I joined W1 Taekwondo earlier this year to improve my fitness and discipline, and it’s been a great experience. Master Adrian pays close attention to every student, making each class feel personalized and supportive. Ms Skyla is excellent as well, both bring so much passion and energy to their teaching. I look forward to every class and only wish I had started sooner. So glad to be part of the W1 Taekwondo family

Very friendly and welcoming people, along with a clean, well-kept environment! For being someone who had never done any martial arts prior to joining, I've found W1 to be a great place to get started. Master Adrian has continued to be an excellent Instructor, offering advice and critiquing each individual's performance to help everyone more effectively learn and grow. Would recommend W1 Taekwondo to anyone looking to increase their fitness, strength, sense of community, and self-confidence.

As a future master here at W1 Taekwondo, im proud to say I have been training here for more than 7 years now. Spending most of my days here, it is one of my favorite things to do. I started as a white belt myself here and I would highly recommended anyone of any age to join. Whether you are just looking for something to do as a new hobby, or want to practice your strength and discipline, W1 Taekwondo is certainly the way to go. <3

My kid was very shy at 4 years old and we wanted to try taekwondo to see if it can improve his confidence. As soon as he met Ms. Skyla he wanted to follow the class. We ended up continuing with the program and we cannot thank W1 and Ms. Skyla enough. Our kid is much more confident now and we can notice it every day in his behavior.

Well I as a transwoman, tried out one class at that dojo in December of 23, just looking to sign up for Taekwondo to develop some discipline, confidence, and maybe not be as badly bullied in every day life. During one of the drills I was doing push-ups on my knees simply because that's only way I could do them as a chubby 5'6 210Lbs BBW brunette. I got made fun of, judged, and scolded for such, instead of just helping me w/ my form so I get maximum muscle benefit w/o getting injured over time, supporting my efforts.

My granddaughter Kyiah has had such a great time at the Cedar Hills Taekwondo studio. She has been a member since 2019 and is now a black belt. She has worked very hard to learn the skills she has needed to progress. Master Adrian has built her self confidence through the years. She loves her classes and she loves being physically fit.
Thankyou Cedar Hills Taekwondo.

Saw the 2 week free trial. Filled a info portion on the website. Someone did text me what info I was curious about. I just asked what is the price range after the 2 week trial. Do they charge per month? Per session? Per week? It's been 3 days now. No response.

W1 has been incredible for my son. He needed discipline and a way to control his emotions better and the classes have instilled discipline with him over the last two years. The classes are fun, they play games at the end of every class and there is closeness with the group. The added bonus is the type of training methods they use help my son in his other sports. He has gained great flexibility, balance, and explosiveness from the agility drills, stretching, jumping, and kicking. Master Adrian and team are the best.

When we were looking for a martial arts class nearby, my friend recommended this gym at first. Not only trial fee is a good price to start with new sports, but also every practice is a well-thought-out curriculum I think. Our family’s journey with W1 Taekwondo has been transformative, not just for our son Khaden but for us as a whole. Since joining and recently earning his yellow belt, Khaden’s joy and pride in his achievements have been palpable. His focus and attention to detail have seen remarkable improvements, a testament to the program’s positive influence on young minds.
Khaden has always been a beacon of good behavior, kindness, and respect towards others. My wife's and my delight lies in witnessing how his experiences at W1 Taekwondo have further refined these qualities, boosting his confidence and inspiring a newfound zeal for excellence in all areas of life, from academics to home responsibilities and being an exemplary big brother.
The sense of community at W1 Taekwondo is exceptional. The supportive network of parents and the inclusive atmosphere foster a real sense of belonging and mutual encouragement among the students. Master Adrian and his dedicated staff excel not only in teaching martial arts but also in instilling valuable life lessons in discipline, respect, and hard work.
We wholeheartedly recommend W1 Taekwondo to anyone considering martial arts. The impact on our son’s character and the visible growth in his self-assurance speak volumes of the quality and ethos of this program. A special acknowledgment goes to Master Adrian, whose commitment and passion for teaching have significantly contributed to our son’s development.
As a severely Disabled Military Veteran with limitations that prevent me from participating, I observe from the sidelines, immensely proud and somewhat envious of the wonderful experiences my son is having. W1 Taekwondo is more than just a martial arts academy; it’s a community where life’s important lessons are taught and learned.
In the spirit of W1’s guiding philosophy, “Storms Never Last,” we are reminded that the challenges we face only serve to make us stronger and more resilient. Thank you, Master Adrian and team, for your exceptional work and for embodying this powerful message in everything you do.

My son and I have recently joined classes at W1. The leadership and ethos of this program is exactly what we are looking for. Our perfectionist 7-yr old had a swift fall during class, which really scared him and caught him off guard. Immediately Master Adrian asked him if he was ok, encouraged him to keep going, but more importantly demonstrated empathy saying with a level of calm, "I have had many falls like that". Our son still remembers this. Master Adrian is well versed in resilience, and this trait combined with modeled empathy makes this program extremely valuable.
I attend the adults class, which is inclusive through intention and practice. Most of my adulthood I have felt scared or embarrassed to workout alongside peers. W1 is a totally different story, it is a community-minded environment where you can have fun.
Our family recommends W1 for kids and adults alike!

Our daughter expressed a keen interest in learning Taekwondo, prompting her to join trial classes at W1 Taekwondo. From the very beginning, she found herself thoroughly enjoying the experience. What sets W1 apart is Master Adrian's dedicated focus on bringing out the best in every student.
Beyond just Taekwondo techniques, our daughter has been exposed to a holistic approach that fosters personal growth and development. Master Adrian goes beyond mere instruction, emphasizing values such as discipline, respect, and perseverance.
Impressed by our daughter's positive experience, her elder brother, despite the age difference, decided to join as well. Both siblings now actively participate in the classes, not only honing their Taekwondo skills but also benefiting from the broader life lessons imparted by Master Adrian.
We are delighted to witness the positive impact that W1 and Master Adrian have had on our children, providing them with not just physical training but also instilling valuable qualities that extend beyond the training mat.

If you are looking for a Taekwondo class for your child this is the place that I can strongly recommend without any hesitation. Thanks and best wishes!

So grateful to be a part of this community where everyone is encouraged to become the best versions of themselves. Besides the physical benefits of Taekwondo, Master Adrian helps instill strong values in his students (young and old) resulting in increased confidence, respect, resolve, commitment, healthy competition, motivation, and so much more. In fact, the five tenets of success are repeated daily - Imagine what we could accomplish as a society if every person lived daily by the tenets of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control, and indomitable spirit. Thank you, Master Adrian, for building a community where everyone is provided the opportunity to grow and have fun while doing it - We are grateful to you and the W1 Taekwondo community for the incredibly positive impact you have had on our family over the years!

Our daughter has been doing Taekwondo with Master Adrian since January 2020. In that time, Master Adrian has quickly become one of the most important pillars of support in our daughter's community. Master Adrian has the ability to meet kids where they are, but also encourage and push them to improve or try a new skill every class. Our daughter's confidence, balance and strength has soared in the almost three years she has been doing Taekwondo. The physical things and the mental principals she learns from Master Adrian are things I see her apply in her daily life. Taekwondo has become not only an extracurricular activity in her life, it has become a very important part of who she is.

My 5 year old has been attending W1 for 5 months now, and within that short time period, her confidence has grown tremendously - all thanks to the staff and Master Adrian. Although we live 30-40 minutes away, we choose to continue coming to W1 because of how attentive and amazing Master Adrian and his helpers are. They know each and every one of their many many students by name (even the new ones). They continue to impress me with their teaching methods, knowledge, kindness - and the family atmosphere they have built here. My daughter has become more confident, disciplined, attentive and respectful since starting her TKD journey here. Thank you!

Master Adrian is patient with the kids but also firm that they need to pay attention and actually put forth an effort. Only reason I was tempted to give 4 stars, just for the reason the instructors all talk really fast, which made it hard for my kid (4yo) to know what he was supposed to be doing. Even I had a hard time understanding what the kids were supposed to do sometimes. But my kid usually figured it out so it wasn't that big a deal 😀
Oh, and when my kid was having a hard time getting started (he was nervous and shy), Master Adrian did an entire class 1 on 1 with him for free, which was super cool.

We are very happy with the inclusive and positive atmosphere at Cedar Mill TKD. Master Adrian takes care to address each child, keeps children motivated and learning fun.
Update:
We attended Cedar Mill TKD for about a year.
Most children will do well and thrive under guidance of Master Adrian.
Unfortunately our son was unable to continue attending at TKD. While the class structure works well for most children, it was difficult to accommodate our son’s needs which resulted in his inability to participate and honor his teacher and the Dojang.
When teaching students with disabilities the first step is acceptance. The second step is accommodation. Physical disabilities are relatively easy to accommodate as they involve a change that is mechanical in nature or a removal of requirements. Cognitive/emotional issues are much more difficult to accommodate and are a challenge that require patience, empathy and creativity in problem solving.
Harnessing the spirit, going to the root of the issue, finding the child’s ability and encouraging motivation, finding the right reward for a child with autism is a difficult undertaking and requires knowing the child, taking a vested interest in the child’s success, and having a mastery of outsmarting the child and situation. We were hopeful that the discipline, exercise, routine and clear expectations would have been great for our son who generally does well when all of the above are present. Unfortunately even though our son appeared to do great in the beginning, ultimately the teacher did not find a way to help our child participate successfully in the class.

My son (8) and daughter (4.5) started Taekwondo about three months ago. My son had been asking to do martial arts and when we saw the introductory offer we thought it was a great opportunity to let the kids try it out and see if they liked it. Honestly, we were blown away by how great the program is and how much our kids love it. Our son is a smart and physical kid but tends to resist organized sports and organized activities. But with Taekwondo he is always excited to go, doesn't forget the chance to remind me of a make-up class and tells me constantly he plans to stay in Taekwondo until he gets a black belt and beyond. He has even offered to use his own money to pay for class. He is motivated to do well and wants to get to the next belt. Our daughter Anna is four! And feisty, and strong, and quick but still four. And she is doing so well. She is just as happy as her brother to go and is very proud of herself. And what she is able to do is astounding! As a parent I see strength and confidence growing in my children. Which is exactly what you get when you have to walk in to a situation and starting "doing". You have to just begin and follow along, and do until you lead. And then you move up, and do the same thing again. As an educator the program is remarkable. Not only does Master Adrian lead the class of beginners which is a great opportunity for the kids, but he leads and teaches so well. He has high expectations for the students. He believes they can meet those expectations so THEY believe they can meet those expectations. And they do! He is good at recognizing good behavior and skills. He does a terrific job helping every student in class but without the class feeling slow or distracted. He helps along students who maybe need help in regards to behavior but with no judgement. Meaning you work on your kicks the same way as you work on paying attention. The students are learning a lot. There is a lot of exercise and activity and repetition so the students are learning a lot and not getting bored. They accomplish, and feel as though they have accomplished a lot in their thirty minute class. As a previously self-employed person I respect the organization of Cedar Mill Martial Arts. The studio is organized, the administration is organized, there is a short weekly email notifying parents of upcoming events, and they are very good and prompt via email communication. Taking Taekwondo is a financial commitment to be sure, and only the best program and only if our children really enjoyed it and were benefiting from it, would we commit to this. And Cedar Mill Martial Arts has surpassed our expectations, and I am assuming that we will be part of the CMMA community for a long time to come.
