Well I had decided that I would like to get into better shape and lose weight. Once I had visited CC they did an evaluation of what my goals would possibly be and make sure I was able to do some tasks. After that and going there I realized that it's a lot deeper than just picking things up and putting them down. They paid attention to every move making sure that I was having the same range with both arms and legs. Watching my positioning, making sure that I wouldn't injure myself. They kept me motivated, helping me to breathe, stretch and work on my core. The biggest hidden item that I never understood was "CORE" and that is something that is overlooked by others!!!
This place has made a difference in my life, lifestyle, motivation, capabilities and attitude. I'm definitely a happier person. That deserves a 10!

I needed to find a way to improve my range of motion in a safe way, but where to start? The individualized assessment and the customized plan laid out by Angi and her team is EXACTLY what I needed. Knowing that I am doing the correct exercise in the correct way to improve my range of motion and achieve my personal goals has been really empowering. And I feel great! Best thing I ever did....is to join CCF. I am challenged, but not beyond my capabilities, and my trainer, Jon keeps me striving to improve my fitness standard. I may have to attend 3 times a week soon. All the staff at CCF are fantastic, whichever one you work with. Now I just have to get my hydration to the right level for me.

I am the last person to promote exercise in any form. I’m not a big fan of it. However I am not young anymore. I don’t want to loose my independence or be a burden to my children.
So I started at Carlisle Core….. yes a gym!! But most of the clients here look like me: female, older, never been to gym in their life, physically weak and very dubious to the fact that a gym could actually work for them.
It’s the little things that keep me going back. Getting out of the bathtub without assistance. Getting up off the floor, again without assistance. Having energy to do things around my house. Out walking the dog for the first time in my life.
Finally, the staff is not a bunch of gym rats. They really understand you as a person, what our goals are and help us to reach them.

It seemed more of a sales pitch than anything else. There was a point to where the person told me I should sign up for a different gym. I think a phone interview is honestly a waste of time because you lose all the nuances of a face-to-face. I'm sure it's a very good program but I never had the chance to check it out.

I am excited Coach Jon has done a reoccurring review of my goals and progress to date and has designed a new program for me focusing on balance, hip and leg strength and upper body strength. I have been going to Carlisle Core for five months and it has made such a huge difference in my life. I went from living with daily pain and constantly making sacrifices to now conquering goals I never thought I could have. Angie has been there for me with encouragement and help. I’ve been taught more than how to exercise. It’s a mindset change. I look forward to seeing how the next five months change me further. For some people, it can be easy to decide to take control of your health and get more physically fit. When physical limitations have developed, however, the average person might not know exactly what the correct approach and method will be to get strong again. At Carlisle Core Fitness and Health I underwent an evaluation of capabilities and limitations, and then communicated to the team my goals. Jon, who works with me, uses expertise I do not have, careful and close observation and gradual challenges in order to help me make progress. He is thorough, patient and encouraging. I am seeing small improvements in my daily life after 4 weeks, and I have a more optimistic outlook on what I think I'll get back to being able to do as the weeks and months go on. After our first meeting Angi said, "Get ready to change your life," and I know this is happening already.

This gym is fantastic! It is a very friendly and welcoming group. It's conveniently located in town and near the War College. The facilities are clean, well laid out, and it's well equipped for training for the ACFT if you're military. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and they have terrific programs!

CrossFitters & War College Students Beware…

Owners Angi and Bob Halverson displayed a significant lack of integrity. They violated the terms of their own contract with gym members (see photo) by increasing the monthly membership fee before the term of the membership contract expired. I would never do business with them again in any capacity and would caution anyone who is considering doing business with them.

My wife and I joined Carlisle CrossFit in August 2021. We signed a 12-month membership contract and agreed to pay $125 per month for 12 months. The last paragraph of this membership contract stated that it was binding between the member and Carlisle CrossFit (see photo).

In March 2022, Angi notified all Carlisle CrossFit members in an email that the monthly rate would increase to $165 per month and the billing cycle would no longer be monthly (she switched to every four weeks) effective 1 April 2022.

We approached Angi with a copy of our contract to verify that this would not apply to us until our initial 12 month commitment was up. She said that she viewed the document as an agreement, not a contract, despite the fact that it was titled a “membership contract” and the last paragraph explicitly stated that it was a binding contract.

In an email, Angi said that she “had our membership agreement reviewed by our attorneys and their opinion is that there is nothing in the membership agreement that precludes us from raising the rates as deemed necessary to maintain viable business operations” (she refuses to refer to the document as a contract).

In short, Angi and Bob violated their own membership contract with only three weeks notice. We had no issues with an increase in the monthly rate or changes to the billing cycle, but I think that they had a responsibility to honor the written commitments that they made with their members. If this isn’t a complete lack of integrity, I don’t know what is…

I went here to use their body scanning machine. The staff was super friendly and you were greeted by an adorable golden retriever dog who just wanted all the love. The gym seemed clean and well organized. I'm sure that it's a great place to workout.

I have been working one on one with Angi Halverson of Carlisle Cross fit for about 7 weeks now. When I came to Angi I was 9 months post partum from the birth of my third baby. While I had 3 beautiful, healthy pregnancies they left my body broken and weak. My abdominal muscles had severely split which left my core weak. I was dealing with chronic back and neck pain and some days even having issues lifting my baby. I was weak and knew I needed to work hard to get back to where I was prior to my 3 pregnancies. I was very apprehensive to jump into any gym routines on my own and really needed one on one guidance. Angi has been wonderful. She has been very understanding of my need to start slow. She has been so encouraging every step of the way. In the short 7 weeks I have made some major progress. Life around my house with my kids has become physically better. I have so much more energy, my back and neck pain have lessened greatly and I am feeling all together so much stronger. Never in my life have I been able to do a single push up. I was able to complete 30 the other day during our workout. I cannot say enough good things about what Angi has to offer. Angi puts so much thought and planning into each of our sessions, she tailors each workout to keep me motivated. I have never done the same workout twice with her. Angi is so knowledgeable, and motivating every step of the way. She has not only got me back into the gym but she has me loving it again!!

My 7 year old son goes here for the kids CrossFit, and absolutely loves it. The coach is amazing and knows how to speak kid! 😉 I think the programs are designed with a lot of thought; introducing CrossFit in a fun way, building on skills, and of course games! My son could not jump rope at first, now he’s trying to get double unders!
Everyone is very friendly. The price is good and there are 2 classes/ week, 45 minutes each. Definitely recommend!

Carlizzle Crossfit isn't just a crossfit gym. As the only non-crossfitter here I can honestly say that Dustin also isn't one sided when it comes to everyone's fitness goals. He's helped me a lot with all of my powerlifting exercises and pushing me along. As for facilities ,he's got a better place then any gym in town (including Golds). Everyone over at Carlizzle is constantly pushing one another and it's a such a great environment. Plus, it's nice being at a gym that has actual athletes and not just gym rats. I recommend this place to EVERYONE I meet.

No question the best box I have been too. I have been a part of three boxes across the country, Kentucky, Kansas, and now here. A phenomenal and personal atmosphere. Friendly, with a tight and supportive community. The coaches are not only amazing at their jobs but just good people. They ability to catch minor flaws on a lift from across the room is impeccable. The WOD times have such a personal feel to them and with most coaches showing up for all the WODs you are almost guaranteed one on one coaching during the workouts.
