The Exercise Coach is a great place to work out. The studio is small yet well equipped, spotlessly clean and has a welcoming vibe. Your workout is scheduled (no walk-ins), with usually only one other client there with their coach, so there aren’t any noisy distractions which allows me to focus on my workout and form. The one to one training is tailored to your goals and the coaches have dialed in how to push you to your maximum without injury. I have increased my strength and balance within a relatively short time and I look forward to more progress with the help of my awesome coach - thank you Sheri!!!

My doc encouraged me to add strength training, and after many failed solo attempts, a friend told me the only exercise program she’s stuck with for years was TEC. The iso kinetic machines exclusive to the Excercise Coach are amazing and ideal for us who are short on time to workout between our weekend warrior activities. There is a 1-1 trainer to client ratio and workouts are efficient, focused and impactful.

As a mid 50's woman, i know that weight training is critical for my health but felt overwhelmed until i found the Exercise Coach in Bend. Sherry and the team built a personalized program for me that changes and pushes me at my rate. I don't need to think about what muscle groups to work - they do, i don't need to think about how much weight for each exercise - they do. And they help me with my form to use the muscles right and not injury myself. The workout is efficient and effective at just 20 min 2x a week. I feel stronger and have more energy. Highly recommend!

The Exercise Coach of Bend has really made a difference in how I feel every single day! I go twice a week for just 20 minutes a session. They provide one on one coaching with a professional trainer the entire visit. The studio is small, private and comfortable.
I started there when I went on a GLP-1 agonist, Zepbound. Three months later on my 70th birthday, I was down 20 pounds. Even better I went from size 14 clothes being snug, to being comfortable in size 10 Levi's! My strength, energy and stamina have improved a lot.
As a retired MD, I can assure you almost anyone at any age or fitness level can benefit from The Exercise Coach. It's a great way to turn back the clock on the bone and muscle loss that occurs with aging and with the use of the newer weight loss medications.
The time commitment is minimal. You could get in a session during a work break if you work nearby. I don't break a sweat most of the time. It is not magic, but simply the most efficient application of the newest exercise science.

A few months ago, my wife and I moved to Bend Oregon from the Bay Area. A friend of ours had been using "the exercise coach" and said we should give it a try, that she has found it very helpful.
We were skeptical as we felt we are in pretty good shape and wondered how can 20 minutes twice a week be effective.
After three months, we are now believers! We feel our overall fitness has increased, especially our core strength, as well as improvement in balance. The coaches are excellent. We especially appreciate their being sensitive to our physical limitations and occasional soreness. The twice a week 20 minute sessions are also easy to schedule.

I checked out the Exercise coach because I felt I wasn’t improving my goals with my own strength exercise program. I was skeptical on how effective a 20 minute workout would be but I was open to try it. After 2 plus months I am extremely pleased with my strength progress. A mix of different exercises/coaching has pushed me beyond anything I would do on my own. The machines/graphing are very helpful in both measuring my progress and increasing my limits. Combining the 20 minute workout twice a week along with daily cardio and walking have created the balance I was looking for. I’ve seen great progress and expect it to continue. The staff is so helpful and encouraging. I highly recommend the Bend Exercise Coach if you’re looking for strength conditioning that will provide what is needed to enjoy the many activities available in our area.

The Exercise Coach has seriously helped me developed my musculature, even though I’m small and have some osteoporosis. I especially appreciate their careful attention to form. I have been going to The Exercise Coach Bend for approximately 3 months now and I am so happy I decided to check them out! Sheri is my personal coach/trainer and she has been wonderful! I started TEC to build back my strength and endurance after having shoulder surgery. I finished PT and was ready but, knowing myself and how the last few years had been with trying to get in shape on my own, I knew I needed professional training. I had tended to cause injury and then needing to stop to heal which just continued to make getting back in shape feel impossible. TEC trainers are very knowledgeable about how to build the muscles and increase strength while keeping me from re-injuring vulnerable areas and joints. I have gained enormous strength and have steadily noticed improvement in my vulnerable joints. My clothes are fitting nicely and I'm feeling great in my own body once again. I am so glad I came in and tried them out! The workouts are truly tailored to each individual and our needs. I feel that they listened to me and what it was I was looking for and needing from them. I'm looking forward to continuing my journey with TEC Bend.

I’m a 66 year old female (I share a google account with my husband) and have been active all my life. At 65 I started feeling myself losing ground in my fitness level. I started The Exercise Coach of Bend, OR with the goal of “consistency” which had been lacking in my workout history. The full body workout they offer in only 20 minutes 2X/week was appealing to me because it left me time for other things I wanted to do: yoga, biking, hiking, etc.
The workouts are excellent— building noticeable strength without soreness the next day, and they have not only contributed to my consistency, but have kept me accountable as well. My muscle mass and overall fitness level have definitely increased. Highly recommend.

My husband and I were new to Bend and saw "The Exercise Coach" whilst walking past when discovering NW Crossing. We decided to give it a try being totally in the dark as to what to expect. Fast forward. It's been a little over four months now and we are hooked. The twenty minute time frame is perfect to work out all muscle groups. A great resource for strength training with customized guidance!
As a 60-something woman that just went through shoulder surgery I was sitting on my sofa getting weaker and stiff. Exercise Coach is a great way to regain strength and balance and lose a bit of weight. I love how their computer programs track my individual progress, and Sheri and her team are so knowledgeable and encouraging. Try the two free sessions and you'll be hooked!

After a lifetime of no-pain, no-gain workouts, I can’t be happier to have found Exercise Coach. After only two months with Sheri at Exercise Coach, I noticed it was much easier to carry my paddle board from the car to the water (instead of stopping every few steps). A couple of weeks later, I was strong enough to stand comfortably on my board for 2 hours where this past summer I had only been able to stand for 10 minutes. And this was with only one session per week! I’m never sore, never hurt myself, but I am getting strong. It almost feels like cheating.

The exercise Coach is a great gym if you’re looking for a short (20 min) session workout. The workout program is an intrinsic/extrinsic workout with a personal trainer. Sheri always pushes to do your best, but if you’re having a bad day, she will adjust your workout accordingly. You will leave each session with a feel-good attitude about yourself. I thought I'd try The Exercise Coach for a short time but would move on to something like Pilates, but I am hooked. Cameron and Sheri are such great coaches; they really listened to me about the pain in my knees and shoulders. After 3 months of work, my pain is a lot less or gone! They helped me safely strengthen the areas that needed it and made them better. It is a tough workout and I love it! Try this workout-you will be surprised at how effective it is.

I just started with Exercise Coach. I am loving it. Great instructor, great environment, quick workout. *****UPDATE*** I love this place. I love the instructors, the amount of time it takes to get a tough workout and the cleanliness of the studio. I have had several replacements and a stroke and each instructor makes sure you are doing the machines properly and your form is correct. In 2 months time, I feel so much stronger and my balance is so much better.

I started out at Exercise Coach thinking it would be just for a short time to get my strength back after chemo and that I would go back to group classes! Well, it’s almost been 3 years and I’m still coming in to see Sheri and the gang because it’s great strength training in that short time of 20 minutes! This is such a great solution for exercising, getting strong on a time crunch, or no time crunch really. Even an hour class is hard for me to get away to regularly, but 20 minutes 2x a week is doable. And the workout really is a workout! Plus it is so great to have the individual attention, the machines tuned to your body giving you feedback as you workout. And the coaches are good folks, encouraging, push you just enough, get you worked out before you know it. I am finally weight training! I have always known I needed to, but once my cardio was over at a typical gym, I couldn't quite add weights. Now I am stronger and have lost 10 pounds whilst also increasing my muscle mass, without any other changes to my diet and exercise regime. I started at The Exercise Coach in Bend last summer to supplement physical therapy I was doing for my knee. Sheri created a personalized plan that specifically met my needs at that time and quickly got me back on the hiking trails. I continued working with Sheri twice a week. I was 72 years young, as Sheri likes to remind me, diagnosed with spine issues and in need of a program that would build my bones & muscles to keep me from losing more bone, strength & balance and help with the pain I was experiencing. Sheri is fantastic! She is very aware and careful not to allow me to stress my joints that I've had prebious injuries in, yet she knows how to design my workouts to build muscle. I've been working out with her for six months now and even though I'm over 70 and had multiple joint problems I feel like I have gotten alot stronger with no irritation to my joints. I'm feeling like the muscle that I'm building is helping my supporting tendons to not be so stressed when I have to use my muscles in the things I do around my house, garden and the sthletic things I like to do.

I've never been a fan of gym workouts/weight lifting or had a personal trainer so I was not 100% sure this program was for me. I was intrigued by the next level type of workout using machinery that gives feedback as you are working. I took advantage of the 2 free sessions to see how it was. WOW! I was very impressed with the technology that is used and the professionalism by the staff. The coaches are awesome to work with - always looking out for the correct form so you get the maximum benefit from the 20 MINUTE workout! They are motivating and know when to add encouragement to keep going as well as raising the bar as you improve. I LOVE this place! I go twice a week during my scheduled appointment time (so less chance for putting off the workout : ) After 3 months since joining I feel stronger, more confident and much healthier. Wow - the personal training and protocols to improve my strength and balance have been incredible. I have now been attending for over 3 months and my admiration for their training philosophy has only grown. I joined approx. 24 sessions ago and was very weakened from some major surgeries the previous years and a fairly sedentary career. My goals were to become more stable as I age and at 66, I find this to be crucial especially to start playing golf again in retirement as I had many years ago. Today I am much, much more stable. Before I was winded going up stairs and timorous coming down them and today I can bop up 40 steps and back down without being winded. I do not feel being over worked in the 20 minute sessions twice a week and in fact, feel much more strong and have extra energy the days I go. I want to thank Sherry and her staff for the personal and caring and encouraging way they guide me to a very much stronger and improved me. I sincerely believe their service has changed the way the aging process will be for me in the future and I plan to continue with this program the whole way.

The Exercise Coach has been an amazing discovery. I have been training there for nearly 5 months. I go 2 days a week for an intense 20-25min workout. It has been easy and convenient to schedule and/or reschedule.

Although in much better physical shape, the strength exercises were tailored to his needs which he finds very helpful. The exercise coach has been a wonderful experience! I have worked with a personal trainer 1 to 1 for over 14 years prior to finding The Exercise Coach. Especially in this time of Covid-19 I was looking for an alternative to the big gym experience. The exercise coach really filled the bill!
First of all-I feel stronger, fitter and have seen more results in the 3 months I have been doing this type of training than I have the previous 14 years.
Second, the staff is friendly, very knowledgeable and keenly aware of making sure that your visit is SAFE. There is usually just 1 or 2 people training at a time, and equipment wiped down after every use. Masks are always on and doors (fresh air) are open.
The isometric computerized equipment has the ability to vary your workout so I never got bored. Your personal trainer stays with you and encourages you the whole time and Voila! you are done in 20 minutes!

I've had ten sessions at The Exercise Coach in Bend, and I'm so inspired! I love how my body feels - I'm stronger and more confident than I was a month ago. The technology of the machines is brilliant, and together with the supportive one-on-one coaching, I get a quick workout that safely challenges me and doesn't hurt my knees! I appreciate their emphasis on safety during COVID, and feel good about being in a smaller studio. I'm so grateful I found The Exercise Coach!

After 3 pregnancies, I was tired of not caring for my body. With a goal of losing weight and getting stronger, I was looking for a personal trainer who could hold me accountable, while also working with my hectic schedule working and going to school full time.Exercise Coach hit all the spots I needed. I feel confident and safe in my progress, as their smart machines allow me to visually see my progress, I don't struggle with delayed onset of muscle pain, which usually prevents me from sticking with my gym regiment, and I can get in a fantastic work out in 20 minutes, twice a week.During COVID-19, they work diligently to ensure the safety of their customers, wiping down each product, and providing quality face masks or shields during work outs. Compared to the cost of a regular fitness trainer, I would go no where else but to Exercise Coach. I hope as I continue my health journey, I'll see the results I'm seeking.

Well kept machines and studio, friendly and encouraging staff. Feels very safe virus-wise to go here. AND the best part is how much stronger I have gotten--pretty amazing for two 20 minute sessions a week. Admittedly fairly intense work, but that is what seems to give results. Great program!

I joined after a knee surgery and because other past injuries were becoming increasingly problematic and hindering me physically. I knew I needed a safe way to strengthen these areas of my body without further injuring them. I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around how such short workouts could be so effective, but I'm experiencing not only improvements in strength and pain but also metabolically. My energy, mood, sleep, and hormonal balance are all improved. I could tell the difference because things worsened when we had to stop during the pandemic and are on the upswing again now that we have resumed. I also struggle with autoimmunity and flare ups from that that make other exercise programs inappropriate at times. The way Exercise Coach is structured I can still work out without flaring my immune system. In fact, it's keeping my immune health more balanced. Our culture is so focused on punishing workouts that are unattainable or intimidating for many people or lower self-esteem. It's great this program is beneficial and challenging, and yet so very doable.

This approach to getting a workout is amazing. In less than 20 minutes with hardly breaking a sweat! I could track my progress on the machines and within the first month could feel myself getting stronger. Perfect if you need a little extra support and one on one. Sheri, David, and Team have helped me gain strength and confidence. My schedule is busy but they make it easy to get to my workout and make it happen. I feel better and don’t have pain that was becoming chronic in some of my muscles. I can feel how much stronger I am in my everyday activities and on the ski hill!
