They had keep charging me after I cancelled my membership directly with the owner. If my husband and I haven’t lost our job after pandemic, I would’ve definitely continued my membership but this is something they should take in consideration, I had reported them through my bank but still they try to charge me after that. Now they want to collect $500ish dollars and be reported to Bad debt if not paid my credit will be affected big time. I haven’t showed up since after pandemic but still I paid 2montgs even if I didn’t show up, but after cancelling and speaking with the owner u guys would still charge me?? That is insane.

This was a great class. Mindy is an excellent instructor, I'd stopped as a drop in last minute and it was worth it.

The gym itself is great. I loved the workouts and the instructors. The owner though, leaves A LOT to be desired.

A global pandemic hit and the gym was temporarily closed for months. I was not charged for my membership during that time and they posted online workouts all the time. It was great. When the gym opened back up, I did not feel comfortable coming into the gym since the space was so small, masks were not required, and I did not want to risk getting my household sick. I have also been working from home since March and live 28 miles away. I would not have been able to make it to any of the in person classes. In August asked the owner, Elyse, if I could put my membership on a freeze until the end of the year since that’s when my office was planning on having people come back in person. She said she would and I would need to pay $10 a month for the freeze compared to the full membership price. I approved the $10 a month charge.

Instead, I was still repeatedly charged the full membership price. In October, I tried to contact Elyse multiple times by the email that she had previously used to communicate with me, no response. I tried calling the gym many different days at different times during the day, no answer and no possibility to leave a message. The phone just rang and rang, until it finally said “please enter your secure access code”. I finally drove to the gym and no one was there. I tried to Facebook message, no response.

I finally got a response by emailing another email listed on the Facebook page in November. I told her at this point, I would like to cancel my membership because I am probably going to have to keep working from home for good and do not want to keep getting charged to not be able to use the gym. When Elyse responded, she ignored my cancellation request and said she would look into the freeze as they had “a new billing team that started in September so I want to make sure they didn’t override your account.” I answered again, stating I would like to cancel my membership.

Elyse finally answered and said that she would subtract one month’s charge from the cancellation fee and that I would need to fill out a cancellation form, as well. I filled out the form, approved the cancellation charge, and stated that I would like a receipt of the cancellation and charge for my records. A week went by with no response or receipt. IN THE MEANTIME, I WAS CHARGED ANOTHER FULL MONTH’S MEMBERSHIP FEE. I took a screenshot of the charge on my credit card and forwarded her that, as well. No response. I finally chose to dispute the charge with my credit card.

It is now December. It took two weeks for a response and it was not even from Elyse. It was from a girl named Angela who works at the front desk and was nicer in one email than Elyse was throughout this whole experience. She immediately cancelled my membership. I would assume the only reason that I got a response was due to the fact that I disputed the charge with my credit card, and that the night that I received a response just so happened to be the night that Governor Wolf decided to close down gyms for 3 weeks again so they were probably emailing members about the latest state restrictions.

I loved this gym because the workouts were great and it made me fall in love with boxing. The owner has left me with such a sour experience that I will never recommend this gym to anyone now. Go somewhere else. The owner just wants your money and will avoid responding to you but keep charging you repeatedly.

Working out here has changed my entire attitude about fitness and my body for the better. The excellent instructors challenge you in all the best ways while making sure you're staying safe and healthy (providing alternate sets to accommodate any specific injuries/needs you may have). I've never felt better or stronger and I definitely owe it to this training.

I decided to first give it a trial and see if boxing suited my fitness routine. Absolutely loved these classes!!! Elyse (the owner) is wonderful. She is currently pregnant but still teaches some classes and is an inspiration to all women. All the other instructors are super great and friendly as well. My personal favorite is Randy as he pushes you to go above and beyond. He focuses a lot on technique which helps box in the correct way and not just punching the bag. Unfortunately I was moving to another city so I had to cancel my membership but boxing has become part of my life now and I want to thank CKO for the same.
