I’d like to recognize Corey for his outstanding work. He’s always maintaining the gym’s cleanliness, assisting members, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This is a very positive place. Staff are helpful and always give a nice interaction. Two things. I would encourage management on is to think about simple ADA things they can do, such as buttons for the entrance doors and closed captions on some TVs. The other is yo have a space for floor workouts. Currently in Albany, OR we have to block the fire door or fit a mat in between machines.Despite leaving comments for management, nothing has been done.

I am very impressed with Kayla, the Manager of this facility. She helped me with an issue and explained fully. I also spoke with Brian a Manager at the Corvallis facility when Kayla was out over the weekend who provided me with sound answers to my question and encouraged me to contact Kayla Monday. You guys need to go back to being open 24 hours. It was my entire reason of starting a membership and you guys just dropped it. We have no other 24 hour gyms in the area. This is a big market that gyms are missing in this area.

Staff is amazing, facility is very clean. However, we need more floor space. One room with mats, and there’s no where to even put the mats and stretch/do floor exercises. We all make do with what we have but sometimes it’s frustrating when there is only really 3 spaces on the floor and they are always full. With the influx of teens, we need more room to spread out.

Fantastic gym. Arguably one of the cleanest in town. Where it lacks free weight barbells it makes it up in cost. The staff are incredibly friendly despite what they are required to do and deal with at minimum wage.

Really enjoy working out here! Today the manager commented on my mood from a few days ago,pointing out I looked in a bad mood and if I was doing better today!She was very sweet and made me feel like she cared. The crew at this location go above and beyond with the cleaning and customer service.
UPDATE,”I have been going there for 6 months and I haven’t had an issue about noise or anything. I come in and workout on a morning that I normally don’t.Well I was over by the free weights doing curls with nobody around and I don’t make noises or slam weights,a worker walks up to me and says the female working up front said I was grunting and she could hear it. Nobody was around me at all and she must have been really focusing on me to hear anything given I was far away from her. Felt like I was singled out and being it’s a judgement free zone and I’m working out,I’m being judged which is bs. I was breathing air and moving like I have been and I didn’t need someone on my ass about it. Considering cancelling if it happens again.

Workers are great and helpful, gym is clean, and people generally wipe off the equipment after they use it. Occasionally people neglect to rerack their weights which isn't really on PF. Came here from the Y and it's so nice not hearing people grunt loudly as they lift weights.

I joined Planet Fitness in Albany about a year ago.
The staff is always helpful and friendly.
There is a wide variety of exercise equipment available.
The employees work hard to keep the gym super clean.
There are two separate areas that have workout programs.
Another area holds the massage and tanning equipment.
Hydro massage is my favorite.
I love this gym and highly recommend it.

I have worked out at several other planet fitness places. I had no problems. Today at the Albany club i wanted to use the bathroom, but there was a staff girl meticulously wiping down everything in the mens bathroom, while this young lady was conversing with a guy taking a dump. She was in this bathroom awhile. I am a little conservative, and prefer to go pee when there are no females around. So i go to the front desk and ask if there is another bathroom to use. The girl at the front desk (who looked to be around 12 years old) just said go in and use the mens bathroom that has the cleaning girl. She wont mind. I really dont like this. Another time i had to use the bathroom and a guy staff with rubber gloves on was there with a garden hose squirting the floor, and told me i cant be in the bathroom (it was around 4pm). He spent a long time in there. I dont like the staff cleaning bathrooms policy at this Albany healthclub. Its dumb to have female staff cleaning the mens room during the day. If they have to shut the bathroom down have another toilet handy. Cant they find a male staff to clean the bathroom during the day? I may have to cancel my membership at this wierd place. Maybe this is modern stuff? Why cant i take a pee in peace at a healthclub?

These people have been charging me for an account that I closed almost a year ago in person at the gym. I have contacted them every month to get this resolved and they’re still charging me and when I call they claim the district manager will call me but he never has. I have not used PF since I canceled last June before I left Oregon and I am still paying for it! I would not advise anyone getting a membership at this particular location because they obviously don’t know what they are doing.

1 Star for the only reason that they have a sign in the Showers saying “Showers are running cold bla bla bla …” they are lying, Showers are running hot water as well, I tried. They apparently don’t wanna have a person cleaning showers cause I saw only one guy taking care of the whole place. My goodness, why lying to the persons who pay your salary?

Love my gym and the employees! They work hard to keep the place clean. I constantly see a diverse group of people, the vibe is always welcoming and I don’t ever feel it’s so busy that I can’t get a good work out in. Their black card membership is worth the price for sure.

I went to join the club but I was confused by the manager when after I walked around the entire building she decided to stop me on the way to the trash can a couple feet away to say that I needed to sign in to do so. Wouldn't let me throw a piece of paper away that was literally 2 steps away. Not sure what that was about but not something I want to deal with.

STOP - Go anywhere else.

Equipment - Cheap and poorly maintained. No barbell free weights, limited number of machines, missing equipment, missing necessary attachments.

Single gym access - Planet fitness no longer offers free use of other locations. Was informed i get 10 non-home gym guest passes, then it's $5 per visit. UPDATE: With no warning, they said I cannot work out here unless it's my home gym, 3 days in.

False advertising - Website offers $1 day pass. Wasted my time driving out at 6am to be declined at the door. Terrible experience.

Staff - Please for the love of customer service, train that teenager that works the desk at 5am on weekdays. She has 0 experience and even called us "you people". Planet Fitness Corporation is going to cringe when I post the video of our most recent interaction.

UPDATE: Just had our first workout at Physiq and WOW, what an incredible experience. They even have a 5 day guest pass. Go. To. Physiq.

Not sure what these reviews are talking about but this gym is one of the best PF locations i've been to. I travel a lot so i've been to planet fitness in almost every state so i have something to compare with and this gym has the newest equipment, all machines were brand new, all employees were busy trying to keep the gym clean, showers had a great pressure. I couldn't find a single reason to be complining about. People who are leaving bad reviews here need some reality check...

I visited this club while visiting a friend in Oregon. I am happy there is a Planet Fitness in Albany now. When I visited the club it had only been open for 5 months and it still had the New Gym Smell.

The gym was very clean which I always appreciate. According to an employee, it was rated one of the cleanest clubs in the franchise. That was not too surprising to hear since I saw employees thoroughly cleaning equipment while I was there.

The gym has all the usual equipment you will find in a Planet Fitness. They even have extra machines / equipment which tend to be most used and popular.

The locker rooms are well designed. They have more toilets and shower stalls than I have seen at larger Planet Fitness gyms. This is good for peak hour gym patronage.

The Black Card Spa is also very large and has a lot of machines. My favorite is the super massage chairs which essentially give a full body massage.

Other Notes:
The WiFi worked very well.
The staff was very friendly.

Definitely mixed feelings after today I was just checking it out as a guest...I forgot my waterbottle not even 4 min at the bike section when I went back for it Alex that was cleaning the bikes right after I used them told me he has just thrown it away it wasn't even 4 min...by the time I got off the bike when to the back and realized what I had done....ridiculous.

Before i do my review, I want to give a huge shout out to the employee, Kadin! He is one of the nicest people I have ever met and is so helpful! He's super funny and so super nice! Anyway, I absolutely love this gym so much! It's only been 3 weeks since I've started working out. But so far, all the machines are self-explanatory, but if you're confused, there is a QR code you can scan with your camera on all machines that have a video on how to use them. They have 3 stand-up tanning beds with 9 minute maximum time, which are really good beds. There is a stand-up Red Light Therapy bed as well, and like 6 Hydro Massage chairs. There are so many different options! Oh, and the best part for me is the 30-minute circuit training area. So far, everyone keeps to themselves and only focuses on their own workout, and you don't have the typical creepy man or woman trying to pick up on everyone or get attention. The cost is amazing as well. The employees are all super nice and helpful. I definitely recommend this gym especially for the price!

I recently visited this gym as a guest and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, I appreciate that the gym offers a space for people looking for a quick workout and a healthy lifestyle without being overly crowded. However, there are several areas for improvement:

1. Guest Policy: I was informed that guests must leave when the member they came with leaves, but this rule is not mentioned in the gym’s guest policy. Clarification on this would be helpful.
2. Facility Maintenance: Some equipment had dust on it, and the restrooms were lacking toilet seat covers and toilet paper. Additionally, paper towels for wiping down equipment on the gym floor were either empty or stuck.
3. Staff Efficiency: Reception staff could benefit from better training for improved communication and efficiency. It also seemed like the staff were not actively engaged in maintaining the cleanliness of the gym, especially in ensuring that paper towels were available for wiping down equipment.

Addressing these issues would enhance the overall experience for members and guests.

The hours are fantastic, with the gym open 24 hours from Monday to Thursday, offering flexibility for all schedules.

The gym is already well-organized, with plenty of equipment available. It's evident that someone with experience in fitness designed the layout and selection of equipment. There's an abundance of Smith machines and two separate dumbbell racks—one for those seeking a more open gym experience, and another for those preferring a more introverted setting. Additionally, there's a dedicated hip thrust machine and a multitude of cable islands for versatile workouts. The new bathrooms are stunning, with mirrors in each of the private changing stalls, allowing members to check their progress. The lighting in the bathroom and gym also adds to your physique making you feel good about yourself as you work towards your fitness goals.

I spoke with the owner, and the future of this Planet Fitness looks very promising, with some planned renovations to create a more spacious atmosphere and add more windows to the outside similar to the corvallis club.

After seeing the most recent review I was a little hesitant to try this PF out but went anyway. It was so nice and clean! The staff was very friendly. I have been to many PFs all over the country and this was the cleanest one yet! No wait for any of the equipment or showers.

Rough. They opened well before they were ready.
The facility still looks like it’s under construction. The entrance is confusing and appears closed.
Initially they didn’t have paper towels and spray to wipe stuff down-Now two weeks in that stuff is just sitting on the floor in random places.
Staff seem confused on how things work. No one is on the same page and when asked questions I’ve received conflicting information.
Unlike other PFs, the black card lounge has glaring overhead lights, is sparse, and ignored by staff. The ONE red light therapy booth is already out of service with no plans to repair.
I wish they had just taken a little more time to get things in order before they opened and started charging people. Hopefully they can work out the kinks fast, if not I’ll be ending my membership very soon.
