This place is the real deal!
I had a great first intro class last night. The staff were warm and friendly and make you feel comfortable if you’re nervous starting a new fitness routine like pole. My instructor was so good and even had an uncoordinated person like me dancing and feeling more confident by the end of class. Staff even called to follow up and see how my body was feeling after the first class! They are so professional and warm and caring- I will definitely be back! I highly recommend them to anyone curious about starting or continuing with pole dancing.

PolePalace is great at building community! All the instructors were very friendly and helpful. Very queer and all-bodies friendly. They also have a great membership deal, with unlimited open pole and other classes to choose from each month. I do miss some of my favorite instructors that eventually left. But overall, this is a wonderful place to learn pole and find community.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Every instructor is so wonderful and talented. They are very helpful and make the class so fun. This place is for all body types and all genders. Truly a safe space to let go! As a bigger person, I thought I could never do pole, but now I am doing moves that make me so proud of myself. The community is just wonderful as well. I feel sexy and much more confident since I’ve started going here. Highly recommend Pole Palace to anyone who has an interest in getting started!

The Pole Palace is an absolute gem of a studio. I've been going for years and have loved my experience. Prior to attending classes at Pole Palace, I 100% identified as a clumsy non-dancer. Now, I'm doing tricks that I never thought I would be capable of and my movement has become silky smooth. I feel like a super hero climbing the 13 foot pole just using my hands and shins. The instructor's ability to meet every student where they're at and provide a supportive environment is truly amazing.

A very welcome and friendly environment. I felt totally safe, comfortable, and supported during my first few pole clssses. Hayes is awesome! They give productive feedback and positive praise that takes away from the awkwardness and makes the experience so much fun.

Lovely and affordable studio. The instructors really care and are so helpful. This studio is LGBTQIA+ and fat friendly.
All the staff I've worked with were helpful, respectful and kind.
One of the best instructors I've had here is Cat G. She breaks down the moves step by step to ensure you nail it. This makes pole feel very accessible for someone who has challenges learning and physical limitations.
Another stand out teacher is Laura. She always checks in about any injuries and will modify moves to ensure you are safe.

Was encouraged by a friend to take classes here and was able to do a free taster last summer. I signed up for intro series, but had to reschedule when it was moved by one week because it then overlapped with a trip I had planned. They were great with giving me credit which I used to sign up for intro after the holidays were over. Emily was my instructor for taster and Sherrilyn for intro and pole 1, both have been wonderful and made me feel like safe while also able to do some unbelievable stuff! Also shout out to Hayes at the front desk, they always answer whatever questions I have, so helpful!

Took a variety of classes at Pole Palace (pole, lap dance, sensual flow). One of my new year's resolutions was to try new things and this was definitely out of my comfort zone, but I'm so glad I did! The teachers were amazing and super talented at what they do. Not only that, but this space taught me to be more comfortable and in tune with my body. Pole Palace helped me get more in touch with my sensual side and for that, I am grateful!

I took Intro to Pole with Sherrilyn, Pole 1 with Emily and Candace, and Floorplay with Sara. I was hooked from day one! I feel that this is a safe space, and have enjoyed getting stronger and feeling more confident in my body. I used to think that I would need to gain upper body strength to start but starting without much has proven to show that the classes themselves are enough to help with that. If you're curious, there are often taster classes to try for free and see if you're interested. A fun and fantastic activity and community! So grateful!

I love this studio. I like the structure of the intro and beginner series as classes building on each other so everyone can be on roughly the same page. I love the range of classes and instructors. There is a great and friendly community here, and I appreciate how frequently they offer showcases to give students a chance to show off their stuff in a safe space. Also its never too hard to find parking within a block or two. My only complaint is that I wish there was more open pole time offered.

I’ve been coming here off and on for years, and I’ve always been so happy with the company and the instructors. I feel so welcome here. Pole Palace changed my life! When I started I was already 46 with no professional dance experience.
During the very first class, my instructor Sara James told us
“It’s not about dancing. It’s about self love.”
At the moment, the lighting hit through my body. I never EVER thought about loving myself. Since then I’ve been a big fan of her and almost reaching out to my 1 year pole anniversary.
If pole dance is one of your bucket lists, I highly recommend to jump into Pole Palace!

. The Pole Palace has been a singularly enriching experience for me on multiple levels. Throughout my time there, I have acquired a diverse array of pole techniques that have not only enhanced my physical strength but also deepened my connection to my sensuality. Most notably, I have had the privilege of meeting extraordinary individuals who create an inclusive and welcoming community. The practices learned in pole will be with my for the rest of my life and pole is the sport bringing me into a healthy, strong, and sexy senior years era. Enjoy the moment! Be in the moment and go to freestyle class often and bring that into your daily life. Come live in the moment and be in a welcoming community, and learn the art and science of pole dancing.

In response to the owner: You know what you did and who you fired and why instructors are leaving left and right. Living by the 3 D's, deflect, deny, distract.
Posting anonymously to avoid retaliation. Pole palace was great when I started in 2022 but then it started to feel like a negative environment. I felt bad vibes and cancelled my membership in 2023. Since then, the owner has been on a power trip and has lost or fired at least 5+ wonderful and advanced levels instructors, leaving only the newbie instructors who can only teach intro or level 1 classes. Many of my favorite teachers have moved on to Aerospace, Portland Pole & Dance, or Fig Tree Studio. I am not sure what the owner is trying to accomplish by firing beloved teachers but my advice is to head over to any of the other Pole studios in Pdx and stay away from the Palace. Aerospace, P&D, and Fig Tree all value their instructors and students. Pole Palace only cares about money. I paid to be part of a Pole Palace showcase, but had to drop out due to illness weeks before, I never got a refund. Aerospace offers discounts for low income and Sw'rs. Portland P&D has discounted memberships for Sw'rs, school teachers and people with low income. Fig Tree also has many discounts and free class opportunities. Other studios have unlimited class memberships. Pole palace is kind of expensive and you will be constantly be required to spend moere money on additional classes if you want to take more than 8 included in the membership Run away from Pole Palace! It has become a toxic environment.

I have been poling for a year and a half and was looking for a new pole studio over the Summer when I decided to reach out to Pole Palace. I felt welcomed and included which really is so important! The community aspect has really helped me in my personal healing and been my rock during turbulent times. All the coaches, Cat in particular, has helped me grow so much as a dancer, and embrace the unique way that my body moves.... no words can really encapsulate all the love and support I have found here!

I've yet to have the experience of utilizing Pole Palace services.
What I'm rating is their customer service.
I booked & placed a deposit for a bachelorette party in October. A series of events took place that made it where the group party needed to be cancelled. It clearly states on their website that deposits are non-refundable, which as a business owner myself, I respect and understand. However, when I contacted Pole Palace & explained what took place, they were helpful and quick to come up with solutions to still be able to utilize the deposit.
In my personal humble opinion, above and beyond customer service is key to having a thriving successful business, and Pole Palace has that down 100!
Friendly, great communication & well looked after.
I ended up paying the full amount for a small group event, with the request (and honored) that I utilize the receipt as a gift card for the bride, that she can use at a later, more convenient day/time.
Thank you all so much for your efforts, and I look forward to meeting and working with you when the bride decides to put her gift to use.

I would have never in a million years thought I would go to a pole studio, let alone be a member. From the first intro class I took, I felt comfortable, safe and encouraged. I'm not a small woman, but I have never once felt out of place or judged.
It seemed at first like the prices were a little high, but the classes are all 90 minutes and fairly small which leads to a lot of individual instruction. Now, it feels like a great deal.
Melissa is an amazing technical teacher and takes the time to break things down and make them understandable so they can be done safely and then artistically. Joshua's classes are just joyous and delightful and although I've only had one class with Kymm so far, it was super challenging and fun. Kat's Stretch and Flex classes are magical torture.
The best thing for me is how amazing the workout is, and how it never actually feels like I'm working out. It's just so much fun. In just a couple of months I've gone from barely being able to participate to doing things that seemed impossible! As long as you go often enough, the progression is obvious and kind of amazing.
