Update as of 11/29/25: The same young man who refused to give me his name continues to ignore me when I asked for hydro massage. I had to go back 3 times. I uploaded videos. I'm tired of this.

I was really excited to open a membership here. Me and a friend agreed to join together to get back in shape. We were really excited about having unlimited guest passes. 2 weeks into the membership I brought my daughter with me on a weekday, and they told me it was only for weekends. I showed the manager that this was not noted on the laminated sheet at the front desk when I chose my premium membership. He then told me *it's on our website and it's your lack of reading the fine print*. I was a little shocked that he said this, as I mentioned this was not noted on the laminate posted in the club and that was where I had read about the membership, not online. I expressed that it was extremely deceptive. I requested that my daughter be allowed workout that day and thankfully, he agreed.

My experiences with staff so far have been relatively dismissive. I've had several encounters with disrespectful staff ignoring me when I come to the counter. On several occasions I requested the hydro massage room and upon entering once, had to go back to the front desk a second time to ask, then upon a my 3rd return to the room I had to go back again. When I confronted the young lady who I had asked 3 times she interrupted me and went on to talk to someone else. I then had to speak to the manager about it.

They treat people who are larger in size discriminatory and I actually avoided going to the gym because of this for weeks. It almost feels like they are trying to get me to cancel.

Tonight I experienced another rude young man who wanted me to check back in in order to use the hydro massage, I asked him why that was necessary as I had already checked in and if this was a new policy. He asked for my phone number and I was already in the process of checking in on my phone. He would not make eye contact with me and I asked what room I could use, he told me room 1. I went into room 1 and no timer was set, so I went back out to ask if he could please set it up and then he said room 2. I said okay so it's room 2? He said yes. I asked him his name and he refused to tell me. He asked why I wanted his name and I said I intended to speak with the manager. Upon leaving my massage I spoke with a kind woman expressing my feelings about certain staff behaving this way and that it was not the first time I've had to deal with it. I also didn't understand why I was being asked to sign in again as I had never been asked to do that before.

If dealing with unhappy disrespectful youth working here weren't enough, there are what look like gang members working out here. Upon leaving in the evening recently many cars were driving around in the parking lot in circles extremely wild. I always thought Keizer was a safe place but I'm beginning to see just how much it's changed in the last few years.

It takes some of us a lot of courage get to the gym because of experiences like this. I will not be bullied and ignored into cancelling. I invested in a product and so far it's not living up to what was promised. Hopefully my experience will help others to make a fully informed decision before doing business with Physiq.

I decided tonight that I would go online and leave my experience because I think others should know before paying a sign up fee and getting invested in a place where they will be treated like this. I do hope that this review can help create positive change within, so that people who come here to get self care are treated better, especially people of size and weight. It's unfortunate when so many people are so unhappy in a place where they should be happy!

The owner needs to have better hiring practices with this young rude staff and I would probably assume that much of the unhappiness and disrespect probably comes from somewhere. I hope my experiences helps you better understand the Keizer Physiq and why you may not want to give them your business.

I have been coming here for almost a year and I have had nothing but amazing experiences. All of their staff are patient and kind. They will answer any questions I have. I had to mention Maricruz, she is truly so incredibly kind and sweet. She has made this gym feel welcoming since day one. I have visited various times and have had great experiences with Sangato and Danny they have made the afternoons feel incredibly safe and welcoming. Also had to mention Elizabeth she makes an amazing cookie crunch.

I'm a new member but so far I've been very happy with Physiq. The staff are always friendly and smiling. The facility is clean and I often see employees maintaining and cleaning the equipment during the day. There are plenty of machines to go around, I've never had an issue even when the place was busy. I've been meeting with one of their trainers, Nico, and he is very professional, knowledgeable, and has made me comfortable trying new exercises even though I'm a beginner.

I switched my home gym to the Keizer location thinking it was going to be better than South Salem, boy was I wrong. The staff here are t not friendly AT ALL, I had incident with Daniel there at the front desk and my non contract agreement which turned out to be a contract. I asked for a manager to contact me regarding this incident and my membership……………………… I am STILL waiting for a call from the manager and that was almost 3 weeks ago. Do not believe them when they say they don’t do contracts and “it’s not a contract”, they said that’s what they call it. I told them that is false and they should not be saying that at in fact it’s not true. And it’s not. The minute you sign up, you are locked into a contract. This Daniel guy YELLED at me and my husband because he was frustrated, that’s it. I also have it on video. You’re better off avoiding the high schoolers that are running this place, and just go to South Salem location. It’s a bit of a drive for me but SOOOOOOO worth it when your greeted with nice staff when you walk through the door, they are friendly, and helpful, their attitudes are great IN SOUTH SALEM! Here, not so much. Your lucky if you even greeted when you walk through the door. I had a rude lady come in while I was showering and changing telling me to hurry because they needed to clean the bathrooms and lockers. Told me to hurry! Smh that was my last straw here. This place won’t last long with the lack of care and terrible treatment it gives in Keizer.

My personal trainer Nico is amazing patient and knowledgeable about most things and if he doesn't know he will find the answer. This is a perfect example of a good trainer. This gym is wonderful super clean has all the equipment you need. The staff are super friendly, very welcoming and warm. They have a room with movies that you can work out to. They have a great instructor classroom. They have private training areas and they even have ice for their members. What more can you ask for? Definitely get the membership.

UPDATE!!
The staff spoke with me about the things I previously mentioned and they sincerely apologized. They clarified the doors are locked during the times when no staff is present and do have a code reader for accessing the gym. Signs have been posted regarding the lockers. The staff is attentive and actively working the front desk and walking the floor, inspecting and dusting the equipment.
I received a one time discount as an apology. I am very grateful for this!

I really thought this was a great place, but after some time I have realized it is not. I had a trainer named Kai who canceled on me at least every other week. I couldn’t get my money back for it. I was paying $80 every 2 weeks, or $160 every month. Finally I got fed up with paying for service I was not getting, so I cancelled mid July in person and yet they are still charging me to this day and refuse to cancel. At first I loved it because half of the staff are really nice. It is also a decent environment, but some of the experiences definitely changed my perspective on this place. There is also one girl that works in the morning/afternoon who is an assistant manager and she is always so incredibly rude and judgemental. Because of this entire experience I cancelled my actual membership, luckily I was able to do that through the app, but they still think it’s okay to charge me for training sessions I am not getting

All of the staff have been very encouraging and warm and friendly, except the manager. I always feel like he is looking at me like he is judging and above me. He fake smiles and comes across as impatient. It’s quite unfortunate because I avoid the front desk if he’s out there. Can’t remember his name but his name tag says from California. Ellie and Maddie have been exceptionally friendly and have always made me feel welcome and Like they care about my experience at the gym. I truly love coming to this gym other than that. It’s clean, smells good, is busy and people seem happy. I LOVE Saturday yoga with Luis! I’ve been recommending the class to a lot of people. A+!

I show up at Keizer Physique 10-14 times every week.I find the faciliy always clean and the staff friendly.I have access to all the gyms in Salem including all the Physiques, Courthouses, West Coast, Kamikaze.....and i have narrowed my favorite down to Keizer.
The equipment is great and nicely maintained, spread apart so im not running into people ,the mens bathroom and shower area is also nicely maintained.I appreciate that the staff greets me by name also.

I recently left a poor review for Physiq Fitness, I regret leaving that review and and I have currently deleted it. I am thankful that in these times of social media that this is one time that you can delete something that you've posted. I posted that review in a moment of frustration I love Physic . the staff here is so rude, i pay $50 for a membership just for them to treat me like garbage. The staff here is definitely fat phobic or something cause when i was lighter i had no problem until i gained some weight. Today i was in zumba for an hour and i went to the recovery room after, i was in the recovery room for 5 minutes before the staff came in and told me that i had been here the whole time which was NOT true and that i had to leave. Not to mention Ellie the manager is always giving me attitude and weird looks, save your money people (also ive had a gym membership here for 3 years and never had problems till recently)

I don't usually write reviews, but I think it's time I share my experience with Physiq Fitness in Keizer. This place has truly changed my life.
I joined about 16 months ago, and since then, I feel like a completely new person. Not only have I become healthier and happier (I've lost over 100lbs), but l've also found the confidence to pursue opportunities I never would've imagined for myself.
The community here is incredible. l've made lasting friendships, and the support from the trainers--especially Nico, Paula, Betzai, and Martha--has been nothing short of inspiring.
They push me to be my best and to constantly challenge myself.
This weekend, I completed a Spartan 5k. A year ago, I wouldn't have believed that was possible for me. But here I am--proud of what l've accomplished and deeply grateful for the encouragement and strength l've found at this gym.
If you're looking for a place that empowers you not just physically but mentally and emotionally, Physiq Fitness is it.

Ellie always has the kindest service whenever I walk in and is always a great help with my water bottle purchases. I tend to purchase 4 water bottles a session because I like the water straight out of the bottle. Whenever I go up to buy my water bottle she always knows and is ready to get the transaction done. Sometimes though I switch to a protein bar and she doesn’t see that coming so I almost removed a star but she always wishes me a good day so I didn’t.

I’ve been a member at Physiq since 2018. My home Gym was always the South Salem but I moved to Keizer recently. I went to this location a few times and find it very out dated, most workout equipment is very worn out. The Staff is not very helpful. I now make the 20 minute drive back to the south Salem location. I would recommend anybody do the same or find A different gym in Keizer

Major kuddos to one of Physiq's personal trainer, Jayden! Jayden is an exceptional trainer that offers a lot experience in weight training and creating/modifying plans specific to the client's needs. Hes very personable and knows how to engage his clients in executing the exercises at its full potential. I'm currently on the path to recovery from several injuries and Jayden has introduced me to several pointers on performing the exercise while in a safe manner. My boyfriend phone was stolen from this location. The gal working on Sunday February 9th at 10am said “it’s not her problem”.
Anyways. Will be canceling my membership. Just a warning that if you leave anything unattended it will be stolen.
Phones can be replaced, but a bit of kindness and quality customer service could have gone a long way. Certainly not worth the $100 a month plus yearly fees

A gym you can call home. Whether you are just beginning your fitness journey or this is part of your life, the Keizer location has everything you need. Lots of equipment and they have machines you don't see anywhere else. If you are new on your fitness journey they offer 2 free training sessions as part of your membership. My favorite part is finishing in the Sauna. A proper gym needs a Sauna and here you get that. 5 stars.

I’ve been working out here for years, since it was a golds. But I’ve enjoyed this physiq gym a lot. The staff is nice and courteous, and they keep the place in good shape. The prices are quite affordable. They have a lot of equipment and weights, as well as cardio equipment. Won’t be wanting for anything. The hours are good if you’re an early morning person or a late night lifter. All in all I am happy to be working out here. Kept me in good shape.

Thoroughly enjoy coming to this gym. They have all the things I am looking for. Great selection of weights, variety of cardio equipment, tanning and a updated recovery room for those days I'm a little extra sore. Every time I'm in, Noah W is friendly and greets with enthusiasm making sure all my questions are answered. They also have a tasty smoothie bar that has quite the selection. The PB cup is fabulous. 👌

Keizer, OR Physiq has been my home gym since it opened. I took a break for a while and came back after the pandemic (like a lot of people) and still enjoy this gym just as much as I did before. Staff are always so pleasant and helpful! I go early in the morning's and am always greeted with smiles by Noah & Elizabeth :) The gym floor is clear and well kept, the equipment as well as the bathrooms are always SO cleannnn! Which is always appreciated :)

Been coming here for years and I can't say I've had any unpleasant experiences they have a daycare they have things that you could come in and have emergency meal plans with energy drinks they got shakes it is elder friendly it's also got classes and tanning beds here in the Kaiser area. South Salem has more classes than Kaiser if you're looking for more classes. All around it's a 5 out of five experience from my 8 years here

Have loved the gym! Aside from the gym itself (obviously,) they offer a lot of other great amenities which I haven’t seen at other gyms I’ve been to. The staff is also very kind and welcoming and have answered any/all of the questions I’ve thrown at them.
