I just had a wonderful yoga retreat with Monika at Trout Lake Abbey! Monika is a dedicated and experienced teacher and we had a group of all ages and abilities. The setting at the Abbey is really beautiful which added to the enjoyment of the experience!

What a wonderful time I had at Monika's spring yoga retreat at Riviera Nayarit in Mexico! She is a fantastic teacher, combining Hatha flow with Chinese medicine for a terrific yoga practice. With views of the sea, the relaxing sound of the crashing surf, great organic and locally grown food, and lots of fun excursions, it was an unforgettable experience!

We just returned from one of Monika's yoga retreats to Mexico and it was an incredible experience. Monika hosted yoga twice a day, a more active session in the morning and a relaxing, yin session in the evenings. Her practice is filled with thoughtful, playful, and occasionally technical explanations that reveal the deep expertise she's built as a yoga instructor, pilates instructor, and athlete for years.
The retreat included a perfect mix of yoga, optional excursions, and unstructured time. My wife and I are thankful to have been there and will gladly book with Monika again for regular classes and retreats.

Monika is an exceptionally skilled, attentive and thoughtful professional. As a retired physician, I particularly appreciate her knowledge of anatomy. Throughout each session, she teaches how and why we perform specific moves. Over the past decade, she has helped improve my overall health and specifically helped with degenerative joint and disc disease.

Monika is a fabulous teacher that has been studying, practicing, and teaching yoga and pilates for enough years to give her deep awareness and insight to each person's unique physical strengths and weaknesses. An athlete herself, with a brain and pasion for science, she continues to study and expand her knowledge of biomechanics.
Her smaller group classes are perfect for the opportunity for everyone to get plenty of focused attention, whether in her home studio or on line (due to social distancing). Plus, Monika has boundless positive and joyful energy!

Monika is a master! She has in-depth knowledge of body mechanics, a keen eye to study what isn't functioning in yours and the patience that eases you into βone more sessionβ (because at first, you want to give up). I attended Monika Gold's "How to Release Tension in the Shoulders, Neck and Arms" class at Yoga Pearl earlier this month. The class was amazing. I walked away thinking Monika is exceptionally talented and knowledgeable about anatomy and yoga practice.
Throughout the class, she offered specialized one-on-one guidance for those with specific issues in their shoulders and neck. She followed up with me after class and took the time to further address the pain I have been experiencing in my right shoulder area. I am truly impressed by her personalized approach and dedication to helping students find proper alignment and comfort in their bodies.

We have been doing pilates/yoga with Monika for over 5 years. She is amazing at working with us and focusing exercises to target and strengthen certain areas. Her knowledge of all the muscle groups and what exercises give the greatest results for flexibility and strength keeps us feeling great!
