Revd offers such a good combination of workouts between reformer pilates and spin. The coaches are great, the classes always challenging and the people make it a true community.

Rev'd Portland isn’t just a place for a killer, heart-pounding, sweat-inducing workout—it’s an amazing community where people show up for each other, offering support, encouragement, and genuine celebration for every accomplishment. That spirit is a direct reflection of the owner, Kirstie, and the incredible team of trainers and operations staff she’s brought together.

The moment I walk through the door, Kirstie and her team welcome me with a smile and an energy that instantly lifts me up and gets me ready for class. They know your name, genuinely care about how you’re doing, and make you feel like part of the Rev'd family.

The cycling classes are insane—in the best way. They’re rhythm-based with just the right amount of choreography mixed in. Before joining Rev'd, I had never taken a spin class in my life, and now I ride 5–6 times a week. It’s a killer workout, but it’s the instructors and the community of riders that keep me coming back. You get to know each other by name, become friends, exchange high-fives, and push one another to go a little harder. I’ve never experienced this level of community at any gym before.

I also have a dual membership and take Powerhouse, their reformer Pilates classes. I used to bounce between different studios in Portland, but now I can get both my cardio and strength training in one place. Powerhouse sessions are challenging in the best way: deep core work, long slow burns, and those sneaky pulses that light up muscles you didn’t even know you had. The instructors are incredibly supportive, offering clear cues and contagious positivity that keep you pushing through every rep.

Together, cycling + Powerhouse create the ultimate fitness combo—intense cardio, killer strength training, and a community vibe that makes you actually excited to come back. Rev’d isn’t just a workout; it’s an experience, and one that leaves you feeling strong, empowered, and totally hooked. I’m so grateful to have found Rev'd and to be part of the family.

I absolutely love the team at Rev’d! They are so welcoming and encouraging! They knew my name after like the second time being there, it was wild. The workouts are so so good and instructors are super helpful with form during Pilates. I love the powerhouse and cycling classes, both are a super charged workout for the 45 mins you have. It’s such a vibe and community here at Rev’d.

I really enjoyed going to Rev’d when I first joined. The classes and instructors were great, and the overall experience was positive. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been frustrating.

Rev’d is increasing their prices significantly. While I understand that the original rates may have been introductory, the new prices are double or even triple what I was paying before, which makes continuing my membership unaffordable.

The bigger issue is the lack of responsiveness in trying to cancel my membership. For the past two weeks, I have experienced multiple website errors when attempting to cancel online. I have also reached out through both email and text, which are the only contact options provided, and have not received any replies.

Under ORS 646A.295, businesses that offer automatic renewals are required to provide a simple and accessible way to cancel. Rev’d's current process does not meet this standard. I hope they improve their customer service and make membership management more transparent and user-friendly in the future.

Every time I visit Portland this is where I want to get my workout done. They’re so encouraging, friendly, and passionate about a workout that is going to make you leave feeling better than when you came in. The music and low lights let you focus on yourself without distractions of others. They truly are a community!

Eight months ago I’d never cycled. Now, I bike 3-4 times a week. After injuries limited my running, I’m glad to find a cardio routine that’s easier on my body. I recommend trying it out!

I zone out during cardio and cycling in a dark room with music is meditative (loud, but they can provide earplugs). I felt a bit silly at first doing “choreography”, which is 15-ish riding movements in various combinations, but it adds variation and now it adds tempo. You can just ride along normally too.

The facility is clean with a positive vibe. You control your own resistance, so the difficulty is up to you. It’s very individual without as much of a competitive trend as other studio class formats.

Also, I was AMAZED how wearing ridged clip-in bike shoes shifted my weight backward on the pedals…so, if you’ve never worn them, it’s worth feeling how it’s different from a flat bike pedal.

Let’s see…complaints I’m reading are: 1) Strobe lights. They’re rarely used, but you can ask. 2) Membership/gifted auto-renewal. Yes, like every gym membership ever it will auto-renew if you don’t cancel. 3) I’m 6’2” and have no problem with the bikes but there are two types and I prefer the screw-downs. 4) Check-in never takes more than 90 seconds. 5) The 2lbs weights are harder than you think, believe me, but if you need more weight grab another set.

They also have a Pilates studio, but that’s not my jam.

I do wish they’d adjust the cancellation fee to be more forgiving if the class isn’t full, but that’s my only technical gripe with their system.

It was one of the best and most intense indoor cycling classes I have ever attended.
I live in Seattle and have a SoulCycle membership. I have to travel to PDX for work at least once per month, so I was looking for a place to keep my routine, and I’m so glad I found this place. Friendly staff, nice playlist, good equipment, and please keep the light features! My class with Kendall was fun and intense! I'll definitely come back.

My fiancé and I had a BLAST! The energy was so high and the studio was amazing. We went for the happy hour ride and had a good time socializing with the rev'd community after our workout. Stoked to try their new powerhouse modality

This is by far one of the best cycling studios I have been to. The energy of the staff and the classes are upbeat, energetic, and fun. This studio offers a unique experience that cannot be compared to other chain cycling studios that have been around for a while. I truly believe every visitor is valued and seen here - Kirstie and the team have done a great job establishing this new location I promise you will not be disappointed when you try this studio. It took me a few visits to get used to the movements and rhythms, but once you get used to them, these classes are a BLAST!

Revd and the whole Revd team is amazing. I was nervous to go to a workout class and to try cycling, but it has been nothing but rewarding. I've loved connecting more with the instructors and learning how to cycle. After reading some of the reviews, I can assure any new people coming that the studio is an upbeat and safe place to further your fitness goals. Every instructor genuinely wants you to succeed and I've only felt valued as a customer. I'm 100% sure that the complaints listed in the reviews could have been easily fixed with some communication with the staff. It's important to remember that Revd is a new studio and comparing aspects of the studio to SoulCycle is unfair, as SoulCycle has a different class structure, aesthetic, and is an extremely established organization. Kirstie and the rest of the team work hard to ensure all athletes have a great experience. I hope people who have had negative experiences communicated in-person with Kirstie and can give some grace to a new business designed to make fitness fun and accessible.

This is where the party is at y’all! This is the pearl districts best spin studio and they’re adding a Pilates adjacent strength training workout sometime soon as well!! Looking for a challenging workout? This is it.

My boyfriend got me a month membership for Christmas. I attended one class and not only was it pitch black in there, but I was not explicitly informed that there would be any severe strobe light effects. I have epilepsy and was terrified the entire time. Not only that, but it was disorienting and I ended up hurting myself. I couldn’t get off the bike and leave because 1) I didn’t know how to unclick the shoes from the bike, and 2) it was THAT dark and strobed.

Additionally, I didn’t realize the membership would automatically renew on my card since the membership was a gift. I did not sign any contract nor was given any explicit terms or agreements in person when they asked for my card to rent the shoes.

When I emailed to cancel and refund, the refund was declined. I’ve only been to one class and I’ll never go again. They’re operating super shady here.

I’ve done a handful of classes at Rev’d Portland (only because I don’t live in Portland) and I have loved every single class I’ve taken.
Let me be clear, if I lived in Portland, I would have a membership and I’d be going to several classes a week.
Check in is always fast, friendly, and efficient. I can show up, check in, change, and be on my bike clipped in, within 2-3 minutes.
The spin room itself is spacious, very clean, and easy to get around. When the lights are low, I can easily make my way round the room to my bike. I always have ample space around the bike I use.
I find the bikes they use to be totally easy to use, adjust, and ride. I feel very comfortable riding them, and I’m glad that Rev’d uses these bikes.
Every instructor I’ve had has amazing energy, vibes, and talent as a spin instructor. I received a shout out as a new rider on my first ride, and that made it feel even more personal.
The studio is brand new, and they’re doing great. I’m really looking forward to coming back to Rev’d Portland when I’m in the city next. Wishing everyone at Rev’d infinite success in 2025, and beyond.

I wanted to like this more than I did, and I am very bummed about it. To be clear, the instructor Dylan was great - good music, great instruction, and he clearly knew what he was doing. He rode the hell out of the class. But this studio isn't ready to be taken seriously.

1. The sample bike in the lobby is NOT the bike you'll be riding in class. The class is filled with bikes that have each joint (height, handlebars) secured with a hard-to-finesse and likely unstable locking mechanism. There is a reason SoulCycle tried deploying these bikes, and quickly reversed course to traditional bikes with screw joints. If SoulCycle stopped using these bikes, you'll find out why at Rev'd. Because of the loose joints, the bikes are an unstable foundation for any tricep or push-up work. This is a very real reason not to return and a self-inflicted injury on a studio Portland desperately needed.

2. Rev'd does not have extended handlebars for these bikes. Extended handlebars are needed if you're over 6'-6'2". The front desk had no idea these even existed! As someone who has done indoor cycling for years, I can assure you, yes, these exist. It's unsafe for your lower back to do the type of upper body work in this class if you're over-extending due to handlebars that are too low. Tall beginners should take extra caution because it's easy to pull a muscle because the equipment isn't right. This frankly is also reason enough to never come back.

3. There's not enough staff to check in a class of 10x, let alone a full class of 32x, which this studio is not yet pulling. As I mentioned, each bike has two finicky joints that if you don't get completely and entirely right, will make your entire 45-minute ride unstable. There was only one person available to help, and in the dark without a flashlight. There's a reason SoulCycle has 2x studio members stationed in-studio during check-in, and there's a reason why they have red flashlights so they can see what they're actually doing.

4. The lighting in the studio is poorly implemented at best and dangerous at worst. First, there's no 10% ambient low-level lighting, so when the lights are off, it's pitch black. Flat out, this is dangerous. All other fitness studios have some version of ambient light. Second, there's a ton of (bad, inadequate, unnecessary) strobe light effects used throughout class, so if you have any sensitivity to that, you should be aware. Third, there's no emergency exit sign inside the studio, which I'm certain is a violation of fire code.

5. For the weights section of class, they only had 2-lb weights for everyone. No additional options! What a joke.

For a class and brand that is a cheap copy of SoulCycle (sans-serif fonts, CB2 furniture and white matte paint/sealed cement)... you get what you pay for.

There's a reason they're giving classes away. You can get a month of unlimited riding here for the price of a single Barry's class around the corner, but you might hurt yourself.

Hoping management sees this review before they tank their business. The Pearl desperately needs a good spin studio and instructors like Dylan, but this isn't the place yet.

Had an amazing experience at Rev’d! It was my first time indoor cycling and the staff were super friendly. They showed me everything I needed to know about the bikes and the shoes (they also have shoe rentals). The energy in the room was crazy!
