Nice ish course wouldn’t be any issues if the pace wasn’t awful. Over 5 hour round waiting for two groups to tee off on every hole. Would take 20 minutes to finish a hole and then hit the tee shot on the next hole. No clue why the tee times are so close together and why there’s no ranger.

The course is generally nice but the pace of play is absolutely awful. no ranger anywhere to be found. im currently sitting on 15 tee, one group on green and another waiting to hit. we started at 1220 and its 422...we have 4 holes left!!! worse pace of play ive ever experienced in 30 years of golf. would not recommend, not likely to come back

Feel fortunate I survived my round here. People hitting into you while we waited on every hole. Finally we had enough and hit the ball back at him. Same guy driving his cart 3 feet from the green. Playing with his teenage son. Really setting a good example. Round was almost 5 hours. Absolutely ridiculous. Shame because it's priced right and has a nice layout.

Played on Saturday this past weekend in a foursome and had a Marshall approach us on hole 9 to tell us we were “slow as molasses,” and needed to play faster. He claimed we were not sticking to a hole every 15 minutes but when I checked the time we had been doing a hole every 12. Marshall’s have no reason to harass golfers playing at an acceptable pace. Won’t be back my money clearly wasn’t wanted

Worst pace of play in York county. Played today and left after 9 which took me 2 1/2 hours as a single. This is the second time I’ve had to leave before the end of the round. Not sure what the problem is, could be tee times too close or since it’s cheap a lot of beginners and older folks go there. Horribly slow. Won’t play again.

My only complaint about the course is that the senior tees are very close to the whites. When you are playing with guys 15 to 20 years younger it's hard to stay competitive. Other than that the course was in good shape. Staff is friendly and the rates are fair.

Went golfing here over Labor Day weekend, hours say they are open until 8:30 but we were kicked off the course at 6:43. Sun was still out AFTER we drove the whole way back to the parking lot, unloaded our bags and returned the carts. I guess they are to privileged to work a full shift.

Very nice course. Priced well. Staff was super friendly and starter was attentive to make sure groups wouldn't get backed up if possible. At the turn the lady at the bar was very efficient and service a smile. Greens were nice. This place is a 5 star value. May be my new spot in York county.

Two stars because the course is nice and well maintained but the staff is abrasive. There's plenty of other courses where you'll be treated better.

I asked for an additional cart for our foursome so I could bring my nephew along for the 9 holes. They actually told me my nephew would need to walk. I told her I would pay for the additional cart but she wouldn't budge. I left a message for the GM and he never returned my call. I called three other courses and all three were happy to rent an additional cart so my nephew could join us. We cancelled our tee times and took both our foursomes to another course.

Played CC for the first time today. Quite enjoyable overall. Nice layout. Great condition. Excellent rate w/ cart. Only downside was getting behind a very slow foursome, taking 4 1/2 hrs for our round (no Rangers in sight). Looking forward to going back for another round soon.

I really like this place and have played here for years. Fairways are good. There is no first cut. Straight into the crab grass. I know it's been a tough year though. Staff was really friendly so don't get reviews that say otherwise

Cool Creek is a great value, especially for a senior with the senior rate. I only played 9 holes but course was in great shape. Nice and green ⛳ Friendly staff. Course plays easier if you stay in the fairways, rough was fairly long but was able to find any wayward shots. I would consider this course fairly wide open, at least the front nine. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

I play at CCGC on a weekly basis. I'd describe it as having a lot of character with its tall trees, water hazards, and elevation changes. This course has some challenging holes and some that aren't, but more importantly, it is a fair test of your skill. You are rewarded for your good shots and penalized for your bad ones. I have always found CCGC to be in great condition. When some courses are dry... you'll find CCGC is still in good shape. The greens are consistent... and will hold most shots that land on them. And because of the price, you'll be able to afford a cold beverage and something to eat after your round. Play here!

1st time here. My brother and I only hit the driving range. Extremely friendly staff. Nate the club director was very helpful and went above and beyond with helping me with clubs to use.

At first, I was very impressed with the good customer service, starter efficiency and first tee box. Unfortunately, they allowed a drunk foresome off two groups ahead of our group. This became literally the slowest round ever. Another group caught up so we played as a fivesome. After three hours and only 12 holes, we opted to skip the group and play ahead of them. We were already two holes ahead of them by hole 15 and the ranger scolded us for playing as a fivesome. I pointed out that group and also mentioned that there was no one in site behind us. In a stern voice, he said... "Well, you better make sure you stay on pace". This is my first time and last time playing here. The price of 24 bucks is not worth the ridiculousness of what we experienced. I'm giving it a 3 star verses a 1 star because the fairways, rough and greens were in great shape.

Today, my group was followed for 5 holes by "Rangers". They just watched us and didn't say anything. It made us uncomfortable while playing. Finally they approached our group and told us to pick up the pace of play. We were on the tee box when this happened and the group behind us was just teeing off on the Par 5 we just finished!! We were blamed for the congestion behind that group, when clearly they were the problem! We finished our foursome round in 3 hours and 45 mins, hardly slow play.... The group behind us finished 2 holes back of us. This was my first time at Cool Creek, and I was never told to pick up pace of play in my life. This experience was rude and unprofessional.

Follow up from management was that we were the problem... unbelievable.

Also, course was not maintained well. High rough and dead grass laying on top.

There are plenty of better courses to play in York with friendly and welcoming staff.

This is a great course for a casual round with friends. I also enjoy bringing my young son along to play with me. The front nine are pretty flat, but not without their challenges, whereas the back nine have a lot of elevation changes and feature the namesake cool creek!

Cool Creek Golf has a very interesting layout. The front nine is generally pretty flat and straight forward while the back nine features many elevation changes and water hazards. They have excellent specials which make this a fun spot for a casual round of golf with your buddies. Also kid friendly - my young son plays there with me often.

My wife and I can not speak highly enough of Cool Creek. We used their banquet room for our wedding and were incredibly impressed by everything. The team was so accommodating and went the extra mile to make our special day memorable. While their number one business is not venue rentals, this place is an absolute steal with a unique layout and A+ staff.

I know it was Labor Day but the pace of play was excruciatingly slow. It was difficult to tell what was fairway and what was rough. Although it was only $35, I'm not sure it was even worth that much. That was my last round at Cool Creek and I had to stop after 13 holes and 4 hours because it was that bad!

I played this course on 6/4 after a week of hard rain. Course was in awesome shape. I didn't have a bad lie all day (rough or fairway). Pace of play was also great considering it was a busy Saturday, and the afternoon price can't be beat.

I initially gave this course a terrible review, but after playing it again and thinking better about it I'm changing my vote. The grounds are still pretty bad. They did trim the rough down to something manageable, and we'll see if they keep up with it. The grass is still weeds and straw and the fairways are at best hard mud, at worst concrete with grass on top. The views aren't anything special either. You'll see state roads, a dirty little creek and a cornfield. The tee times are far too close together on weekends. Play it during the week because it's not bad and the price is right. On weekends, it's over priced and over crowded for what you get.

Absolutely THE BEST bang for the buck in the Central PA region. I have played every quality course and I keep coming back here because the quality shows. The green are perfect, fairways are VERY well taken care of, and no weeds. The tee box's are outstanding as well. For $25, you can't beat this place and it is wide open for you guys who slice the ball like I do at times as well...haha. Play it, and it is worth driving in from MD to play!
