For $179/month definitely the worst customer service experience. I came early about 15 min but forgot my monitor I live across the street. I asked the front desk if I should get one she said Iโm fine. Class starts and the trainer tells me that I need it. I come back and ask her to borrow one and she says itโs $10 feet. I asked her why then she wouldnโt tell me that prior? She said simply oh I didnโt know you want one. Before tried to book a class and app wouldnโt work and I asked her to assist and she said simply I donโt know. Asked if it would be beneficial to take one class or the other? Guess the answer? Idk. Asked to ask a trainer. Oh no not right now. 0 help.

Very aggressive sales are a turn off. I did not to opt into text messages and got a text immediately after making an account anyway. Then received a number of phone calls. They advertise spin classes but do not actually have them.

โMembershipโ with OTF must be taken with copious grains of salt. Iโve been a member for years, but have had at least 3 negative experiences with front office staff and at different locations.
Front office staff have their hands tied by upper management so theyโll never be understanding about refunding you even if youโre in the right. Literally never. I asked to hold my account and put the start date as one day after my bill date by mistake. I pointed this out after they charged me for a full month, asking for a refund and to start the hold thenโฆ I was denied by the office manager, with attitude. I had to dig on the Internet to find contact info for the holding company/gym owner and email THEM for an answer. I told them what happened and they quickly refunded me. Why do this to your โmembersโ? Itโs because they do not care about customer service whatsoever, you are just a number ($$$) to them. I think this has an effect on the why the culture at their gyms is so bad; leadership at OTF is bad and you can feel what that does to their coaches and staff.
The workouts are fine I guess just go into it knowing theyโll do this kind of thing to you, and if you can swallow that, you can be an OTF gym club member. ๐

The best part about this Orange theory is the coaches are absolutely amazing, and they play good music!
It is a very clean studio with plentiful underground parking.

Visited this gym while I was in town for work and loved it. They had a nice welcome sign when I walked in, the front desk employee was so nice, the coaches were amazing, and I got a great workout. The studio is a bit on the smaller side, but it is in a city so I didnโt expect it to be huge. Overall, I had a great experience and will be visiting again on my next trip there later this year! Thanks OT Portland!

Basically I have been an orange theory fan for years. I like all sports and especially have grown to love weight training. I use to have the elite membership but because I do so much other workouts I thought it would be nice to 2 classes a week. I had the worst experience that is truly making me never want to sign up for a membership again. I have been to the studios in Beaverton and have had a great experience but this studio in particular was horrible. Iโm not from Oregon and donโt live in the city. I live in the suburbs. I only was in that part of town due to my boyfriend living there and i was visiting him. I had trouble finding parking and I end up parking in a garage and I couldnโt even get out of it to find the Orange theory. When I got to the orange theory I asked them if by chance the validated parking. I was JUST asking out of curiosity and not demanding anything. The front desk girl who said she was also the manager got really rude with me and said,โonly if you parked under this studio.โ I told her Iโm not from here and I donโt know where I parked and she responds with, โ I donโt know how to help youโ
I was never asking for help. I just wanted to know how to park in the parking garage and how to get to the studio. I have never felt so unwelcome in a studio. Long story short I was parked in the right garage but I didnโt even get it validated because her attitude was so bad. I know she will read this and I hope she doesnโt act rude to me in the studio if I see her again. Donโt come to this studio.

It is motivational. I lack the self discipline to goto a gym and do my own โroutineโ. Orange theory pushes me ALL OUT! The staff and members that come in are all wonderful and welcoming. It is a warm environment that brings a sense of belonging where we are all rooting for each other I love that.

My experiences at this studio have been consistently negative. The studio is smaller than usual and mostly offers 3g classes. The coaches lack energy, and the manager, who is ironically named, has no charisma whatsoever. Their cancellation policy is excessively strict, and any request for an exception is met with insincere apologies from the front desk staff and aggression from the manager. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this studio to anyone. Instead, I suggest joining a regular gym, eating healthy, and staying fit. The frustration and stress caused by this studio are not worth it.

Only 4 stars because of the lack of size-inclusivity.
I love the coaches, the staff, the community and the workouts. But, Orangetheory needs to do better with their sizing of clothing. I wear a woman's 18 top, which, by your sizing is a 3X. I couldn't get a Hell Week tank top in that size. It makes me feel like less of an athlete. As though OTF corporate only cares about their brand be represented by smaller sized people. It's really sad to see that this is so slow to change. I've written letters to corporate about this in the past. As a size 18, I'm hardly on the high end of the average American. Do better.

I know these OT studios are more or less the same, but I really love this location! So convenient, and each trainer comes with their own twists - some will encourage you to stay in the green zone longer, while others really push for red. This is nice because it let's me choose my intensity.
The row machines have the iPads connected with your OT band, which is nice.
Only small issue: sometimes the space feels a little tight, depending on the floor and row workouts and if it's a full class.

Can not recommend OT Lloyd highly enough. The staff and coaches are wonderful people. Engaged, knowledgable, kind and motivating. I started going to OT in July 2021 as a last-ditch effort to address daily, chronic neck and shoulder pain caused by years of a very stressful 10+ hour per day desk/computer job. I had tried a number of other methods to address the chronic pain but was getting nowhere and was in so much pain some days that I could not turn my neck at all. After 7 months of OT 3x per week my pain is 90% gone and I am stronger and more fit than I have ever been. Yes you do have to prioritize it in your schedule and commit to going regularly, but if you do, you will be amazed by how good and strong you feel. Make the investment in yourself, you are worth it!!

Great place, great workout, mostly great staff. I use OT to pull out of a plateau, when its too icy, or too hot to run outside. I like the visual of the heart monitor as it inspires me to shoot to get to the orange and red and stay there for the entire class if possible. I've done 55 mins so I can do it safely. The visual helps with my personal ability to push. I know I don't achieve this on my own at the gym or on a run. Its a good incorporation of exercise and health balance for me.

There are many things that I like about the Orange Theory Workouts.
1) I love that the class routine changes each day. My body and mind stay stimulated and continue to work different things.
2) The hour goes by quickly because of the way that's designed. I LOVE that!
3) The heart monitor helps me check in with my body and pace. It gives me real time visual feedback to help me adjust my workout accordingly.
4) I really enjoy the environment and positive staff that is part of OTF. It feels personal and like a community.
5) My body sees and feels results!
Thank you!

Poor customer service.
I enjoyed the classes. However, when I purchased the heart rate monitor which attaches to the Apple watch recommended by the staff, I had issues from day 1. I did all troubleshooting steps to no benefit. I would explain my issue to the staff each time I go to workout and they would tell me that the manager will call me and have it sorted. It took the manager 4 months and firmly worded email to finally get in touch with me. And the manager said I would need to spend more money to mail it to their HQ, where they would spend several more weeks diagnosing it. Other staff said that they have received several complains for this monitor.
Why are you recommending the monitor for purchase which you know has been giving users trouble? Why not reach out sooner when someone complains about a product you have sold? Why not make the resolution swift and hassle free? I even offered to take the cheaper one for replacement and forgo the difference.. When someone reaches out to sign up, how soon do you call them back to get them enrolled? Why not show the same enthusiasm when addressing customer complaints?
The experience has left a bitter taste and Iโm cancelling my membership out of principle..

In the four years Iโve been at Orangetheory, Iโve never gotten around to leaving a review.
Oops.
Beyond the excellent workout, high energy, fun playlists, and all that jazz โ THE STAFF shines bright. The coaches keep me coming back because of their engagement and the people at the front desk that learn my name and remember life details always make me smile. The management is their own type of special. They understand the human factor and lifeโs complications. Whatever ethos theyโre running in the studios is gold. Iโm continually impressed.
Daniel worked with me on a particularly confusing problem and went above and beyond. Extra kudos for doing what you do through the confusion of a global pandemic.
And really, Iโm so thankful.

The coaches at Lloyd Center in Portland, and really all the Portland studios, have been outstanding and are one of the main reasons I continue to go. They strike the right balance of pushing us but also recognizing that some of us there are not striving to hit PRs on every run, row, or lift. I particularly have to recognize Elissa from Lloyd Center and how she starts every class by having us check-in with ourselves on our energy level and what are our intentions for the class, as both are different for every person every day. I also am amazed at how well the coaches really get to know you. It's like having a personal trainer there for you. The coaches should get a great deal of credit for the success of OTF, for if it were not for them I'd have looked elsewhere a long time ago.

I've been attending OTF at Lloyd Center since they opened the studio. I had a regular fitness routine at another gym and studio and just thought I'd give it a try. I truly was hooked by halfway through the first class. I couldn't stop grinning! The staff are really wonderful, the coaches superb the other OTF members are friendly and inspiring, and the workouts are exceptional. I can't say enough good about OTF and this studio specifically.

OT Lloyd was my first studio/ intro to OT and I truly loved the atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and engaging that it really makes it feel like a community. Daniel at the front desk is an all-star who always goes above and beyond, including remembering names. The coaches are very intuitive to assist when needed and push you to challenge yourself. I have since moved, but miss this studio every day! Excited to come back when I am in Oregon next. I have learned that not every studio is the same and this one is a stand out!

When speaking with a manager on 10/11 I was told that would be my last bill date and that my account with Lloyd would be closed 11/11. Upon reviewing my credit card bills I saw that I was charged for 11/11. I contacted the manager and was told I could not be refunded for their mistake. I was left feeling like it was my word against theirs and after being a loyal member for years am left with a horrible taste in my mouth.

It took me years to finally try. I was recommended by so many friends but it sounded gimmicky. I was so wrong.
The set up is there are 3 areas, treadmill, row, and floor exercise. The hour is broken up into 12 to 15 minutes each. The exercises consist of HIIT or endurance types. So you never get the same workout, even if you go everyday.
The trainers are great, their energy is infectious, and help your form.
Don't be intimidated if you haven't worked out in a while, if you're just getting started. I think it's the culture to be inclusive and supportive. I end up working harder when there are other people there pushing themselves.
In 4 months I toned up so much and shaved 4 minutes off my mile ( ok ok, I was super slow to begin with). Give it a try. If you hate it, you never have to go again. But if you love it, big big returns.

I moved here from Denver temporarily and sad I canโt keep this as my go to gym when I return to CO. I have gone to a few OTF locations and have to sayโฆ this one is for sure the best. Daniel is the studio manager and truly cares about making Lloyd OTF a great experience for everyone who walks in. The coaches are also excellent and always keeping you motivated. Hands down the best OTF location in Portland!! The workouts are great but what makes this place better than the rest is the staff and coaches. Recently relocated here for a job and I can't not say enough good things about Daniel. He made the transition from our previous location a breeze, plus he is so personable and has the best attitude ...makes getting your butt kicked for the hour not as bad. In addition, I have to applaud all the coaches, Jon, Elissa, Emily and Bethany! They know how to motivate you throughout the whole workout and lead the class with ease. I can promise you, you will never be confused with how great their cueing is! Thanks for the workouts OTF Lloyd!

I loved the fact that I had a personal trainer who didnโt JUST stand around me. He moved around but still managed to help correct my posture and helped with positive reassurance. This work out was quick, somewhat difficult, but FELT DAMN GOOD! I wanted to give it my all and the group around me wanted to see me give my best. I love the group setting and wouldnโt mind making this a for sure thing. So awesome! Music is also always a plus.

I loved the variety and efficiency of the workouts. I was able to get a great workout in just 60 minutes.. The trainers are awesome and everyone was so friendly. I was turned off when I had a shoulder injury that prevented me from working out. I asked to suspend my account for 30 days and was told I needed a doctors note. Really? I was so turned off by this experience that I cancelled my membership and eventually bought a connected fitness bike. I also changed a 5 star OTF review to a 2 star review based on this experience.

This studio is amazing and everyone here was so friendly from beginning to end. I came in to visit from out of town last week and called ahead to get into one of the classes while I was on vacation. The front desk staff was very helpful and made sure to give me the entire rundown of where to park, what to bring, etc.
I've been to many Orangetheory studios across the country and size wise, this one is about on par with most of the other locations.
The front desk staff gave me lots of cute recommendations for things to do while I was in town and coach Billy noticed I was new and made sure to encourage me during class. I really appreciated that and can see why his classes are so popular. He was super upbeat and fun.

Oh Orange Theory Fitness (OTF), how do I love thee? Let me count the ways:
๐Friendly, positive, & helpful staff...studio manager Jordan is such a peach :)
๐Prepared workout: show up and give it your all...great mix of cardio & weights in one class
๐Encouraging & motivating coaches that keep you pumped through the hour-long workout and correct your form as needed
๐You work at your own pace and how much you challenge yourself is up to you: you wear a heart rate monitor and can see your effort up on the screen and increase your own intensity based on the easy to understand data. I started power-walking and now, see me jog! ๐
๐As you continue, you notice your own growth, both endurance and muscle definition. ๐ช
The only slight drawbacks are that you have to pre-book your classes (via an app) and this location is a busy one so you need to do so in advance to get into the time slots of your choice. A location has just opened up in Slabtown and another will be opening later this summer so that should help lighten the load at this location. Secondly, you gotta commit to the time you signed up for: there's a cancellation fee (to cancel within 24hrs of the class)...If you simply don't show, you simply "lose" one of your 4, 8, or unlimited classes for the month (depending on which member package you sign up for).
Going to these awesome classes keeps me accountable...and I love it!

First gym Ive been to with a sense of community. I was worried having not been to a gym in years although was paying for one monthly, but I never had motivation to go or even really knew what to do once I got there. I donโt like group workouts and was worried I would feel watched by others especially with my HR monitor attached to me and on the big screen. The only person watching me is the fantastic coaches to make sure Iโm doing things the right way and safe way. The staff is top notch even though they must get there at like 4am! Iโve been going for 7 months now and Iโm still not bored, we havenโt repeated a workout, the music is LOUD and I love it! Super clean too. I canโt say enough great things about this place and the phenomenal staff. Itโs all these things combined that keep me coming back 4-5x a week!

My favorite gym experience of all time, every time! Love OrangeTheory and the Lloyd Center location has the greatest coaches and staff. Everyone is so positive, encouraging and the energy in the classes always push me to push myself.

Best workout since my competitive swimming days! Iโve tried everything from spinning to strength training to barre to yoga. Nothing compares to the intensity of Orange Theory. It got me in the right cardiovascular shape for the Ironman!

I like that the workouts are different every time I show up. I really like that I get a good workout and I don't have to plan it myself. The trainers are encouraging and knowledgeable and keep me engaged.

Trying a new group class can be intimidating, confusing, and downright demoralizing... :) From start to finish I've understood the process, the next steps, the pricing, etc. as well as the routing for what happens in class. I have felt welcomed, included, and even a bit celebrated at the classes I've taken so far. Can't wait to get back for more!!!

I like the variety. Never really knowing what the workout holds keeps me from dreading it. I also really like that I donโt have to have a plan or even think about the workout, I just need to show up and work hard. The daily encouragement from the coaches and staff is an unbelievable motivator.

I have been going for about a month and love OTF. The trainers are great and the classes are definitely for all fitness levels. The early morning classes (5am and 6am) are waitlist only so that can be a drag. Hopefully, a new PDX location will open and lessen the demand at LC.
I wish it was less expensive.

We need more locations, I think we need more OrangeTheory than we need coffee shops, Portland still has more obese people than we have healthy people, and its costing people, healthcare, and the government lots of money. Sweat it out and see a dietician for GOD sakes

The host was awesome and so personal! I can't believe how nice she was to me being a first timer! She even gave me suggestions on where to eat while in Portland, WOW! The class was awesome, loved the way our instructor orchestrated the entire event. It was brilliant, I never found myself comparing my workout to others because I was too busy surviving! Looking into becoming a member and how it works, I think my wife would love this type of workout. Thank you !

Great business model, friendly, helpful people when you walk in the door. They wish you a happy birthday on your birthday, which is a great connection to show people you care. Great online website to sign up for classes and if you need to cancel they are flexible with in a reasonable amount of time. Several class times offered during the day. Great cardio workout and motivating instructors giving cues on how to move properly in the weight room and on the rower or treadmill. Very clean, they have wipes for all the equipment when your done so you can keep the equipment clean. Pretty impressive!

Great workout...
Friendly staff...
Burn between 800-1000 calories per workout...
Motivating coaches...
On point music...
Variety of workouts...
Coaches demonstrate the exercise before we execute them...
2 individual showers with accoutrements (i.e. soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower mat, hair dryer, straightener)...
Lockers to store items while working out...

I have never been more disappointed with a company in my life. The trainers and classes were great, the problem is that orange theory will try and gouge you for every penny if you decide to leave the club. I had two free classes and was leaving on vacation so I decided to freeze my account and use my free class for a week. I was told all along that these were free classes and never notified of a fee to freeze my account. After attending the first 'free' class I was charged $20, then later in the month $15 for freezing my account. By the time I had finally returned from my vacation the 'free' classes ended up costing me $120. That's 2x$15 for a freeze penalty(which I was not told about) 1x$20 to pay for my free class and 1x$69 for the monthly fee all members must pay when they cancel their account (I was also not told about this until I cancelled) this is an extremely unfair billing practice that I hope others don't have to experience.

I was very scared when I walked in but the coaches and staff were very easy going and friendly. I was afraid they would be super sales like and push me to commit that day when I needed to think about it. They were more laid back than I thought they would be and it made me feel much more comfortable. The workout was intense but totally doable! I was jogging and I haven't done that in years!

Orange Theory has changed my life and I just started a month ago. Its the ultimate therapy for me. I had lost my wife of 20 year's a year ago and I had been wallowing in depression and grief . I firmly believe that our body is our temple and by going to Orange Theory I can finally deal with my loss in a positive healthy way. The instructors are amazing. I felt comfortable the first time I walked in and I like other people naturally had a little anxiety before i got there and now I'm excited every day to reach new goals !!! Try it and it will change your life too!!! mlk

I travel for work, Athleta, so I go to a lot of different OTF studios. I have to say this studio has the best people working in it! I called to book a class and I received super helpful and friendly service. I was put on waitlist then promptly text to let me know that I got into the class. They even acknowledge it was my birthday ;-) it didn't stop when I got to the studio. The energy from the check in staff and the coach was great. When i am back in Portland, I will be back at this studio.

I love the energy that is created from the combination of the music, the trainers, the staff and the other members. The workouts are great and always changing which keeps it exciting and helps to avoid plateaus. I find that all I need to do is get to the studio and the rest will be taken care of. I love starting my day with OTF!
