Our daughter is taking an acro/jazz class with Lilly at Metro and absolutely loving it. So much, that she wanted her birthday party there. We were so impressed with the party set-up!! Spencer was our host and he ran the show like a pro! The kids had a blast with many gym activities and later when it was time for food, Spencer served each guest, treating them as queens. It was organized and stress free for us. Highly recommend!!

Metro Gymnastics Center is the best child activity center in the Tualatin area. 3rd Level Consulting Group recommends Metro Gymnastics center based on our decades of working with children's education, entertainment, arts and sports instruction programs in multiple industries and counties, we are confident in our recommendation.

I am continually impressed by the knowledgeable and patient teachers here. They made it a safe and fun environment with structured curriculum and excellent class management. Small class sizes. We've tired other gymnastics facilities and this one is by far my favorite. Both my kids take classes, we started with the youngest age group a few years ago. The office manager is amazing.

My kids really appreciate their time at MGC doing Tiny Jazz and Gymnastics. It's one of the few extracurricular activities they never fight us on.

Great facility for both activities and a lovely place to hand and work while kiddos are occupied.

I'm grateful for what they do for the community.

I’d give them 10 stars if I could. We had a group of fun, enthusiastic coaches to run a birthday party for my 9 y.o. It ran like a well oiled machines, the kids were always engaged and playing. We had to cancel my youngest’s party that was supposed to run the same day and we will be rescheduling here!

I have two girls at Metro for summer classes. My youngest (4) has been kind of iffy has far as participating as she is very shy and quiet. However, Hunter is beyond kind and was able to get my baby up and moving and had her best day at gymnastics yet. I couldn’t say more about his work with the little kids, his upbeat personality, and the fun games he plays with them to get them feeling comfortable. Thank you, Hunter!!

I am writing this review to both applaud the efforts of Metro Gymnastics and denounce a certain anonymous and openly hateful review. Our experiences with Metro Gymnastics have been nothing short of excellent from quality training to a true interest in the full well being of our daughter. I am posting under my own name and not hiding under a cloak of anonymity. (The funny thing about the gymnastics community is that it's quite small and we're all pretty sure who wrote that, but to name the person in such a light would be libelous.)

Our daughter has been to more than one gym, giving us the background to compare facilities and coaching staff. The competitive nature of the sport requires tough coaching to advance and compete nationally. Coach Sara brings that rigor with a level of fun and team spirit that is admirable. More than once, we have seen girl drama creep into the team, and Sara quickly shuts it down-- the priority here in order is team, self, gymnastics. Sara recognizes the need for gymnasts to support each other and their team in order to advance as individuals and reinforces this through a variety of team bonding activities and events throughout the year that the gymnasts look forward to.

As far as coaches go, I find Sara to be quite humble. Yes, she pushes her gymnasts, but with a laugh and sarcastic wit that is appropriate for her teenage charges. (Try spending four hours in a gym full of smelly teenage athletes and maintain perfect composure!) To the gymnast who refuses to complete a skill, you will find yourself at times frustrated as your coach is pushing you to move forward-- this is, after all, the advanced levels of gymnastics and more is expected of you.

The owner of the gym, Dave, is a no-nonsense guy who puts the overall safety and reputation of the gym above the individual whims of coach or gymnast. He works hard to compromise when there is conflict between members of the gym, but will not hesitate to terminate a relationship if it negatively impacts his gym. Sara would not be continually employed if the practices described by the anonymous poster were true.

A previous review states, "Many gymnasts have gotten hurt because of the outrageous, and just plain stupid crap she makes them do during practice." We find quite the opposite to be true. We have seen gyms where many gymnasts have the same repeated injury due to poor coaching or lack of conditioning. Sara's coaching emphasizes strong body conditioning and safe training methods, and as a result, we see fewer injuries common to gymnasts. Perhaps the other poster could elaborate on a specific practice that has resulted in injury.

I have reported the other posting as inappropriate as having hateful (and potentially libelous) content. It is the rantings of a former gymnast that simply couldn't hold up to the expectations of a demanding sport.

Our daughter has flourished under Sara's coaching at Metro Gymnastics. She provides timely communication about our daughter's progress, and it is a two-way communication where Sara enlists our help as parents to help achieve shared goals for both our daughter as a gymnast and the gym program as a whole. Yes, our daughter comes home frustrated some nights, but even on the worst of those days, she remains adamantly supportive of her coach, knowing that support is mutual.

Accountability in a young athlete is something we as coaches try to instill our athletes. We strive to teach them to not only be the best athlete they can be, but the best person they can be. I am a coach from a different gym who runs the competitive program and have known Coach Sarah, the optional coach, both on a personal and professional level for the better part of 10 years. To say she is someone who gives her all to her athletes, who loses sleep over their well being and success, who sometimes sets her own family aside for her athletes and who strives to bring out the best in them is an understatement. Coach Sarah was voted in by Oregon coaches and holds a spot on the USAG Oregon committee. She is also asked yearly to coach kids at various camps around the region. I recently read a online review on Coach Sarah that made me sick to my stomach. Shame on that person for lacking the accountability of herself to be successful in life. I am glad this person chose to go to a different gym, again. Maybe the next coach she heads to has created a magical potion that can fulfill athletes dreams without the work put in. I am glad Coach Sarah no longer has to endure the entitlement attitude of this athlete. I feel bad for the next coach that has to endure it, or future employer. I stand behind Metro, coach Sarah and their owner 100% and any athlete coached by Sarah is a lucky one who is better off in life because they were coached by her. Highly recommended gym!

Metro gymnastics is a great gym! Especially coach Sara. She coached me most of my gymnastics career. My sister and I followed her over to metro because of the way she cares for her athletes both in and out of the gym. She has inspired me to become the best coach I can be for my athletes now. She helped shape me into the person I am today. I don't know where I would be today without coach Sara in my life.

Metro gymnastics center is a wonderful, loving, and caring environment. It is a great place for kids to learn and have fun, and the team programs are phenomenal. My experience on the optional team program has been wonderful and the head coach is very helpful and caring to everyone on the team. She is supportive and teaches the team many valuable lessons on and off of the team. All of the girls on the team are very close and share a passionate bond for the sport. I am proud to be a part of the team and it has been a wonderful experience. Sara has always helped and supported me through anything. She motivates everyone on the team and is easy to talk to. She has created a fun atmosphere for the team to work in and helps everyone to be the best they can be while having fun and enjoying gymnastics. I am grateful to be a part of such a fun and loving team. Thank you Coach Sara.❀

We had our son's 5th birthday party here and it couldn't have gone better. Prices are reasonable and the staff could not be more accommodating. Annette made sure everything came together perfectly. They are doing everything right!
