Roll Ups is such a delightful and welcoming studio. I appreciate the variety of class types and later evening offerings. I particularly recommend Sharon and Kortni’s classes if you enjoy a contemporary style of Pilates.

I decided to try a few classes before I committed to any type of membership or package. It’s conveniently located close to my apt and after passing by I saw what a beautiful studio it was so decided to give it a try. I’ve done reformer before but it’s been years but knew I could handle a signature class. The first instructor Sharon (?) was delightful. She spoke quickly but was extremely patient and warm. The second class was more rigorous and challenging. The instructor was also lovely although when I was having slight difficulty with placement on my foot bar, she came to intervene. She urgently told me I needed grip socks and rushed to get them in the middle of class. I was confused thinking they had a special reusable sock that people use. Before I knew it, she was handing me a pair of new socks to put on. Hastily I felt obliged to comply all the while thinking (did I just get coerced into inadvertently buying these very thin, not necessary socks? 🤔) Sure enough, at the end of class, I was told I would be charged $5 for the pair I accepted. I replied “really?!” The money isn’t the issue. It was the way it was handled that turned me off. Like I didn’t have a choice. I was perfectly fine with my own socks and felt the instructor was upselling me into something I didn’t actually need. Now I have these very thin socks that I most likely won’t wear again. The whole encounter left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m not completely writing this studio off and may go again but wanted to share my experience.

Went with a friend and absolutely adored it. The instructor was incredibly detailed and made me feel comfortable for a pilates newbie. Space is beautiful too, and everyone was really friendly and chill.

I wish I could give 100 stars! I'm obsessed with Roll Ups. I'm new to Pilates and had always felt intimidated by a culture and practice that seemed both inaccessible and beyond my physical capabilities. But Elizabeth has created a space that completely shattered those preconceived notions. From the beautiful, welcoming environment to the intentional classes with supportive guidance every step of the way, I leave each session feeling stronger—mentally, physically, and emotionally. I truly can't say enough good things about Roll Ups and have been telling just about anyone who will listen. If you've been curious about trying Pilates but aren't sure where to start, Roll Ups is it!

This is THEE place for reformer/mat pilates in Portland, OR.
I took my first private class from Elizabeth in 2022 in her home studio. This was my first exposure to reformer pilates, and she planted a major seed for me!
For as long as I can remember, her dream was to open a studio. At Roll Ups, Elizabeth has gone on to curate the most beautiful space, and remains a complete natural in her approach to teaching. Exceedingly gifted and intuitive.
BRAVA!

Roll Ups is the best pilates studio in Portland! The space is so inviting and inspiring and Elizabeth really knows what she is doing. I'm 8 months pregnant and have had a hard time finding work out classes that are supportive while still having a good workout and finally found the perfect fit! Best addition to the neighborhood, so grateful to be able to move my body in such a beautiful space!

The ABSOLUTE best Pilates experience I have had! I took both a mat and a reformer class and LOVED them both. Elizabeth is kind and is so good at leading while still giving adjustments and pointers. Her classes are tough but she is so encouraging. The space is gorgeous and bright. It feels cozy and welcoming. After two classes, I know I will be coming back for me. This is an immediate favorite for me and I cannot wait to continue my Pilates journey at Roll Ups 🫶🏽

Absolutely love this studio! Beautiful space, and Elizabeth is a fantastic instructor. For someone who had never tried Reformer Pilates before (and was always intimidated to do so), she made it approachable and fun to learn. Mat classes are also amazing! Highly recommend, I’ve already booked a few more classes :)

roll ups is truly such a gem—exactly what our community needed! It’s an unpretentious movement space that’s beautiful, clean, and has 10/10 instructors. I’ve had such a hard time finding somewhere in Portland to move my body that checks every box, and THIS IS IT!!!! I love the accessibility of the membership or class pack options. If you’re on the fence, just try it you won’t regret it. My abs are still sore :)

Had the absolute pleasure of attending my first-ever Reformer Pilates class here, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Elizabeth was so welcoming and supportive throughout the class. On top of that, the studio she has created is absolutely stunning! 10/10, I’ll definitely be coming back!

The cutest Pilates studio in all of Portland, perfect location in the Kerns neighborhood. Finding parking is super easy, I would recommend getting there 10 minutes earlier so you can settle in before class and make sure you get parking (especially if you’re taking class when Duality is operating). They offer reformer and mar Pilates. I’d recommend this for anyone, beginner or advanced. There’s plenty of options for all levels and a lot of variety in class. It’s a welcoming, non-intimidating vibe. This studio makes me understand the Pilates hype, everything from studio layout to class structure feels more methodical than a chain (like Club Pilates)
