I would have given Zero stars but had to give it to Great instructors like Colleen H., Cassiana D., Michelle H., Yuko M. who have been real nice in their teaching and letting people from diverse backgrounds feel welcome. I have had the most daunting racist experience in 21st century and had to cancel my membership due to some members giving a feedback ( not about the instructor) but about a person's odor after attending a heated yoga class where they claimed that after the heated class attended, my odor gave them a bad experience when they moved around or I passed around when I usually leave the class last ( power flow, Signature hot, etc.). I have attended classess with less than 20 people at a time and have avoided overcrowded classess where all the 33 mats are occupied to avoid disruptions during the class as the space they have at Lake Oswego studio is pretty small. I was asked to address my after class odor as it was a bad experience for some people. I cannot still comprehend this event and have been traumatized about this. I have been a memeber of Core Power Yoga Ballard, Seattle for six months, Barre 3 and others and have never had such a racist experience. Not at all inclusive pinpointing people's personal odor (among a class of 20 people) specifically native of other countries. What a traumatic experience to have in 21st century where inclusivity and equality is used so casually and have no teeth. Nobody is dressed to attend a wedding but to sweat it out in a gym/yoga studio (the last place to be concerned about odor). I wonder where was my consistent personal odor (exact words) when they were chasing to sell their membership!

Upon entering, you’re greeted by a Wellness Advisor. At a few studios, you check yourself in via an iPad at the front desk, but at most, the WA checks you in after they remember or ask you your name. You can check in via the app once you’re close to the studio, but that doesn’t refresh the WA’s screen immediately, so they may not see that you did. The app for browsing studios and booking classes is overall excellent, with just a couple bugs. It’ll offer to put the class on your calendar automatically. Finding a suitable class for your needs is generally easy, with the hard classes in the early morning and into the mid-day, and the easier Slow Flow and Restore classes typically towards the end of the day. Despite Y6 being a franchise operation, there is a LOT of variability between studios in the mix of classes they offer and the details I note below.
The single practice room (some studios have two) has a mirror across the entire front wall, but the instructor also faces you and usually mirrors the poses, so this can produce confusion on the teacher’s and student’s parts as everyone tries to figure out which side to move depending on whether they look at the teacher or their reflection. To me, mirroring only makes sense in an outdoor setting. Most studios, like this one, use vinyl flooring. Some use rubber, which would be awfully hard to keep clean. There are cubbies and lockers to store your things. A few studios have sexed locker rooms with showers, but this studio has two unisex restrooms. There is often a wait for the restroom during the busy turnover times when one class is leaving and another arriving. There’s a Flowater water dispenser to fill up your bottle. There are free sweat towels available where you check in; some studios charge for them. Mats and mat towels can be rented. Parking is free. This studio allows late arrivals, which is both accommodating and disruptive. All of the classes are heated, from 85 to 105, with 30-40% humidity, but specific temps are left up to each teacher.
The room is laid out with stickers for the top of each mat, allowing for 4 rows of 9 mats, leaving a moderate amount of room between you and your yogi neighbors. There’s a thin weight-bearing pole in the middle of the studio that doesn’t interfere and can be even be useful for those who aren’t along a side wall for support. Virtually all studios have a tall ceiling, but this is the only one with a short ceiling, so tall people have to choose one of the spaces where their hands won’t hit the ventilation tubes that hang from the ceiling. A few studios offer TRX, but this one doesn’t and couldn’t given the low ceilings. The sound system and color-changing lights are high quality. There’s a microphone for the instructor, but only one of the 19 teachers use it, so it can be hard to hear the cues if the music is loud. Six studios across the country offer virtual classes, which can be useful when you’re traveling internationally; this one doesn’t. The walk-in prop room is small, with weights, blocks, bolsters, straps, and bands, all free to use. The teachers don’t enforce “in through the inhale door, out through the exhale door”, so it’s bumper cars getting or putting away your things. The weights are mismatched, rubber coated, and some are torn and rusting; some studios use more durable metal-handled weights with solid rubber ends, but those can be harder on your hands.
The majority of instructors at this studio are really good, among the best I’ve had. Each of them go through 200 hours or more of training. The yogis here skew towards the young and fit. Everyone appears happy and spent when class is over, as it should be.

Absolutely love YogaSix Lake Oswego! I’ve been coming here for over a year now, and the difference in my strength, mindset, and overall well-being has been incredible. The sculpt classes are hands-down my favorite - they’re tough in the best way, and I always leave feeling stronger, recharged, and ready to take on the day.
The instructors are truly amazing - so kind, motivating, and knowledgeable. Huge shoutout to Jessica and Rachel for always bringing the best energy to class! The front desk team is just as wonderful - always welcoming and helpful. Special thanks to Roman, who’s been especially accommodating and kind.
YogaSix has become such an important part of my routine and truly feels like a supportive, uplifting community. I’m so grateful I joined - it’s something I genuinely look forward to every week.

I have been a member of the Y6 LO community for the past couple of years. Before YogaSix I had never "gotten" yoga before. I am now obsessed. I feel so much stronger and have made so many friends (still not very flexible but better). Also, I would never work out as hard on my own as I do in the cardio sculpt classes. The respect I have for the teachers is through the roof. The lead teacher, Amelia, is masterful in her sequencing and she only hires and trains the best. With 6 different types of classes there is something for everyone at all levels. Can't say enough!

I went to this studio for 6 months after opening, logged 70 classes, then moved away. When I tell you I have missed this studio experience every day since then I am NOT exaggerating. The environment that they’ve created in there is unlike any other. The app is so easy to use for scheduling your classes and the teachers are incredible!! Please open up a YogaSix near Hillsboro - I wanna be a regular again 🥺🤎

Amazing! Honestly I've been curious about yoga but I've always been so intimidated by it. There's that mirror and everyone seems like they're in super good shape. People flying their chairs and scorpioning their dogs. Are the dogs ok?
Decided to get ready for my 50th birthday I'd finally give Yoga a go.
First class ever was with Amelia. Not sure why I thought it was going to be relaxing. I read the class name "Power Yoga" and rationalized that I also say that about naps. How challenging could it be? OMG. "Knee to my nose? that seems far." But wow... it's invigorating, and "yeah it does reach. Wait again?" I've never worked out like that in my life. All smiles.
Went back the next day for the Sculpt and Flow class with Christina. It's basically superhero training. If you just got cast in a Marvel movie, start going to this class for sure. It's tough, but in a fun way, she's super encouraging. I've had a few classes with Heidi, is another great instructor, she has a whole other style; so much core. Rees has a wonderful hot class, I haven't had the chance to take many, but loved the one I did take. Hot is a different feeling. Feels amazing. Mauro's class is just the best way to start a Friday ever. totally different. You're dancing kinda, not really, hard to explain, it's wonderful though, so much movement with breathe. The whole situation is a super great vibe. You float out. I'm sure there are more folks, I can only mention the ones I was lucky enough to be in their class.
It certainly starts with the skilled instructors, but that's not the whole thing. I'm sure I'm not doing it right most of the time but I'm trying and participants in the classes are patient and inviting. It's a wonderful experience. Starting and ending with breathe and stretches and ending in the most delightful cold towel. Way exceeded my expectations and wonderful people to practice with.
No doubt. I'm stronger, more flexible, balanced and frankly happier. It's basically a time machine. I don't feel age. 50's great. So much gratitude for finding this studio.

Opening soon! Finally . . . The 'brick & mortar' YogaSix in Lake Oswego! From the outdoor classes that this group has held in Roehr Park - on the Willamette, I am sure the studio experience will be great.
Each week a different instructor leads the classes - each class then is different . . . a different style yoga and a varied method of teaching. It is a perfect way to get acquainted with all of the classes offered once the studio opens near downtown LO.
The studio owners have been great with communication. Throughout the winter, YogaSix Lake Oswego has kept members updated on the opening - as well as emailing yoga video workouts to do at home.
I have been to many yoga classes, and the personalized attention & well-planned workouts that YogaSix gives its members is impressive. If the owners can do this well while not having the studio opened yet, the new YogaSix looks like a great addition to Lake Oswego.
