Terrific studio. I joined two years ago as an adult student. Mr. Reason is able to accommodate and include multiple levels of experience and athleticism. He knows how to set goals that match the particular student's needs and abilities & maintains an atmosphere of friendliness and respect.

My 10 year old daughter joined this taekwondo school after doing taekwondo in another state. We were very happy to find Randy Reason’s classes! The classes are small and a real effort is made to make each class unique, challenging, and fun. I appreciate that my daughter is encouraged to practice black belt character qualities and is recognized for getting “good deed” sheets completed by her family, teachers, etc. to bring back to class. My daughter’s skills and behavior have improved, as has her appreciation for taekwondo, at this school.

I took my niece here and even those she was scared and intimidated by the possibility of being the only girl reason was really awesome and it turned out she would not be the only girl that was really cool to see how patient and understanding he was with her and her anxiety

My 10yr old boy has been going to Mr Reason's class for just over 2 years. Mr Reason has adapted quickly to being a Taekwondo teacher for young kids. He made it through Covid and even expanded his classes a lot. He teaches the kids respect and discipline (thought in my eyes he could be a little more assertive with that aspect). I sit and watch most every class and if my kids become to troublesome I make the stay after and apologize. Some parents drop their kids off and wait in the parking lot which is totally fine and I've done every now and then. But with not being there to watch how their kids behave, some kids take advantage of this knowing that Mr Reason isn't there to discipline them as a parent. Also, there is safe sparing practice (with or without gear) and they learn different kicks, blocks, punches, and combo moves. But the best, most important thing I like about Mr Reason, is that he doesn't just hand out belts based on how much money you spend or how long you've been there. You have to pass each test to actually earn the next belt, if you fail he will tell you what you need to work on and take another test when he feels you are ready. I've seen many other places where they just hand out a new belt every few months without even testing for it. Mr Reason really cares about everyone in his classes and remembers everyone by name. He even offers 2 free classes incase you wanna try it out, so feel free to come check him out.

I am thoroughly pleased with the instruction that I received at Reason Taekwondo. Before I moved to Eugene, OR, I searched for a local dojang that was similar to the training that I had become accustomed to at other gyms. When I found one, I thought that it was decent enough. However, with each passing week, I loathed having to train there. After the awareness of the coronavirus and subsequent quarantine, I became certain that I would not return. I did not want to abandon my training; so when it was deemed safer to meet in-person with guidelines, I researched gyms. Reason Taekwondo is where I chose to train. The instructor is knowledgeable, provides rigorous warm-ups, and is professional. My 120 mile round-trip was worth the drive.
