instill the same sense of support in all their coaches. They understand that every client is different, with different goals, limitations, and motivations. They have a very holistic view of fitness, and they are able to advise on nutrition, stretching and mobility exercises in addition to crossfit. In addition, they have made yoga and some alternative therapies (i.e., acupuncture) available to members by working with others in the community. For me personally, someone with chronic shoulder issues, they have been amazing, partnering with me and my physical therapist to help me maintain my fitness and succeed in my rehabilitation. These people really care. You can't go wrong with them, whether you are super competitive or just want to get in shape.
