At Studio 45 every workout is fun, effective and efficient. The Studio 45 method is pilates-based, centered on high-intensity, low-impact movements. In classes of 11 people or less, we focus on giving you the most efficient workout possible in 45-minutes.
Our unique workout caters to a wide range of fitness levels. From beginners to advanced, you will always end class feeling successful and accomplished. Our classes are challenging, our instructors and members are the most welcoming you’ll find, and we guarantee you’ll see and feel transformation in your body in as little as 5 sessions.

I did the two-week trial and honestly loved it. I’m definitely planning to sign up for more classes. My instructor, Melissa, is so warm, welcoming, and supportive.
I was a little nervous at first since I’ve never taken a class like this and wasn’t sure if I’d feel out of place or be pushed too hard. But it was the total opposite. Every class let me go at my own pace, I could feel myself getting stronger, and I learned how to use muscles I didn’t even know I had.
Such a great experience overall, I’d definitely recommend trying it!

I originally gave this class a try thinking it was like pilates...wow, was I wrong! Lagree has some similarities to pilates, but it is much, much more challenging in my opinion. As someone who is trying to get back in shape and build muscle, this is perfect for me. I really like how difficult the classes are, and how they work out your whole body. I leave every class sweating but feeling like I accomplished something. Definitely recommend!

I took over 400 classes under the previous ownership before taking an extended break. Sadly, with the change in ownership, this place just isn't what it used to be. What used to be intimate classes with enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and engaged instructors now felt very bland and inpersonal.
I was always impressed by how well trained and knowledgeable each instructor was about the machine and how to accommodate every class attendees' unique physical needs; now it's very clear who was trained under the former owner and not. I've not been impressed with studio 45 trained coaches.
I love Legree, but sadly, studio 45 is no longer for me.

Pretty sure this is the hardest class I’ve ever done…. In the best way. I’ve tried other Pilates classes, and I never really felt like I was getting a good full body workout. But here I am sweating and shaking within minutes. All of the instructors have been super nice and helpful in correction and modifications. It only took 1 class and I booked a membership! It might be hard, but it’s definitely going to help build strength and that’s exactly what I was looking for!

Hands down the BEST Pilates style and instructor ever!
Melissa is an absolute powerhouse — inspirational, ass-kicking, and so much fun. Within 15 minutes of my very first class, I was already hooked on her style and completely in love with Studio 45’s Pilates. I had never taken a Pilates class before, but Studio 45’s method is my bible now! 🙏
Her classes are challenging in the best way possible — exactly what you want when you're there to push your limits and get stronger. Melissa’s energy is unmatched, her coaching is spot-on, and her music playlist? Total fire🔥. Every class feels like a full-body reset and a party.

I signed up for 2 weeks unlimited with full intention and excitement to get into this.
I'm no stranger to working out and regularly use the rock climbing gym. But I only took one class because I woke up in pain the next day (and not the good kind) I could barley hear instructions over the loud music even though she was using a microphone and was told to follow the people next to me, I felt very lost and the instructor told me in the beginning she'd be watching and helping me modify but none of the modifications felt good and again it was hard to speak up with the noise level. By the end my lower back was hurting in the final exercises and I had to give up, she said my muscles were just weak and would get better as I built them.
So I signed up for the next day, but in the morning when I awoke I could barely move.
I ended up having to cancel (incurring another fee) so for 1 class in 2 weeks I paid $110.

Just finished my 5th class at Studio 45 and i always leave feeling like i got the best full body workout in. If you love Lagree you’ll love this studio. It’s smaller but spacious, well decorated and very nicely organized. Smaller class sizes are nice so that the instructors can really focus on helping you when you need it.

I appreciate Studio 45 for offering free community classes—it’s a generous way to introduce people to Lagree, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to try it. The space was clean and well-designed, but I didn’t necessarily feel welcomed. The instructor greeted others first—likely friends or regulars—which is understandable, but as someone with a plus-size body, I couldn’t help but feel a bit like an outsider. During class, cues were hard to follow, especially for a room that seemed full of beginners. I wish there had been more attention to form corrections or support, as I often rely on that to feel confident and safe in a new workout. Lagree may not be the best fit for me personally, but I respect the method and hope the studio continues creating more inclusive and beginner-friendly space :)!

Update: I’ve done over 120 classes and could not be happier with my experience! I feel stronger and honestly look forward to these consistently challenging and changing workouts led by some fantastic women. It’s so worth it to switch to their in-house booking system, as you can book the whole month at once and there seem to be more spaces available and across all studios! Melissa is still my girl, but don’t pass up on classes with Ashley H, Caitlin K, or Kim B (when she is there) either, but come prepared for the burn! Jacky N has such a chill but upbeat personality and is exactly how I want to start my weekend! Also, I got my wish with the opening of their third Oregon studio in LO!
Original: Amazing experience at Studio 45. There is a learning curve with the reformer but you’re in good hands and not alone. This class can be as easy or as challenging as you make it, but the standard class (with regular settings) is a great workout. Melissa L is one of my favorite instructors I’ve ever had any fitness class with anywhere! She’s extremely helpful and attentive if you’re unsure, gives great modifications and corrections, and has lovely transitions that flow from one exercise to the next. I like her playlists and her energy—she always encourages you to overcome your mental blocks and find your strength to push through. I’m addicted to this class and wish there were more locations!

I’m addicted and can’t stop. Moved out to Hillsboro and had a hard time finding a good Pilates studio (had been going to a chain and was sorely disappointed). I went to one Studio 45 class out in Tanasbourne last fall after the recommendation of my colleague. Now I can’t stop going! Absolutely love Studio 45! I was worried I couldn’t keep up since I have chronic lower back pain and I know Lagree is intense but the instructors at the Tanasbourne location was so helpful. Helped me through the whole class. I haven’t felt this good for a long time. Highly recommend giving this place a try. They do have intro offers so take advantage of it to try out the class. I have only been to 6 classes so far with 5 different instructors. While they are all great…I really recommend a class with either Kira or Amanda!
I haven’t been able to get back to my strength pre-pregnancy; Kira made me feel comfortable and provided modifications that I can do while still feeling the burn.
Today was my 6th class but first session with Amanda. I will say that I left that class feeling invigorated. She motivates the class in an authentic way and she has such a great vibe. Her class was difficult but I was motivated to show up and push through… for myself.

Wow I really love this place! I discovered it on ClassPass and I’ll admit the cost of a membership here was daunting at first, but there really is no other workout like it. I have chronic abdominal pain and that has improved since starting these deep core workouts. I’m a physical therapist assistant and I’ve tried it all…this place is really special! The pace is great- not too fast, not too slow, changes happen just in time for you to stay really engaged and not get too bored or exhausted in each move. I had trouble hearing a few times with the high ceilings causing some acoustic echo but this last class the sound really improved. The music is nice but in this type of workout with quick changes and nuances cueing you really need to hear the instructor’s voice.

Having not worked out in two years and being 14 weeks out of shoulder surgery, I was very nervous about taking my first class. So nervous that I laid awake all night pondering all the things that could go wrong. (Falling off the machine and snapping my newly anchored bicep tendon were my worst-case scenarios.)
From the moment I walked in the studio I realized my fears were unfounded. The Megaformer was not as intimidating as it sounds. I was able to watch the last 15 minutes of the class before mine which really helped because I got a feel for what I was getting myself into. Melissa was very friendly, understanding of my limitations and did an excellent job setting me up with modifications. She was also very attentive during the session and helped me correct my form.
The workout was challenging but so much fun. I used muscles that I forgot existed. I feel wonderful! I took advantage of the one-month unlimited pass for new clients and plan to use it to the fullest. I hope my experience with the other instructors is as pleasant as my first. I recently moved to the area and Studio45 was the first time I had ever tried Pilates. The “you see a difference in as little as 5 classes” is no joke! I’m hooked! I was out of shape and out of practice and needed something to help me reset, reenergize and get back to feeling confident and strong. I was unfamiliar with lagree but had been seeking out reformer pilates in the area. I love that I can break a sweat and get a great full body workout in just 45 minutes! The first class was challenging but doable and by the third I was able to understand the queues and recognize the names of the moves. I’ve just completed my fifth class and already can’t wait for my sixth! My body is starting to crave the movements and the shakes and I can feel myself getting stronger after each class. I love that it targets all areas of the body, but the sequences are different each time so it doesn’t feel repetitive. And I love the instructors I’ve tried so far! They’ve been friendly and welcoming, and have offered some great tips for starting out and ways to modify as needed. They’re inspiring and motivating, but also very supportive and understanding that everyone’s bodies and fitness levels are different. I absolutely love the studio space! It is open, bright and clean and I love that the class sizes are small so it never feels stuffy or crowded, but more intimate and exclusive. Even more, I love that there isn’t a front office and no pushy sales reps trying to upsell you. In fact, the whole process for trying and buying classes has been seamless in comparison to other fitness studios. Everything is done online and is so easy! The intro special was so great to be able to try it out a few times before deciding if it’s right for me. I love lagree and I love Studio45!

I started going to this Studio through Classpass and I love it! It's low impact, but pretty strenuous on whatever muscle groups you're targeting so I get a nice post-workout soreness the next day!
My favorite instructors are Caitlin and Kira. They both do a great job in describing each move thoroughly, and also will correct your posture to ensure you're getting the most out of your workout.

I drove past MegaBurn everyday day to/from work but felt too nervous to go in. I wasn’t in great shape, had some serious body shame, and didn’t think I would fit in. But one day I found the courage and finally signed up for a class. And it has been LIFE CHANGING. I realize people say that a lot but this place has given me a new outlook on life. The strong, amazing, compassionate women who teach here make you feel like family from the start. They genuinely want you to reach your goals without any attempt at up-sells like you’ll find at other places. The music is poppin’, every class is well planned out and if you have any injuries they alter the moves for you. BEST workout in town! The trainers here are SO kind and badass. They are also very flexible with making accommodations or correcting your posture/form, which helps prevent injuries. Wow, that’s about all I can say. I am an avid crossfitter and coach as well as a sports chiropractor, and can’t say enough great things about this studio. They have some of the best instructors on the west side, all of which are very well educated on each movement and how to maximize your full potential for each workout. Even with my intense training, I always leave MegaBurn scorched, but love that it is easy on my joints and focuses on full range of motion as well as stability.
If you are looking to either get back into exercise or elevate your fitness game, you absolutely need to be here.

I can’t get enough of this place! I started coming a little over a year ago and I’ve been hooked since day 1. The classes are some of the hardest workouts I’ve ever done but it’s so rewarding. They also have the best instructors. Each one takes the time to get to know you and they all check in with you before, during, and after class. I have fallen in love with the "slow burn" that the mega-former provides while at the same time being low-impact on your joints. Background: 1. I am not good at this workout (or really any workout) in anyway, nor am I in good shape. Needless to say, I sweated like Homer Simpson in a doughnut shop. 2. I am easily intimidated by places where I can't hide and make a clean escape. 3. Continuation of the last point, I'm very intimidated by workouts where everyone is SEEMINGLY in amazing shape and doesn't easily turn to an anxiety-ridden version of Flubber.
With all of that said the babes at Megaburn are insanely kind, they help but don't pressure, they are tough but caring, and they are simply amazing. I may have been shaking for hours after but that is great with me. The workout is so amazing---its very hard, but the support is right there when you need it most! That's one thing I love is the size of the class---10 people max! So you basically are getting personal training by the wonderful Ellie & Carolynn. These 2 strong women have created an atmosphere of loving kindness, "don't hold back", "you can do it" sweat pouring workout! These are my kind of girls! MegaBurn is hands down the best gym in Portland! Carolynn and Ellie are passionate about what they do, and it shows. They provide individualized instruction to all clients, and are always providing extra support to clients with injuries. The studio is beautiful, and they have the newer generation megaformer, which makes the workout even better! If you have not tried MegaBurn already, it is a must! You will not be disappointed!

I love Megaburn! The classes and instructors are amazing and highly encouraging. I recommend this gym to anyone looking for a new studio or new type of workout. Carolynn & Ellie know how to challenge you in each class while keeping you motivated through every hard move. The studio is bright and beautifully decorated. I can not say enough good things about these 2 woman and their amazing gym!

This workout is like no other. The Megaformer machine allows the instructors to create seamless routines that leave your muscles shaking after 45 minutes. It's absolutely the most efficient way to get into shape, and the team at MegaBurn is encouraging, welcoming of newcomers, and just all around awesome. Love it!

I can't begin to explain how amazing this place is! The quality of workout achieved with the Megaformer is mind boggling. Ellie is so positive and motivating, I was able to push myself harder than I thought possible. The shaking muscles speak for themselves. It's an awesome way to tone up fast and get a smoking hot core!!! I'll be back soon!!
