If you’re trying to get in shape. John is the trainer to do it. He’s very motivating and can build your program around what your body’s needs are. Nutrition, tailored workouts, and a little fun mixed in is what to expect. I do one on one sessions because I need it and need to be held accountable. Is it worth it? Well, I’m in the best shape of my life at 41 because of John!

Shame on me for not posting yet...I love BoomFit for all the reasons everyone else has stated. I'd add that I came to BoomFit about a year ago, coming off a debilitating back spasms that had persisted for two years or so. I had tried it all: steroid shots, acupuncture, PT, etc. I knew I needed to strengthen my core muscles, but was nervous about aggravating my back or further injury. I'm proud to say I haven't had spasms in 10 months. I feel cured and stronger than ever. John is a great coach and he looks out for all of his BoomFit team. Thanks, Coach!

5 Stars – Amazing Workouts & Energy!
Boom Fit Strength Training is hands down one of the best gyms I’ve been to! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the energy, and a huge part of that comes from John, the instructor. He’s incredibly energetic, motivating, and takes the time to thoroughly explain each movement, making sure everyone is doing it correctly and safely.
The workouts are well-planned, engaging, and keep you on your toes. Whether you’re lifting heavy or working through a high-intensity circuit, you’re always challenged in the best way. Plus, the music playlists are on point—hype, upbeat, and exactly what you need to power through a tough session.
If you’re looking for a gym that pushes you while keeping the vibe fun and supportive, Boom Fit is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Love MY gym. Never felt better about going to a facility and knowing not only will I have a great team to workout with but also a knowledgeable coach! Just show up and Boomfit got the rest, you’ll never have to wander around thinking about what to do next!
John is helpful and can cater his daily routine to fit your fitness level and ailments. I never thought I would be the person who couldn’t get through the week without at least 2-3 workouts!
Boomfit is a great time and I have seen progress/built muscle. If you want to feel strong, healthy and have a great time then try a few classes, you’ll be hooked!

Coach John is the best!! The schedule offers many times for classes so that you can find times that work for you. Classes are kept small so you can get individualized instruction and guidance. I would recommend this gym to anyone who wants to feel stronger and healthier and have fun while doing it!

My experience at Boom Fit has been a great one. There are multiple consecutive classes each weekday so I always feel like I can get there. Coach John tailors workouts to each member depending on age, ability, injury, and personal goals. The vibe is very fun and positive and I’m definitely stronger than when I started.

Hands down, Boomfit is one of my favorite places to be! I've been working with John for almost three years now, and I've seen huge gains in my strength and mobility, that carry over to my everyday life. I've been an athlete my whole life and love working out, staying active and feeling strong- at Boomfit you get a little bit of everything. You'll get mobility work, strength training and fitness/cardio work- and if you're looking for it, guidance on lifestyle and nutrition choices to help you reach your goals. I don't think I've done the same workout twice; and while you will get stronger and fit, John's programming is designed to improve movement and functional everyday activities. Best of all, the atmosphere and community John has nurtured at the gym is safe and fun for all levels of fitness. Just come ready to learn, work and have some fun and you'll fit right in! I can't recommend John or Boomfit highly enough!!

I was fed up with myself. Weight, arthritis, brain fog, lethargy, did I say weight??!!! So many pills for so many things. Thanks to my daughter, Camryn, she encouraged me to just try going to the gym she just discovered. I figured, it couldn't hurt for a week, right?! Well, I was hooked. It's different than any other gym, program, diet, process, etc that I ever tried, and I tried a LOT! John works with my limits but still pushes me to mine. Where I used to have to pull myself up steps by the handrail due to my bad knees, I'm now walking up steps on my own because I'm stronger - more confident. I've made friends at the gym and I actually...yes, actually LIKE going to the gym - because of John. He works with each one of us in the limited class sizes to personalize our plans to progress (progress over perfection) and now, I can't imagine my life without Boomfit going forward. Boomfit is now a permanent part of my journey! Thanks Cam, Thanks John, thanks Boomfit Fam!

I’ve been going to Boom Fit for 8 months and could not be more pleased and happy with how my body feels. My strength, mobility and conditioning have all improved since joining. The progression of John’s programs and daily workouts are unmatched! I’ve experienced many gyms and coaches through the years and John is top notch. I’ll follow Coach John to wherever he’s training! I so appreciate training at BoomFitness. The people who train there are all so nice. But for me it’s all about John’s skills as a coach/trainer, knowledge of the body, wisdom on food …and his DANCE moves! He inspire to be better and reach my goals. I started this journey 3 years ago when he was at another gym. I did excellent in improving all around. He left and it just wasn’t the same energy and knowledge. I’ll be 50 this year and I was blaming perimenopause. Only to learn I just wasn’t in the right program for me. If you desire to improve, I suggest you come to Boom!

Best gym experience ever. Coach John is truly one of a kind. His knowledge, motivation, and level of care are unmatched. Coming in as a person who would find it hard to make it to the gym and eventually fall off of schedule. I realized quickly the missing piece was Coach John. I can now say I’ve been consistently going to the gym for a year and a half. I’ve never felt healthier. The gym members create a great community and I’ve made good friends. I’d recommend BoomFit to anyone. Beginner or advanced, old or young. The world would be a better place if more people went to BoomFit!!

BoomFit has changed my life! I walked into BoomFit with minimal experience working out, and from day one John made me feel welcomed and a part of something bigger! Our coach, John, at BoomFit Strength is amazing! He pushes you outside of your comfort zone with words of encouragement, skill and trust. He’s an amazing human being that truly loves what he does and you can SEE that. There’s a culture and atmosphere at the gym centered around group motivation, friendship and FUN! I’ve been working out consistently for the past 8 years. However, that doesn’t mean my workouts were always consistent. I tried everything and would always get bored and move on to the next trend. BoomFit is the only place I’ve actually committed to for the past 2 years. I see results, I feel stronger, and the community is extremely motivating. I have been working out since my 20's, and have had memberships to several gyms over the years. Boom Fit is a very unique gym. Co-owner and head coach John Baxter is the most knowledgeable, motivated, articulate, creative, inspiring, passionate, and motivating coach I have ever known and worked with. He is a life-changer. He truly loves what he does, and he genuinely wants to see his clients progress in overall fitness, health, and wellbeing. He will not take your money and then not care whether you show up or not. He truly wants to see you at the gym, and holds you accountable. He works harder than any coach I have ever seen to help you learn how to do the functional metabolic and strength workouts properly so as to prevent injury and to see progress in yourself. (And if something is hurting, or you are compromised in some way, John knows exactly how to advise you with modifications.) He motivates you so that you can motivate yourself and others. Speaking of others -- the vibe in this gym is amazing! These are small group workouts and there are no cliques! Everyone is supportive and encouraging of one another. Co-owner and media manager Michael keeps the tunes coming throughout each workout, with a professional setup like no other gym around. This adds to the fun and motivating vibe. I had worked out with John at another facility for a few years pre-pandemic. When I recently found myself in tough spot physically and emotionally, and knew I needed to get back to working out consistently, I learned that John had his own gym. It was the perfect timing -- I am all in 100% with workouts and nutrition, and being motivated, taught and held accountable by John. In less than four weeks I am feeling more fit, more energy overall, and in a much better mental space than I've been in awhile. I feel like I am getting ME back, and to this I owe John a huge thank-you. His workouts are intense -- sometimes I struggle to finish them -- but with his encouragement to keep working AND stay in my lane -- I have complete faith that I will meet my mental and physical health and fitness goals within a few months or so, and will maintain them longterm. John and Michael are legit good people. They truly care about their business -- and their business is YOU, the client. Down to earth, the real deal, genuine people, gettin' it done. I highly recommend John Baxter and Boom Fit for anyone looking to improve their physical fitness.
I have been involved in athletics from childhood, competing on state championship tennis teams and continued varied fitness regimens throughout my life (I am currently 34). I have done a half marathon, played in tennis leagues, and worked with different trainers and even PT when I would run into any pains.
I can say without a doubt that John Baxter's knowledge and concern is best in class - and he is continuously learning and expanding his knowledge base. His workouts are always dynamic and focused on safe, intelligent, athletic methods of training rather than simply "weight loss" or "building big muscles." Don't get me wrong - John has kept me as fit as I have ever been, but the training goes so much deeper than superficial or static goals.
Furthermore, I have seen him simultaneously coach multiple levels of fitness yet somehow make it the most engaging, fun and sincerely down-to-earth environment. When you are in a group training with John, the celebration and value is not the person who is lifting the most or grunting the loudest; it is individual and based on continued improvement, learning, and general positive attitude. The results naturally follow.
My last note: this is more than just the fitness training itself. John is also as patient as anyone I have ever known. Coupled with his energizer-bunny store of positive attitude, I promise that no matter what you throw at him by means of frustration, doubt, excuses, etc., you will be met with a disarming, comforting, and inspiring response. It is really amazing and that is why I believe he is the best coach I have ever known.
