After relocating to DE this studio is the closest in proximity, Bikram Yoga studio that offers traditional 90 minute, 26/2 hot yoga near me. They were warm welcoming, calming, inviting & encouraging, knowing I'd be traveling an hour each week. There's no stress when I arrive & my pass is good for 6 months! Leo is a fun instructor.

I've been practicing at Bikram Yoga Chadds Ford for several years, and I’m so thankful a friend recommended this studio! The 90-minute Bikram yoga classes are challenging yet rewarding, and the experienced, supportive instructors make every session enjoyable.
The studio is clean, well-maintained, and perfectly heated, creating the ideal space for practice. In addition to Bikram, they offer Hot Pilates, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, and Meditation, providing a well-rounded approach to health and wellness.
The welcoming community and consistent practice keep me coming back. If you're looking for the best hot yoga studio in the local area, this is it!

I’ve been coming to this studio for a while now, and I absolutely love it! The environment is so warm and welcoming—it truly feels like a supportive community where everyone is kind and friendly.

My favorite classes are Vinyasa, Bikram yoga, and Pilates. The instructors are not only highly skilled but also incredibly encouraging and inspiring. They bring such positive energy to every class, making the entire experience fulfilling both physically and mentally.

Be warned—if you even kind of like yoga, this place will make you fall in love with your practice. I can’t recommend it enough!

Great studio! Clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a place to grow in your practice than look no further. The instructors all have their own style of approach, but are all very knowledgeable and insightful. I have learned so many little things that have advanced my practice, I come away with something new nearly every class. I see a few reviews criticizing the attitude and behavior of a certain teacher. I have personally learned a great deal from that very same teacher. He can definitely come off a little condescending, and if you’re easily offended you might be bothered. I think he’s just goof and his intentions are pure. If you expect to be coddled and pampered maybe stretch at home. If you come with the humility of a student willing to learn, then I’m certain you will be satisfied with your experience.

This studio was not for me but it might be for you. Here's why:
1.) About 19 classes a week are listed as Bikram Beginner Yoga - but aren't actually.
I took off the stars mostly because the Beginner title on the classes is misleading.
2.) Seven of these classes are instructed by Leo and are definitely not "beginner." Leo has a following- his classes are full. I found him to be a decent guy but not much for allowing accommodations/modifications. I did not feel confident or comfortable in the classes I took with him. He does have a book though you should buy it- oh go to the class- he will tell you himself. (Believe it or not he has some for sale right there! You are so lucky!)
3.) I enjoyed Michelle's class! I felt good about myself. I increased my participation from my last class. I had fun. She helped me to modify poses so that I could get closer to reaching the correct places. If more classes were taught like Michelle's I would be going back. I have been to other Bikram studios with a softer, more accepting feel. This studio was not that for me.

**If you have thick-skin, are cynical, and into hard-core push it to the max Bikram you might love this place.**

I attended two Bikram classes with two different instructors at this studio while visiting my parents, who live in the area. The studio is very nice, the instructors knowledgeable and I received a warm welcome. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I went to a studio in SLC which was a dream studio constructed with radiant heat floors, humidity control and a HEPA air system. The instructors at that studio also had a very peaceful aura and soothing voices. So I have to reserve the 5 stars for them. I didn't even give my home studio 5 stars. I'll return to Bikram Chadds Ford every time I'm in town visiting my parents!

My husband and I will not be returning to this studio. We are hoping to go a few times a month to help with stretching. We both are beginners and wasn’t intended to win a gold medal or to compete with the class. Every time we go Leo tend to criticize and belittle us in front of the class. He is very unprofessional and rude. Hopefully they can find someone to replace him.

This studio is a dream. I recently switched to bikram after 15 years of practicing vinyasa. I was very unsure of the additional heat and the repetitious class structure. In less than 4 months, I am notably stronger, I lost 10lbs I wasn’t even aiming for and I have actually regained a few moves I thought I could no longer do (#20 supta vajrasana being my personal highlight). The heat remains difficult for me but is clearly a struggle worth fighting for. I’ve tried almost every teacher, they are across the board passionate and inspirational. Zero pretension, this is a no nonsense studio with infectiously joyful instruction and impactful workouts. I’m so glad I found them and grateful to be practicing here.

I was so delighted to register for a class at this studio today due to the policy posted on the website that practice was permitted with no mask with observation of physical distancing and mask wearing throughout public places. However upon arrival (I had driven from Maryland in order to take this class) I was informed by the instructor that he would not teach a class with anyone not wearing a mask and I was asked to leave the studio. I entered with a mask covering my nose and mouth. I understand that a mask may be required during practice, but then that should be disclosed instead of stating exactly the contrary on the website. Additionally the rudeness and self righteous dismissiveness of the instructor was a horrible representation of this studio.

This really isn't a yoga studio...this is a HOME !!

I've been taking yoga, pilates & barre classes here on and off for almost 5 years now; I'd like to say I'm a regular practitioner but truthfully I'm not. Balancing 2 hrs of Bikram yoga with life, work, injuries & illnesses isn't my forte (and I don't even have kids!)...But even given my struggles with consistency (and notably punctuality..) after *every* extended hiatus, whether it be weeks or months, I am **Always** welcomed back with open arms and *no judgment* whatsoever. It's such a kind, wonderful & inclusive feeling.

They* don't care what you're capable of in the room; they just want you to show up. To be clear, they* want you to show up for YOU; to take 2 hours out of 24 (or 48 or 168 or whatever you can do) for yourself, to get out of your head & into your body and pay attention to what you're doing & how your body feels. When people say "be in the present moment" - this is what they mean.

Other reviews mention Leo, a teacher at BYCH, and he says all the time "Be here now." Bikram is honestly hard work physically, but if you just don't fight the fact that "Okay - I'm here, it's hot, I'm doing it" then it gets a whole lot easier. This studio is not about pushing yourself beyond your ability. It's not about being the ultimate yogi. It's not about proving anything or being perfect ever. *They only want you to listen to your body and do what you're capable of that day. In fact, no one's even looking at you (I promise) and it's the same exact poses every class. If you can't do it today, you can try again tomorrow.

Yes it's a workout. Yes it's hard. Yes it's long. And yes some of it looks & feels weird. Change can be uncomfortable in that way. But Bikram *will* change your body, stretch and tone your muscles, get your heart rate up, make you sweat, clean out your everything, etc. It'll also help you clear your mind, destress, sleep well for once, be selfish in a good way, learn about yourself and the abilities you didn't know you had, etc... For 2 hours, it's kind of a great deal & entirely worth it.

This really isn't a review...this is a testimony.
And no I'm not paid, come on now.
Go to yoga & #TreatYoSelf

P.S: And by "they*" I mean literally everyone who walks through the door.

Oh! And be sure to mention you're new to yoga/Bikram and/or if you have any prior injuries, restrictions, joint pain, etc. to the teacher before class (or during even) and they will help you with adjustments throughout class. Sometimes it seems like everyone there already knows what they're doing, but the truth is that no one is an expert, you just get used to the routine. If you looked around, everyone is doing each pose slightly differently because *every* *body* is built slightly differently. And as you get stronger, the poses progress so it remains challenging. As far as physical activity goes, yoga is very individually adaptive so don't be afraid to ask questions!

I decided to check out this studio, mainly because my favorite instructor, Leo, teaches here, and also because they are offering some outdoor classes. Very welcoming environment and top-notch facility.

I have been to many Bikram studios on the east coast and this is hands down the best. Teachers are very experienced and helpful. The studio is clean and welcoming. I have not had the same experience as the negative reviews and I have been practicing at Chadds Ford for 5 years. Definitely recommend!

I LOVE this studio - I practice at Chadds Ford Bikram Yoga pretty much every day and have for 5+ years! The diversity of classes is wonderful - Bikram yoga, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), & Barre are my favorites. I am over 50 and i think I am more flexible, stronger, have more stamina than I had when I was 20.

If you are considering making a permanent change in your lifestyle, fitness, life - this is the perfect place to do it. You are worth it, so make the plunge - I know it sounds ‘out there’ but yoga will change your life if you let it. I remember thinking when I first started, “How am i going to fit a 90 minute class in my schedule once a week?” Now, I cannot imagine not being there every day.

The teaching staff is amazing, so many YEARS of experience, most of them were doing ‘yoga’ long before it was hip or mainstream. But I agree with another commentary that sometimes the teachers you need the most are those that might not be your initial favorites. As a first timer, I recommended starting with Chris Fluck’s Sat AM class. It tends to be quite large, but there are usually more new-to-yoga folks in that class. He’s great at making new folks feel welcome, plus he makes the class fun!

“You get one life, make it extraordinary” - Leo Einstein, one of favorite teachers.

The facilities are very nice & clean and the locker rooms have showers.

Last but NOT least - this place attracts the most wonderful people. People that help build you up, encourage you, and are there when you need a hand. I love the community of beautiful souls that practice here.

I can't imagine life without this studio! So many of my fellow yogis have become my friends, so I want to go every day to socialize and sweat with them. Nothing better than friends that help you be healthier. All of the instructors have their own style, so if you don't like one, try another. And remember, the ones you don't like ALWAYS have something to teach you about yourself. Leo is one of my favorites, with commentary on spirituality, how we're our own worst enemy, and how doing less can be more. Plus he's funny as hell! The regulars all LOVE the corrections and guidance we get on what we're doing wrong, and how to do the poses better. If you're open to learning, join us! Best yoga studio I've ever been to.

Upon arrival was not greeted at all. The man at the front desk 'Leo' was extremely rude and unaccomidating. When asking where the locker room was i was belittle by the 'teacher' and then begin to yoga and due to having two bad knees from kickboxing when not able to do all the movements. When attempting to make a movement comfortable leo would belittle me in front of the entire class. After keeping my mouth shut and going through the entire class I got up at the end and went to speak with him. Trying not to be confrontational I asked if I could give him constructive criticism. He stated " would you like it if I came to your job and told you what you were doing wrong?" To which I replied yes it would make me a better employee. At which point he walked away saying something about knowing my place or something degrading of that manner. After posting my dissatisfaction on Facebook he then attacked me on Facebook. Very immaturely and unknowledgeable. It's sad that such a nice Studio would have such a bad staff
