Went out their today with my nonverbal daughter and I let them know ahead of time, we found out about this place at my daughters rehab that they deal with adaptive swim. We went out place looks nice, got ready to swim and she went into the water. The instructor was informed prior to, however it would show very quickly that the instructor didn’t know what to do with my daughter. The lifeguard had to come over even to watch her to make sure she wouldn’t leave the wall. After a little bit the manager came over and asked us how things were going and told us she had to be pulled out of the water. This place cannot work with disabled children.

Highly recommend for infant/baby swim lessons- the earlier you can start your babies, the better! We started our son’s lessons over the summer and he’s progressively become more comfortable in the pool(both large and kiddie). The exposure and guidance provided by the instructors has also made him more confident around natural bodies of water and funny enough their prompt of “Ready, go Balloon face” works wonders in the bathtub- he’ll now tilt his head back to get his hair rinsed avoiding water or soap in the eyes - go figure. He’s still getting accustomed to full submersions and can get fussy about it during class, but the instructors remain so kind and patient with him so we’re looking forward to his continued growth with the school. Separately, LOVE the flexibility in scheduling/makeup classes. All around great business model. Thanks Big Blue!

This is a great place for kids. We were nervous at first, but it's a cozy facility with lots of room to sit and watch. There are a lot of lanes and all of the instructors are great. It was super easy to set up a trial and then lessons. They are on top of things when it comes to communication. There are a kajillion changing rooms so you never have to wait.

Big Blue Swim School has been an excellent decision for our family. They have not only taught critical pool safety skills, but they focus on making pools fun and comfortable for kids first and foremost. I severely undervalued the emphasis they put on teaching “balloon face” early on. Our daughter can safely navigate different forms of water without inhaling mouthfuls in a panic, as I’ve so often seen other kids do that don’t have the same level of exposure. It gives her confidence, and gives us comfort in knowing that she’s building on safety skills.

Big Blue is a beautiful pool. From the moment we step in the front doors, we found it so welcoming. All employees are so friendly and professional. I enrolled my child in swim classes at Big Blue Swim School in Cranberry Twp while visiting my in-laws during summer break. We were looking for session-based sign-ups, and the staff was both welcoming and helpful. The instructors encouraged my child, who was initially fearful of the water and discouraged by not keeping up with peers. After the trial class, he was thrilled to float and move in the water. He asked to continue for a week, and made impressive progress in just 5 days! The facilities were excellent—spotlessly clean and well-organized. My child easily accessed the pool, waited in the designated lane (with staff warmly greeting every child), rinsed off, and changed. There were hair dryers for kids and large cubbies for storing bags. Registration was a breeze with their user-friendly website and app. We’ll definitely return and register for classes next time we’re in town!

I like how efficient the facility is ran. Things stay moving & there are lots of staff to help guide & assist as needed. The swim instructor, Alayna, has been so amazing for my daughter. I love that there is only 3 kids per lane, it gives her lots of one on one & fun with swim friends. She looks forward to her weekly lessons. It’s impressive how she so quickly is becoming more confident in her skills. The extra person or two who stand outside the pool watching the kids gives me peace of mind that all the updates on the app are adequate & true. The showers with soap is great for rinsing the chlorine off prior to getting changed. No complaints so far! So glad we picked Big Blue!

I absolutely love our lessons! I only wish you moved to town sooner as I have four kids, and I certainly would have taken everyone of them there. We did the YMCA and not only did we have trouble getting into classes, but the instructors were not nearly as knowledgeable, and definitely not assertive.

I also love that you offer drop in classes for an additional three dollars as my daughter transitions to a stronger and stronger swimmer and her schedule gets busier - It will be important for us to continue with two times a month lessons. I hope you’re having success at your location, because I believe that every parent with a small child should enroll and I will definitely tell my friends!

The pool doesn’t stink like chlorine and they make it fun for kids! If your kid is hesitant about getting in the pool, they’re good about taking over and the parent being hands off. I wanted to take a moment to express how much I love this place. I have two kiddos who had a lot of anxiety around water and everyone has been so patient and considerate of that in working with them. The environment at this spot is truly remarkable. The parent seating section is nice and calm and everyone seems to be in a good mood, this is a huge contrast to some of the other activities my kids have participated in. The instructors all seem to have a really good positive attitude and yet also very calm and chill. This is so important in my mind because I think we were used to seeing environments that were very "drill instructor" like and honestly the kids were not really learning anything and also weren't enjoying themselves. Every week my kiddos talk about being excited for the upcoming lesson. We have had a few different instructors so far and each one is special in their own right. We have seen Nilah, Laythan, Blake and Jania.....each person has been so lovely, kind, funny, calm, patient and encouraging. I can see the change in my kiddos each week and I also see their continued excitement. Entering into these classes has been one of the best decisions I've made for my kids and I want to give acknowledgement to each of these young people as well as the rest of the staff, you all are doing great! Thank you for your continued kindness! You all have no idea how much it has brightened our day.

The one school was very crowded and loud. They’ve both made great progress at Big Blue and our one daughter has already moved up a level. Our other daughter will probably move up at the next lesson. Stopped by a couple of weeks after Big Blue Swim School opened. The facilities were immaculate and the staff was very warm and welcoming. Instructors did an excellent job coaching kids across different age groups.
