Here is a little trivia about Club House Road, the road you turn onto off of Powell Butte Hwy. The road is set up like most military roads, curvy. Roads are curved for several reasons such as following a river or a mountain or to go around an object. On military bases the roads are curved to prevent enemy aircraft from lining up on several vehicles or personnel in a row. The pronghorn road is mostly asphalt but it does have bricks crossing the road. These indicate you have traveled 1 mile.

Very disappointed with my recent visit here. Played 09/19 in the afternoon and had to walk off due to extremely slow pace of play - 4 groups backed up on number 12. I’m all for people enjoying themselves on the course but not sure id pay the premium to play here again if reasonable pace of play isn’t a priority for the course.

Played Nicklaus course for the first time, such a great course that makes you think. There’s strategic holes that make you go conservative and others let you go for it. Excellent condition and will return. Get an afternoon tee time if you can for nice evening light. Also a great practice area for short game.

Two of the best courses I've had the privilege of playing. The Fazio course was more forgiving than the Nickalaus course (Jack apparently loves sand traps, narrow landing areas, and greens that have huge collection areas if you're off just a bit). If you walk, you save $40 on each course, but I'd make sure you bring something to clean you clubs/ball with as the ball washers and club cleaners are only on the carts.

Tee times are spaced just 10 minutes apart and no effort by the staff is made to enforce pace of play. We played 9 holes in 3 hours and quit. Staff was apathetic to the pace. Facility is in great shape, but their unwillingness to enforce pace of play standards ruined the experience.

Played few years ago and it was amazing but this time it was a little disappointing. Dropped bags and it took more than 10 mins to get them to the range when we could have gone straight there. Almost no balls on the range once we got started, carts weren't available until hole 2, drink station wasn't open because the poor girl had to leave to restock supplies and a few greens were in terrible condition. Everyone working was nice but didn't seem to have many answers. Very unorganized IMO and definitely not worth $250, $150 maybe.

Course will always be well designed. And was not in bad condition. But this place has gone severely down hill.
- They have one cart girl running all 36 holes.
- Driving Range has serious lack of targets. And there’s no yardage signs.
- not enough room on chipping green for 3 total people to chip.
- Staff was unpleasant or even rude. And admitted privately they’re having budget problems.
- Pro shop was almost empty of product
- carts weren’t well kept, no tees in the cart to begin round.
- Pace of play ran close to 5.5 hours because they’re letting groups out 9 minutes apart.
- No marshals.
- hot dogs cost $15 a pop
Not coming back.

my bucket list place to play, the hardest and saddest review i’ve ever done,Jacks course, facility’s and course design a 10 in every way and ,now for the golf,10 am tee time,i’m a 13.9 GHIN handicap ,i was part of a threesome, the starter let the foursome in front of us hit 2 balls each, there is no out of bounds in this course,a bad sign coming, hit it where it lies he said, and dont worry if you see a snake it’s not a rattlesnake, the course has sand traps everywhere, trust me i rolled into a lot of them, the fairways are cut like most golf courses greens, your driver is useless if you don’t hit it straight, the ball will roll a long way,i hit my 5 wood, averaged 250,normal i hit it 200,now for the worst problem besides the slow play, the greens, the hardest rock hard greens i’ve ever played, pin placement were in the tuffest spots, but wait, the worst thing is you can’t stop your ball on the approach shot because the greens and the fairways are the same, your ball will roll off thru the green and a long way off,13.5 rating,it’s worse than that,i quit keeping score after a few holes, and quit playing after hole ten,not because of the slow play,2:30 min for 10 holes, because it wasn’t fun,and i still had a 7hr drive home and the sting of a $1,000 weekend, this is a hard course for really good players,if you don’t mind gettin your butt kicked go for it,just wish someone had told me,you been warned, good luck

Excellent conditioned course and professional friendly staff. Huge kudos for Andrew staying an extra 10 minutes after closing the pro shop to allow for an apparel purchase. Had an blast playing even though ashes starting dropping heavy the last few holes from a local fire by Mt Bachelor.

Man this place used to be a 5 star all day. Seems like they just keep taking amenities away every time I go. Carts can’t go to the parking lot and they now give you a bag of balls instead of pyramids on the range, no tees on the range. Tee boxes are all starting to slope on Nicolaus and there’s never anyone selling drinks on the course. Someone being squeezed to make a profit?
It would be ok if they would lower the prices for locals and make the Fazio course more accessible but its going the other way.
Brasada, Tetherow & crosswater are all better “bang for your buck” for low handicap players in 2024, IMO.

This place has SO much potential. Unfortunately poor customer service, poor management, and expired food make it impossible to rate highly.
The second star here is for a top notch golf course that is worth playing. Everything else is so below average, it’s laughable they charge what they do.
The clubhouse is tough to find. No one in there cares if you are buying anything so good luck getting help with sizes on your $170 hoodie.
Next, the drink cart finally caught up with us on hole 12. It was over 90 degrees by then. Woulda spent a lot of money on beverages had someone showed up. When we finally got some refreshments, the Twix bars we ordered were hard as a rock. Break a tooth kinda hard. We looked and they had expired in 2023. I think most candy bars have a 2-3 year shelf life so these are from 2021? Or 2020? Disgusting. And it wasn’t just one. We looked at all of them she had in the cart. The Cliff Bar was a month from being expired as well, but I digress.
After this, we had a group of 6-8 people on a tandom pedal bike contraption driving around the golf course. They Couldn’t get up the hills so we had to wait for them to push this contraption up the hill. One errant shot and they’d likely have a lawsuit on their hands. Where’s the Marshall? There’s signs saying golf players only, which, they ignored?
If you love golf, play the course because it’s great golf. Just don’t expect service to go along with the price tag

Great golf course. Terrible service. From the minute we got on property to when we left--NO help whatsoever. We had to walk around just find ANYONE who could point us at the pro shop! It was all down hill from there. Course was not managed from a tee sheet perspective. Pro shop was a bit off putting during check in. Keep in mind how much you are paying and there is NO service whatsoever(did I mention that already?)

The golf course was wide open for booking all day on a Friday in July when the high temp was only 81 - why? Not worth it. Very challenging and beautiful too - but the management is doing NOTHING to make this course playable- especially for women who play the front tees (silver) many of the silver tee boxes are combined with the gold - no family tees at all. Silver is around 5200 but with the other challenges here silver at 4800 would have been more appropriate. The fairway was cut as short as the green - no fluffy loft on your second shots if you had a great drive. The rough just off the fairway was 3-4 inches long - killed every drive that was not perfect and made the second shot an impossible shlug out of a forest of grass. Bottom line - they don’t make it playable and they don’t care if no one plays.

Played 36 at the Nicklaus course with lunch at the restaurant between rounds. This course will test your iron game with tricky green complexes, hidden trouble, plenty of sand and elevated greens. Firm fast conditions that I normally don't see added to the fun. Definitely should be on your list for your next trip to Bend.

Stayed for 4 nights and played 2 rounds on nick and 3 rounds on fazio. Course conditions 10/10, layout 10/10. Really awesome tracks.
It was however, anarchy to try to get a cart, find water for your round, deal with the bachelor parties that are shirtless, shoeless on a 350 a round private course playing a 6 hour pace (good Marshall’s on the nick but no one out of the fazio). By the third day of my trip I was comfortable walking into the garage below the pro shop, grabbing my own waters asking for towels. Really need to have someone directing traffic and helping people out on the back side of the pro shop by the food stand. It was chaos back there.

Beautiful course, challenging layout. Arrived for an 8am tee time, no one at the bag drop or to give directions to pro shop. Pronghorn was really special. Very first class experience overall from the first greeter in the parking lot, to the pro shop staff, to the starter and food service folk.
Definitely an expensive golf course, but very much worth it.
The golf course is both challenging and playable. Green's had plenty of slope with interesting pin locations, without being over the top difficult. Conditioning was excellent, and multiple holes stood out as spectacular.
This is definitely in the top tier of any golf course you will ever play. Very much splitting hairs, only slight negative would be a lack of variety in the length of the par 3 is based on the pin position and t position on the day that I was there.
Already planning my next trip back!

This place has so much potential. We’ve come many times but each time it’s drifts a little further away. Food is a challenge. Speed of service is a challenge. Before they had bikes for rent but we didn’t see those this time and ended up driving in to Bend for most of this trip. This is a beautiful spot but I wish it was a little more put together and maybe managed a bit better. It’s expensive and we desire the best experience. We have not had that the last few times. A 4 star place it is not but the prices are, the young folks that work there were great , What would really help making it a 3-4 star is start taking some of them to a real 4 star,so they can see and feel it! no uniform dress code most were in jeans and a Pronghorn shirt, while enjoying a meal the conversation between workers was way to loud and at time inappropriate, no room service at this time, the food was ok,
There's not a lot to do there except golf, yes they rent bikes, much of the kids stuff wasn't complete, The Rooms were ok, better cleaning would help,
We added a kitchen which was very nice to have, you would think when your room is cleaned they would see you also have a kitchen and would clean it also. I think a directory pamphlet would really help in each room, A snack shop would really be nice, Your 30 miles or so from any stores if you get a room with a kitchen it has all the things you need to handle all your meals except food. Overall It could be a Fantastic place! I hope with time it will be.
