Art in Motion is an amazing, inclusive community. They focus on building positive connections, and all families are welcome. They create a truly body-positive environment where everyone is encouraged to feel confident and enjoy dancing, no matter their shape, size, or experience. Genuinely, their mission is to help people find joy through dance, and they do it with so much heart and passion. As a mom of a kiddo who loves dance I wanted to stay away from the competitive side of dance. Art in notion fit that bill by focusing on community and joy dance brings. Highly recommend!

I've attended classes at this studio regularly and every time is a blast! My favorite class is Mosh Moves -- it's the best end to my week and the dance moves are so easy and fun. I get to use my whole body during class which makes me feel really relaxed afterward.

Jen makes everyone feel welcome and like they are family! Art in Motion is the most family friendly, affordable studio in the area and the teachers are amazing! It’s so important that arts are accessible to everyone financially and with a realistic schedule. Jen makes that happen and is always trying to do more. Thank you so much!

It's been awhile since I was there, but I can't wait to go back. This studio is so welcoming and wonderful, for children and adults! It is woman owned by a beautiful soul who is spreading joy to each person she teaches! All of the dance teachers are so encouraging and inclusive. I highly recommend signing up for a class for yourself and for your children! It's the best thing I ever did for my personal self expression!

Went for the young child class and the teacher did a fantastic job being flexible with the kids and fun at the same time. You could tell she had experience working with kids and I could see the foundational dance that was put into a fun delivery.

The punch card system is so fantastic and allows such great flexibility that is needed with kids.

My daughter and nephew take the belly dance/jazz combo class with Jen.. This has been a wonderful experience. Jen is very welcoming and is an amazingly good dancer and teacher. . My daughter is shy and has really come out of her shell in this class. I have also walked in to her adult belly dance class for myself and we have taken mosaic tile making art classes at the studio. We will be regulars for years to come and would never look elsewhere for a dance school.

When my daughter first asked to take dance classes, my #1 goal was to make sure to find a place that was not competitive or toxic. The teachers are great at teaching every BODY at every level. My daughter has learned how to incorporate movement into her daily life, and has gained so much self confidence. Every time we step into the dance studio we feel loved and welcomed. I can not recommend this place enough!

This place is so comfortable and welcoming. If you are neurodivergent, queer, alternative, larger-bodied, or uncomfortable with movement you can feel safe and secure in this space. It truly feels like it is meant for everyone.

I truly believe that Art in Motion is the best dance studio in the area. They prioritize fun, healthy hearts, minds, and bodies, and inclusion. This is where you take your kid to learn how to build activity and movement as a part of their life. This is not where you go to be an ultra-competitive/toxic dance parent. I also take classes as an adult and have never been made to feel out of place, even at my beginner level. Art in Motion makes dance fun!

The tap classes are awesome! Each class is a delightful mix of new combinations each week, and a terrific combination of workout and artistic expression, without the hassle of costumes/rehearsals/performances at the end of the year. Exactly what I was looking for in an adult class!

If you are looking to try dance, or have a kiddo try dance, this is the place to do it. I was a dancer for many, many years as a kid, and was looking for a way to work some cardio into a busy schedule with something I knew I loved. I hadn't danced for about fifteen years, but Art in Motion teachers Jen and Cindy were kind and welcoming and supportive - and are like that with everyone!! They do such an incredible job helping everyone feel included. You do not have to have experience as an adult to dance here! This is not a competitive studio, but the teachers KNOW their stuff. It's such a refreshing and supportive atmosphere. And the ability to drop in with passes is incredible. It's hard to commit week-by-week, but the three month pass plan is perfect for busy adults who want to try new things, revive a childhood passion, or just get in a good workout. I seriously cannot say enough good things about this studio.

I and my 13yo love both the instructors and the people taking the classes here! Warm, welcoming, completely the opposite of judge-y, and just overall amazing experience that makes it look fun as well as learn/just dance. It is a great place - no matter if you're outgoing or not, try it out :) Such a great mix of people that it all is just fun.

I am so glad that I found Art in motion dance studio, the teachers and staff are so welcoming and the atmosphere is like family. I felt comfortable from day one, and have really enjoyed my dancing experiences there. They offer a great variety of different dance classes and some of the classes now are even offered on zoom along with in person. Personally, I have been going for belly dance classes, and the instructor Jen, is very warm, patient and such an amazing teacher:) I highly recommend Art in Motion!

Art in Motion Pittsburgh is a wonderful environment for people of any age. When you walk into this studio it feels like home. We started taking classes here several years ago and never turned back. Our very first class everyone in our class welcomed us with open arms. This studio is for all types of people with any type of ability and background. Would highly recommend checking it out.

I never thought I would be a dance mom... It just didn't seem like my thing... But these teachers, I fell in love with the studio and the fact that my daughter's confidence increased significantly. Every week we have FUN!

Everyone at the studio is SO NICE. They are kind and accepting of everyone - graceful or clumsy, young or old, big or little. My daughter (who is 6) has learned so much. The price is great for the individual attention my little one receives. We were so lucky to find Art In Motion!

Art in Motion is a wonderful place for dance classes! Very family oriented with kind, professional, and personable instructors who really care about their students! Parents and guardians have an opportunity to take their own classes while their child dances. Furthermore, I don't think you'll find a wider variety of international dances that are this accessible (not competitive or exclusive to highly experienced dancers) in the Western PA! I fell in love with Brazilian samba dance because of this studio, and I look forward to classes every week!
