My son has been training with Mendonca Sensei for a little over 3 years now and it has been great for him. This is not your usual belt-mill kind of dojo. This really is professional/olympic level athletic coaching right here in McMinnville. We are very lucky to have access to this level of training. Tony is an expert at both the art of Karate and the art of teaching it to others. The kids classes are just the right mix of hard work and fun. The community here is really kind and supportive and welcoming. Added bonus, there is great gym at the dojo and fitness program, so I can get my workouts in while my son is training on the mat.

Great place for kids to grow and learn respect. Traditional Okinawa style Karate and Sensei Mendonca is one of the top national coaches for helping athletes compete on a USA Olympic level.
Mr. Mendonca also runs the athletes K-fit programs, Strength & Conditioning, with SAQ drills to boost any young athletes skills.
If you are within 1 hour from this location trust me when I say it is well worth the drive and training. For anyone wanting to gain more out of life and looking to improve there on efforts please try this location out.

This place was an incredible community for my child, until it wasn’t. As someone who never knew much about karate and workout classes, I know my child shouldn’t come out crying every day. I think to some degree more life lessons and discipline was taught than techniques and skills.

Tony Mendonca welcomed our children into the dojo as we were in town for the Saito Karate Do Classic tournament. The community was welcoming and the training rigorous. The dojo is large and very well-equipped.
