I recently did a class at Me Fitness and had an exceptional experience. The person at the front desk, Chris, was efficient and kind making the sign up experience seamless. I took a Booty Luv class with Heather Craig - her energy is contagious and her class felt very authentic, it was really fun! Would recommend.

I absolutely love Me Fitness. The environment is friendly, inclusive, and welcoming to everyone, no matter your fitness level. The class instructors are not only incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, but they also bring a sense of community that makes you feel like part of the family. It’s more than just a gym. It’s a place where you feel seen, encouraged, and motivated every time you walk through the door.

I actually enjoyed having access to this gym while I was using it. It's not fancy, there's no sauna or anything, and to access classes you need to pay three times as much. It's a very clean 24 hour gym with lots of equipment. As one does, life got the best of me and I missed a month of using it. I tried to cancel my membership before the holidays and before the billing day to save some money and found out they have a two week cancellation policy. So fair warning to folks, their business model runs on people forgetting they have a gym membership. It's really not necessary to do that to folks and I feel the only reason that exists is because a business can't make money from offering services people want so they need to take advantage of people forgetting things. Hope you find a different model and shame on me for not reading the fine print.

Update to response: they do not have a cancel at anytime policy as per my messages with their reception.

I love Me Fitness!! I've been a member for 8 years and it's the best! They attract a variety of users, and everyone is super friendly. Instructions and trainers are excellent and knowledgeable. Staff is fantastic and friendly. Work-out areas are clean and well equipped. I love all the natural light and high ceilings. Perfect variety of equipment and class schedule and size. So happy I joined. Not only do I stay fit but it’s a fun little community!

Love Me Fitness! I have been a member off and on for about 10 years and late in 2022 decided to commit to a regular exercise plan. Since rejoining back in 2022, I have had the most incredible experiences with the team and all the great upgrades they have been making. I am fortunate to be able to work out with Heather Sang, a trainer there, and she is fantastic! Most gyms have made me feel uncomfortable and I have gotten discouraged and not been consistent, but that is not an issue at Me Fitness. It's a great environment and I can't recommend it enough!

I love coming here. It's not too crowded, they just added 2 new squat racks, and it's open 24/7. I just wish they had 2 more wipes stations so we wouldn't have to go across the floor or to the other side of the building to clean up when we finish a set.

I love this gym. Great instructors. Nice facility with lots of light--feels good! My strength and mobility have grown significantly since I joined 2 months ago. Could not have done it without the support of this place. I got Kaiser to cover part of dues, made it do-able. I was using another gym in the neighborhood for 20 years--this one wins by far. Appreciate the equitable approach and how this place is managed too--its felt throughout the facility--no small thing:))---tots recommend.

Been going to this gym for a couple of years now, it's always been great. 24/7 access is so convenient, and it's quite spacious with lots of equipment. There might be a slight wait for machines during peak hours but there's enough variety that I'm always able to move to a different exercise while I wait!

I loved how close this gym was to my house and how dead it always was during the hours I wanted to go. But haven’t been there in years because one, they didn’t have a good variety of equipment, and two very stuck up women either own/owned, or were running the place. The trainers were sweet, but management very snotty.

I love the environment and facilities. Has all the space and equipment I need. Giving two stars because I really dislike everything they play in the tv. Either bad nutrition advice, or hyper-sexual music videos and it gets old and does not aid having a good workout. I personally keep my head down and do my work but if either of those things would trigger you don’t go here!

I made an appointment to join the gym last year a week before the Memorial Day holiday. Because I live within an 8 minute walk, and the gym is woman owned, I was really excited about joining. Because I have a irregular schedule, I liked that the gym is 24 hours. I skipped out on my plans for the weekend, so I could get the orientation and tour. When I got there at 3:00 in the afternoon at the scheduled appointment time, the person I was supped to meet was not there. No phone call, text or email to cancel, or let me know. and I'm certain this was an honest mistake. However, my time is valuable, and this was my introduction to the business, so I decided to go elsewhere.

I’ve only been going for about a week now but I couldn’t be happier! The workers are very friendly and they have all sorts of things you would need. From equipment to classes they have everything that I was looking for. If you want a friendly neighborhood vibe type of gym- this is definitely for you. If you are looking for things like a pool, sauna, etc. you won’t find that here. But either way I’m very happy with the amenities and find it well worth the price. Feel free to come by and check it out! The staff is lovely ❤️

I joined ME Fitness a few months ago because I was looking to add more weight training into my exercise routine, preferably in a class setting. I wish I had joined sooner! I love the variety of classes, from yoga and pilates to strength and cardio bootcamps, and even step classes that are the best workouts! The instructors are amazing, their teaching styles and abilities, and each doing it a little differently to add variety, make the classes that much more enjoyable and effective. They maintain smaller class sizes, no more than 14, so you get plenty of personal instruction, and not in an overcramped space. There are also plenty of cardio machines, as well as weight machines, if that’s your jam. Attending a class at ME fitness is the highlight of my day!

I really enjoy this gym. I typically don't have to wait for equipment and if something is in use, there are enough other stations that I can switch things up. You can tell that it is being looked after, as you'll notice things change, equipment gets added/removed, and the overall environment they foster is very friendly. If you are into golf, there is TPI certified instructor onsite (Scott Light). Get your golf game on track and get a great workout in all at the same place. (Member for over a year now).

Great gym overall. 24 hour access is a lovely addition. Great space and different areas. Large variety of equipment: lots of cardio machines, 6 squat racks, 1 smith bar, and a variety of benches and dumbbells of course. Other room has kettlebells and pull up bars and equipment that’s great for making a good full body circuit. I really like the age range here; where you see people of all ages working out and it’s not just people super intense as well. Everyone is nice

Best gym I have been to. They have everything I've ever wanted at a gym, minus a glute/ham raise machine. The staff are friendly, the patrons are clean and tidy, and it is a very female safe weight room - I see more women deadlifting and squatting than men, in fact. Great stairclimber machines, really well thought out equipment for functional weight training, and my favorite: no televisions or music (well, some music, but it is easy to ignore with earbuds).

I went in fully intending to start a membership, but was hoping for some information and a quick tour beforehand. Apparently that's not possible unless you open up an account online, first, which is just odd. I'm looking for a gym not a data gathering service. Personally for me it's one star, but it looked genuinely nice (from what I could see) and three seemed fairer.

While the prices are reasonable, I find the class and membership cancellation fees crazy. If I’m waitlisted for a 6am class and someone cancels at 1am and I get in, I need to either check my email in the middle of the night to change plans OR pay $10 for “no show”?! Unreasonable. And to charge a cancellation fee AND require a month’s notice when someone wants out of their month-to-month, non-contractual membership… It should be one or the other.

The classes are more geared to new gym goers, senior citizen types. Aside from Ashley’s bootcamp, everything is very low impact, slow, and not very challenging. Not to mention the classes end up being about 30 mins of work after all the intros and instructions.

As far as facilities, it’s nice. Decent amenities. If you’re wanting a clean gym with sufficient equipment and to take the occasional class, this gym is great.

I was in town for a week and decided to do a week membership. The staff were friendly and informative but most importantly made me feel comfortable. The gym offers classes, personal trainers and multiple cardio/weight machines as well as free weights and kettle bells. I did not use them but I did see that there are showers available too in case you need that. The gym is open 24 hours if you have an entry key however the listed hours are for when the front desk is staffed. Thanks again for the great experience!

I have been a member here for 4 years now and I continue to be so happy about it! The classes and teachers are excellent. I feel like I have learned so much about proper form and different types of exercise. There always seems to be something to meet whatever it is I am in the mood for whether it is gentle yoga and meditation or getting super sweaty. The people who work here are awesome - friendly, helpful and responsive. I also value their contributions to the community - they always have a barrel for the food bank, charitable options at the holidays, and they donate for local fundraisers. It is an extremely welcoming and non-judgmental environment. I work out during the day and it is never too crowded. They are continuously making improvements in the space and the equipment. I feel like I should add one negative thing just to balance things out. Whoever designed the parking lot for the building was spatially challenged :) That's it, that's my one complaint. Oh, and there is a delicious cafe in the same building so sometimes it is a bit tough smelling yummy food when I am working out.

Be very careful with the cancellation policy and terms hidden in the fine print on the contract you sign to join this gym. Long story short, my credit card information got stolen a few months ago and instead of updating my card information. I stopped going; life got in the way. There's an access card you use to get in the building and swipe entry into the gym. They have record that I haven't been in months.

It was totally my fault for not staying on top of one of the many moving parts in my life. I ended up with a $100 balance on my account that I have to pay before I can technically “cancel” my membership. I now know that the policy requires 30 days written notice? It’s the first gym I’ve been a member of and I didn’t realize it was this tough to get out of a contract. My fault.

The email collateral I received regarding a payment failure didn’t state a thing about $ balance accrual. A note to update the card to avoid a "fee" but I was completely unaware that this could end up being $100+. I’m VERY frustrated. There’s plenty of room to improve these lanes of communication, increase transparency and ways to lighten the steps of the cancellation process.

OK at best. I use this gym because I’m a working mom who lives across the street and I do not have time to travel further. Three stars for the 24/7 access and the friendly staff. But, the gym itself is mediocre. Equipment is never updated, always dirty as well as missing several staple pieces that you would see anywhere else. Not family friendly - no childcare or fitness options for kids. Gym is expensive - gym access is close to $50, but you can not participate in classes and have to pay another $75 to add the class package which still does not include all classes! Definitely a gym for convenience and would never join otherwise.

The only disappointment I've had with this gym is the fact that we're moving away and I have to say goodbye. There is a lot that I love about this place: the 24hr access is awesome, the equipment is well maintained and plentiful, and the staff is friendly and was never once pushy with us. The most important thing for me, however, is the absence of your classic "gym bro" vibe. The management appears to value every body equally, there isn't a focus on aggressive or "manly" training, and a huge pool of qualified and capable women dominate the training and staffing rosters. As a customer I always felt comfortable and capable while working out, even alongside decidedly buffer people than myself, and that's what kept me coming back for hundreds of workouts over the past few years.

I enjoyed the group classes, although I focused mostly on solo work. The prices are fair and the cancellation process wasn't a chore. Thanks for the good times, Me Fitness.

Love the feel of this place. It may seem imposing upon first entry, but that all seems to subside once you're really inside. I found this place when Tula Bakery was on the ground floor and I entered through the building.

The front desk folks have always been friendly and so one day I asked if they had massage therapists in the place. Why, yes, of course, they do. Offered two different cards with info, I selected Namaste Rae. She's delightful and has the perfect vibes for me. It seems she has a set schedule and she's quite busy, so call ahead for your day and time. I believe she offers several types of massage. Whatever the type, I'm pleased. Google her name, you'll find a way to connect.

The parking is sketchy at certain times of day and it's tricky to park larger vehicles, if you have a choice. A bus line runs on the street outside.

Decent gym with a pushy membership gatekeeper named Phil. It's open 24 hours, offers a good selection of classes, and has decent equipment. That said, the jerk you have to deal with in order to become a member of this gym is a deal-breaker. I called in because they advertise a 3 day trial pass on their website. I said I was interested in that, and wanted to go to a class the next day to get started. I was told to go ahead and come to the class, and then Phil would give me a call when he got in to talk about making the trial membership official, and then we'd discuss the various long term membership options. The class was nice. It was an early morning spin class. The instructor had a good attitude, made the work out pleasant. Then I received a call from Phil. Even though I had called the day before to make sure it was ok, he told me I was not eligible for the 3-day trial membership because I had attended a class for free. WTF? I had only attended that class under the pretext that it would be the first day of my 3-day trial. Anyway, that didn't kill it for me right away, as I was genuinely interested in this gym. So we talked schedules, and because he only works from noon-7, and I work during the day and am not available during evenings, we couldn't meet up in person to discuss memberships. He was EXTREMELY reluctant to tell me about the memberships over the phone because they "were very complex, and difficult to understand." They're not btw. One membership is ~$60, but there's no commitment or up front fees, the other is cheaper, but you have to sign a contract. It's actually pretty straight forward. The more we talked, the pushier Phil became, and it became very unpleasant. Basically, Phil's bullishness pretty much squandered any desire I had to sign up for a membership.

My husband and I joined this gym a little over a month ago. Before doing so we researched gyms in the area, read reviews and even worked out at another gym.

We went in fully expecting not to like this place, We had read the reviews about the sketchy pricing, macho atmosphere, and sales pressure. We decided to visit anyway as there were some positive reviews and the location is great.

We did not experience any pushy sales tactics. Upon our first visit to the gym we were given an informative tour, told the about membership options and left alone to work out. It was made clear that we did not have to decide right away and that we could use our 3-day pass and decide when we felt ready. When we did sign up the pricing was exactly as promised and seemed quite clear and reasonable to me. After signing up we went through our complimentary training sessions, while they did try to "sell" us on personal training I didn't feel that it was a hard sell. We didn't buy any further personal training packages and didn't feel uncomfortable saying no.

I've read reviews stating that there are no women working out in this gym and that the decor is very macho and made other women feel uncomfortable. Every time I've been there the women have outnumbered the men. The decor is red, black, and white and there are a lot of motivational posters and positive customer feedback posters. I didn't find it overwhelming or macho.

Overall this is a great gym. The staff have all been nice and very helpful. The 24 hour access is very convenient and the location is great. If I could change one thing it would be to add some more open floor space to do combined cardio and resistance workouts. The largest area available with free floor space is where some classes are held so it's not always available.

I joined ME Fitness mostly because of its terrific location. I just wanted to take Zumba classes (which they have five times a week), but I decided to spring for some personal training so I could develop a workout and not injure myself. I can't say enough good things about the expertise, care, and personal attention I've received from Rebecca, the training manager. She has worked hard to tailor a workout to my particular needs, and I've begun to see real improvements. I believe their whole training staff is committed to safety and optimum results.

ME Fitness feels like a real neighborhood place--kind of a "nothing fancy" vibe where the staff knows your name and things are casual, but with plenty of good equipment and classes. My reasons for docking one star are, as other reviewers have mentioned, a kind of shady-feeling, never-quite-straight pricing policy (I'm still not sure how much money I've committed to spend); and a less-than-stellar women's locker room.

They desperately need two more bike racks, but staff tells me they've got an order in with the City for that.

∙ Great, friendly, non-intimidating staff!
∙ It's actually open 24 hrs (to members)
∙ Never overcrowded
∙ Variety of classes
∙ Clean
∙ Reasonable price

This is the only gym I've ever been to that doesn't reek of douche.

This is a great gym in northeast portland. It is sooo much better than 24 Hour Fitness. The personal trainers are great too.
