So I recently quit going to planet fitness because of the simple fact that there’s a certain employee that worked there by the name of BING HE’S MORE THAN NICE HE’S MORE OF A WEIRDO. Im here almost everyday and been coming for over 3 years now- I came as a clueless 30 something that had 0 flexibility or knowledge about training. No one was looking my way or judging while I followed workouts on my phone. I have lost over 30lb thanks to the purple gym- The staff feel like a little family now, and I am so comfortable at my home away from home! I shall remain loyal for years to come. I trained 18 weeks for the Eugene Marathon almost exclusively on their treadmills to pace and prevent injury.

I love pf as Im traveling and its always nice showers,clean and well equipped. I always keep a black card membership which enables me to use the massage machines..which is also nice as I'm traveling..but signing into them is always a trial and 7 minutes isn't enough time on a machine and the workers act like theyre doing me a favor just to sign me up. I checked in with my phone 6 times signing up for a massage chair (some ppl know how to give you longer on chairs since its connected to wifi, most dont and ask you to come back every 7 minutes if you want longer) and they seemed to enjoy giving me a hard time. He kept asking me to sign back in. The 7th time he asked I just walked out and he was sarcastically yelling BYYYYEEE HAVE A NICE DAAAY. There was 3 of them there just watching. I don't expect every employee to be perfect or even friendly..but when they go out of their way to be rude, its horrible to deal with.

I have had a Planet Fitness membership for ten years and this location is by far the best. I come here six days a week and the staff is always so wonderful. Bing and Gladys especially go above and beyond for their customers. They are always welcoming and just instill such a sense of community. Can’t recommend this location enough. We are lucky to have Planet Fitness!

I just joined Planet Fitness, in North Medford. Alex and Ashley at the front desk are great! Ryan, the trainer who rotates days between North and South Medford is the icing on the cake for me. He really listened to me, encouraged me and did not fail to check in on me after my initial orientation. Don't wait, get on in, if for no other reason then to meet the staff!

Everyone is cool here except the weird trainer guy Ryan. Dudes got an ego problem and even though the entire gym was empty he had to come up and tell me I couldn’t use two machines at the same time alternating and nobody was around either of them. And ever since then he’s always watching me and it’s pretty weird. My gf said he does the same thing to her. He’s rarely ever actually training anyone and dude doesn’t look like he’s lifted since high school so idk how he even got the trainer job to begin with, multiple of the other employees that work at this location are more in shape and more knowledgeable about workouts for sure.

The Regional Mgr, Richard, answered the phone and said the annual fee is deducted from your account 2 months following your sign up month. When I signed up, the $49 fee was a one time sign up fee. Richard said he could cancel my membership and refund the annual fee. I asked why would I want to cancel my membership and join again later and pay the annual fee again. I asked to speak with the individual, VP of Operations, over him, he provided her number. He again said you want me to refund your $49. I asked why is there no text, mail, email sent to let members know this is coming out of their account. He had no answer except it is explained during sign up and people sign up in different months. He again asked if he should cancel my membership and refund the fee. I asked why does he continue to ask me this, have I asked you to cancel my membership? He then hung-up - EXTREMELY unprofessional and lacking customer service, he is their Regional Mgr - not setting good example. I called back but he was on another call, said I would hold, then hung up on AGAIN. Lm for VP of Operations, have not received a call back.

Planet Fitness is my favorite place to get exercise and feel great! The locations are all staffed by friendly, helpful people. They have long hours for nearly every time you get the urge to do a complete workout.
Most locations offer hydro massage chairs or lounges, and regular massage chairs to either finish your time there or just come in for only that!
They also have the best quality weight machines of nearly any gym. They are custom made by Life Source for Planet Fitness and are always in tip top condition.
And if you are into tanning or red light therapy, there is a special room for all your needs.
With locations all over the West Coast, Planet Fitness is your go to place for health and wellness!

When I was working out the manager came up to me and said that someone had complained about me " staring" at them and they were uncomfortable.
I said to him are you serious?

He replied yes and gave me the rundown.

I was not "staring" at no one and there are cameras all over the place that would show if I did.

So with no proof was put in a position of defending myself on someone else's word.

These Gen Zer's suffer from social anxiety and social isolation.

I am a 70 year old man recovering from open heart surgery and prostate cancer surgery 9 and 6 months ago and I don't need this in my life.

Goodbye...off to Superior where I was before the pandemic.

Overall a good location, but the water pressure of the showers needs attention. I travel all over and live in a van so it’s something I look forward to. And this is the worst water pressure location of anywhere in Oregon. I don’t know why it varies so much. South Medford. for example, and grants pass is excellent. And it doesn’t really save any money because I have to take an extra long shower to rinse.
Other than that it’s a great gym and customer service.

It was great when I was able to attend. I’m giving it 2 stars though because I wanted to suspend my membership for a couple months because I’m working 12s and in college for 5 weeks. They told me they could only suspend my account for medical and told me I’d have to come down and close my membership. I guess my membership didn’t matter to them.. So be it..

I like going here. There's people of all levels, and it feels very welcoming. The facilities are always clean. I can always find a machine and hardly have to wait for any machines or weights. Zero stars for the upper management at this club. I am 70 yrs old and a 5 years member. My membership was canceled one day without notice or explanation. Just an email sent to me when leaving the club one day. To find out later a female said I had harassed her. No proof, no video and no responses to my numerous emails or letters from anyone local or corporate. I have never had any complaints here or anywhere. I later found out that all employees were told to not respond to anything I sent. No judgement zone? That's a joke, as that's exactly what they did. Cowards. My wife and I will take our membership elsewhere.

Lots of equipment and area to work out and not be in someone else's space. All of the equipment is well maintained, and with the cleaning stations usually always wiped off after use.
The atmosphere is good with the music just loud enough. Multiple TVs with different channels showing set for using the treadmills, ellipticals, or stationary bikes.

Planet Fitness in north Medford is great. I usually go between 8pm and close during the week, but the staff is very friendly. When they are slowing down, they clean and wash machines. All the lifters and cardio goers are all friendly, too. Zero issues with North Medford location. Highly recommend.

I love that I can track my visits and workouts.
I enjoy the circuit and treadmills. Making time for me has always been a struggle. Starting was difficult, but when I kept going, it became fun and rewarding. Some self-care progress is hard to measure. This has been the best $10 and 30 min a day spent. After a few weeks, I could start seeing and feeling a difference.

PF is a great place to get your exercise at. Just a few things I wish. I wish they would return to their prepandemic hours, that they had more cable machines, and free weights. It seems like most people there are waiting their turn for those things. There seems to be to many treadmills that very few use. Other than those few issues, it is a great place overall.

Update: I reached out to the manager about the hours going back to normal since we are post pandemic now, and they said I need to make a review, so that the oversights understand that people would like the old hours reinstated.

Canceled 2/1, and no you can’t call or use the app, you’re required to cancel in person. So I drove in signed and canceled. But come to find out they never canceled it and hung onto my bank account info. They charged me more than two weeks later on 2/17. It was unexpected and over-drafted my account. They had every excuse in the book as to why it happened, but no real offer of apology or solution. Just we can give you the wrongfully charged monthly fee back, but as far as the overdraft fee WE CAUSED, you’re SOL, sorry about your bad luck. Extremely unprofessional. Save yourself from being stolen from and just go to a better managed gym.
