Low impact friendly, spacious enough in case insecurity is a problem that's preventing you from attending the gym. They are open 24 hours M-F. Everyone that I've encountered have been helpful and friendly. Your membership also includes Unlimited, bring a guest w/you, if you choose to, everyday. It's DEFINITELY worth the monthly dues. Tanning and hydro-massage chairs are also available with your membership. Planet Fitness servers my purpose.🫵👏💪

I’ve been coming to this location for a few months now. Workers are always kind, and the facilities are clean.

It would be nice if the equipment and water station got slowly upgraded. I happen to go to other locations, and this one feels a wee bit behind. Will def make 5/5 once they do.

My wife and I have been members of Planet Fitness for a while now, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The employees are incompetent, rude, and require better training. When I worked out in the mornings and afternoons, the staff always had an attitude and cold stare at you with no greetings. Staff members are always hanging out upfront doing nothing when there's work to be done. You go to the bathroom; there's no soap. You want to clean a machine but there's no paper or spray at the cleaning stand. I have witnessed individuals sweating and neglecting to clean their machines. Staff members don't clean machines that are left sweaty and unsanitary. It's always a hassle to approach staff because they tend to avoid working. When I asked for information recently, the staff became upset because they couldn't figure it out. Even though the manager (black shirt) was nearby, they observed their staff become aggressive and didn't take any action. I just walked away and canceled my membership elsewhere. This location is in need of better management and staff who actually work. Before signing up here, it's best to look elsewhere.

We have been coming here almost daily for over 10 years and it's always been great. The last month has been horrible, harassed by staff who are literally brand new and need a few lessons in customer service, no paper towels and they refuse to go get any at the store or another location, 5pm getting out the vacuums and stringing cords all in between people (total hazard) at the busiest time of night. SO BIZARRE!!!!! Just let people workout in peace like we used to, good grief!

Came here to check out reviews because I was considering joining. I have to say what I found more adverse than the bad news, was the recommendations from the owner, telling the member, to go find the manager on-site and tell them after they’d already posted it here. Certainly any acknowledgement from the establishment is better than none, but talking it upon yourself to notify your manager seems most appropriate than asking your members to keep recounting their negative experience.
Especially because, you want a solution.
I can understand wanting to take out the middleman, if that’s your objective, or just plain encouraging people to SPEAK UP when somethings not right; but odds are that once the effort goes into posting a negative review, folks are just going to bounce & find other places to workout -like my garage. I would like to suggest that Some sort of manager reaches out to me within the next 72 hours to further address a very serious complaint that I have In regards to a male employee being in the locker room and standing maybe 10 feet from me standing facing my direction when I cane out of the shower in my towel .I will not provide further details at this time publicly however i will not only fill the public in on what I experienced I will also file a formal complaint into the Multnomah county circuit Court civil department if not resolved timely to my satisfaction.Thank you

I have belonged to several different gyms.The one on 182nd and Division in portland oregon is there best ever!!! The manager Gabriel is so great.He is a hands on manager.He cleans,repairs,and has his team do the same...A example today. I went to the ladies room and the handicap stall was not usable due to someone clogging and messing up toilet.I went to the desk to say something and in a blink of a eye Gabriel was putting on gloves and headed into the bathroom. There was 2 other employees there and he could of told them to go fix it(which is what I have experienced at other gyms)Gabriel is a truly wonderful person and a employee for planet fitness...Hope he and his team get the recognition the deserve.....

I've been a weight lifter/ bodybuilder and have been a member of many gyms. I grew up on Maui. The thing I really appreciate is convenience, lots of variety of free weights and machines. But what attracts me the most is low cost. A great place to meet ppl and create new friends.

Good gym, usually fairly clean too. But they'd alot of staff members there that hang out with their friends at the desk, act like it's an inconvenience when you need their help with something and on multiple occasions I have been put in the wrong tanning bed for the wrong time. It's usually a pretty busy gym until about 10 or so.

Truck driver here so my #1 thing is parking. Not very easy at this location and there’s signs everywhere saying customers only which in my opinion we are but I didn’t stay overnight and I feel that’s when they enforce more. Anyways, the shower didn’t get past mid warm, kind of a cold shower and especially it’s so small can hardly turn around and there’s no shelf for soap etc., kind of weird. Cramped location as well but at the end of the day it got the job done, thanks a lot

Dusgusting! Do not go here!!! I used to love this location, but last time I was there, I saw BEDBUGS in the locker room. And yes, I'm certain. I had the misfortune of learning what they looked like when I was a kid. I told the staff member at the front desk as I was leaving, and he didn't even look surprised. I know locker rooms are one of the #1 ways to be exposed to them, but I really never expected to see one here. Or I at least expected staff to jump into cleaning mode as a response. The gym is always cleaned and well maintained. The atmosphere is positive. The manager, Gabriel has always been kind and informative. I enjoy coming in to my planet fitness and doing my work outs 💪.

Trying to bring my first guest as a black card member and the guy was kinda rude and I’m 5 minutes in and now my wife downloaded the app and the guy still won’t let her join me. My recent encounters at 182nd prove less than satisfactory for various reasons. I've been tasked with assistance regarding transferring to another location, yet staff members exhibit indifference. They're seemingly unconcerned about addressing my billing inquiries after ten visits to different facilities. This lack of responsiveness and guidance is disheartening.

Furthermore, the state of the tanning beds is less than satisfactory, with evident damages such as broken handles and cracked floors. This not only detracts from the overall ambiance but also raises concerns about the maintenance standards upheld at the establishment.

Moreover, the lack of privacy and security due to inadequate cheaply made door structures is disappointing, especially compared to the more solid door & secure locking mechanism setups observed at other locations.

Additionally, I observe a noticeable discrepancy in the effectiveness of the bulbs in both standard tanning and hybrid beds, compounded by poor airflow, which undoubtedly diminishes the quality of the tanning experience & efficiency exponentially.

On another note, despite enrolling during a promotional period, the promised benefits/credits still have not been applied. When I raise this issue, the response I receive is dismissive and lacking in empathy. There's a customer service aspect missing online or in person.
Additionally, the expectation of receiving a complimentary shirt as a new member remains unmet, further underscoring inconsistencies in the service provided at all locations.

Overall, I believe there is a pressing need for enhanced customer service training for the staff at 182nd. Basic courtesy and professionalism seem to be lacking, contributing to an overall unsatisfactory experience. I sincerely hope that steps are taken to address these concerns promptly, thereby improving the quality of service for future patrons.

Working out here is pretty miserable due to the constant insanely loud blaring music. Been to many gyms and never encountered such blaring music. I can hear it over my headphones on max. I’m here now and about ready to leave early because I can’t stand the music anymore. Its not like I’m asking them to turn it off but it is miserably loud. I will be cancelling my membership soon if they can’t keep the music at a normal volume. People shouldn’t have to shout over the music on the gym floor.

I go to planet fitness is all over the United States because I'm a truck driver, this is by far one of the worst ones next to one in New Jersey. The temperature inside this facility is much warmer than most other planet fitnesses even during the summer time and in the winter. The schedule here is absolutely terrible, randomly closed without notice. I will not be coming to this facility anymore.

How does one cancel their membership!? The website says that going into the gym is the easiest way, when you go into the gym the employees say they don’t know how to cancel a membership. How is this legal? My emails just don’t get returned. The website alludes to a form you can pick up and fill out, but the employees will tell you to print it out from the website. This form does not exist.

I just want to cancel and at this point I think I have to close my bank account.

Did you notice how I read your cancellation policy and knew about the form? Did you notice in the story how I went to your gym and your employees did not know about the form? I had to go back 2 more times before I found an employee that knew how to cancel. Also, if the form is so easy to find, why didn't you link that below instead of the member agreement where I somehow signed away my right to ever leave the club? Do you know why you recommend certified mail? Because there is a history of ignoring the forms , go ahead and link it below, that don't exist when they do get mailed in. So if you don't send it in certified there's no proof you sent it! But I wasn't even trying to do that. I was standing in your gym trying to cancel and couldn't. 3 times! Where did I agree to that? If you sought to be transparent, you would be able to cancel online. It's a choice you make not to. It's not illegal to have that option. If you sought to be transparent you would have the forms available at the desk and your employees would know about them. If you sought to be transparent the form would be searchable or at least findable on your website. Again, link it for me on the public website. Just show me where I find that super transparent form.
(Also, maybe train your people better, because I never signed anything when finally canceling anything. I thought you required that... hence the form....)

I would never have this gym as my home gym. IV been going to planet for years now, and this is the first time IV never seen a planet without a straight up and down bench press. This place has all at an angle press. All 3 machines. This is the closest to where I'm staying but I think I'm goin to start bringing my workout stuff with me before I leave in the morning and stop at 1 on the way back home instead of going home 1st. My car was stolen from here. Someone just walked in, went into the locker room, broke my lock off of my locker, stole my gym bag with my wallet and keys and then just walked on out and stole my car. When I went back weeks later to cancel my membership, they asked if I was the red car? My car is tan. I asked them if this happens a lot and they said yes. They didn't even try to look at cameras or anything. The only reason this isn't a one star review is because the young man working that night it was stolen, was super nice and as helpful as he could be. I'm pretty sure he was working alone too. So if you go here, don't use the lockers and stay safe.
