I signed up for Crunch’s *Perks Program* in late 2023 after years of trying to contact them with emails that constantly bounced back. From the start, I was double-charged, and although it was eventually refunded, the real issue was the lack of communication and support.

In January 2024 I notified the manager that my ad wasn’t running and out-of-market ads were playing instead. He said he’d reach out to corporate, but I never heard back. I followed up multiple times in July—another email bounced—and still no response.

After nearly **two years** of trying to cancel and get answers, all they offered was two months of credits. Upper management avoided the issue entirely, and I wasn’t contacted until recently by a VP who said he couldn’t help because it “predated him.”

The local Crunch staff was great, but the company that owns and manages this location (Fitness Holdings / RLB Holdings) showed **zero accountability**. They’re quick to take your money, slow to answer, and the Perks ads were mostly irrelevant filler.

Overall, a waste of time and money. I loved the gym, but the Perks Program and corporate response were extremely disappointing.
Current person who is handling the perks program did try to help but fed me a bunch of crock their upper management told her to. Not her fault but the months and months previously were blantantly ignored and they are trying to wipe themselves of the responsibility but didn't care to take the money and ignore repeated attempts at initially fixing the lack ads and out of market issues. I wanted this to work as I supported this location and referred many here it's a shame it didn't work out but now I'm the one who paid out of pocket and they don't care.

I like all the group fitness classes, and the variety they provide. My most recent obsession is Poumd. I love Penny''s class. It is such a great workout with the best of both worlds.- toning and cardio at the same time. It is also really fun.. because there is a choreography and its like dancing to it with drum sticks. . I went and bought a pair of drum sticks and do this at home all the time now. Would highly recommend everyone to try this class.

Gym is dirty (Mold in the shower), no boddy soap in the shower. When asked about shower soap the front desk person had an attitude. But overall most of the staffs are nice.
The mold is a health concern. If not address on time I'll be reporting it to the appropriate agency

Signs saying no truck parking but I parked in back and left after working out without being bothered. Locker room had a bad body odor smell, showers hot and had a shelf I appreciate, cold water fountain and kind of a smaller location but all was good. Lack of weight racks to put plates so they’re just laying on the ground everywhere and the clock is also the wrong time which to me just shows the mentality and attention the employees give at this location. BO smell in locker room should be addressed

Crunch Harrisburg has the best gym culture out of all of the gyms I’ve been to. Connor up at the front desk helped me transfer my membership to the Harrisburg location when I moved to the area. He was super helpful, friendly, and communicative throughout the entire transfer process. A few months after he helped me join, Connor encouraged me to sign up for one of Crunch’s Transformation Challenges and I ended up losing over 20 lbs. I always look forward to seeing Connor at the front desk when I come into the gym and leave because of how friendly and encouraging he is to everyone!

Atmosphere could do better there’s no AC on no fans running person at the front. It’s extremely weird. Also I came in a quarter after 9 PM. They close at 11 soon as I stepped in there it appears the guy did not want me in there that works there in the front almost like an annoying type of behavior so pretty much they can do better at hiring better associates

It’s really unfortunate that I have to write this review, but I’ve tried every other avenue and given plenty of time for my billing issue to be resolved.

I signed up for personal training in July when I joined Crunch, and it was a great experience. When it came time to make my second payment in August, my trainer checked in and asked if this would be my final month since a month’s notice is required to cancel. I said yes, as I only wanted to do two months of training. The next day, I met with Antonio, the GM, for my “exit interview.” He assured me that August would be my final payment, and I signed the cancellation paperwork.

Then September came, and I was billed again for personal training. I reached out to the GM via text (he had previously given me his number for nutrition questions as he handles that part of the training program), but received no response. When I brought it up with my trainer, he said he’d talk to his boss and later confirmed that he did. I was made aware that the GM had been in an accident and was hospitalized, and while I’m sympathetic to that, there should absolutely be someone else who can handle cancellations and refunds in his absence.

After waiting a full month with no resolution, I filed a chargeback through my bank and was refunded for the September charge. Unfortunately, I was billed yet again in October for personal training — after cancellation was confirmed months ago. I ultimately had to cancel my credit card and file a fraud report, as my bank said that was the only remaining option.

It’s a real shame because I genuinely enjoy this gym and the training experience, but the billing aspect has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. To make matters worse, when my friend and I brought up our concerns to the front desk on Tuesday, the employee with glasses and short curly brown hair was hostile and dismissive, saying, “It won’t affect my life what you guys do — you don’t have to come to the gym here.”

I have found no way to contact corporate or the franchise owner, but I would be willing to speak about this experience with upper management and provide an update to my review when that happens. I would like to continue my membership with this gym as my experience with everyone (except that one individual) has been great.

I have tried on separate occasions since Sunday morning to cancel my PT sessions. Was told without the manager there, I am unable to cancel (legally I should be able to cancel whenever I want); my trainer was fired during a weight loss challenge that I paid $146 to participate in for the chance to win $250, which decreases my chances. Tried to contact corporate but their number is not monitored and they don’t have a email to send complaints to. There is more about individual staff, but this would be a page long at that point. Do not recommend

As we drive around the country, we stop at Crunch Fitness locations in the cities we pass through. Looking at my google history, I was surprised that this is actually our 4th stop here. Not sure why I've not reviewed yet!
This location does have 3 weightlifting platforms and all 3 are in pretty bad shape. Each time I'm there, I hammer the frame back together so it's not a safety issue while I lift (snatch and C&J). The platforms are missing the bolts that hold them together. In addition, the rubber drop zones are seriously stressed and in need of replacement. The wood... well I'm not even sure what people are doing on those platforms to mess them up that badly. they are bad. A lot of the equipment in this location looks similar - seriously worn. This is a busy location. Why the five stars then? Simple - the locker rooms are CLEAN and the employees are some of the friendliest folks anywhere. In fact, everyone in this gym was nice! very nice. It was a great atmosphere to train in and I look forward to stopping here again.

I Came In For The Second Time As A Guest 9/8/25 Monday Evening ~8:30pm. After The Workout I Forgot To Grab My ID. I Went Back Wednesday Morning 9/10 ~7am & That’s When I First Discovered I Had Even Left My ID. The Lady At The Desk Looked Through A Huge Stack Of ID’s But Didn’t Find Mine. I Asked If There Was Any Other Place It Could Be Because That Stack Looked Like It Was Old Unclaimed ID’s Not Ones Lost That Week She Said No. We Left. Decided To Try Again In The Evening Around ~7pm & That’s When I Met Katie. She Found My ID Within Seconds! So Grateful For Her. She Was So Nice & Patient && Much More Thorough Than The Other Lady.

Thoughts On The Gym… I Appreciate The Different Types Of Workout Equipment That They Have & The Rooms On The Side. I’m Disappointed They Only Have 2 Smith Machines & The One Moves In Weird Ways In My Opinion. I Almost Fell Doing Squats Because I Wasn’t Prepared For It To Keep Moving Back. Surprised There Aren’t More TVs .. But The Biggest Thing That Contributed To The 3 Stars Is I Never Saw Anyone Wipe Down Their Machines Or Equipment After Working Out. I Thought That Was Gym Etiquette But I Guess I’m Wrong.

My experience with Crunch Fitness has been extremely disappointing. I enrolled in a personal training program with coach Micah Springer, who provided no real guidance or support. I was also promised a nutrition plan that was never delivered. Despite paying $180 for one month, the service was not worth the cost.

When I returned to the gym, I was charged $17.99 for my membership, but then informed by the manager (Antonio, I believe) that I owed an additional $180 because my contract was allegedly for two months. At no time was this clearly explained to me—neither by the coach nor by the staff. I was simply asked to sign paperwork without any proper clarification.

As a result, I paid for a membership I could not use, with no option for a refund. This lack of transparency, combined with unprofessional and unfriendly staff interactions, reflects very poorly on the gym’s management.

Based on my experience and similar complaints from other members, I cannot recommend this gym.

I’m a regular gym goer of 10 years and gone to gyms all over Dauphin and Cumberland county. I’ve been to this one for 3 years. If you are a regular Joe weightlifter or gym goer this gym is pretty solid all around at a great price point for a Harrisburg resident to get in a quality lift and sauna session at a low cost. The recent negative reviews are really quite excessive and I’d take them with a grain of salt.

Weights and machines are well maintained, no rust (for the inside equipment) and well oiled. Not sure if these other reviewers expect every gym to have perfect just unboxed machines but in my opinion the equipment is good with minimal gym wear and tear for the age. The sauna is great and in my experience almost never out, which is exceedingly rare in central PA. Sure it may not be clean enough to eat off the floor of it but what do you expect, it’s a sauna and guys are sweating. The price point to have a gym with their level of free weight selection, 5 squat racks, and 4 benches not including outside is hard to beat. Lastly, I have had no problems with the staff. I don’t ask for much but when I’ve asked for help on something I’ve gotten it pretty easily. Not sure if other reviewers had one bad experience and are judging an entire facility on that but in my experience the customer service is good.

Now as a regular gym goer I do get frustrated at the lack of policing of patrons not putting back their weights once they put them on machines or bars. Of all the gyms I have been to locally this one doesn’t have the best handle on that issue and I think this gyms management should take that issue seriously because loyal customers like me get driven out by enabling this poor behavior.

The new people are awful. I don’t know if it’s a new manager or what, but the new faces are garbage. Lately, every Tuesday and Thursday you have to bring your own wipes because nothing is refilled. The person there at the time is too busy outside vaping or inside waking around on the phone. Seems like the store strategy is to get rid of good people and bring in this kind. Working out today showed me how far this place has fallen. Today I got answers to my questions, and Thursday when I brought up how everything was empty, I was told “ sorry but it’s not my problem”.Id rather deal with planet fitness. Atleast I can be ignored for cheaper. This place needs to get it together. I hope the few good ones that are still there leave for better opportunities

I’ve had a mixed experience here, but overall it’s been improving. Initially, I ran into some frustrations—communication can be difficult at times, and some of the equipment is definitely due for an upgrade or better maintenance. The membership cancellation process also felt a bit rigid, with policies that aren’t always customer-friendly.

That said, my experience took a major turn for the better once I started working with Katie. She’s professional, motivating, and truly cares about helping clients reach their fitness goals. If you’re committed to getting in shape and want someone in your corner who makes the experience worth it, definitely ask for Katie or Brandon. She’s been the highlight of my time here.

I can't wait for the class action lawsuit against this greedy and criminal location. Do NOT sign up because you will NEVER be allowed to quit. Not because of your contract forbidding it, no simply because staff and management could not care less about your desire to cancel and will continually blow you off and LIE TO YOUR FACE until you report them to your bank or just give up. Not only did this happen to a friend of mine, it'a now happening to me. The icing on the cake? They've been charging me the premium plan cost while telling me i'm on the basic plan and restricting the premium benefits (3x more a month). I've called and visited so many times to try and stop this happening, and it's no use. Well at least they can kiss their reputation in Central PA goodbye. I'm well connected in York and Lancaster as well. If someone from Crunch with a conscience is reading this, I suggest you take some action for your customers or jump ship, ASAP.

Update: 6 months after I wrote this review, I started receiving calls texts and emails. Was it to make amends? No, they just wanted to inform me I’m being sent to collections for an undisclosed amount. LOL!!! Hope y’all took me seriously. Also I’ll never stop telling people how bad this place is…

Wish I would have read reviews prior to becoming a member. This place is ran like an out of garage gym. The Front desk manager Mr Bowman needs removed asap. He’s dismissive and unprofessional. My account was charged twice $69.99 for an annual fee back in April for a total of $140.00!. To date I have not received a refund even after filing a claim with the Attorney General. I tried resolving the issue in person and over the phone and had the displeasure of having to deal with Mr Bowman on two occasions who would not provide me with the general managers name or number. I called the 1-800 number to cancel and find out the general manager name and was told they didn’t have that information!! I was told they only handle cancellations at that number. I asked to be transferred to their payment processing department and was told they don’t have one! You can’t make this crap up. A company with zero transparency, morals ethics and integrity. Wild experience to say the least. I found out the information I needed through the Attorney Generals office. During my third visit in an attempt to resolve the issue Mr Bowman was at the front desk and guess what? He dismissed me AND failed to tell me the general manager was actually on site that day. As I left the building and got into my car, a guy runs out flagging me down and what ya know it was the General Manager. We spoke for ten minutes where he reassured I was being refunded electronically my $69.99. He provided his personal cell phone number to follow up . I texted him days later and he said he would get back to me. I still haven’t received it. No feedback and zero follow through. This issue has been going on since April 25th. These gyms nowadays are out of touch. People are better off converting their own spaces into small gyms or paying someone in their community who may have more space to house gym equipment. I will be supporting smaller businesses from now on. Anyone seeking an actual trainer and someone who cares contact Bang Bang Fitness. You can find him on Instagram. Located at 28th and Derry Street near Swatara Township. His building has all the equipment you need as well!

**DO NOT ENROLL HERE, THEY ARE SCAMMERS**. First of all, I enrolled with the basic membership and they were charging me the FULL one. 2nd, with the membership you can "bring a guest." A friend brought her 11-year-old son, but when I brought my 15-year-old son, since he is very tall, they asked him for ID, which he doesn't have, and they wouldn't let him in. 3rd, the place smells bad and many of the machines don't work well. After all this, I asked the counter staff to cancel my membership, to which they responded that they couldn't do it because they are a franchise. They told me to call a number, which DON'T exist. I searched the web for any information to contact them, and there was no customer service number or any other information. I found a number that supposedly belongs to customer service, and when I called and explained the entire situation, guess what? It's not customer service, it's the gym's insurance, and they have nothing to do with the membership, but the guy who helped me told me that many people have called asking to speak to customer service. Since I couldn't find anyone to contact to cancel, I had no choice but to contact my bank to cancel any future bills. Now, since they haven't been able to steal any more money from me, "Crunch" called me from "customer service", yes, customer service, saying I owe them X amount of money. I told them everything I've done trying to cancel my membership, the discomfort, the anger, and how disappointed I am with the entire situation/service and about a Lawsuit. Oh, well, now it turns out they gave me the correct customer service number and even an email appeared. They also told me I can go to the store to request them to cancel my membership. Completely Disappointed with Crunch Fitness

Literally the worst gym ever! PLEASE read and listen to these reviews because there is not a lie in sight from the customers who have also experienced this same ignorance. They try their best to get you not to cancel by lying and stating you didn’t cancel your membership, would rather it build up so you can owe them while they send it to collections just because they are greedy. Front desk people are very rude, they could careless about your experience with the gym itself I spoke with a manager about the account and of course he could careless as well it’s their word against yours so basically you are just SOL and need to give them YOUR money regardless of a cancel that they failed to ‘’record’’ just a shady business all around. They add fees for any little thing while their gym lacks the basics. Please spend your money and time else where I promise it’s not worth the headache. Only good thing they have is the sauna and that barely works.

IF YOU HAVE ASTHMA DO NOT CHOOSE CRUNCH FITNESS ON UNION DEPOSIT.

I have asthma. This gym is the only Crunch in Harrisburg city (not across the river). So clearly if you are a member, we are all going to the same crunch. I have been to mechanicsburg, Pa Carlisle pike crunch and their inside feels AMAZING! Every time I ask the workers at union deposit to go from using 1 of the 5 FANS! I am told this is not possible. The gym is smoldering hot and stinks likes a young boys locker room, unacceptable. It’s not even 4 pm and they say oh we are stuck this way until Monday. Also, my gym’s population is very diverse, so again using 1 fan in a packed gym full of sweating bodies is unacceptable. Especially when we are ALL paying to be here. I’m going back to planet fitness.

Nice gym very equipped but the gym has to do something with those tiktoker who go to filming its self, I don't se the sense of taking half dumbell racks to do a video, common guys let do the video thing to your home or an isolated area to not bother anyone and avoid equipment damages and safety precautions. Ridiculous, other than that nice place to work out 💪
Also I start paying 9 dollar a month and now they increase to 26 dollar because ots getting croud, ridiculous and the cellphone issue it's getting bigger and bigger, they need to put a restrictions for cellphone.

Tried going into the facility nope can't cancel there they give you a 3rd party number to call. And there all foreigners. They're a rip off and make you still pay a cancellation fee which is crazy. Full membership is not worth it at this location!! 16 bulbs out in tanning beds for over two months.mase this review 2 weeks ago, tanning bed now has 20 lights out…. Clearly management has zero value in the product they charge almost $40/mo for! Note is ignored in the desk.
Massage beds always broken. Much of the Equipment is broken. Entire gym is dirty. Kim is only reason I enjoy this location, always greeted with genuine happiness. She is quick to assist with any supply issues or messes.

I had high hopes for Crunch Fitness, but it has been a total disappointment. The gym is far from perfect. The equipment is often broken or outdated, and the cleanliness is seriously lacking. The staff is unhelpful and sometimes even rude. The classes are overcrowded, and the overall environment is not welcoming. For the price they charge, I expected much better. I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone looking for a quality workout experience.

I've been a member of Crunch Fitness for a while, and I have to say it's far from a perfect gym. The equipment is often broken or outdated, and it takes forever for them to fix anything. The gym is usually overcrowded, making it hard to get a good workout in. The cleanliness is also an issue; the locker rooms and showers are often dirty. Additionally, the staff can be unhelpful and seem more interested in chatting among themselves than assisting members. Overall, I'm quite disappointed and expected much better.

Sign up here if you want to be harrassed by workers and members of this gym. After reporting these, they will charge u $150 after telling you that you wont be charged for another 60 days. When you try to obtain the membership agreement they will not let you have a copy or see it with your own eyes. If you have anything to say they send you to collections within a day😂😂😂 worst gym ever

Gym sucks. The heavy bags have been broken for months and at this point they are down to one, when they started with 4. No urgency to fix them or get new ones it seems. They also charge a 70$ annual fee, and then will turn around and charge your monthly right after. Unfortunately it’s not even worth the 30$ I pay monthly.

I've considered joining Crunch Fitness for convenience alone, but the reviewers have expressed the same concerns and complaints month after month after month - cleanliness, broken machines, staff, and difficulty changing or canceling a membership. Management always replies "we're sorry..." but it doesn't seem to change anything. Why should I leave PF for a gym that is mediocre at best?

Feeling frustrated with this location. I am currently paying for training (love my trainer Raquan, he’s amazing and so helpful) - but we had discussed freezing the training, as I have some trips and other financial obligations to take care of. My trainer and I planned this accordingly. You have to freeze 10 days before billing. We went to do that last week and he asked for assistance from a supervisor. Supervisor then informed us that freezing is no longer an option and suggested cancelling and joining back when I am ready. The problem with that is you have to cancel 30 days in advance. I would have done so if I knew this was my only option. Very frustrated that neither I, the paying customer nor your trainers/staff had been made aware of this change until it’s too late. Likely going to cancel and just join back at Mechanicsburg location or go back to PF cause this is ridiculous

I absolutely love the culture and vibe of this gym. The members here are incredibly passionate, and the community is so welcoming. The staff at reception are always friendly and humble, creating a great first impression.
While some of the equipment could use updates, I can tell they are constantly working to improve. I’ve noticed that the Crunch in Mechanicsburg has more up-to-date machines, and it would be great to see similar upgrades here.
Nonetheless, the positive atmosphere and the people really make this gym stand out.

I've been a member at Crunch Harrisburg primarily because of the amazing fitness instructors and classes. If it weren't for them, it would be an easy decision to switch to the Mechanicsburg location. The bikes at the Harrisburg location are broken, and areas of the gym desperately need a deep cleaning. Multiple members, including myself, have brought these issues to the attention of the manager (whose name escapes me), but he seems to act like he’s unaware of the problems.

I recently visited the Mechanicsburg location, and the difference is night and day. The gym is much nicer, the equipment is in great condition, and the staff is very friendly. It's disappointing to see the decline in the quality at Harrisburg, and I’ve also noticed fewer members attending the fitness classes lately, probably because of these ongoing issues. It's unfortunate because the instructors are the only reason I continue to come here.

Don’t ever get a gym membership here! Doesn’t matter if it’s month-to-month . The canceling process is incoherent and dubious. Not only will your account not be cancelled but they will keep charging you until they send your account to collections. I requested my account to be canceled in February due to a car accident and my account was up to date ! because I missed the last payment instead of sending that monthly amount to collections they secretly kept my account open til it reached $200 and sent the $170 worth of fees with the last month to collections. This organization is unethical. The gym itself and the bathrooms are dingy! It is the worst gym you could become a member of . Stay away! There are so many better alternatives in the Harrisburg area and beyond.

I joined the Harrisburg gym to start going back to the classes, as they help me the most, but find that I ALWAYS have to go to the Mechanicsburg gym, which is MUCH farther away, as they offer soooo many more classes at a time that I can go. Why is that? And I also discovered that more classes are off limits due to my insurance now not covering them. Disappointing. I may not be paying the cost of those classes, but I sure am paying in gas to have to go further for classes I can take at a time I can go. That’s my one and only biggie complaint. The only reason I didn’t give this place one star was because my personal trainer was fantastic. Extremely polite, knowledgeable, and understanding. However, over a month ago (well within the time frame to not be charged again) I cancelled my personal training only to be charged again this month. That alone was incredibly irritating so I called the gym to get it sorted out this morning. When I called, a very rude, disinterested, and disrespectful employee answered the phone and told me that only the GM could handle situations like that and to call back at 9 (That is not the issue, it was the way he spoke). Then he proceeded to hang up on me in the middle of a sentence. So if you want to continuously be charged for services you’re no longer receiving, and get spoken to like you’re not worth the oxygen you breathe then yeah, sign up here.

Let me start with the positive - I've been working with Travin (Tray) for about a year and a half and I couldn't be more pleased. Any time I've joined a gym in the past, I have always been a class-person, not a weights/equipment person, but in working with Tray, I am more comfortable using the equipment without feeling self-conscious. I've also found that Tray has offered more than just the "lift weights" aspect of personal training; he has also provided insights and suggestions for diet changes, and starts every session with "how are you feeling?" understanding that both physical state and mental state impact the efficacy of a workout. Those things matter in creating an effective relationship between trainer and client. I have also enjoyed the classes I've taken and was over the moon to find out that Sharon was an instructor here because I used to go to her classes when I was a member at another gym where she was an instructor. The other instructors for other classes I've attended have also been really positive and encouraging. Seriously though, you guys have to do everything in your power to keep Tray here because he really does have a great relationship with his clients and you can't replace that.

As to negatives - I don't love that there have been so many changes in management because it does change the vibe. It would also be good to have everyone on the same page with information about the gym itself. I tried to renew my membership after a year with the exact same membership but it was done incorrectly which meant I had to fully cancel and re-re-new my membership. When I did, my fee for the annual payment was less than my husband's, who signed up for the very same thing, but a few days prior, and the only explanation was a deal that hit when I signed up, but there was no information about it or indication of a pricing difference. It would be lovely if people would clean up after themselves rather than leaving weights scattered about, but that's not a staff issue, it's a rude people issue, so I don't fault the staff for that.

I've been to a few different crunch gyms. All are great but none have been as welcoming and motivating as this one. The people who train here are there to improve themselves and the people around them. They will help spot for a heavy lift, or give advice and their knowledge to help you reach your goals. This crunch has clean and well kept facilities. It has an amazing set of staff and knowledgeable trainers. Including my own trainer Travin Coslow, who has pushed me to strength i didn't know i had. Went here for the first time ever recently and I can confidently say I will never be back. My partner had gotten a free 3-day pass online and so we were looking to use that. When we arrived we were not greeted by anyone. We ended up asking for a tour since we had never been there before and one of the guys there gave us a tour. The guy was friendly but the tour was pretty basic and he did not tell us about any of the amenities and mostly was interested in telling us about personal training. This was fine since we did express interest in personal training; however, once it became clear that we would not be able to afford personal training, he basically ended the meeting there. He wasn't able to tell us what the membership costs were or what the different tiers were, which was strange. When we went to the front desk to use our free 3-day pass from Crunch's website, the front desk guy just told us that it was only going to be a one-day pass. Didn't apologize for the confusion or anything. When I went to the bathroom there was a foul smell. I don't expect a gym bathroom to smell great, but this bathroom smelled straight up like a litter box and I saw someone's used band aid by the sink. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. As far as the gym itself was concerned, I was disappointed that they didn't have any Arc Machines. It was also very loud (so loud that I struggled to hear my phone's audio through my headphones) as people were constantly slamming weights. I also couldn't help but notice that I rarely saw anyone cleaning up the machines or equipment after they used it, which is just gross. We will be working out elsewhere.

Was a member when they first opened for about a year and a half, and then a member again from December of 2023 to March of 2024. Being a pretty active member at this gym as well as others in the past, this is what I've gathered as far as quality:

Equipment: Mostly functional. Some pieces would go weeks and even months without being repaired, not too many non-functioning though.

Space: This gym had a good amount of space and a nice outdoor workout area, which is fine in the spring and summer months usually with nice shade. However, the space in general is one of the most cramped I've ever seen, im not sure if they have a membership limit to how many people can sign up at a time, but there definitely needs to be. Not only are you waiting a fair amount of time to use machines amd benches, but once a class has started, there goes a huge portion of the gym that you can no longer use for the next hour. I think the space would be adequate enough even if the classes were just moved or scheduled at less busier times. The locker room space is also pretty cramped at times with a large number of people crowding the sink area just to take selfies for 10 minutes.

Lockers: Not sure about the women's locker room, but the lockers in the men's room function at half capacity, in other words, you can only lock half of them, the rest have broken rings. Again, something that goes unrepaired for ages.

Water fountain: This one kinda boggles my mind. It's bad enough that there seems to be entirely too many members here and not enough space, but to find that there is only ONE water fountain station in the entire gym is flabbergasting to me, AND it's literally in the middle of the heaviest traffic area in the building, so that means a line forms behind it and there are people coming in and out of both locker rooms. On top of that, the filter light is red 90% of the time.

Conclusion: I've been a frequent gym goer for well over 12 years now, been to dozens of different ones over the years, been an actual member at at least 5 different gyms, and I can honestly say this was the worst one. However, it's not that expensive and it's affordable, just don't expect anything amazing with what you're paying for.

Over the last few months I come in on Saturday or Sunday at 7 to see no staff there; including today. Is it too much to ask to be open on time? People have schedules.

On a side note, like a lot of other reviewers, the front desk staff are just there; no emotion when arriving or leaving. There is only 1 person who is truly friendly she usually works weekdays AM. Only going here since no other option close by. Yearly fee went up $15; I don’t see for what other than just give me more money that’s why probably. Nothing special here.

I went to switch membership tiers today after my workout and in order to do so, the disinterested but not unpleasant person at the front desk apparently had to cancel my membership completely, forcing me to go through the entire registration process from start to finish. I filled out all my information, but because I don’t take my credit card to the gym (because I’m not shopping), I was unable to complete sign up and now my membership is just cancelled. It also appears that I would need to pay the yearly fee ($60) again after re-registering, which is absurd because I’ve been a member less than a year and therefore have already paid it once in the last year.

As for the rest of the gym…
The equipment itself is fine. Nothing special, but nothing to complain about really. Some of it is getting a little raggedy from heavy use, but nearly everything has been functional in my experience. The water fountain commonly has a red light indicating the filter needs to be changed, but they get around to it eventually. The men’s locker room is missing one of its two soap dispensers, so waiting in line for soap to wash your hands is a nice touch. The environment is loud as classes are taking place and music plays, but nothing headphones can’t solve.

After I signed up I got a free session with a personal trainer. I don’t want a trainer but the guy I worked with was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic.

Crunch is fine for my purposes because I don’t need much, but the customer experience this evening resulted in my membership being cancelled, which was not at all what I had in mind. So, I suppose I’ll look elsewhere for a place to work out.

Super disappointed.

Front desk old lady with purple hair had an attitude from the start and told me I couldn’t use this gym, as it wasn’t my home gym, no big deal. Waited for my friend who pays for the top membership to come and sign in to give me guest access, to which the front desk worker says that as a member to a different home gym, my friend couldn’t bring any guests, even when my friend mentioned she had brought guests before. All of this started a little commotion, as the front desk worker raised her voice at us, and brought attention to the general manager who backed up the front desk worker and then proceeded to say that it was a “new rule” they instated where base members couldn’t be guests. He then said I could pay for a $10 day pass. Nothing they were saying made any sense, if I had come in without trying to sign in as a base member, by their logic, I would’ve been fine to be a guest of my friend. Prior to my friends arrival, she had discussed with an employee from the home gym Crunch to ensure this shouldn’t be happening, to which the employee confirmed that it shouldn’t be a problem and I would be able to be a guest due to my friend’s membership level.

I have children who workout at this facility, while attending college several states away from home. The boys have had multiple items stolen from the locker room and received no assistance from the people who work at the front desk. While the boys are responsible for their stuff, the lack of customer service or humanity to help teenagers is mind blowing! It’s more convenient to sit on their phones than to tend to paying customers. We’ve had to call the police for assistance because this facility wouldn’t look at security cameras or anything, leaving the boys stranded. When this semester is over, they’ll take their fitness journey to another facility where relationships matter. Maybe the front desk employee are the thieves? Who knows!!

I've gone to this gym for multiple years now and aside from issues previous where I was being charged on two accounts and some broken equipment, my experience was overall positive.
Except when it came to cancelling my membership.
Mid-January I told the front desk that I was moving March 1st and needed to cancel. The man at the desk told me to stop by at the end of month and let them know. I stopped by on Jan. 31 to tell the same man I was cancelling - to which he gave me a number to call and cancel. I immediately called and was on hold before being prompted to leave a voicemail where I said I was cancelling. No one called me back and I finally got through to someone today, and the customer service rep told me I would have to pay my next bill because it was less than 30 day notice. I told him I was going based on what my gym location told me and that I left a voicemail yesterday - which is 30 days from my next bill being due on 2/1 - but I am STILL being charged an additional $36.99 for a month I won't even live here for.
It's ridiculous and Crunch should be more clear and upfront of their cancellation policy.

I never considered myself a “gym person” only initially attending the group classes (spin class with Jen F are amazing) at Crunch. Prior to connecting with my personal trainer Travin (Trey) I was apprehensive and felt uncomfortable identifying the equipment that suited my fitness goals. While I had done things at home on my own, it was not until connecting with Trey that I realized I could push harder and get stronger. No longer do I underestimate my potential (as tracked by my PRs over the last year) and find the value of adding strength training to my routine for physical and overall general health benefits. More importantly, I’ve taken what I’ve learned from working with Trey and am now confident navigating gym spaces when I am on my own or during travel. You have to cancel through a call center in India. And they bill you for another month.

UPDATE-"Owner", please contact me directly. Do not send me to your manager. I have already talked to him, and he offered no resolution.

Been attending for training with Trey for over a year now - he's been very helpful and professional. I always look forward to the days when I have a session with him scheduled.

So the gym itself is just so so in all honesty. Equipment is often broken type of thing, buuuuut the personal trainers there are fantastic! I see Trey there, and it has been a great experience. I wasn't a big gym person historically so I was nervous to try a personal trainer, but Trey has taught me how to use all of the equipment there, how to tell if my form is good and safe, and honestly he has helped me feel so much more comfortable in a gym environment

I have been working with my personal trainer, Travin for a little over a month now. He's amazing to work with, he pushes you hard, but supports the process and always keeps the sessions fresh and fun.

I already feel stronger and more toned in the short time he has been training me. He continuously motivates and pushes me and doesn't allow for self loathing thoughts to fester up.

Excited to see the progress at the end of 3 months.

This gym deserves a 0 rating. Horrible experience at this location. Dirty and broken equipment. Bathroom is nasty and smelly. You smell peoples sweats as soon as you walk into the gym. I canceled membership less than 24hrs after signing up and I was still charged about a month later.

Wow did this place go downhill. Hadn't been here in about 6 months. Lots of broken equipment, torn cushions on equipment. Locker room had many broken lockers and is filthy. The door on the sauna barely opens as it scrapes across the floor and it has no handle on the inside. They actually have a brown hand towel hanging from a long screw to close the door so you don't tear up your hand on the screw. I watched as numerous people used elipticals and other equipment without wiping them down after use. People don't care. The $9.95 per month price tag is too cheap. Jack it up to $19.95 a month and use some money to fix the broken items.

What happened to this gym? It seems like this gym is going out of business or they truly don't care. Locker rooms/gym are filthy, weights and equipment be all over the floor, that's if the equipment even works. Everything in this gym is falling apart and it seems like they have no interest on fixing anything. Most the cushion on the equipment is ripped and torn. How do you as a manager or owner of the gym see this and don't do nothing?

The classes were what I was drawn to here. Wednesday 615p Chisel workout was great! The Cardio section was nice but that is the end of the good. Machines were broken up in not cohesive sections. Legs, arms, legs kind of set up. Most of the vinyl on the seats/arm areas were extremely worn, torn, destroyed. 1 machine in some areas so expect a long wait especially if someone is parked there not doing reps but on an extended "recovery" scrolling their phone.

I wish I could rate in the negatives because the manager John is completely unprofessional. He’s super creepy with women’s workouts and hardly gives them any privacy. You can’t even put on headphones and get your grind on without feeling uncomfortable. Also nearly impossible to cancel your membership

This gym is great on the outside, as soon as you want to close your account they make it impossible. Outsourced to India, no one returns your calls. Spoke to the manager and they were nothing but rude and ignorant. I been calling this “hotline” number for 4 months. Been charged 60 extra dollars. For the sake of your mental health just drive the extra 10 minutes to go to a planet fitness.

Your staff is not trained to serve people except the blonde Rasta girl who is sweet to everyone, I went to warm up in the croosfit area and a lady told me to remove myself from that area, it is a lack of respect

Today, I went in, and they were running some kind of outreach or promotional event, and at the front desk, there was MIKE STEVENS who was taking a bad day out on customers. Wouldnt sell 3 of my friends day passes, was very rude about it, and when we asked why, he claimed that he owned the place and could make up his own rules whenever he wanted in a very condescending tone. If we were stirring up trouble or being rude, I'd understand, but we were calm and respectful, and the disrespect was uncalled for. I truly feel sorry for people who have to work for a guy like that. If that's how you talk to your customers, I dont want to imagine how you talk to your employees. I immediately canceled my membership

I've been a crunch member for 5 years. I always bring guests and buy guest passes so my friends and i can break dance, work out, and use the turf. But I will not be back after that experience.

Equipment is not well taken care of by members, nor does it seem like the staff care to fix the broken equipment. I've been coming here for about 5 months now and every day I come in, the same equipment is still broken since I started coming. The water filter also needs to be update. The light has always been red (meaning they need to change the filter). Other than those things, it's not that bad.

Me and my husband were visiting from out of town, so we chose this gym to get our daily sweat. We both absolutely loved this gym. Clean bathroom, available equipment, and the outside workout area was the cherry on top.💗

HORRIBLE SERVICE! They have charged my card 5 times for the same sevice(how many times in a month am I supposed to pay for membership?), the manager has been uncoperative and outright lies to say this is not the case! They are very sneaky when it comes to making money and will never accept their fault or refund you for charging multiple times in a month! Definitely ending my membership here , not worth the hassle each month

Siempre abren tarde. Las personas que vamos temprano perdemos día de entrenamiento. Pagamos una membresía pero no podemos disfrutar de la misma. En una misma semana perdí 2 días de entrenamiento porque abren a la hora que les da la gana.
