I highly recommend this wonderful, beautiful studio and the smart and talented people who work here.
I will be 80 years old in a couple of years, and I have had my share of aches and injuries during my life. I have had excellent physical therapy and fitness coaches in the past, but I rate my pilates work with Julia at EveryBody Movement and Wellness over the past three years as tops for my current needs.
Julia is a great teacher and listener, and she has helped me understand the way that our muscles support our bones. At every session, we explore what is going on with my body, and she tailors the session to address these issues.
I always feel stronger after each class, and I have made great progress in the wake of some difficult pain and injuries.
Of course I have had doctors and medical treatment, but my work with Julia has made a huge difference. Pilates is not about stretching, but about building a strong foundation to hold up our bodies so they can move without pain.

Attending weekly springboard classes at EveryBody is not only a joyful part of my routine, but a vital component in my wellness! Both Kalila and Megan are encouraging and supportive instructors who have taken the time to understand my individual movement goals even in group classes. Over the last year(+) I have seen a noticeable improvement in my strength, posture, and general energy level.

I've been coming to this studio for about a year now and can't say enough great things about it! There are so many class options and the prices are really fair. The instructors take time to meet the many needs of a diverse group of clients and care deeply about the importance of breath work, moving with purpose, and community support. If you're looking for a rapid paced hour workout, there are a million options for that in Philadelphia. But if you're looking for a warm and welcoming place to move your body which centers a "challenge by choice" approach to pilates, this is THE SPOT and quite a special one.

Highly recommend EveryBody Movement and Wellness - the space is warm and welcoming and the instructors are wonderful. I started going about 3 months ago and have been taking the springboard pilates class regularly which I not only enjoy, but have been a great source of stress relief and core strengthening. I moved into the neighborhood 2 years ago and had really missed group workout classes after leaving Fishtown since there seem to be more limited options readily available in West Philly. EveryBody has really filled that space in my schedule and given me a great outlet and little community. If you're on the fence about trying out EveryBody, I would encourage you to do it!

My experience at EveryBody Movement and Wellness has been fantastic. I have been taking pilates classes at the studio for three years and over this time my body has gotten so much stronger, I have fewer aches and pains and even my confidence has improved. Julia is incredibly skilled and has a master level understanding of body mechanics. In my sessions, she is able to tailor the exercises to any needs I have while at the same time challenging me and providing a rigorous workout. She is also always coming up with new exercises so it’s never boring! On top of this, the studio is extremely welcoming and feels like a safe space for anyone interested in moving their body.

I started doing individual Pilates sessions with Julia several years ago hoping to address recurrent lower back pain. That issue was mostly resolved within several weeks, but I have continued my weekly sessions as a way to stay strong, active, and healthy now that I am in my mid-70's. I'm pleased that I can still hike, swim laps, paddle a canoe, and pick up my granddaughter. I appreciate the careful attention Julia gives to any needs I have, what challenges I am ready for, and making sure I'm doing each exercise correctly. The Pilates equipment is beautifully designed, versatile, and very satisfying to use. It's a pleasure to look forward to each session, enjoy the workout, and leave feeling stronger, more flexible, and well cared for.

I cannot say enough good things about this studio. As a person in a bigger body, I am always hesitant to try new exercise studios as you never know how you will be treated. But everyone here welcomed me with open arms and catered to my needs both in classes and in 1:1 sessions. This truly is a safe space for EVERY body. If you’re on the fence, just go! You will not regret it. I leave feeling amazing in my body every time and the springboards made pilates so much more accessible to me.

I've been taking private pilates classes with Julia at EveryBody Movement and Wellness since 2021. After years of struggling with back pain and joint issues related to hyper-mobility I have almost no pain, and I'm much stronger and able to resolve flare ups with exercises I've learned in pilates. Julia is very skilled at working with people who struggle with injuries and pain, and she tailors each session to meet my needs in the moment. If I arrive at class with any joint pain I leave having addressed the issues, and usually feel so much better. Julia provides a mix of workouts using the reformer, springboard, and other props and equipment. She's taught me many exercises that I can practice at home in between sessions.
I really enjoy working with Julia, and appreciate the individualized approach to pilates. She's a fantastic teacher, & connects well with her clients. It's a pleasure to work with a teacher who loves her work, and cares so much about her clients and community. The other teachers are friendly, and the studio environment is very welcoming. The studio is beautiful, clean, and a lot of high quality equipment.

EveryBody Moves single-handedly made me love group movement classes! The space itself is lovely and all the instructors are extremely knowledgeable and welcoming of all experience levels. The studio is really committed to serving and building community and it shows. If you’re a little unsure about group movement classes, please give EveryBody Moves a try—I went from dreading my half-hour stints at the gym to happily trotting to hour-long classes at EveryBody Moves four or five times a week. I can’t recommend joining enough!

Everybody Movement is a fantastic Pilates and yoga studio. I have been going there since it opened and taking classes there has completely resolved my chronic lower back pain and helped my distance running. There is a range of classes but I now exclusively take the Pilates classes and particularly find the reformer and the springboard to be most helpful. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable about body mechanics and are professional and thoughtful. I highly recommend this studio for anyone interested in Pilates and yoga. Don't hesitate to give it a try; you won't be disappointed.

EveryBody Movement and Wellness is an amazing studio! I’ve taken the Pilates spring classes and yoga classes. The instructors are attentive and communicative and the exercise feels great.

I mainly do private classes with Julia. She knows body mechanics better than any PT or exercise person I’ve worked with. She is exceptionally skilled at tailoring strength building exercises to your needs. Her classes are rigorous and feel so good! She has saved my back over the years and has kept me in the game by keeping my mobility, flexibility and strength up. I could not recommended Everybody more!

I opted for a monthly membership, expecting to participate in group classes such as barre and circuit training. However, I found that 70-80 percent of the classes were spent doing stretching, which wasn't quite what I was looking for in terms of exercise intensity. After three weeks, I decided to stop attending because I wasn't able to get my heart rate up as much as I had hoped and it felt like a waste of my time.

That being said, the instructors are lovely, and if you're into stretching, they have great equipment. This studio seems more suited for those looking for recovery and gentle movement rather than a vigorous exercise class.

EveryBody Movement and Wellness is a fantastic studio. I have been taking pilates classes here for several months and have been delighted with my experience. I had no prior experience with pilates but it quickly became a significant part of my life.

I have taken pilates classes with Gabi, Kalila, and Megan. They are all wonderful and bring their own unique vibes to their classes. They are knowledgeable about body mechanics and modifications for different injuries or body types, and provide tips on how to adjust the challenge level of an exercise. From what I have observed they are also truly welcoming to different body types, genders, etc. and the studio is a nonjudgmental space where it's easy to focus on doing the work. Class sizes are also small (especially equipment classes) so you can get personal attention if needed.

If you want a gentler, chiller workout (especially if you, like me, had bad gym class experiences, or if you have injuries or other restrictions to work around) that is still challenging and gets results I highly recommend taking classes here. My body looks better, but more importantly, I feel like I can move and function in ways previously unknown to me. I also have a lot more awareness of my body and how it's feeling. Pilates has been a very positive addition to my life and I am thankful to Julia and the instructors at EveryBody. If you're on the fence about trying it, just go for it.
