Imacculate conditions for early October and after a semi-drought this summer. No coupons or discounts so $35 seniors was on the high side ($20-28 elsewhere), We saw only brown areas in the out-of-play areas like when you slice it into no mans land. Greens were very green and smooth but a little too fast on the sloped ones. several times you'd hit the green and it would turn around and roll off the front. The fairway were also very green, but a tad short for me. I can't get under them anymore, so i had a lot of grounders. My younger playing partners had no trouble and thought they were just right. An hour away for us but was a good time so we'll be back again. Playing the sister course next week (HV) so we'll see how it compares to this gem.

Very fun course. The price point was incredible for the course conditions. Being from Montgomery County, PA and regularly pay $70 for a subpar course, Fairview blew me away. Will drive over an hour again to play here.

I have golfed at Fairview Golf Course since 1971. This course is always in excellent condition and is very challenging. A very fair price for a very good challenging course. I highly recommend Fairview Glif Course.

Played Fairview for the first time today and had an exceptional experience.
Staff was very friendly, and the conditions were incredible. Flawless fairways, very nice greens. Greens are tricky but they keep them at pace that makes them fair. Not lightning quick but not too slow either.
The layout is fun and straight forward. A wonderful relaxing round, will certainly be back!

Actually a really well maintained course, few spots where the mowers have shaved the fringes off, but nothing too terrible. Good start house ranger (a real rarity in this price class) with enough time that foursomes don't stack up. If you can hit the ball straight and have good distance control, you'll score just fine, and the layout rewards knowing your bag.
The only real docked points...the greens are insanely unpredictable. Some are very slow (think 60% rollout slow), some are fast, and some slopes will carry the ball the ENTIRE GREEN LENGTH even if you land it on the top of the slope. I believe it's hole 15, where if the flag is in the back...pick it up within 5 feet. If it doesn't drop, you can't keep a ball anywhere close to the hole with how extreme the grade is.

Course is always in amazing shape and greens are very well kept... However, if your're not able to play a round in 3 1/2 or 4 hours MAX don't bother... 4some on a saturday morning finishing in 4 hours and 15 mins and told we were too slow. Maybe it was because were not regulars to this course but no skin off my back never coming back.

Had a great first time at Fairview. Course was in great condition, pace of play was relatively smooth on a Saturday afternoon and the staff was great. I also loved the lounge/bar for getting dogs at the turn and having a drink after playing. Will make the drive to go back!

The golf course and the staff are great my problem is I went to hit golf balls again and they do not have that rubber that you can set your golf ball on to drive it or hit it you have to hit everything off of a mat and when you try and stick your t's in they don't hold well they have to be short and you're constantly having to use teas like as if you were actually out golfing for someone that isn't a really good golfer it's very difficult to use that platform to practice hitting balls I will not be returning to hit any more golf balls there it's more aggravating than it is towards getting results to make me a better golf ball hitter I don't understand why they got rid of them in the first place it doesn't cost them anything to have those rubbers there they've been there for decades that style of practice teas those are my two cents take it for what it's worth

I’ve played this course several times with no issues in the past. However, today i decided to take younger my brother for his first round of golf. We were paired with 2 other gentleman that were fantastic. However, the starter and staff in the clubhouse were extremely rude from the start.
- The pro shop attendant was rude and off putting as soon as we walked in the pro shop. Like he was upset we interrupted his morning.
-Excited to share that this was my brother first round I mentioned it to the starter. THIS was a mistake. We played through the first tee at which point the starter came up to us and told us and told us “we had 2 hours to get to the turn”. As a season golfer this is common sense, so I didn’t see the need for him to warn us in a stern tone.
- We let the three some that was behind us play through as they were good golfers and had one less than we did.
-At the turn (which we hit in 2 hr 10min due to the play through) we were approached by the grumpy pro shop attendant and the same starter asking us If “we were the group with the first timer” and that we were holding up everyone and they had “3 calls about pace of play”. This I knew was a complete lie and they were targeting us because my brother has never played before this. When tried to explain that the group behind us was 2 holes off our pace. The grumpy pro shop attendant told me to “worry about the group in front of us” which makes 0 sense.
My brother is now turned off from Golf due to the rude behavior from the staff. I have convince him that it is not like this at any other courses. The 2 people that we were paired with also reassured him that these guys were just extremely rude and golf is not always like this. So he agreed to again, but DEFINITELY NOT AT FAIRVIEW
-I will never play this course again until they make changes to their staff. RATHER THAN MAKING A NEW PLAYER FEEL WELCOME, THEY TOLD HIM TO HIS FACE THAT HE WAS THE REASON EVERYTHING WAS BACKED UP…. WHICH IN REALITY, it was the group still 2 holes behind us that caused the backup.
I came for the price and nice course. ILL NEVER COME BACK BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE!

Greens and course in excellent shape for mid March. Happy to see a set of Forward (Red) tees out for those in need. Hope (finally) Fairview has Red Tees this year in addition to Gold, White, Blue. They have the teeing grounds, space, property and clientele to offer 4 sets of tees (most forward of tees shouldn't be the gookds) . Hope to see that all year, as my group returns frequently.

The course was in good shape, but the price was a bit high for my liking. This is a $30 to $35 course charging $49. The snack bar was good but the sausage had a thick skin. The bar was very nice and everything was immaculate.

Use to play every tournament i could there, played often. They are part of distinct golf 5 courses. I saved my pro shop credit until i had over $300 so i could buy a club. The management took away my money because i didnt use it quickly enough. They said the backside of the card explains. Give me a break. Ill never support their businesses again. And if i can change your mind, great. Iron valley 10 minutes away has a much nicer course, restaurant, setting and management. Go there :)

Hands down best golf course in Central PA!!! I've played a lot of courses this summer, including Royal Oaks, Deer Valley, Iron Valley, etc. No course, in my opinion, is as well taken care of and as well groomed as Fairview GC! Kudos to the management and the staff to give us such a nice course. Everyone hyped up Royal Oaks. I played there today, what a nasty golf course. Hasn't rained in a few days and there was so much mud on the fairways it was unbelievable. Not impressed at all. Deer Valley was okay but Fairview is now my favorite course. From the tee box to the fairways, first cut, fringe, and greens...everything is immaculate! Good job, keep it up. I'll be back next week and I'm sure many more weeks after that.

My son is the golfer and he was captain of his high school golf team. He said that Fairview is a very nice course. The problem is that twice his foursome has been told to get off the course at 4;30 because the employee wants to go home. Today, the employee picked up one of the golfer’s balls and threw it at him. They had been playing for 3 and 1/2 hours and were in the seventeenth hole. The employee was rude and unprofessional and put a damper on the day.
His response is false. I texted my son at 4:10 and asked where he was at 4:10 and he said he was on the 17th hole. He was home by 5:00 and it was completely dark by then. Calling me a liar could lead to a defamation lawsuit. What kind of person treats customers this way?

Great course to play. Prices are good. There is a starter, but no ranger. Beautiful scenery, but then again I never played a course where it wasn't beautiful. I feel the course is challenging for a women. The senior tees and ladies tees are the same, but as a beginner, I wish they had forward tees. Forward tees help me have a more enjoyable round because I don't hit far at all. Just a suggestion Fairview!

Course is in terrible shape. Ground was hard as rock and rough was trimmed so low as to almost be fairway while the fairway had large portions of bare dirt without grass.
To top everything off, the signage is terrible, and the apothetic and incompetent staff do not help. Instead, they are sarcastic and mocking after a mistake is made due to poor signage, like they enjoy watching people mess up rather than do their job.
Go to a public course. You'll get at least as good a round of golf for far less money.

Just a shame what the current weather has done in the Tri-State area to many courses and their physical properties. Do yourself a favor and get over to Fairview and play a round of golf. Friendly, courteous service from the Pro Shop to the 19th Hole! I have been playing Fairview for about 45 years. Not much about the course has changed in that time, but that's a good thing. The views of the surrounding Cornwall hills and Lebanon County farmland can't be beat. Every hole is different and challenging. Yet it remains an excellent value and is well cared for. I have played many world class courses over the past many years and Fairview still has a couple of holes that are my all time favorites (#8, #15).
