Culture Shock Performing Arts Center is entering our 22nd year in the dance/performance industry. We offer a wide variety of classes for ages 3-adult, recreational and competitive. Located in our newly renovated space in Shoemakersville, we feature a large parking lot and three state of the art classrooms. We offer unique opportunities for our dancers including performing at various festivals and sports games, upcoming summer dance camps, bus trips to enjoy shows in Philly and NYC, and much more to come. Each year we strive to improve and grow, so that our dancers can experience all things that are possible for them. We are Ohana, We are Culture Shock Performing Arts Center!

Great and enthusiastic dance instruction. Ms Ashley and associates are absolutely wonderful with the kids, encouraging and clear to understand instruction. Lots of parking and the restroom is kept clean. Lots of seating inside to wait for your child. They also have snacks and goodies for purchase. Always welcoming!

The staff are real, and treat everyone with kindness. I love how they are inclusive of everyone and find a way to help everyone who joins to achieve their own personal best potential. My family and I have been part of the Ohana family for over 6 years. Each year when the recital rolls around it is so nice to see all the dancers hard work and determination pay off. The studio does an amazing job with the recital…always an enjoyable time and the choreography is amazing!

My girls look forward to going to dance every week! There are lots of genres to pick from with easy class times. The teachers are so good with all the kids and really teach them more than just dance moves. Recitals are well organized and we absolutely love this dance family! We are Ohana!!

Culture Shock is a local dance studio excelling in dance, yoga, and even martial arts! Learn traditional dance styles like Ballet or tap, and spice it up with some groovy hip hop or escape to the islands with Polynesian.
Culture Shock is the only dance studio in the area with ADULT CLASSES! And I absolutely love them for it. Being a part of a recital was something I never got to do as a child, and being able to learn a tap routine, and a lyrical routine, and perform them along with other adults and kids passionate about music and dance was exhilerating. I so cannot wait until summer classes start up.
Culture shock also has certified kids yoga instructors and a ju jitsu instructor teaching drop in and shorter session classes. Try it out today! It is definitely the nicest studio around and so full of talent.

I’ve been going here since I was three! I absolutely love them! The staff is so friendly! Everyone here is truly a family. All ages are welcome to join dance and no one is excluded. A safe comfortable environment for kids to be! Everyone is allowed to express their creativity through dance here. They have all kinds of different styles including Polynesian if your looking to try something fun and different!

My daughter has danced here since she was 4. I never danced growing up, so I was a clueless dance mom. Everyone has been so welcoming and helpful and I no longer feel clueless. Going on two years here with my daughter and my son.
I’ve had experience in 4 other dance studios within 60 mile radius- since moving back to this area, after many years. Only one other comes close.
But not like this one.
Mom & daughter run, they are truly caring, both SUPER sweet, helpful, professional, and both are people persons. Whole-heartedly appreciating this from a quite busy dance studio 🤩
