I've struggled with lower back pain well over 20 years and decided to hire a personal trainer to help me prepare for a hiking vacation. My initial goals were that I didn't want to be miserable or have to get rescued due to my bad lower back.
Steve worked with me and took the time to understand what was going on with my lower back pain and designed a personalized plan specifically for my needs. I had a wonderful pain-free lower back hiking vacation, but the story continues.
With Steve's guidance and training, I've been able to return to the other activities that I love. I returned to martial arts this past year and recently returned from a surfing intensive 7-day (surfing 3 hours per day) vacation with absolutely no back issues!
I absolutely recommend Steve as a personal trainer. He designed a thoughtful, progressive strength program that gave me back the confidence I need for my body, and I am incredibly grateful.

I have been a client with Steven for well over a year.
In that time he has helped rebuild my strength after an injury left me with a weak leg and has helped me regain mobility and balance I had begun to lose in my 40’s.
He keeps incredible records so I can see not only the improvements in my body but also in the spreadsheet of my gains he keeps.
My health has improved as well and my resting heart rate is decreasing to a more normal level.

Steve is super knowledgeable and listens to your needs. I came with some sudden health issues and needed a lot of modifications / customization. He listened to what was going on with me and worked with my needs specifically. Plus he’s so great to talk to and is super supportive and encouraging. He truly emits joy and becomes fast friends with those around him. If I didn’t move away, I would still be working with him! Honestly- I wish he moved to where I am (but his new gym IS super cute)! Steve is so great! I have trained with him weekly for the past three months. I am a full-time working mom with a 1 year old and he has been super understanding and accommodating of my schedule. He has challenged me, but also offers modifications where needed (I have tenosynovitis in one hand). He offers a lot of variety from one workout to the next which keeps it interesting and fun. I've been training with Steve for almost 3 months now. I came to him as a distance runner with no upper body strength and, while consistently active, had been doing the same, repetitive running motions for the last 8 years. I was looking for someone to help me with improved posture, more definition, a variety of movements, and to get faster. It feels like seeing Steve is a workout cheat code - I make enough decisions in my day-to-day work, I love just showing up and someone having an efficient workout ready. And as an engineer, I really appreciate Steve's ability to describe the hows and whys of different exercises and understand the mechanics of what we are trying to accomplish. I know I would be way less efficient and motivated to workout at a gym solo. I'm definitely seeing the gains - every week I get a new PB lifting, every race I get a new PR. Been training with Steven for nearly 7 years now. His knowledge of body mechanics is impressive. He has not only helped me training for many goals including summiting Mt. Haleakala on a bicycle but he has also trained my 70+ year old mom for years. He is highly adaptable to individual goals and needs. This guy is an absolute beast. He knows his stuff REALLY WELL. I have been with this guy for only 3 weeks and I already see 4+ inches added to my vertical, I’m way more lean, WAY more consistent with eating right (he is very knowledgeable about foods and what fits best for who), and by the way I went from not squatting at all to doing 225 lbs. I also went from doing 150 on bench to also 225. He’s got plenty of awesome tricks and tips to help you reach any goals. I’m so glad I found Trainer Steve. I came in hoping to just rehab my knee, but I’ve gained so much more. Each workout is tailored to my specific needs on that day. Sometimes it’s range of motion, sometimes it’s cardio and weights, and sometimes it’s stretching and nutrition advice. In 3 short months I’m a much healthier version of myself. I HIGHLY recommend Stick-To-It Fit.... yes that’s right!! I was gaining a lot of fat quickly and didn’t know what to do. I found Stephen on craigslist and felt like the universe answered my call cause whatever he posted in the ad were all the things I was looking for. My goal was to have a ripped muscular body and the results I am seeing now are spectacular. I love my body even more now and love to see those abs.

I rarely take the time to post reviews. I wanted to take it upon myself to give Steve the credit he deserves. Before working out with Steve, I made the committment to train for perhaps a lifelong career as a U.S. Army officer. I was a wiry 5'9 barely weighing in at 135 pounds. Always the runner, I had never taken strength training seriously. After training with Steve for nearly a year--I'll be honest--my weight hasn't fluctuated much and I still look like the same wiry kid under my clothes. That said, I'm able to perform 100+ push-ups and sit-ups in under two minutes and complete a 15-mile hike carrying a ruck sack half my body weight (hooah). Steve got me Army strong, and he wasn't even in the service. Above all, he has been a great health & fitness mentor, providing me insights into physical training and nutrition. As the tired saying goes, if I'm doing it, you can, too. So get after it.
