Stopped here on a family vacation trip, really great gym, definitely glad I did and will return again next time in Bend.
Super friendly and welcoming staff! The setting in particular was a real treat, unusually imaginative and engaging even in the low-middle grades where it's sometimes hard to avoid setting 'ladders'. Had a fun couple of hours working out some deliciously devious beta! Many thanks for a great visit!

Talk about highway robbery. My husband and I were excited to get our kids into climbing. For 2 kids (24 months old and 3.5 yr old) itβs $24 per EACH child. Then $22 per adult. $92 total for the day. This is just for bouldering. Itβs a total joke.

First time visiting, super friendly and helpful staff. Nathan made a great first impression, awesome separate space for a few 4-6 year olds to gain confidence and have fun without bothering more experienced climbers, and they even had a handful of beers on tap. Definitely recommend a visit, I know weβll be back

Super friendly staff and a good schedule for new routes. A great gym for grabbing a post climb beer as well.
The staff is responsive to safety concerns when kids are running around unsupervised.

This gym has it all! Entertaining and friendly staff, routes that make you question your purpose, and the bar is phenomenal (when they have the grazing goat #Spidercitay).
I also love the fact that there arenβt unsupervised kids screaming and running around all the time. Sometimes at other gyms Iβm afraid of falling on a child after attempting to flash a fresh V2, but not here. This place is different. We come to this place for magic!!!

Visited the Circuit from Ohioβlove this gym. Great climbs with a full range of bouldering styles and holds. The walls are spaced well with ample new routes every week. Plus, the draft list and ping pong table add to the already-welcoming atmosphere.
Only one additional remark: the grading from v3 upwards (especially the v5-v7 range) feels softer than the gyms in Ohio.

It's generally pretty chill, lots of space to spread people out so you're not tripping over each other. They have a nice bar for a beer after the climbing session. I really enjoy it so far!

Iβve been coming here a couple of times a year while driving through Bend ever since this gym first opened. Here are some of my thoughts.
- the setting continues to be excellent
- the facility remains well kept and clean
- the staff have always been friendly and they continue to be
- I continue to look forward to making a visit and I always have a great sesh
Thanks for the great gym.

Pros:
-Nice space
-decent wall design
-easy parking
-good training area
-1st visit is free
Cons:
-1 dimensional climbing (aka pull), not engaging, not fun, not varied.
-very limited resources
-safety!! Nothing is setscrewed, fiberglass or bigger holds are held with some questionable system. Why?
-kids running around: while signing the waiver you watch a 7 minutes video on how to behave in the gym and how to navigate the space with kids. The second we stepped in kids were running everywhere. Great.

Amazing community of people, down to earth, clean, spacious, and fun environment. The staff is the best part, such a great group of people, welcoming. They made us feel right at home.
Gym has yoga, ping-pong, and a full gym, as well as a little hard-kombucha bar.
THE ONE THING I wish is... please please please get a non-alcoholic Kombucha on tap, so we ALL can party at the hard-kombucha bar after a climb!

We stopped by Circuit to try out bouldering & do some strength work in the fitness area. We hadn't bouldered in a couple years, so it was really nice to see all the VB/0/1 options available for beginners. And the bonus of having the fitness area is really nice for when our forearm/grip strength got burnt out. Despite being pretty busy (it was a cloudy/rainy Sunday), there were plenty of routes to go around.

What a complete bummer.
We came to The Circuit last year with our kiddos in BEA while BEA's main facility hosted a Bouldering competition. Super fun and kid-friendly. Since BEA was hosting Collegiate Nationals Qualifying again, we decided to bring our boy and his two friends to climb in the kids area again.
While they were there, under parental supervision, and you know... being regular kids... in a kids-specific area, the on-duty staff decided to keep telling them they couldn't make noise or at one point, even talk. Ultimately we got our money back. But it's the last time we'll visit. Further we'll definitely go out of our way to recommend, BRG, Boardworks, or anywhere else EXCEPT The Circuit to take kids to climb.

Why is there no air filtration system here? It's smokey all summer and doors open policy is to close it at 180 aqi, and I was told this is because the air outside is better at this level. I don't know about others but I can't workout with that kind of AQI and feel good. Smoke in Bend isn't a new thing invest in some air filtration. I don't think I'll be climbing here otherwise. Also what does that mean for indoor air quality in the winter when doors are closed?

Yo, this gym is da bomb. I started climbing here two years ago and Iβve come nearly every day ever since. The staff make me feel like a celebrity when I walk in, which may be too much for some people, but itβs perfect for me. I need that encouragement. πͺ πͺ
The drinks are on point and the management is responsible and quick to tend to their customers. Genuinely, this place makes me feel right at home. I. Love. The. Circuit.

Has a bar which can be cool but you canβt even climb while drinking. Month to month membership is not worth it unless you plan on staying for a long time which defeats the purpose of month to month and it costs an outrageous fee to cancel a membership for whatever reason.

I cover the whole state of Oregon for my job and this gym was great for getting in a session after long day of sales calls and travel. The setting on the boulders was really solid. None of the movement felt awkward and the grading was very consistent - although a bit on the softer side compared to other gyms. Everyone was very nice and even though I was there during peak hours it didnβt feel overly crowded. Iβll be back for sure.

Good looking gym, and was fun to climb, unfortunately, our experience was way less than ideal.
In the center of the gym is a bar. After climbing for a bit, my gal friends and I decided to take a beer break. The bartender didn't ask for our IDs, just guessed our birth years, and when we were done with our drinks he said, "um... you're not planning on climbing, are you?"
Confused, we nodded and told him yes. He proceeded to tell us we couldn't climb unless we left for an hour and came back. I looked at the menu and saw the chalk writing, written very small underneath "CASH TIPS WELCOME." We left, disappointed with no plans on returning.
I understand the liability of people climbing after consuming alcohol. However, there were several options to notify us prior to ordering our beverages. Why we weren't told during the safety video, during the tour, or as we sat down to order our beers?

Oh... many griefs. This review is making me realize I'm mainly motivated to leave reviews when they are primarily negative.. do with that what you will.
Facility is decent.
Staff is kind.
Busy place, plenty of community.
A little hostile towards children during peak hours (thankfully), but the gym also has a large children's area. The kids, when they are there, are only ever in the main area.
It does as have a cool slide, though I find myself wishing it was faster and had a turn or two, to keep things interesting.
Whole place feels profit focused, though I know many of the employees are passionate about the place-and the build itself was respectfully pretty DIY- it still feels corporate.
Setting tops out. There are many members who have waltzed up all but 2-4 routes in the gym at any given time. Most of these people have left the gym and primarily train elsewhere now. Which... I suppose is fine. This just isn't the circuits target audience.
My main gripe though is the tricky EFT contract they push. They REALLY hid the fact that you are required to finish out the entire contract even after paying an additional fee to freeze the membership.
They then bar other members from giving you one of THEIR guest passes, and offer that you can purchase a day pass instead. It seems pretty unreasonable that my partner can't give me her unused guest pass. This shows that the guest passes given to members are simply an attempt to bring in new members, and are not there as a benefit to the member who is already a paying customer.
But... I just wish they would have explained this all out in the open instead of expecting me to read some buried fine print. I remember looking at the details they gave up easily, and neither of these issues were listed. Ahh well. Maybe its better now? Guess I'll just never go again and have an indefinitely frozen membership. Pity though, had some fun from time to time.

Routes are pretty good, but there's a lot of wall space and not much that I want to climb. I have to search for a route I like.
The environment isn't very welcoming, staff is kind of rude.
Membership cancellation policy is awful.

Of all the circuits, Iβve enjoyed the setting here the most. That being said, itβs disappointing that most of the V3 and below routes are ladder-esque. It seems like theyβre setting lower-grade climbs in place of down climbing handles for the harder grades, which isnβt fair to the intro climber looking for interesting movement. V4+ is fun, though. Would be nice to have showers/gender neutral bathrooms.

These guys have no system in place for clean air circulation. AQI of 160 and they have allll the doors open. After covid and years of fire in the area. There plan is no plan. For a corporate gym out of portland -this is an extreme oversight. Clearly not a company that cares about its citizens enough to do the right thing.

Bummed I'm only now discovering this gem of a gym. Introduced my 2 & 4yo kiddos to bouldering and we all had the best morning. Staff was incredibly helpful in getting us geared up, routes were challenging yet attainable, and fun for both kids. We spent 90 minutes smiling, problem solving and encouraging each other, ending the day keen to sign up for an annual membership. Without kids would undoubtedly be even better, with awesome people and a bar π 10/10 would recommend.

This place is a great bouldering-only gym! It's huge with a good variety of routes for all skill levels. They change them around quite a bit, and almost every time I'm in there, the staff are busy with cleaning and maintenance. All the staff members are friendly and helpful, which is great if you start as a self-conscious newbie (hi). I bought a membership last year and you can't beat the price! I'm a student so it's $55 a month, and that includes free yoga classes. π I needed to start strength training in order to stop hurting myself on long runs, so having the membership has been clutch.
Do I wish they had amenities like a shower and a bigger workout area? Yes, but those things come at a cost.

This is a phenomenal bouldering gym! I come boulder here probably 3-4 times a week. The Circuit is one of the cleanest bouldering gyms Iβve been too. It was free for first time visitors which was tight. LOTS of routes, tons of space in there, and it felt far from crowded even though we were there near peak hours. Sign on register said liquid and chalk balls only (though plenty of people seemed to have loose chalk, including bags that were provided by the desk, so the jury's out on that one), which may have contributed to the great air quality in the gym. Grading of routes may have been soft, though they just have a scale from 1 to 8, no traditional grading. Very clean gym too, friendly staff. Overall a great experience. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town. Highly recommend it! (No lead climbing, also they have a kids area if you got kids)

Staff was unhelpful and frankly goofed off more than anything. They ignored me at the front desk for 15mins while they played ping pong. The gym itβs self is mediocre at best. The setting is all over the place one set will be extremely hard and the next will be way to easy, and frankly itβs all boring. And the actual work out area is shabby and as very little to offer. Would not recommend wasting your time or money here.

This place is amazing. I went there for the first time today and Gabe helped me out. He was super friendly and inviting. It gave the gym a nice vibe.
Plus, the bouldering here is awesome, there were +200 problems, and a kids section. Which is awesome because the kids can have their fun, and I'm not worried about squishing one of them!

I have been climbing at the circuit gym in Bend for about a month now. The setting is good, staff is courteous, climbing space is varied and expansive. The kids area is nice and it is easy to contain them there, although I appreciate that rules allow for kids to climb in the main area as well. The gym is currently well ventilated during the summer, with large garage doors open on both sides for a good cross wind. Climbing with a mask on seemed like it would be an annoyance at first, but has turned out to not be that big of a deal. Special thanks to Trevor for helping us get set up with a 3 month membership. It's actually a pretty good time to get in to the gym right now, as attendance levels are currently very low, but won't remain so forever.
