I absolutely love this place! The coaches are amazing, always supportive and motivating. The community is so kind and welcoming, you immediately feel part of the family. The classes are challenging but so much fun, and the energy is just addictive. Honestly, going here has become my daily motivation, and I never want to miss a class. Best CrossFit box ever!

I did two drop ins here during a work trip to Philly. The facility is really nice, the workouts well planned, and both coaches were great. I am relatively new to Crossfit, but they provided great guidance when I needed correction. Very much an encouraging atmosphere, not a high pressure atmosphere. Even if you are staying closer toward Center City, it is hard to beat a beautiful walk through Society Hill to come here for a workout.

If you’re looking for a CrossFit gym in South Philly that balances intensity with an incredibly welcoming atmosphere, this is the place. From day one, I felt like part of the community—there’s no pressure to fit a certain mold.
What really stands out is the diversity of people who train here. You’ll see all ages, fitness levels, and backgrounds working side by side, each adapting the workouts to their own ability while still being challenged. The programming is demanding but never overwhelming, with coaches who know how to push you while keeping it fun.
Whether you’re new to CrossFit or have been doing it for years, this gym offers an environment where you’ll be supported, challenged, and motivated to come back.

This gym is filled with coaches and community who take fitness and health seriously, while not taking themselves too seriously. I can't recommend this spot enough - been a longtime member and have had countless days in which the best part of the day was my hour there. Give this place a shot - your physical and mental health will greatly benefit and you'll likely make some new friends and have a little fun. Go birds.

TLDR - if you want a local gym w/ challenging classes and nice people, you should consider a visit to check this place out.
I just recently started attending this gym. I've never been a "gym person" by any means and so I put a fair amount of thought into where to go. I did a trial here because I'd heard good things, and I liked the idea of group classes for some level of accountability, instruction, and community.
I've done classes w/ Bob, Gina, and Maren and they're all great. They are patient and encouraging of beginners like myself, but still push you to work hard. They all do a really nice job. of managing the classes given that there's usually a wide range of athletic ability (beginners like myself, all the way up thru seasoned/competitive cross fitters). Other folks in the classes/community are all helpful and ego-free, too, in my experience.

Been coming to this gym for 3 years, it’s my second CrossFit gym and it’s amazing! The atmosphere here is great! The coaches are awesome. They know their shit and if you’re injured they will help you scale workouts according to your injury. If you’re looking for an awesome workout with great people 2st is the place!

The name CrossFit can seem intimidating but this gym is anything but. I am a 55/yr woman and I will never go back to any other type of workout. The coaching staff is top notch, they all know their stuff and they are super helpful. It is because of this gym that I am stronger today than I was 20 years ago! It is because of this gym that I was able to run my first Broad Street run (10 miles). Sure I work out with people half my age but wow everyone is so supportive and it is a great community. I love it here! Do yourself a favor and check it out. First class is free!!!

I thought crossfit would be intimidating, but it's totally not. At least, not here. Coaches & fellow athletes are the most kind & supportive folks here. There's a good mix of beginners & advanced athletes, and some fun events throughout the year (that often involve just as much food & drinks as there would be sweat). If you're looking for community, this is it!

Love this gym. Coaches are knowledgeable and supportive. Workouts are fun and challenging. I also appreciate that this gym is a place for all levels, genders, and ages. It has a great community vibe to the point people even occasionally bring their kids to workouts and there are regular social events. At this point I don’t think I can return to a regular gym - too boring and would never get as fit as I do here.

I have never been a consistent gym goer. I always get discouraged and give up. I joined this gym because I was looking for a community and that is exactly what I found. The coaches and members are all so encouraging and supportive. I have been a member for 6 months and this is the longest I’ve continuously worked out. I just changed my member to 12 months cause I’m not going anywhere. Before joining I hadn’t worked out in over 2 years. And now I’m going 3 days a week. Highly

I am not a gym person! Barbells freak me out and yet, I’ve enjoyed being a part of this gym/ community for almost 2 years. George, Maura, Jessa, Gina and all the other coaches are endlessly patient and encouraging. They will find movements and modifications that fit for everyone. I’ve done a lot of different workout routines in my life and this is the strongest, most in shape I’ve ever been. Highly recommend.

I've Been a member for 8 years. I started there when I was 57 and I'm now 65.. The coaching is great the members are wonderful it feels like family we compete with each other we hang out together. it's the best place to really focus on form, function, nutrition and have fun at the same time. This place has been a godsend to me. The workouts are tough but everyone cheers you in and supports you till the end. The workouts are modified if you need them to be but they still challenge you. We set goals and help each other achieve them.

Great experience! I was a member here for about a year and these guys are great. Coaches here will ensure you get a good workout and help you if you are new to Crossfit. When I left I had to cancel mid contract and I didn't have to deal with the normal gym membership headache of getting gouged on my way out the door. Highly recommended!
