I cannot speak to the quality of dance, only the quality of heart. I was passing through town for an interview, and because of my poor financial choices, I was staying in my car. I parked in their lot overnight because I did not notice the customers only sign on the fence near the road. They kicked me out (which is fine), with intimidation and unwillingness to hear me. Maybe they were scared/uneasy (hence the 2 stars not 1), but still, for another human being, they did not care. They told me 'get a job'. I offered to clean their graffiti... So you can see what this is really about. Power. I just wanted to sleep, and I am quite neat/clean and don't litter.

Consider that when you're dancing. I don't know what dance means to you, but to me it's freedom and communication... Not the cold shoulder and iron fist (they said I was about to get clubbed when I started describing the situation and why I was there). If it's 'get a job', or else we don't love you... Is that love? Sounds like coercion to me.

We did not see any benefit from attending Pacific School of Dance. The parents are not allowed inside the building and they do not allow any form of parental observation. We did not see any improvement of dance skills or knowledge from our child after 6 mos of attendance. When we asked our child the most basic ballet moves, such as Tendu, she knew absolutely nothing. She explained they watched older kids classes, they ran around in circles being a fish and they got a sticker. The staff is friendly but our inquiries were dismissed. I do not recommend PSD to any parent who is seriously interested in teaching their child dance. In my opinion, we paid for very expensive glorified daycare.

By far, the most professional dance school you will find around. With great opportunities to dance in the nutcracker with professional dancers from Eugene, and many other collaborations with dancers outside of coos bay, this dance school provides a great experience with alot of training to go with it.
