I have been going to Celli's for 6 years now. They are a locally owned gym that has an amazing community feel. The owners are extremely knowledgable and willing to teach you how to use equipment or give you any advice. They have quality equipment for beginner and expert weight lifters. It's less about machines and more about dumbells and barbells which is important for those that are serious about their weight lifting.
Definitely check them out if you are looking for a good locally owned gym in Pittsburgh.

I walked in for a tour on July 17th and have absolutely fallen in love with this place. No need to feel self conscious or ashamed. Every single person is doing their own thing. The owners are always there never judge. The only way anyone would coach you unsolicited is if they saw you're about to get hurt. I didn't want a trendy gym, I wanted to go work out and feel like a baddy when I left. Mission accomplished! Thank you Dana & Ryan!

Celli’s has what you need to obtain any number of fitness goals whether that be in powerlifting, bodybuilding, calisthenics, cardio, etc. There is plenty of equipment, and the open hours fit well with my work schedule. I varied my workouts from full-body lifts to HIIT workouts with kettlebells and the gym accommodated it all. Additionally, Ryan and his family make you feel part of the gym community and are committed consistently upgrading equipment and maintaining a clean space. 10/10 recommend.

Cellis Fitness Gym is absolutely amazing! I signed up about a year ago, having never been to a gym before, and it’s been a life-changing experience. I started personal training with Dana, and she has truly helped me reach my full potential. Her guidance, encouragement, and expertise have made a huge difference in my fitness journey.

I’m also incredibly grateful for the support and motivation from Ryan, Dana, and Noah. The entire team is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely invested in helping members succeed. The gym has a great atmosphere and even brings inventive, fun ways to use the equipment that keep things fresh and exciting.

Thank you, Cellis Fitness, for creating such a positive space. I couldn't have asked for a better place to start and continue my fitness journey!

I contacted Ryan to help me with my squat, bench, and deadlift. We did three personal training sessions - one for each lift. I was very impressed with his level of knowledge and ability to teach. I have a home gym, so I chose to do online coaching with Ryan. I am on my fifth week of training with him and all my nagging injuries are feeling better if not completely gone. I am getting stronger every week and feel better than ever. I also train jiujitsu and was struggling to do both jiujitsu and lifting without burning out. Ryan appears to have found the perfect balance. I am doing way better in both and can’t wait to see where I am in a year.

Celli’s Fitness Center is an amazing gym! Owners Ryan, Dana, and Noah are passionate, accomplished, and knowledgable lifters and coaches. Always willing to help and enjoyable to interact with - They’re great people. As are the members - Celli’s consistently maintains an A+ gym culture.
Featuring quite literally every piece of equipment someone could ask for, the facility is outfitted with an array of squat racks, deadlifting platforms, benches, specialty bars, weights, machines, and cardio equipment that provides members the opportunity to train for any and all fitness/performance/lifting goals. The training spaces and locker rooms are always very clean and well-maintained, too.
In sum, I’ve exclusively had positive experiences training at Celli’s, and would highly recommend their facility to anyone at any point on their fitness/performance/lifting journey.

Celli's is a great place to workout. They have a wide range of machines, bodybuilding, power lifting, and functional fitness equipment. The people in the gym are very respectful. I have trained at this gym for 9 months and never experienced negative gym etiquette. Moreover, Dana and Ryan are great people. They talk to you when you come in and care about you as a person, not just a number.

Celli's is the best gym in which I’ve ever trained! I have been consistently lifting weights for a decade and have seen a wide variety of gyms over that period, but I have not seen a gym that has been better equipped than Celli's. As one of the greatest powerlifters of all time, the owner Ryan Celli put his expertise to full use when designing the gym and determining which equipment will be most valuable to the members. Whether you are looking to improve your health and general fitness or reach advanced levels of physical performance, Celli’s will have what you need to accomplish your goals and become the best version of yourself.

A year ago, I walked into Celli’s and met the owner. After my first powerlifting competition, he told me, “If you ever want to take powerlifting seriously, train with me”—without even asking my numbers. Unsure if this is because I’m a woman or that’s unrelated.
Last week, I gave the gym another shot. I planned to do a drop-in, but the owner insisted I sign up. Since then, I’ve been repeatedly scolded for:
- Taking phone calls, even with headphones.
- Filming more than just my top set (which then ended up out of frame).
- Filming accessories, despite needing to track an injury.
- Having my tripod at a visible height, even though I ensure no one else is in frame.
The worst was when I filmed myself alone in the bathroom mirror (fully clothed), stopped as soon as the owner’s wife walked in, yet still got chewed out. That same day, the gym posted a rant calling social media lifters “fame-seekers” while selectively endorsing/ reposting others’ Instagram posts.
I left feeling anxious about getting yelled at again. None of these “rules” were communicated upfront—I was just reprimanded after the fact.

Easily our favorite gym that we've been members of. Plenty of high quality equipment, including more specialized items like a reverse hyper. Owners are amazing folks with so much experience that they are always happy to share. We feel very comfortable in the space and find it to be a respectful atmosphere. Great for serious lifters but also those of us who love lifting but are a little less serious about it.

I've been going to Celli's Fitness for a few months now, and it’s easily the best gym experience I’ve had. The atmosphere and culture are incredible; everyone here is supportive, and the community vibe makes each visit something I genuinely look forward to.

I recently took a squat masterclass with Ryan Celli himself, and I can't recommend it enough! Ryan’s expertise and mental cues helped me finally get comfortable with this dynamic movement, and my confidence has skyrocketed. I don't know that there could be any place better. I trained with Ryan on the big three compound lifts and it was the best experience I could've ever hoped for. Ryan really takes the time to break things down and explain why you're doing something or why he's changing something without making anything overly complicated. My form, knowledge, and confidence have all improved greatly since working with Ryan. The facility itself is immaculate and well maintained. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Celli's!

Whether you are a serious athlete or just want to get fitter and stronger, Celli's has everything you could want. It's family run, meticulously clean, and friendly community atmosphere.

Well stocked with quality equipment: a wide selection of cardio, free weights and weight machines. Exceptional powerlifting facilities: squat racks, monolifts, benches, deadlift platforms, tons of specialty bars, reverse hyper, GHR, bands, chains, chalk, etc.

Dana and Ryan are experienced coaches and accomplished lifters. Ryan was able to, in just a few sessions, find the powerlifting techniques that were efficient for me and that I've been using ever since.

I moved to Pittsburgh for what I thought was only going to be 3 months and ended up staying a year. Since I try to workout as much as possible in my home gym back home the first thing I needed to find was a gym and I don't like the big box gyms. I found Cellis, scheduled an appointment and knew right away when I walked in, met Ryan and saw all the equipment he has and all his trophies that this was the place. Cellis Gym is clean, well organized, and well equipped. They have it all, from cardio, to machines, to benches, squat racks, etc. If you are looking for great gym without all the fluff then you have to try Celli's you won't be disappointed. I never once had to wait to use any equipment. Ryan and his wife run the place and they are some of the nicest most down to earth people I have met in Pittsburgh. I am going to miss this place.

Ryan is an amazing online personal trainer. Since working with him for a bit over a year I've added muscle, learned a ton about lifting, am breaking old PRs, and getting injured way less while lifting heavier weights. I have been a member now for an entire year. First of all the price is a bargain for what you get out of this place. Most other gyms in the surrounding area don’t have the extensive equipment like Cellis, and if they do they have a tiered pricing system to be able to access other certain speciality equipment. It’s a family run gym so not only do you get an amazing array of equipment you also get a sense of community. This gym has members who have been training there for countless years. Ryan and Dana also offer personal training services that you can partake in which you’re getting 1 on 1 personal training from vetted bodybuilding and powerlifting champions. You can ask a question about a machine or a movement and they’ll take time out of their day to help you be better. I don’t have one bad thing to say about this place. Even on my worst day I walk out of Cellis feeling stronger and most importantly better mentally. Cellis is not just a gym it’s a community.

Ryan Celli is one of the best trainers I've ever had. I had some very specific goals when it came to lifting and building strength and I was excited to have him work with me and create a specific routine so I could achieve those.

Ryan is very patient and knowledgeable and thoroughly explains the details of each exercise as we go - the form, what part of the body it works, how it works, the small variations and so much more!

This is a world class gym with amazing owners and I couldn't recommend it more!

Not the best gym. Expensive for what it is and many of the machines are old, seemingly from the 80s. Ryan and Dana were also rude at times and would complain about basic lifting such as "deadlifting too loud", which is unequivocally not an issue unless they are buying low end platforms. Instead, I would recommend either Union Fitness or Powerhouse Gym.

I am a general surgery resident and amateur lifter living in Pittsburgh. I have been squatting, benching, and deadlifting for 10 years off and on and thought I had it all figured out. My PRs were BP 245, SQ 365, DL 365. So naturally I thought I’d check a real powerlifting gym out, get some pointers, and make some gains. I met Ryan Celli and signed up for an intro package of just the main lifts. I was blown away. He has completely changed my understanding of the main lifts. As soon as I implemented his tips, I felt more stable and powerful. I cannot recommend this gym and Ryan highly enough. He is a master of his craft and a phenomenal teacher. My favorite part of traveling to different hospitals this year has been meeting people and trying out different gyms. This is how I ended up meeting Ryan Celli (World record holder in powerlifting and the owner of Celli's Fitness gym ). Ryan is an absolute monster in the gym but very humble and is always willing to help and share his wisdom. He took his time and dedicated it to fixing my poverty bench, poverty squats, and poverty deadlifts. He is an amazing individual and has a wealth of knowledge. Spending 3 days with him working on my form was very insightful and I am sure will result in many positive outcomes in my strength training and just life in general.

In April 2017, I joined Celli's Fitness to learn more about weight training and power lifting. I started off training with Dana Celli and immediately loved coming into the gym and working with her.

Not only is this gym supportive of it members to reach their fitness goals, but it's a small community of folks who have something to bring to one another and learn from. Thank you, Dana and Ryan Celli!

If you're looking for a place to TRAIN and not go through the motions this is where you come. Best hardcore gym in Pittsburgh, this is where you come to crush PRs. Knowledgeable staff and plenty of equipment for any sort of programming. It has a monolift, power racks, bands, chains, boxes, Texas power bars, Rogue bars, Texas deadlift bar, Texas squat bar, iron Wolfe squat bar, and every other specialty bar you can think of. Also if you're a beginner and want to learn how to lift safely and correctly I highly recommend coming here and learning to do it right the first time around.

I've lived in Miami, Michigan, and pittsburgh. Without doubt, best gym I've been too. Very friendly, amazing lifters. All people are welcomed, from rookies (me) to professional competitors. Extremely fare price and wayyyyyy better than Golds, YMCA etc.

Went on a Sunday morning and got a great lift in. Place is equipped with enough equipment for the raw or geared powerlifter, bodybuilder, oly lifter and fighter. Steve was the front desk manager and he was incredibly helpful and delightful and chatted us up for a bit. Overall awesome experience.
