I joined Newtown CrossFit this summer and have felt myself getting stronger every single week. The coaches, Janice, Shaina, Carrie, Tatum, etc. are all amazing. They’re engaging, supportive, and always make sure I’m doing each movement correctly to get the most out of every workout. Everyone I’ve met has been incredibly kind and welcoming. Carrie is an outstanding coach who truly goes above and beyond. She is incredibly helpful and always shares valuable tips to improve our workouts. Carrie has a great eye for detail, ensuring everyone in class maintains proper form, and she does it in a way that feels supportive and encouraging. I was in town for a week and dropped in several times at Crossfit Newtown.
The website navigation was super intuitive, the team was extremely responsive, and it was very easy to coordinate my drop-in payment and scheduling ahead of time.
The classes were great; all coaches were very friendly and knowledgable, and I was glad to see that they spent a significant part of the class focusing on correct technique and scaling options to ensure safe execution of the movements.
Classes were very inclusive and catered to athletes across a broad range of experience and ability.
I had a great time and would gladly return again in the future. Highly recommend to local and traveling athletes alike!

I've only been doing CrossFit for a year but travel a ton so am always dropping in somewhere and your gym is top tier! The coach came right up to me, introduced himself and gave me a lay of the land, also corrected me during my snatch (which is excellent marker for coaching because I've been to places that couldn't care less about drop ins) and everyone was super friendly! Also, super clean, another key metric for me.

Now that I have completed my first year at Crossfit Newtown, I am 32 lbs lighter, I have so much more stamina and energy and I have made som wondeful friends! The Nutrition course with Janice has made a huge impact on how I balance food and excersise and has made me a healthier, happier person. Between Zone and Crossfit, I am doing things I hadn't though possible. The cosches and members are all so supprtive and it is a real joy to be part of tis community!

I love this gym. I've been coming here for about 6 months now, and the instructors and the facility are top notch. I completed onboarding with Shaina and have continued getting individualized coaching from her to both improve my form and adjust for limitations. Matt has been very flexible as I got through onboarding and needed to take a one-month membership pause this summer. The coaches are all fantastic - consistent feedback with explanations and always helpful with scaling workouts. They are also very personable and seem to love what they do. And the community of members is very welcoming. I’m very happy with my decision to join this gym.

I've been a member since 2019 at CrossFit Newtown by far the absolute best gym with the best coaches who are extremely knowledgeable, supportive, are amazing people and athletes. The overall atmosphere and sense of community is incredible. It starts with Matt the owner, all the way through the entire coaching staff who teach you,, encourage you, sweat with you, and motivate you every single day, and every step of the way. The classes are challenging but you will learn how to push yourself physically and mentally, get better and stronger and gain confidence every day you show up.
Highly, highly, highly recommend CrossFit Newtown to anyone no matter your age, or fitness level. Just come in and join up, you will thank yourself that you did. I love this place it makes me feel happy.

Staff and members alike are a wonderful bunch -- inviting, helpful, and kind. Coaches are top-notch, and the environment is upbeat and friendly -- everyone encourages one another. If you're looking for a personal touch, this is it. Coaches know your name, know your strengths and weaknesses, and help you work towards your goals in way that's safe but challenging. In 3 months' time I shed fat, gained lean muscle, and increased bone mass -- all goals I had going in. The workouts are fun and demanding, and I leave each session feeling energized and powerful. Not like any gym experience I've had in the past. I couldn't recommend Newtown Crossfit enough!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GYM: I was visiting Philly for about a month and was staying nearby. CrossFit Newtown is an amazing gym! The coaches made me feel welcomed and supported. They took the time to learn my name, correct my form, and push me in all the right ways. Even as a short-term visitor, I felt like part of the community.
The workouts were well-structured, challenging, and adaptable to all fitness levels. The energy in every class was contagious, and the members were some of the friendliest I’ve met at any gym.

Joining CrossFit Newtown has truly been life-changing for me and my family. I started during a really difficult chapter in my life. The sudden loss of my mom, followed by the loss of my dad a few years later, took a toll on me mentally and physically. I was looking for something positive to focus on, something that could help me rebuild and I found that here. CrossFit gave me strength, structure, and a renewed sense of purpose. I’ve never stuck with anything this long, and I actually look forward to going every morning.
My husband, who lives with muscular dystrophy, never felt confident enough to commit to a training program until now. He works with Shaina, who creates customized workouts that empower him and meet him exactly where he is. He’s seeing real progress, which is almost unheard of with his condition. He’s also been working with Janice for nutrition support (as have I), and the results we’ve both seen have been incredible.
I also train one-on-one with Michelle, who always takes the time to ensure I understand each movement and makes thoughtful adjustments so nothing aggravates my old back injury. Her patience and support have made all the difference.
Now our daughter is joining the CrossFit Newtown community as well, she’ll be working with one of the coaches over the summer. It means everything to watch this place become a source of strength and growth for our entire family.
The coaches here are not only knowledgeable, they’re kind, compassionate, and deeply committed to their members. This gym has been the most positive experience we’ve had, and it truly feels like home. I’ve gained confidence, resilience, and some amazing friendships along the way. We couldn’t ask for a better place to grow together.

Kids youth academy was a great program for my 6yo. The coaches were very patient with him as he doesn’t have the best attention skills and is very introverted. But minutes into the first session he was fine and truly enjoyed the class. We will be back!!

today was my first cross fit class - Shaina was the instructor and my 6 session on boarding coach. I felt very well prepared for the session and the instructions were clear. Shaina gave great guidance through out the session and helped 1) correct form 2) provide modifications. I also appreciated that she introduced me at the start of class. The workout was tough but doable and I was happy with how the first session went.

Coach Janice at Crossfit Newtown has continued to help me adjust my body position throughout all of my classes with her, especially with gymnastics movements. Her cues make things like bar muscle ups and strict pull ups easier and allow me to complete more reps that are strung together. She explains both what to do, how it should feel, and why it works, making every lesson beneficial.

I have Not been to a CrossFit gym in a long time. Coming back is never easy, but I am thankful for the encouragement I received on my first visit to CrossFit Newtown. The workout challenged me in many ways, but I was truly prepared because of the great warm-up the coach had the class do. Prior to the workout of the day, she also made sure I was Comfortable doing all the movements and went over exactly what they each were in case I needed some Refreshing.
Coach Janice has great energy and made sure everybody welcomed me into class. I cannot wait to come back to my next class. I feel as though I fit right in and If it was not for my sore muscles, it almost seems like I never left the CrossFit community :-)

Crossfit Newtown is an amazing workout facility great for most people, regardless of age, regardless of most injuries and 100% regardless of your fitness level. Anyone from just getting off the couch to professional athletes will benefit from Crossfire Newtown in particular. At this place they first assess your capabilities and then proceed to tailor the workouts to your goals and limitations (if you have any). Once you start the classes, if you choose to take them seriously, they will be challenging and very rewarding. All the while the coaches are on top of you to make sure your form is correct and to push you to push yourself in the right pace. In my opinion this is an all encompassing experience including stretching, cardio and weight resistance with every work out. you come in, follow the instructions and leave. very simple very good. if you want or need one on one, like i do to correct certain issues, the coaches here are unbeatable. come try this place out, you will love it.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the staff and environment at CrossFit Newtown. My 7 year old son participates in the Futsal Fusion program and loves every second of these classes. The program is challenging, but still fun. The coaches are energetic, supportive and encouraging of each child. I’ve seen such improvement in just a few classes and I love that this class is unlike anything else offered in our area. I can’t recommend this place enough!

We have LOVED the futsal fusion for our son on sunday mornings. The gym is so well organized, wonderful trainers, and perfect activities for soccer skill work. I’ve been a member at Newtown CrossFit for over 2 years now, participating in the MyZone classes. It’s not a traditional CrossFit class but incorporates components of HIIT, cardio, tabata, core, agility & strength training, providing a great full body workout. The coaches are awesome! They are well trained & knowledgeable & will help you reach your full potential but are also excellent at providing modifications for anyone who needs them. Between the staff & members (MyZone and CrossFit) it’s an awesome environment- challenging workout, good music & fun!

I started at CrossFit Newtown a few months ago and I’m loving the experience! The coaches and owner are kind and empathetic. The classes are well planned and the coaches are considerate of every member and their skill level and limitations. What struck me the most was the kindness of the other members - everyone is so encouraging. No matter what modifications you choose to do, you really feel like everyone is achieving the class TOGETHER. I came here to build strength and lose weight…but I think I found a community as well. A fitness journey can be hard enough, why do it alone? Definitely would recommend it.

I love CrossFit but always feel a little nervous when I drop in someone other than my home gym. Michelle immediately introduced herself when I walked in and explained what we were doing. She helped on my form in both snatches and pull ups. She pointed out the bathroom and the water fountain immediately which maybe is a small thing but both things I usually always have to hunt out when I drop in at other gyms. I don’t love snatches and I managed to rip my hand two sets from the end of the workout but my experience was a ten out of ten and I can’t wait to drop in when I’m back in town!

The Crossfit Kids program was the perfect off season activity for my son. Lacking some confidence in his natural ability, he needed a program to stay active that was well organized and structured but also super fun, and we found exactly that in the kids Saturday class. As a fitness professional myself, it was important to me that my son stayed engaged and looked forward to going every week. The energy level of the sessions was impressive and something I haven’t seen in other kids programs. The kids worked super hard but were also smiling the whole time. We are busy with sports right now but will absolutely be back when things slow down!

If you’re looking for a CrossFit gym then you’ve come to the right place. I’ve been in and out of CrossFit since 2011 and have worked out all over the world. I can honestly say that this is the best and most technically proficient gym I’ve been to with the friendliest atmosphere.
Classes are extremely organized and you can tell all the coaches have the right training and take their job very seriously. The atmosphere isn’t as competitive as a traditional CrossFit gym which is completely fine and works extremely well. It’s really health and fitness over competition.
You can tell Matt the owner cares a lot about your individual experience. He spends lot of time making sure things are running smoothly and that everyone feels appreciated and taken care of.
Again, I highly recommend CrossFit Newtown. You won’t be disappointed joining one bit.

After weightlifting for most of my adult life and recently switching to HIIT style workouts, I decided that I wanted to switch up my exercise routine. I found CrossFit Newtown because it’s close to where I work. I had always been nervous to try CrossFit, but knew that it was something I would enjoy. Matt made me feel comfortable explaining the CrossFit process, and Carrie did an excellent job with my onboarding sessions to make sure I was able to do the basic movements. I have been doing CrossFit since December, and I absolutely love it. I look forward to every class. If I lived closer, I would be here every day. Carrie, Michelle, Janice, and Kayla have been great coaches. The workouts are tough and challenging, but the ability to modify when necessary makes the workouts a little less daunting. The members have been super welcoming, and I can see why this box has a great community. Highly recommended.

I am new to CrossFit and was a bit intimidated to start classes, but all the coaches and other members are very welcoming and supportive. It’s definitely a judgement free zone. I love how the coaches break down every move before the workouts, they are super helpful if you are unsure of anything and encourage you to keep pushing through and reaching new goals. I always leave feeling better than when I walked in.

My journey into CF Newtown began with small group classes along with one-on-one sessions with a coach to help me develop both my skills and my comfort level. I quickly discovered that the only thing that was holding me back was my own flawed thinking that I wouldn't be able to keep up. I have been taking the full classes for about three months and I can't say enough about: 1) the coaches being supportive, welcoming, and helpful in suggesting modifications as necessary; 2) the members being welcoming, helpful, and supportive every day; and 3) the growth I've made has been amazing, and while I may still modify some skills, I don't feel awkward or embarrassed in doing so because everyone works at their own skill level and still makes growth. I go out of my way to attend the CrossFit classes at NSC. The coaches are friendly, knowledgeable , and create excellent workouts. The team members are also supportive and friendly, I make a new friend every class. There is no reason not to join CrossFit - members vary in age and abilities, the price point is fair and competitive, and we can all agree we love being coached and working towards our individual fitness goals.

I was visiting for work and decided to drop in at Crossfit Newtown! I had a fantastic experience. Coach Matthew was really funny, made the class enjoyable, but also was very detailed with the proper way to perform the movements of the workout, while offering scaling options for everyone. Son is 14 and loves going. Curtis is both professional and also wonderful with my son. He comes home and talks about his workouts and all the other things they talk about during their time together. I would highly recommend Curtis to anyone looking for any type of trainer but especially someone looking for a football specific trainer for their child. We originally were only going to do the summer but my son likes going so much we will continue seeing him all year.

This is a GEM of a training facility.
It's a very friendly and warm community culture from Day 1. All the coaches are incredibly talented, passionate, and have an effortless knack for making tough workouts fun. The lead coach is everywhere at once supporting you during classes so it feels quite individualized even in a group environment, and there's often a coach or two on the floor taking classes alongside you, which is cool! It's clear they have rigorous technical standards they're teaching to, and are well-prepared to offer a modification to fit any fitness level/situation.
I had 1-1 onboarding training with a stellar CrossFit coach-athlete: Ms. Kayla Freeman. Kayla was super attentive and regularly adapted to push me ("to go dark") when I seemed too comfortable or to let up and make sure I don't overextend and burnout during a workout. She knew me better than I knew myself in this training environment and I have much respect for the level of expertise required to teach as flawlessly as she did!
Many thanks to Matt for running a strong ship here and all the other coaches (Carrie, Christian, Curt, Janice, Michelle, Kayla!!!) for giving CrossFit a great name.

When our 11-year old asked us to find him a training option so he could get stronger, faster, and more agile for his lacrosse game, CrossFit Newtown was an natural choice for us. Matt and Kayla are responsive and detailed in explaining training options, and finally getting us connected with our son's trainer, Curt Cothran. Curt is AWESOME! His energy level, passion for training, positivity, flexibility customize each work out to our son's desire, commitment, and just being an overall great human being, have sparked an energy in our son, that we hadn't seen before. He ends each session dripping with sweat, and a smile almost as big as Curt's.
If you want tree trunk legs and enormous bi-ceps, there are other options. If you want to create positive fitness habits, using proper techniques, overall fitness progression, and community, CrossFit Newtown is worth a look.

Signed up my 14yo son for one-on-one with a trainer once a week then added a teen group semi-private session once a week, just so he could start feeling more comfortable engaging in fitness activities, gain strength and understanding how his body moves. And while exercise may still not be his most favorite thing, he understands the importance and is committed to learning and putting in effort so he can excel at it. The coaches and trainers are a big part of that because they motivate positively and practically.

When I moved to the area and was looking for a gym, I didn't have anything specific in mind. I stumbled across CrossFit Newtown on Google Maps and, despite being apprehensive about it, decided to see what it had to offer. That was nearly a year ago now, and I'm still so glad I gave CrossFit Newtown a chance! Prior to joining, I had never been part of a CrossFit gym before and had only limited, self-taught barbell experience. I worried I would be too inexperienced to either keep up with everyone else or get enough out of the workouts. What's more, I was worried I'd be just another number taking up space in a class and left to fend for myself without personalized instruction - an experience I'd had before in other class workouts. But this gym is nothing like that, and it was very clear from my first 1-on-1 meeting with Matt, where we got to talk about not only the structure of the classes and what to expect as a member but also about my fitness experience, injuries, and any weaknesses or pain in my body. This information fed into a more personalized onboarding experience with a coach. I had the pleasure of working with Coach Janice, who first assessed my mobility and then taught me all the common CrossFit movements, from burpees and kettlebell swings to pull ups and Olympic lifts. For any movements that were too challenging for me or flared up some recurring knee pain, Janice gave me alternative workouts I could do. Janice was extremely patient and attentive with me, remarking on my form and helping me improve my technique. This level of care is not restricted to the onboarding either! Each class, the coach always starts with breaking down each movement in the warm up and workout. I've found this extremely helpful as I don't have to be stressed before class about forgetting cues or how to do certain skills. Breaking down movements before we do them has helped me to build confidence, improve my form, and feel safe as I work out. Additionally, throughout each class, the coach will provide individual feedback on ways to improve and/or provide progressions to more challenging skills. For that, I can't praise CrossFit Newtown enough!
CrossFit Newtown meets you where you're at. Whether you've never set foot in a gym before or are a seasoned athlete, you will always be met with a challenge appropriate to your skill level. The coaches are attentive and passionate about what they do. They even know everyone by name! The coaches at CrossFit Newtown really care about each person performing at his or her own personal best, and they each strive to help every member get to the next level in his or her personal fitness journey.
Last but not least, the community (members and coaches!) is extremely warm, inspirational, and supportive. It's been wonderful to see familiar faces at class each week and to make friendships within the gym that carry outside. No one cares about points or comparing each other, and there is no intimidating leader board in the class. The focus is really on being active, challenging yourself, and having fun. I couldn't be happier with choosing to join this gym!

I’m not an elite athlete, but I’ve been been doing CrossFit on/off for around 12 years, and have trained at a number of different facilities. While all had their plusses/minuses, the last three gyms I trained at ultimately closed. My point is that many CrossFit boxes will come and go, but there are those handful that are successful, even in spite of challenges such as the COVID outbreak. CrossFit Newtown is such an example. They have excellent, FULL TIME professional coaches who keep you challenged and engaged. They really want you to succeed in your goals and will work with you regardless of your condition. The community is awesome, and it inspires me to get to the gym! Over the past 9 months since I joined, I’ve regained some (but not all) of basic gymnastic/strength movements I let slip, and also increased my VO max from 38 to 41 mL/kg/min (numbers don’t lie). It’s been a great journey, and I highly recommend CFN!

I have been going to CrossFit Newtown for a year now and I have to say it is hands down the best community I’ve been a part of. I first came across CFN when I went to cheer my husband on at one of their competitions. I didn’t know anyone but still went and was instantly greeted and welcomed by everyone. The coaches and the community were so welcoming that I signed up on the spot to join. I knew this was the gym and community I was looking go after moving to Newtown from NYC. I’m beyond grateful for this gym, the coaches, and people that make up CFN. Being new to Crossfit I felt completely prepared after my onboarding with Janice and felt like I had a proper foundation before jumping into classes. They really take the time to properly demonstrate the workouts with a focus on safety and have a range of movements accessible for all levels. The gym space is great and keeps evolving to be better utilized and provide the best experience for members.
The even better part of the gym are the coaches and owner. They are so knowledgeable with what they coach and do a great job explaining/ demonstrating and help you in any way needed throughout the workout. The owner works so hard to provide the members the best possible experience by helping build a strong community that helps make going to the gym fun, easy, and very rewarding.
The workouts themselves are fun, challenging, and accessible for all. At first I wasn’t able to complete all the movements from the workouts (and still can’t do all of them), but with the coaches giving the proper guidance during class, and giving modifications for movements, it means that you’ll always be able to get a great workout in regardless of your ability.
If you’re looking for a gym that provides a great workout experience and is fun at the same time, CFN is the place for you because of the great gym space, amazing coaches & owner, and strong community within the members.

CFN is a very welcoming community and the coaches are great, particularly Carrie and Michelle. They focus on proper form and safety first. They push you to challenge yourself, but in a safe manner. They will always help you to scale or work on progressing with a particular movement. I’ve been a member for 7 years and I’ve tried just about every training regimen, and the workouts at CFN have been the most challenging I’ve ever done. I started with kids crossfit with Matt around age 10 and began training personally with Carrie since my freshman year of high school. Now as a Division 1 track and field athlete, I still cannot wait for the summers I get to take classes and train with carrie and my training partner Maddy. I felt extremely prepared for my college training after working with carrie for so long and taking classes with the rest of the coaches. The gym atmosphere is kind, welcoming, and energetic which i believe starts with the coaching. All of them have great energy and knowledge. I have been with Crossfit Newtown since my freshman year of high school, and am now entering my junior year at American University playing D1 lacrosse. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience here, and it starts with the people. I have had the same training partner all my years and the same trainer. Carrie is incredibly focused when it comes to designing the best plan for us as athletes, but is the most genuine and kind person you will meet. Her care for us as people and athletes is what has helped Kayli and I succeed at such high levels in our sports. I joined 9 months ago with a hip injury and Carrie, Janice and Curt worked with me to modify each workout. Following surgery, they helped me ease back into my workout routine, continuing those modifications as needed. Carrie has been a tremendous part of my recovery and her expertise has allowed me to jump back in without being too far behind. She is also working with my teenage son who is recovering from an injury and has very specific training goals. I did my onboarding with Janice and she was attentive to my body’s injuries. She was patient in correcting my form and ensuring I was performing exercises without discomfort. The classes are high energy and the coaching is impeccable. Im 55 y/o and have been sitting behind my desk for far too long. I started working 1:1 with Janice, 6 months ago to get back into shape, get more flexible and feel better.
When I started I had serious back and knee issues. I could barely walk and definitely wasn't ready for the Crossfit classes. I didn't think I would be able to handle the more intense workouts but Janice took a lot of time talking to me and discussing my issues. She put together a customized training plan for me each week to target my issues.
She takes her time explaining each exercise, what its purpose is, and the proper form to me. I started going once a week now Im up to three times per week. My back and knee issue have greatly improved.
Janice also helps me keep track of my nutrition goals. My back is not yet 100% but it feels a lot better. I have much more flexibility, strength and conditioning.
I look forward to my training sessions with Janice each week and highly recommend her. The other coaches there all seem great too.

I can’t recommend this gym enough!! All the couches are very knowledgeable and dedicated to their job. Over the last few months, I’ve been working closely with coach Janice on personalized nutrition to help me achieve my goals. Janice provided me with so much guidance that has transformed my life. She helped me understand how the body works and the proper way to nourish it with food. Since working with her, I can honestly say that I’m in the best overall health and shape of my life! Joining Crossfit Newtown is one of the best life decision we've made.
Myself and my wife got on boarded a year back after talking with Matt in detail about our expectations, limitations and hectic schedules.
Coach Christian made sure I learned all the basics techniques, form and mechanics of all the major crossfit workouts. He took time to understand my knee's range of motion and tailored the workouts that fit my ability. The simple stretches he suggested have helped to overcome my knee pain and relax the tightness. As he increased the work load and intensity, he showed me how to break down the workout sets, keep the focus on the reps and push myself to finish the sets. After completing my on-boarding sessions, I eased into the classes where I could follow the warmup, strength training and high intensity workout routines. I see significant improvement in my overall strength and being disciplined with my stretching, snacking, sleeping and diet. Its a great feeling to notice my progress and how much I've gained in terms of overall health and well being.
My wife worked closely with Coach Janice. She connected with her physical therapist, understood her health condition and movement range, came up with alternative workouts that fit her limitations. She inspired her to embrace weight training and taught her all the barbell exercises with proper form & techniques and she was able to join the classes ahead of the schedule. Janice also helped her with diet plan, making healthy eating choices and managing her weight. Coaches Michelle, Carrie and Curtis are really wonderful, very inspiring and they continue to mentor her during classes and encourage her to finish strong.
Another best thing we both love about this gym is our fellow members. They're all very encouraging, supportive and let us progress in our own pace.

I cannot say enough good about CrossFit Newtown! I had nutritional consultation with Janice that helped me lose 40lbs with 8 wks to wellness and now small group trainings as well as with Curt. They are amazing trainers and know how to work with my old injuries so I don’t get hurt. They make sure to give options. The workouts are fun, energizing and am maintaining my weight loss while strengthening my body further every week. Love the trainers there and the people I work out with too!

For the past year I've noticed reduced range of motion with my left shoulder. Unhooking my bra and shaving my left armpit had become a challenge. I had PT that didn't help with these difficult activities. After 3 weeks with Kayla I can now perform these activities with less discomfort and effort. At 69 years old and having Osteoarthritis I'm thrilled to get back these simple daily movements!!! So pleased and grateful!

This Crossfit gym is definitely a great gym to be apart of. I've been to my fair share of Crossfit affiliate gyms and this one is ran very well with amazing coaches that welcomed me in right away. I joined soon after having my third child and was having a hard time finding the time and feeling comfortable in this setting again but I was able to find a routine very quickly and had coaches that set me up for success and continue to now a year later even while adjusting workouts to help keep my body feeling great and strong.

I am a member of CrossFit Newtown both for the CrossFit classes and the 1:1 nutrition coaching with Janice. Janice is amazing. She’s great at really breaking things down, explaining and helping you implement the macro diet in a way that’s personalized to you. She knows exactly which levers to pull and when, to help you make consistent progress, reach your goals, and feel (and look) healthier. Janice also takes the time to check in with you and really listens to how you’re feeling in order to make the right adjustments. Janice is the best and I’ve loved working with her!!!!!

This kids program is amazing. I signed my 8 year old son up a year ago and now my 10 and 12 year old daughters have joined in along with my niece and nephew. Kayla and Matt are amazing instructors. They challenge the kids to work through their weaknesses. My son has really overcome his clumsiness. This class has kept my girls moving during their off season. It motivates them to keep moving at home as well as during class time. Crossfit class is something that we look forward to every week. Thanks Matt and Kayla for everything you do for my kiddos!

Both of our kids (10 and 6) participate in a kids fitness class here
every week and I absolutely love sending them. It is awesome to see them learning actual exercises / skills (ex. farmer's carries, burpees, goblet squats, etc.) and getting stronger and more confident each week. They have age-appropriate weights (which are super cute for the very young beginners), plenty of coaches assisting the kids, and great music to motivate everyone to just have fun and learn how to train safely. I would have LOVED a class like this when I was younger. Definitely a 5-star program!

My son Keegan Michael (10 y/o) more than loves CrossFit Kids @ NSC. The program is a perfect complement to his travel ice hockey schedule. The coaches are highly credentialed, and are able to focus with him on further building strength and agility that makes him stronger when it comes to being on the field or ice. And, I don't have to worry about him getting hurt while lifting weights @ home or unsupervised. Highly recommend!

My 8 y.o. and 5 y.o. have been doing the youth program on Saturdays for almost a year now. They absolutely love it. Coach Matt works them hard every week, but they both have a smile on their faces the whole time. ***THE BEST CROSSFIT GYM I HAVE EVER BEEN TO***
I first started doing Crossfit in 2009. Thirteen years and six gyms later, this is still the best gym I have ever been a part of. The actual space is set up beautifully. Well laid out, with lots of space, and the lighting is perfect. Coaches Michelle, Janice, Carrie, Curtis, and Matt are all extraordinarily professional and actually want to teach you. They take the time to learn your body, your injuries, your strengths and weaknesses and help you to work toward getting better. Everyone is respectful, listens, and does exactly what they ask no matter their skill level. No one starts to clean up until everyone finishes. They also play bangers while you work out. No coffee house mixes here.
Finally, the best thing about about Newtown is how friendly and welcoming everyone is. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, their is a team attitude there where each member wants everyone to succeed.
