I used to be a regular in the afternoon classes and loved it; now my schedule is all over the place and I go at different times each day. The workouts are the same no matter the time of day, but what is remarkable is that no matter who is coaching or attending class there is a consistent atmosphere at PSC—welcoming, humorous, and full of care. Great gym, and better people.

Nothing but great things to say about this gym! I’m really here for the Barbell Club, and more specifically, Coach Jay. I live across town and drive in just to see and work with him every week, and will continue to do so until my weightlifting career is over. Jay is an incredibly knowledgeable coach, but also just an incredible person. Having a bad lifting day? He will sit down and break it down with you. Having a great lifting day? He will celebrate your accomplishments as if they are his own. I can’t thank you enough for the time and energy you’ve invested in me as an athlete, and I look forward to many more years of working together! Thanks, Jay & PSC.

Welcoming group of folks. Coach Emma was great! Easily the cleanest gym I've seen in my decade or so of CrossFit. My go-to when I'm in Portland from now on for sure.

Such a kind, fun and welcoming community along with better muscle building programming than most group fitness gyms by a large margin.

I absolutely love this gym and its incredible vibe! Quint’s programming is thoughtfully designed and intentional, making every workout both challenging and rewarding. Quint and all the coaches are not only knowledgeable but also super helpful during classes. They go above and beyond to ensure that everyone feels supported, all while keeping the sessions fun and engaging.

As someone who is a bit reserved and sometimes struggles to open up in new environments, I’ve found this gym to be a true breath of fresh air. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, and the people here are genuinely friendly and encouraging. No matter what kind of day you’re having, you can always count on this community to cheer you up.

I’ve even made lifelong friends here, and this gym has truly become my safe space. It’s so much more than just a place to work out—it’s a community that feels like family. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a positive, inclusive, and fun fitness environment!

If you’re looking for an easy workout and a place to just blend in, this is definitely NOT the spot.
The coaches seem almost too passionate about pushing you to your limits—they’re relentless! Just when you think you can’t do another burpee, they somehow convince you to do five more. Don’t expect to coast through anything here; they will hold you accountable every step of the way and you will be stronger for it.

Oh! ... and the members? They're even worse! It’s like everyone has each other's backs, cheering you on when you're dying halfway through a workout, and somehow convincing you to come back the next day—even though every muscle in your body is screaming ‘no.’

And don’t think you can skip a class without someone noticing. They actually notice if you’re not there! The community is ridiculously close-knit, and they will check in on you if you miss a workout. You’re practically guilted into showing up, but in the weirdest way, it works. If you don’t want a supportive environment that’s constantly motivating you, stay far away from this place.

So, if you want a gym where you can disappear in the background and avoid progress, then you should avoid this place at all costs. But if you want results, intense support, a place where people know your name and a group that won’t let you quit… then unfortunately, you might just get hooked here. Enter at your own risk.

This gym is fantastic, I love the programming, coaches and the community. They really take member input seriously and continue to evolve the gym and programming based on that input. It's a good mix of strength and conditioning, Olympic weight lifting, cardio and metcons.

They do free community classes every Saturday, so if you aren't sure it gives you an easy way to find out if this is the place for you. Can't recommend enough!

If you are looking for a great gym I recommend Portland Strength Collective! The trainers here don't focus on just losing weight. That focus on you as a person. They meet you where you are at and will modify the different parts of the workout for you. I have been with these trainers for almost a year and I will be staying with them. I put a before and a 'still working on it picture'. GO Portland Strength Collective!!!!!

Are you a cool person who likes to sweat in group activities with other people who are cool? Do you wanna get really strong, really fast without an emphasis on weight loss that you might find in other gyms? Then Portland Strength Collective is the place for you!

I’ve been training on and off for almost a decade with Quint, so it was a no brainer to join this gym when it opened. Quint’s programming has kept me really strong over the years, even when I had long gaps in my training regimen. I feel very motivated to put in the work because I can see and feel my results in my every day life.

The fact that the gym is member owned is very cool; it is truly a collective with input by all members to make our gym experience one that we enjoy! The gym itself is clean and tidy and has all of the equipment you could ask for with more being added all of the time. The coaches are diverse and are always helpful in making modifications to workouts if you need them.

This is truly a gym for ALL. No matter your age, gender, fitness background, sexuality or cultural background, you will definitely find your gym home here with a solid community.

I can't express how happy and proud I am of the community that came together to make this gym a reality. After losing our previous gym, they rallied together to create something great, and they succeeded. After a stressful day at work, I look forward to the workouts here. I’ve been following Quint’s programming for six years with major success. I've tried five other CrossFit gyms in Portland, but none could match his programming. It doesn't hurt that he’s a wonderful person too. I’m very grateful for this community.

Love this place! The coaches are all welcoming and very experienced, the programming is really well thought-out, space is full of nice equipment, and it’s easy to make friends here. Love that I can take strength and conditioning classes or Olympic weightlifting classes depending on how I am feeling. They’ve been super responsive when I had a question about billing. You can tell they really care about the community. Deciding to join this gym was the easiest decision I’ve made.

This gym is member-led and member-built which makes the community vibe so strong. Everyone is so welcoming. I’ve followed Quint for his coaching for many years now and he remains one of the best. His blend of strength, cardio metcons, and skill building is chef’s kiss. You get general health advantages and technique all in one class.

Member owned and operated strength and functional fitness gym in inner SE PDX. Programming is the best in the city. Workouts are like CrossFit, but not as, you know, extra, and can be scaled for all ages and ability levels. Great people. Great vibe. Strong Spotify playlist. Welcoming atmosphere. Great coaches (Coach Quint - what a character!). Strong community mentality and atmosphere (i.e., pickup soccer games, kickball, beer drinking, birthdays, etc.). They even do Saturday community workouts!

I can’t say enough good things about this gym. Clean facility, new equipment, the coaches are great and some of the best programming I’ve done, but what sets it apart is the community there. It’ll be the best hour of your day and results will follow.
