Have visited many climbing gyms across the country and was a member at a different Circuit gym for 6ish months. The Eugene location is a really cool gym, lots of variety in climbs. Was pretty stoked to find out first day pass was free. The gym gym/workout section was a decent size and had a nice variety of equipment as well! Friendly staff. Nice bathrooms. Only complaint is limited parking. Would go again for sure!

This place makes me happy. The staff are attentive and personable, the facility is very clean, the setting is excellent. The best part is the amount of natural light from all the windows!

Aaaaamazing. Loved this place. Awesome routes, super friendly people and even a beer tap and a ping-pong table for once youβre done bouldering. So much space in so many areas and incredible. Great windows. We were in town for a week and found ourselves here three times! A total treat.

Elevation is the newest addition to the Eugene area with a style more suited towards modern bouldering. They feature a greater focus on power and strength than say the technical Portland Rock Gym or the local Elevation. Yet is still a welcome addition that fills a much needed role.
There is plenty of real estate and routes don't feel unnecessarily crowded together. The facilities are clean and carefully planned out. Individual unisex bathroom stalls and changing rooms are available. The lifting area is well stocked and has a full suite of calisthenics bars, rings, barbells, bumper plates, boxes, dumbbells, and kettlebells, etc. Standard faire cardio equipment as well a Kilterboard and a full Metolius campus setup.
Of the routes I could manage, vb-v7, they seem to be more geared for dynamic and powerful movements. Not to say they aren't technical, just that having perfect technique (IE. footwork) won't be the deciding factor for most sends. The wall variety is also very refreshing. There is slab, big overhangs, small overhangs, arretes, and plenty of large cave sections as well. Perfect for younger or newer climbers to really get immersed. It never feels crowded or overrun with people on the mats and is exceptionally clean.
My one gripe is echoed in many other reviews, that being the choice to not use set screws on holds. Having said that, I am 195lbs, on the heavier end for climbers and I have had no accidents or close calls with spinning holds, despite spinning many. From when I started my membership in mid December to early April, they have since become more creative and diligent with securing holds using other holds or these large steel disks.
Overall I think this gym is a great fit for a new climber to get into the sport and fills a much needed role in the community. Routes do not feel undergraded or sandbagged and completing them feels rewarding. I do wish there was a heavier emphasis on technicality but the sheer climbable volume the staff manage to rotate every Wednesday is likely more than enough stress on the employees to begin with.

This is a very nice facility, though I definitely found it to be geared towards advanced climbers. They use a 1-10 difficulty scale, and they start becoming difficult for me pretty low in that scale π
They do not use set screws to lock the problems in place, which seems to bother a lot of us, but they claim to use some kind of stabilizer that you just can't see. I did see one hold have to be resecured while I was there, but most of the holds felt just fine π. I think the mats at Elevation are nicer but these do the job. They do present a bit as "safety nazis" in their safety video where they say you will be asked to leave for not climbing down the wall and dropping instead but I did not have any problems or get bothered for dropping from the top several times (I love a good super hero landing π).
Overall I'd say try them out and give them a chance... especially with your first visit being totally FREE! (What a happy accident when we saved $44 without knowing we would when we arrived.
The staff were also friendly and if you're an alcoholic like much of this town then they have beer taps to get your whistle when you finish your session π

The gym itself is a really good modern gym with everything you'd expect from a bouldering only gym.
There are a couple of things I don't like or could be different.
1. It would be nice if they chose a different board. We already have a full size Kilterboard in Eugene but no Tension boards or permanent spray wall. If they would have put up a spray or TB2 instead of a Kilter I would be more tempted to change memberships.
2. The setting of the holds and not using set screws. The route setting is really fun however the amount of holds that flexed or shifted on me was really unnerving. Holds come with set screw locations for a reason, seems wise to utilize them! Using bolts with metal tags and other holds to keep your primary holds from spinning and flexing is a really strange choice and seems like a weird band-aid solution to a problem that has already been solved.
The kilter board vs others is a nit pick but not using set screws is a pretty annoying and big deal. In my 10 years of climbing in different gyms across the nation I have never had so many holds sift and flex on me. Even if they don't fully spin, it does not instill confidence.
Otherwise it is a fun gym, nice to have another option in Eugene and is wroth the visit. I'll be going from time to time but won't be swapping my membership to them.
Edit after chatting with the gym during a recent visit: I pointed out a hold that was shifting/rotating, probably like 1/8-1/4". They were happy to tighten the bolt up and also explained that if it is only shifting a little that it is because they also use internal supports/stoppers. So I have to give props for how cool and nice the staff is and that they are still utilizing strategies to prevent holds from spinning. From the climbers POV who can't see those internal stoppers and still feels a shifting hold it is a bit unnerving so I definitely still prefer set screws and solid holds. I do appreciate that this is likely a policy across all the gyms and just what they have to do, so this aspect is nothing against the Eugene location in particular. Still just a bummer way that they have to set.
So I'll upgrade my rating from 3 to 4 stars because of how friendly the staff is and how even though I am not a member they still remembered me from times past.

Great place, super friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Route Setting is really really good, and thoughtful. Good training area, and great way to end with beer on tap! The layout is much bigger than I thought even looking at their pictures.
Definitely will be back again.

Very nice and modern gym. Lots of terrain, good hold selection, and a nice open floor plan that doesnβt feel claustrophobic. They have a kilter board and a decent training area. This is on par with most modern gyms nowadays.
But for some unexplainable reason management refuses to use set screws. These are additional holes on a climbing hold placed by manufacturers to prevent holds from spinning when weighted.
This poses a potential safety hazard because climbers are AT RISK of falling in an uncontrolled manner. This is a policy UNIQUE to the circuit locations and I have yet to hear a good reason to not use the solution implemented by hold designers and manufacturers.
The gym does work around this issue by using other holds to stop the spin or metal plates to keep them in place for some holds. But there are still a large number of holds that could potentially spin on you while climbing. But why work around the problem when there is an obvious solution built into the holds.
