UPDATE: So happy I joined. I’ve been coming since opening day and this place makes me want to go to the gym. My last gym nearby was filthy and equipment was perpetually broken. The staff here is friendly (special shoutout to Kathy for making everyone feel welcome) and this place is so clean. Staff members are always cleaning which is appreciated. I feel bad that the parking deck above is leaking into such a nice, new space. It’s a landlord issue so I don’t expect PF to be able to solve it.
UPDATE: Excited the gym is open! This location appears larger with more equipment and zones than the other PF’s in the area. The layout is good and I love the huge selection of equipment. There are a few items to resolve with equipment. A handful of pieces cannot be used because their placement next to walls prohibits the intended range of motion but hopefully this will be resolved soon.

I’ve excitedly been waiting for this since
August when they first started promoting it. I understand construction delays and working in Portland is difficult. Still the lack of communication is unacceptable. I left my other gym this summer in anticipation of this opening. Now I see on the city website that it could be the end of October before they get their permits possibly longer.

I’ve only been a handful of times since I joined. I go to another boutique gym and mostly joined here for the hydromassage and cryotherapy beds. The parking situation upstairs was a problem at first but it’s now fixed. You can get 90 min for free from the machine. I came today and there’s massive ceiling leaks around the cardio equipment with buckets catching the yellow water. This can’t be healthy for anybody to breathe in. This is a brand new gym so I’m not sure why the ceiling is leaking. I’d say only about half of people wipe down equipment after use so do your due diligence. On the plus side it’s never been crowded when I’ve come. The staff at the front desk have all been nice. I’d give it 4 stars if it was less damaged already.

EDIT:
We have this place another try. 3 times. First time they had some party. Since then there are literal puddles of water on the machines and floor! No buckets. Front desk girl didn’t care.
Maybe spend money on safety hazards and not parties and TVs?
Myself and a group of friends waited months for this location to open up. We’re happy we did though. Because we got to experience 4 other locations. And this has helped write this review.
This location is like an end of show firework that just didn’t do it unfortunately.
Buckle up, it’s long. It’s 8 reviews in one!
But hopefully it’ll help the owners give us a location that’s close. And hopefully not waste the time of gymmers who want more.
So here are our thoughts as a group of 8 who have been going to PF religiously for 5 days a week for 3 months at 4 locations…
• The layout is just…fine. The machines have no flow. Or so it seems. It’s like where’s Waldo if you’re trying to workout a specific body part/area.
• Where the heck do we stretch?! In the prison cell sized area with drywall dust still all over the floors?
• You’re forced to buy out of a vending machine. The black card discount is tiny competed to other locations. And this angers us because we’re also charged an extra $1 every time we use a machine. And there are 3 of them!
• The locker rooms have a small bench to sit. And you can’t change in locker room by your locker because there’s an awkward mirror that also gives a view for anyone using the toilet. Changing rooms for anything more than a quick change have no bench or seat and 1 hook. So your stuff is in the floor.
• There’s no 30 minute workout.
• We had to fix the rowing machine ourselves to use it.
• 2 treadmills weren’t working. (Worker said “oh”)
I understand there are tvs on the walls, but none of the cardio machines have them. This is such a selling point for those of us who spend 1-2 hrs on cardio a day.
• We take the train or bus because of parking costs at this location. For the reviews saying parking is free? No, it’s not. Why do I have a ticket?! From 2 days ago? With my PF visible on my dash.
• Massage chairs aren’t calming. They’re just out there with people walking by. Music is so loud near hydro, even if you close the door.
• We were scolded for using the little half door to get from treadmill to front desk. Why is it there? Why can’t we use it? Why isn’t there a sign saying so?
This location had potential. But we’re gonna keep going to and advising others joining our workout group to go to the other 3 locations that are a few miles away but well worth it. We hate we have to do this but loving your gym is important.

I have been to so many PFs in my day and this one is good. Trust me. Friendliest staff I’ve ever met, not so busy especially in the AM, very clean (I see people complaining on here about the water leaking but it’s surely not their fault, and it’s not gross, just a few bins), and they have plenty good equipment. Even two pec fly machines! A gift! Also the black card spa is very tidy. Thanks!

I love the location but there's so many red flags. The Paid Parking is one thing, but the contactless QR code application was not working for me today and it took about ten minutes to receive my parking receipt for my dashboard. The leaky roof that causes 3/4 of the men's locker room to be inaccessible. The maze of drip buckets around the gym, and the barbell clamps that are not located physically at the racks, but behind the front desk upon request is very strange. Never seen that before. Openly sets people up for failure that don't know otherwise.

I normally go to the Tigard location (Dartmouth) Happy to have a closer location. Having to pay for parking is annoying but they have 2 hour street parking close enough near by. The locker rooms dont have the number lock so bring a pad lock. The little ones on the floor have the number ones so my first time there I had to use 2 of them for my things. The womens bathroom does not have toilet seat covers. No paper towels just the hand dryers. People were friendly. Gym is small but has everything you need. Ill continue to come on non work days.
***Update***
Free parking for gym goers! And I saw the toilet seat cover installed. Thankful they heard us and updated things. 5 stars!

I’ve visited planet fitnesses in atleast 6 different states and this is the first location I’ve ever been to that has a limit on free parking.
1.5 hours is a tight squeeze as someone who wants to (seriously) workout, tan, and shower.
Also, I REALLY wish you guys would tint the windows facing the streets.
Onlookers at all hours, groups of guys can stop and stare at you 3 ft from you.
Ppl from sizzle pie watch the TVs from the sidewalk while they eat. Really uncomfortable vibes for a woman, I’ll keep driving to Tigard!

This location is awesome, only 6 mins from my house. I give only 4 stars because of the dripping ceiling. I do realize that hiccups do happen when something new opens. It would take a very unhappy person to write 4+paragraphs. I love love love all of the black card spa extras, the membership is worth just that even without the gym. It's great that y'all are open 24hrs during the week. Late evening is about the only time I can go. Z and Mya give great customer service, professional and sincere friendlyness. At my last gym, it's like the employees talked at me not to me.

It’s nice just the ceiling is leaking and they have yet to fix it and it’s like bad bad

Parking is FREE, people just don’t read the signs that that tell you how to print the free ticket.
Only giving 3 stars because there are multiple ceiling leaks ongoing for weeks, which is surprising considering the place just opened.
Additionally several of the brand new treadmills are always out of order.

Very clean and new! Loved the set up, felt like there was plenty of space in the middle of the day on a weekend day.
Just needs covered bike parking and a larger stretching area and I’d give it 5 stars.

I signed up during the promotional period before the gym opened (Sep 30, 2025). At that point, nobody knew when the gym was actually opening. There were no updates online or by email until the gym actually opened (Oct 12?). I have made countless attempts via the website, the app, and calling (voice mail full) to make contact because I wanted to freeze my account due to injury. I was finally able to reach someone on the phone. I was given an email address to contact the Hollywood location, so I did with an attachment related to the injury, but nobody has responded after THREE follow-up emails. Not only that, there is no way to update billing via the website or app. Each are very antiquated. There are 404 links. The contact form submissions seem to go nowhere. The whole thing feels like a scam at this point and I already have buyer's remorse.

I’ve read SO many bad comments about the parking situation, ITS FREE! And it’s in the rooftop. There’s a giant sign that you can see from Sandy, I love the location and I love that there’s no 30 min area because nobody use that section in all the location that I’ve gone, always empty. So glad they saved the space. I’m giving them 4 starts because I believe the ceiling is leaking? I came here Sunday and there were buckets in the cardio area in the floor and several treadmills disconnected due to the wet situation. Also, the women lockers seems that is gonna leak as well? This surprise me cuz is a new gym. Overall, staff is very friendly and I’ve been coming for almost the last two weeks, very nice and well equipped.

It’s pretty bland. We could have more color in here. I get that it’s a beginners gym, but the energy is off. There’s advanced people to go here too, and it can be an upside due to the pricing. You should clearly be able to park free, Because in the last decade and a half, if you’re using the facilities that are here the parking is free. But what can you expect when they’re raising taxes and trying to get money out of everybody every chance they get🤷🏽♀️

Came here for the first time this evening. Two stars because it’s new and equipment is fresh.
That said, I share others concerns about parking. I kept driving around looking for their lot… I came at 11pm and street parking is… scary in this neighborhood. Definitely do not recommend going at night- street parking is plenty but break ins are likely. And you still have to pay for street parking most hours. Yikes. I dont know what they were thinking opening this location without secure parking.
This location is also noticeably smaller- cramped in some areas, while too spacious in others. Going during busy times it’s gonna be hell.
I’ll stick with my old location- this one isn’t up to standard/ worth it given the lack of parking.

Great location! My gym is on Foster Rd...but can't wait to go inside this one gym and check it out!
And to those talking about parking...cmon now lets do the math you can park anywhere or ride the bus...if you use parking after 7pm is free on any street even between hours of operation the parking "can" still be free you just 👀😬😁😉 👍🏻🧘🏻

I was excited for this gym to open because its closer to me than the 122nd.
However, the parking situation makes it basically the same. Having to park three blocks away or pay for rooftop parking aren't great options. The owner pawning this off on patrons in the reviews to call the plaza owner to complain is a solid lack of accountability on providing a great guest experience. No a great launch.
The facility is nice and as good or better than other locations.

Was excited about a closer facility but this was poorly planned out. Nobody wants to pay for parking. And the parking lot owners do not care if we call so you should stop referring people to call them. Hopefully someone plans to open another PF in NE Portland. Will continue to drive to Vancouver :(

So glad to have this location open. Very happy with the space and the staff are super nice and helpful. To everyone upset about the parking, they are working on getting that fixed so that members will get 90 minutes free parking. Big shout out to Jordan the GM. I had a great and informative conversation with her the other day. These 1 star reviews here are REALLY premature. If you're seeking instant gratification then the GYM might be a bad choice. The staff here are VERY pleasant and are doing their best to answer questions.

Edit: It’s open! I was able to find street parking no problem on a Friday afternoon, might be more difficult on weekends but it was really a non-issue.
I’m going to try to be positive about this location, excited for it to open and understand set-backs in startups. For those concerned about the parking sitch - the rooftop has ALWAYS been public parking, going way back.

This location is finally open and it is great!
Well, worth the wait and here’s why : best equipment of all Planet Fitness is around
Instead of just a bunch of cable machines, there’s plenty of counter weight machines, free squat, racks as well as more resistance training, traditional gym equipment. The selection of cardio equipment is as good as any other planet fitness or Jim.
What I really like is the new black card amenities specifically the cryo-cold/heat.
The massage chairs are much much better than the other locations. The typical Hydro beds, tanning beds and such are all there.
The customer service is great and friendly .
Paying for parking sucks but in a heavily populated and very dense urban area it’s pretty normal. I think the prices could be lower, but it’s really not super bad. Of course I don’t work out that location every day and have to drive there.
The area for stretching is actually disappointingly very very small.
I’m glad that there is no 30 minute workout area. It just took up space at other locations and no one ever used it.

I was excited for this location to open, but then found out you have to pay for parking. I'm probably looking to spend around $100 just on parking plus membership fees. Because of that, I decided not to sign up for a membership here...

I signed up for a PF black card membership the day before this location was supposed to open. Boy oh boy what a mistake that was. They keep moving the opening date and not answering the phone, and thus there is no way to contact them regarding your membership. And guess who you HAVE to contact to access or edit your membership?...That's right, your home club! Really not ok to send members running around in circles after already paying for a membership, with no way to actually workout or make changes to their account.

I have really been impressed with my experience with planet fitness so far however for some reason I am having a difficult time finding out when the Hollywood location and the MLK location are scheduled to open? After doing a little research it seemed as though the Hollywood location was already open but when I arrived to work out, it was not open yet.

Doesn’t seem to have a Facebook page like other locations for updates about opening, changes the opening date on Google Maps repeatedly, and can’t seem to find an IG presence either. Basically selling memberships to a club that they keep not opening, but without making a normal amount of effort to communicate with customers about what delays they’re having! (Delays happen! But use social media to update people who look for an update! It’s not 1990.)

Even the gyms downtown offer free parking. There's no reason for this location not to have free parking when it comes with built in rooftop parking. Was waiting patiently for this location to open but I'm better off waiting for the one in the old Nike to open up.
