Having tried a majority of the group fitness options in the East End of Pittsburgh, I have finally found one I’m excited to stick with!! I’ve seen the biggest and fastest gains in strength with Ekstasis. I leave each class feeling accomplished and TIRED! Dorian has created a unique class structure incorporating both the use of weights and functional body weight movements to get the heart rate up and challenge head to toe. I truly look forward to going to class!

I came into Dorian’s classes feeling not very strong and dealing with a few sore spots, especially my lower back, which often limits my ability to work out. Dorian not only acknowledged these challenges but worked with me to make thoughtful modifications tailored to my needs. Over a short period of time, his expertise and guidance have significantly improved my overall health and strength.
I can now do more than I thought possible and feel better overall, both physically and mentally. The classes are well-structured, supportive, and genuinely effective. I highly recommend Dorian’s classes to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate instructor who can help you reach your goals.

Love, love, love Dorian’s strength training classes! I feel stronger, more flexible, and more defined than I have in my entire life. He knows how far to push his students. He knows how to challenge me just enough, where things seem impossible upon first seeing them, but are accomplishable with some repetition and critiquing. He shows a move I think is impossible and he knows I’ll rise to the challenge. It’s always so rewarding when I can do the things that I initially thought I couldn’t. And it’s awesome watching everyone in my class progress in strength and stability. Can’t recommend Dorian enough!

I have been training with Dorian for almost 3 years now, and I can truly say he has changed my life!!! At Ekstasis, Dorian incorporates weight training with mobility and meditation for a unique workout experience that you won’t find anywhere else in the city. Additionally, he always pays close attention to each person in class to provide individual corrections and modifications if needed. Thanks to Dorian and the community he facilitates at Ekstasis, I have become so much more confident in myself in both mind & body. I highly recommend if you want to join a positive community and grow both physically & mentally!

Dorian has created a unique fitness experience that will make you crave your next workout. The atmosphere is so positive and uplifting, no matter what mood I go in with, I always leave feeling better. The workouts are the perfect level of challenging and allow you to recognize your progress and strength after several classes. A true oasis in Pittsburgh!

The classes at this studio are the perfect balance of strength and creating resilience in my body for the long term as I age! All of the movements are functional, meaning that they directly support my everyday life with kids etc. Dorian, the main trainer, is extremely knowledgable too if you have any injuries etc. Don't hesitate because he will work with you!

I’ll start by saying I have regularly attended/tried just about every workout class Pittsburgh has to offer, and not one of them comes close to classes with Dorian at Ekstasis. If you’re looking for challenging (both mentally and physically), interesting, intentional movement, this is the place for you. Dorian is so knowledgeable, thorough, & extremely easy to learn from. The workouts are always different but not for the sake of being different, the movements while being new and sometimes unnatural feeling at first are so beneficial. It’s been wildly refreshing to feel like you can trust your trainer to push you further than you can go but also always be sure you’re being smart and not causing injury. I knew I would be a member for life here after just a few classes, Dorian’s training is meant to keep you moving comfortably for the rest of your life, while getting stronger in the process. In addition to all of the knowledge and overall positivity Dorian brings, the community he has built at Ekstasis is so uplifting. Everyone is kind, welcoming, and really there to better themselves. It’s awesome to be surrounded by that caliber of people while you to are trying to grow and get better! When I walked into my first class at Ekstasis, I had no idea what a large impact it would have on not only my physical health, but my mental health. It’s truly unmatched.

Dorian cares so much for every one of his clients! He’s passionate about what he does and it shows!!! The workouts and studio vibes are so unique and unlike any other gym. His classes incorporate mindfulness and strength aspects which is why I find Ekstasis so special! It’s fit for all levels and is welcoming to all! I always leave his studio feeling resilient and ready to take on what the day throws at me!!!

The energy at Ekstasis is my favorite whether it's a class of 2 or a packed class like this morning. I always leave feeling grateful for the time I set aside to work on myself and recharge. Dorian is the best hands down. His background in physical therapy makes me all the more comfortable post-ACL reconstruction
He's knowledgeable especially with choosing movements that help maximize stability and power. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough positive things about Ekstasis Studio and Dorian! His training style, experience, and knowledge are a true testament to who he is as a person. He has created a studio, classes, and community that are warm and welcoming but also motivating and challenging. I always leave class feeling energized and confident in my training. He has found a unique way to combine mobility and strength that really enhances your movement. Best of all, you are working through movements at a comfortable pace, and he ensures your form is correct (super important!). It can be really difficult to find a studio and coach that takes time with each individual client, even in a class setting.
I am extra grateful for Dorian and the Ekstasis community!

I’ve been working out with Dorian for over a year now, and I can’t say enough about how incredible these classes are! They have truly transformed my strength and toned my body in ways I didn’t think were possible.

This is an excellent class and experience. I took my first class today with Dorian and will 100% be back. I have taken dozens of different types of classes in NYC and Pittsburgh and this was truly unique and one of my favorites. I’ve been attending his sessions for over a month and I love it! I feel so empowered, centered and strong I know say to myself “I can do hard things” every time I leave class. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a new and fun way to help your body physically and spiritually. My knee pain has decreased faster from these classes than from PT!

Ok hear me out, this was quite possibly the most creative, intersting (and semi relaxing) work out I’ve ever done. Dorian is extremely personable and methodical with his moves. OBSESSED! I’m still thinking about class… and honestly whoever thinks about a workout like that!? It was that good. I felt exhausted, limber, and, actually, so motivated by the end.
I took the mobility class but I’m already excited to take his strength training and other sessions. This place is a true hidden gem.

My husband and I have been training with Dorian for years and he has made us both stronger and more fit. Working out twice a week for years, we have never had two workouts the same. He keeps things interesting and is always changing and evolving our workouts. The new space is beautiful and functional.

Highly recommend training with Dorian at his studio. His classes will help you build strength, and if you're consistent you will watch your entire body composition change overtime! He's helped me build muscle/get lean...and I've have fun along the way too! You'll also leave his workouts feeling so much better about yourself and you'll get a new outlook on life because of the work you are doing in thy gym! Cannot thank Dorian enough for all he's done for me - best trainer in the Burgh hands down!

I have been coming to Dorian’s new studio since it opened. The studio is very clean with a zen vibe to it. The classes are amazing. You will be challenged and you will sweat in a good way! Dorian is very present in your workout making sure your form is correct. He is extremely warm and welcoming and I always leave his studio very happy I came!
